..:[Start Roleplay]:.. Jalie Thomas: Hello? Chris Thomas: Hey J. My bro around? Jalie Thomas: Actually, I think he left. Chris Thomas: You know when he’ll be back? Jalie Thomas: No clue. What’s wrong? Chris Thomas: Well...I got a call from the homicide investigations office today. They decided to re-open the case about our parents death four months ago. And apparently they have new evidence that shows... That the fire was no accident. Jalie Thomas: I didn’t do it. Chris Thomas: What...? Jalie Thomas: I mean, they think someone did that? Why? Chris Thomas: They don’t know. They’re not even sure who to suspect. But they want to hear from Seth, since he was the only one there who got out alive. See if maybe he can remember anything or anybody who could’ve done this. Could you get him to call me when he gets back in? Jalie Thomas: Yeah. Definitely. I’m sorry that it’s turned out like this. Chris Thomas: Thanks. But I have to get going. Talk to you later, J. Jalie Thomas: Bye. Jalie hangs up and places the phone back on the wall. She turns around to see Nick and Cody staring at her intently. Hobo Nick: Well? Jalie Thomas: It turns out Seth’s parents might have been murdered. Cody looks baffled. Cody Carson: Murdered? How? Jalie Thomas: Well, his parents were killed in a house fire eight years ago. But now they think someone might have set it. The detectives up there want to talk to Seth, because he was the only one who made it out of the house alive. Cody Carson: That’s going to be rough on him. Jalie Thomas: Yeah. So remember what I was saying earlier. Don’t push your luck. I’ll talk to him later. Jalie sits back down as the scene fades out. The cameras fade back in later in the night. Seth comes walking though the front door and heads for the kitchen. He walks in and finds Jalie sitting at the table. Seth Thomas: Hi honey. Seth walks to the fridge and grabs a soda. Jalie Thomas: Chris called earlier. Seth sits down opposite Jalie. Seth Thomas: What’d he want? Jalie Thomas: He wanted you call him when you got in. Seth glances at the clock above the oven. Seth Thomas: Eh, it’s probably a little late to call up there. Was it important? Jalie takes a moment. Jalie Thomas: I know you don’t like talking about your parents... Seth sighs. Jalie Thomas: The homicide investigations office found evidence that your house might have been purposely set on fire. Seth stares blankly at Jalie. Seth Thomas: What...? Seth runs his hand over his head in shock. Seth Thomas: Do they have any idea who did it? Jalie Thomas: Not yet. But they want to talk to you. Seth Thomas: Why? Jalie Thomas: To see if you can remember anything, or think of anybody who might have done this. That’s why Chris wanted you to call him. Seth Thomas: I... Can’t believe this... Jalie Thomas: Are you okay, honey? Seth Thomas: Yeah... I’m just... baffled... Jalie goes over and sits on Seth’s lap. Jalie Thomas: You sure you’re okay? Seth Thomas: Yeah. I’m just wondering if I should give Chris a call tonight. Jalie runs her fingers through his hair. Jalie Thomas: Just leave it until tomorrow, baby. Jalie kisses Seth then heads for the doorway. She stops and motions for him to follow. He smiles then stands. She disappears out of the scene and Seth’s smile fades. He stands there for a moment, lost in thought, then follows. The scene fades out.
You really are that ignorant, aren’t you? Your head is shoved so far up your ass that you actually think this match is going to be that easy. It’s sixty-fucking-minutes. Are you getting enough air up there? There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. You’ve taken a running leap into the latter. Confidence is a feeling of self-assurance. Confident in your own abilities that you will succeed. Arrogance is overbearing pride that usually results in exalting the worth of oneself to an undue degree. Proudly holding others in contempt.
Sound familiar, Scotty?
That’s where you and I differ the most. I’m not undermining you. I’m not driving you into the ground simply because I think I’m better than you. I am extremely confident in my abilities in that ring. If you’re not one hundred percent sure of yourself, you shouldn’t be in there. And I really can’t stand someone who thinks they are better than everybody simply because they say so. It ridiculous. Mind you you’re not running around calling yourself god such as Legend and so many other overrated wrestlers. Yet, anyways. My point is, Scott, don’t go into Sunday thinking this is going to be easy. And don’t be surprised when you don’t end up winning.
