CWF MATCH TYPES LIST

This list shows every match type and stipulation available in CWF. Please note that management holds the right to refuse a certain stipulation at any given time due to angles and other related issues but feel free to request anyway. Also, if you have a stipulation you'd like to use in CWF, feel free to fill in the correct form and you may see your stipulation on this list.



2 OUT OF 3 FALLS MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



10,000 THUMBTACKS DEATHMATCH

This match has 10,000 thumbtacks placed in the ring. The wrestlers can use the thumbtacks as weapons. Victory by either pinfall, submission or knocking out the opponent. A variation of this match is a cross between a Ladder Match and 10,000 Thumbtacks Match called a Thumbtacks Ladder Match in which a ladder is placed in the ring with a reward at the top. Thumbtacks are also spread out across the ring.



(OBJECT) ON A POLE MATCH

Similar to a ladder match except the first man to reach the object hanging from a pole in the corner of the ring wins. In this variation, the object is often a contract guaranteeing the winner a championship match. Alternately the match is fought under one fall rules with the object on the pole considered a legal foreign object. It may be used as a weapon by the wrestler who retrieves it.



AMBULANCE MATCH

An ambulance is parked near the entrance ramp and a stretcher is at ringside. The only way to win is to strap your opponent onto the stretcher and lock them into the back of the ambulance, closing both doors.



ASYLUM MATCH

This is only held at the Asylum PPV. A room is specially customised in the building with padded walls and a bare concrete floor, a camera hidden near the ceiling to capture the action. Wrestlers have to compete in this but weapons are hidden underneath the padding.



BARBWIRE BAT 10,000 THUMBTACKS DEATHMATCH

A solid baseball bat with the end wrapped in barb wire hangs off a pole in a corner of the ring as a box filled with 10,000 thumbtacks lays at ringside. The only way to win is to put your opponent in the box of 10,000 Thumbtacks and to make the pin. The bat is just to make the match a little more brutal than it already is.



BARBED WIRE ROPE MATCH

No holds barred in this match. All ring ropes are replaced with strands of barbed wire with a pinfall or submission determining the winner.



BATTLE ROYAL MATCH

An allotted amount of wrestlers enter the ring at the same time and eliminate each other by throwing each other over the top rope with both feet touching the floor. The winner is the last man/woman standing in the ring.



BATTLE OF RESPECT MATCH

Two wrestlers fight each other for a fixed amount of time with no pinfalls or submissions and no winner, just an all out brawl.



BOILER ROOM BRAWL MATCH

Two wrestlers fight in the buildings boiler room. The winner is the first person to escape from the boiler room and shut the door.



BOWERY DEATHMATCH

This is a cage match with weapons hanging from each corner of the cage. Pinfalls only count in here.



BRIMSTONE MATCH

The only way to win is to throw your opponent onto a bed of burning hot coals laid on the floor near the ring.



CAGE MATCH

This match pits opponents against each other in the confines of a steel cage. The match ends when one person climbs over the top of the cage with both feet touching the floor, escape through the door or by pinfall or submission



CAGE OF DEATH MATCH

A cage is surrounding the ring and various weapons scattered inside it. Winner is determined by pinfall only.



CASKET MATCH

The winner is the first person to put their opponent into a casket and close the lid.



DEATH MATCH

The match begins with one weapon in the ring. A new weapon is thrown in every 2 minutes by the timekeeper. No more weapons are thrown in after the 10th one. Winner is determined by pinfall.



DUMPSTER MATCH

Anything goes in this match. The winner is the first person to throw their opponent into a dumpster and close the lid.



ELECTRIC FENCE MATCH

A special steel structure surrounds the ring and currents of varying degrees of electricity run through it, fluctuating and decreasing at random intervals. Winner is decided by pinfall, submission or knockout caused by electric shock.



ELIMINATION MATCH

This is a match between teams of 2-4 with members of each team being eliminated by pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out. The winning team is the one who eliminates every member from the other team via these methods while still having at least one member of their team left.



ELIMINATOR ELITE

This tournament is only held in July/early August and is in a 3 week round robin style. Four divisions are represented, Heavyweight, Cruiserweight, Womens and Chaos, each division having four representatives who compete against each other in singles matches. The wrestlers from each division with the highest number of wins at the end of the 3 week tournament go through to the Bloodbath PPV in August in a fatal 4 way elimination match, the winner becoming Eliminator Elite champion and gaining an instant shot at the World Heavyweight champion at the September PPV, Mind Games. In case of a draw in wins during the 3 week tournament, the two with the same number of wins will be judged on who won the match in which the two competed during the tournament.



ELECTRIFIED BARBWIRE SWIMMING POOL DEATHMATCH

A ring is placed in the middle of a swimming pool with the entire edge surrounded by barbwire and an electric current running through the water. The winner is the first person to throw their opponent into the water.



ESCAPE MATCH

Opponents wrestle either in a room in the arena or in a room in another building eg a warehouse and the winner is the first person to escape the room.



EXPLODING CAGE MATCH

This is a typical cage match but each side of the cage is rigged with a trigger and a small explosive. Whenever someone is thrown to the steel, the explosive goes off. Weapons are also gathered in the ring. This match is pinfalls only.



EXPLOSION MATCH

Usually accompanied with barb wire ropes, a large barb wire wrapped explosion board is placed in the ring laced with a small amount of C4. The loser is the man that is blown up. In another variation, the match ends with a pin or submission and the explosives can be served as weapons.



FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH

The match begins in the ring but can end anywhere in or around the building and surrounding area.



FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH

Four wrestlers compete to be the first to gain a pinfall or submission over another opponent. Can also be called a Four Way Dance.



FIRST BLOOD MATCH

Simple rules: anything goes and the first person to make their opponent bleed is the winner.



FOUR CORNERS MATCH

In this match anything goes and the object is to touch all former turnbuckles in a row. If your opponent stops you and you dont hit another turnbuckle within 10 seconds, you have to start again from the beginning. Both wrestlers are tied at the wrist with either a strap, a chain or rope.



FOUR PILLARS MATCH

No disqualifications or count outs. The object is to score more falls than your opponent with certain ways to win the match. The only way you can win is to win each fall in the correct way. First fall is pinfall only, second fall is submission only, third fall is First Blood and the final fall is win by knockout only.



HANDICAP MATCH

One wrestler or team of wrestlers goes against a team of opponents with a distinct numbers advantage.



HANGMANS HORROR MATCH

This is a match where 3 foot chains are tied to each turnbuckle and the winner is the person to wrap a chain around their opponents throat and choke them unconscious.



HARDCORE MATCH

Anything goes here. Falls count anywhere in the building and can be won via pinfall or submission. There are no disqualifications. Other variations are No Holds Barred, No Disqualifications and Street Fight matches.



HELLS BASEMENT MATCH

Standard rules apply but the floor surrounding the ring is covered by boards with barbwire stapled to them stretching to the ringside barriers and steel ramp. After a certain period of time, officials light the barbwire on fire. Winner is determined by pinfall or submission.



HELL IN A CELL MATCH

A sixteen foot steel cage is lowered around the ring and pinfalls or submissions count in this match. You must gain the fall inside the ring but anything goes.



HIGHWAY TO HELL MATCH

This is a match only held at the Highway to Hell PPV and has six wrestlers competing for the World Heavyweight title in the ring. The ring is surrounded by a normal Hell in a Cell cage but wrapped in barbed wire and surrounded by a wall of fire. Weapons are tied to the insides of the cage and scattered around the ring. Winner is determined by pinfall or submission.



I QUIT MATCH

There are no pinfalls or submissions, no disqualifications or count outs. The aim is to make your opponent utter the magic words: I Quit.



INFERNO MATCH

Anything goes in this match but a wall of fire is surrounding the ring. You can't win by pinfall or submission, only setting your opponent on fire counts.



IRON MAN MATCH

Regular falls dont end this match. The winner is the person with the most falls at the end of the given time limit. In the case of a draw, sudden death occurs with the next pinfall winning the match.



LADDER MATCH

In this match an object (usually a title) is suspended above the ring with the winner being the first person to climb a ladder and retrieve the object.



LAST MAN STANDING MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



LOSER LEAVES TOWN MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



LUMBERJACK MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



PRISON BREAK MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



SCAFFOLD MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



SINGLE MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



SLAUGHTER UNDERWATER

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



STRAP MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



STRETCHER MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



SUBMISSION MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



SUMMIT OF DEATH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TABLES, LADDERS AND CHAIRS (TLC) MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TABLE MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TAG TEAM MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TAPEI DEATHMATCH

This is a contest in which both wrestlers have their fists taped and glass stuck onto the tape, anything goes and the only ways to win are pinfall or knockout.



TEXAS DEATHMATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TIME LIMIT TITLE MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TORNADO TAG MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



TRIPLE THREAT MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



ULTIMATE SUBMISSION MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.



WARGAMES MATCH

This is like a regular singles match but the winner is the first person to gain two falls via pinfall, submission, disqualification or count out.
