Dark Rayne entered CWF in February 2005 as Cloudburst, quickly rising through the ranks and challenging man of the moment Christian Cage to defend his International championship at the Shockwave PPV held in March. Cage accepted and Cloudburst caused the upset, winning the International championship and becoming the first man to beat Christian Cage for a title since Cenotaph retired only a month before. A month later, Cloudburst took on Turmoil in what is one of the longest feuds in CWF history, during that period his old manager kidnapped Cloudburst's wife and later killed her, Cloudburst vowing revenge and donning all black, red facepaint and renaming himself Dark Rayne. He managed to get even with his old friend and former manager whilst also teaming with Christian Cage to battle in a tournament for the vacated Tag Team titles, facing off against a friend of his named Kodo-san and then General Manager Jaymz Marshall, who was asked to come out of retirement for this tournament, in a 2 out of 3 falls elimination tag team match. The new Tag champs of C2 and Dark Rayne renamed themselves Talent Inc and recruited Rayne's protege Johnny Speede and Kodo-san, the Dragon Master, into the group. Talent Inc held onto the Tag Team gold for months, being challenged by teams such as Death Wish but it was in singles competition that Rayne really came into his own. He defended the International championship against Turmoil, Rage, Benny Boot, Ox Mann and Enigma in all kinds of matches including a double elimination Sea of Tables scaffold match, a stipulation chosen by Enigma and accepted by the champion. Dark Rayne once again came out as the victor with a Wrath of Vengeance from the scaffold ending the match. Dark Rayne retired from competition in late September 2005 with his undefeated streak as both Tag Team and International champion alive and well, going down in history books as the longest reigning holder of both titles in CWF thus far, an accomplishment acknowledged by the staff and talent within CWF as well as the fans.
