--/Scene 1/--

The scene opened up in Yucca Valley, but not at the Thomas’ recently acquired home. Instead, it opened outside the apartment complex where former AWA World champion Cody Carson resided. He was standing in front of the barbeque by the pool area wearing a pair of flip-flops, jean shorts and an apron that said “Pussy Magnet”. Seth was sat at one of the tables in the area; he was barefoot and sported a pair of red and white swimming shorts, a white beater and a pair of rapers. Jalie, who was lying on an inflatable dragon next to the table, was also barefoot and wore a pair of camouflage Capri pants and a pink bikini top. “Dani California” was playing in the background , setting a pretty laid back mood. The occasional splash and giggle came from the pool, where three of the complex’s occupants were swimming around.

“So what’s with the three lesbatiers in the pool?” Jalie asked while resting up on her elbows.

Cody, already watching the girls, wasted no time in answering.

“The two brunettes are Aimee and Janine. The blonde is Kelly. They share the one bedroom below me. I’ve been working on them for a while now.

“Amateur.” Jalie scoffed.

“Oh yeah? You think you can do better?” Cody challenged.

“How much you got?” Jalie raised an eyebrow.

Cody pulled out his wallet and and rummaged through it.

“Forty-two” Cody finally answered.

“I’ll bet you that I can get them to show me their tits without even saying a word.” She said with that devilish grin of hers.

Cody thought to himself for a moment. If he couldn’t break them in almost a week there was no way she could do it, without speaking a word at that.

“You’re on.” Cody stated.

Jalie stood up and headed for the pool.

You’re an idiot.” Seth finally spoke up. “And in two minutes you’ll be an idiot minus forty-two dollars.”

Cody flipped him off and turned his attention to the pool. Jalie stood at the side of it until she finally got the girls’ attention. With her back to Cody and the camera jalie lifted her bikini top. The girls hooted and hollered before doing the same for her. She put her top back down then walked over to Cody and held out her hand.

“Forty-two dollars, bitch.” Jalie grinned.

Cody grudgingly took the money out of his wallet and handed it to Jalie. She could’ve just put it in her pocket, but deciding to taunt him further she put it under the left strap of her top then went back to her inflatable dragon.

“Told you.” Seth sneered.

He quickly ducked in time to avoid the burger that soared for his head. Cody, in return, dodged the half full beer bottle that Seth launched at him.

“Well, now that my beer is splattered across the parking lotI suppose I’ll go get another one.” Seth announced as he stood up.

Could you get me one too, babe?” Jalie requested with squinted eyes and big smile.

Seth returned the smile and walked off. Moments later Cody received the burger he threw at Seth in the back of the head. He turned around to see Seth standing on the second level platform, arms raised in victory, then disappear inside. Cody picked up the burger from the ground and plopped it back on the grill.

“This’ll be his…” Cody said to himself.

The camera switched inside of Cody’s apartment. Seth made his way over to the fridge and got a couple of beers. On his way back out he glanced over at the couch and stopped. He walked over and found Cody’s replica of the AWA World championship from his reign stuffed halfway under a cushion.

“Hmm…”

Seth picked it up and looked it over for a minute. He was no stranger to a World championship belt, but it had been a very long time since he held one. Yet given several opportunities against Cody, Seth was never able to walk away with it. Was it that Cody had finally reached his full potential? Or was it that Seth was losing his. The match at Final Fantasy will mark the sixth time Seth has been presented with a title shot. Twice for the World, twice for the Continental, and now twice for the Youngblood. Those five other times he came up short in capturing the gold. One thing he could never bring himself to consider is that he was a choke artist. Whenever the opportunity arose he would always come one step short of succeeding. At least that has been the case since he joined the AWA over a year ago. He’s only twenty-six years old, he should just be hitting him prime, not overshooting it. Is going to be nothing more than a sideshow in the AWA? Choking at every opportunity given to him while dressed up in those ridiculous outfits? Was it all really getting to him? These were questions that went through his mind on a daily basis. He had to find a way to break the cycle. He had to find a way to get away from it all. He knew it had to be something drastic. He had to do something radical if he wanted to shift things in his favour. If there was one person he knew that could pull something off like this then it was himself. All he had to do was sit down and think about it. And if things didn’t go his way at Final Fantasy, you’ll be sure to see it happen at Adrenaline.

“Humph.” Seth grunted as snapped out of his trance. He tossed the belt back onto the couch and headed for the door. Back outside, he sat down at the table and handed Jalie her beer.

“Something wrong?” Jalie asked him.

“Nah, I was just thinking.” Seth sat back in the chair and popped the top of his beer. He took a few long drinks from the bottle then set it on the table.

“About what?” She asked, noticing the false truth in his voice.

“Do you ever think…” Seth stopped himself. “Nevermind.”

Jalie, knowing not to push him, just let it go. She laid back down and soaked in the sun while Seth sat I the chair deep in thought.
