The Chaotic Wrestling Federation (CWF) was started in January 2003 by Chaos A.D. founding member Dazz and his fellow members Violent A and Souless as not only an alternative to other wrestling promotions but also as a place they could rule with an iron fist however they liked. They had become disillusioned by the fact that the Championship Wrestling Alliance (CWA) had banned Chaos A.D. from competing there due to their dominance in other companies such as Revolution Wrestling Federation (RWF) and many more. Violent A and Dazz had even been banned from tag team competition because of their tight grip on the RWF Tag titles as well as the 6 month undefeated reign as RWF Hardcore champ and several month run as RWF World champ that Dazz had, Violent A's TV title run that lasted several months and the grip that Souless had on the US title. The anger and frustration that this brought them helped make the decision to create their own company to not only do as they liked, but also to show others how a great wrestling company is truly run.
Dazz was named as General Manager of their weekly show Monday Night Havok but banned from competing because of his new role as management. A man named Alex Fealy was given the task of running CWF as its President, Alex being perfect for the job thanks to his loyalty to the company and his honest and fair handling of CWF. Alex and Dazz introduced the Television title to CWF in the opening month then quickly followed by adding United States and World Heavyweight championships to the fold. With the addition of tag teams coming in, the Tag Team titles were soon added, followed by the Cruiserweight and finally Hardcore titles. With stars like Chaos A.D., Nemesis, Spike, Rob Lesnar and the most popular star in CWF at the time Magma, Monday Night Havok became the number one show to watch in America, Canada and the rest of the world. Dazz was known as an egomaniac in his wrestling days but as General Manager, the power quickly went to his head and he did as promised, favoring Chaos A.D. and awarding them decisions and championships, most being overturned by President Alex. He was also innovative though, the best known of his innovations being the Highway to Hell match, a demonic structure in which a 15 foot high cage with a roof is lowered around the ring, the structure covered in barbed wire with various weapons tied to the inside walls while the entire structure is surrounded by a wall of 6 foot high fire. This match was introduced at the June pay per view of the same name to determine the true World champion when a double pin vacated the title and five contenders stepped forwards claiming they had the right to hold it. A 6th man was needed and Dazz placed himself into that match, eventually going on to win the contest and become the World Heavyweight champion once again.
