December 7, 2008

Shannon Skanes is seen stretching in his dressing room when Myst enters the picture.

Shannon Skanes - Well, this is super. What do you want?

Myst - I watched your promo this week, have been watching for awhile.

Shannon Skanes - And?

Myst - We need to talk. We need to work this thing through. Maybe I was a bit harsh.

Shannon Skanes - You think so?

Myst - I am being humble and you're giving me sarcasm?

Shannon Skanes - I have a big match tonight. Please stay out of it.

Shannon storms out of the room and leaves his wife fuming while we then see the opening credits, "Lay Down" by Priestess playing as we see images of Tommy Purr, Joe Jones, JC Michaels, Malk, 6Pac Dudley, Bruce Miller, Moose and Eli Ryder before we head to ringside where Henry Lesher and Ricky Simms are set to call tonight's action.

JC Michaels vs. Daniel McCoy

"Firefly" by Breaking Benjamin plays as Daniel McCoy is led onto the stage by Rebella DeCesare and the crowd gives them a mixed reaction. McCoy shakes his head as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and then he pulls himself onto the apron before stepping through the ropes into the ring. McCoy then tests the ropes while his music fades and then we hear "Suicide Messiah" by Black Label Society and JC Michaels comes out to a loud chorus of boos from the crowd. He quickly makes his way down the ramp and has a few words towards the camera regarding Vertigo and his TV title belt before he steps up onto the apron. JC then steps through the ropes into the ring and referee Steve Blake calls for the bell to get the action underway. McCoy whips JC off the ropes and gives him a roundhouse kick to the mat and then gives him a knee to the forehead before going for the quick pin. 1...2... kick out by JC Michaels.

Ricky Simms - The TV title is on the line, the champ with his belt back.

Henry Lesher - That mongrel idiot Vertigo had it.

McCoy stands JC up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. McCoy then goes to the corner buckle and makes his way up the ropes to the top. He then goes for a flying elbow smash to the throat which misses with JC Michaels rolls himself out of the way. Michaels then quickly gets to his feet and starts putting the boots to McCoy while Rebella is seen pacing at ringside. JC then stands McCoy up and whips him over the top rope and out to the floor. Michaels then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. McCoy gets to his feet, turns and takes a flying body press to the floor from JC.

Ricky Simms - Good move there from the champ.

Henry Lesher - Amazing ability by the EVC. They are the best stable this company has ever had.

Ricky Simms - How do you breathe with your head so far up their asses?

JC stands Daniel McCoy up on the floor and slams his head into the ring steps and then rolls him into the ring before doing the same himself. He then goes for the pin. 1...2... McCoy gets a foot on the bottom rope. JC stands McCoy up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick that sends him back down to the mat. JC then goes for an elbow drop, but Daniel rolls out of the way. He then gets to his feet, stands JC up and gives him a series of elbows to the chin that back him into the corner where McCoy then climbs to the second rope and rains punches down to the face of the TV champ. After ten punches that were counted by the fans, McCoy jumps down and takes an eye gouge from JC who then rakes McCoy's eyes along the top rope. JC then gives McCoy a punch to the throat and then gives him a side Russian leg sweep to the mat. JC then goes for the pin. 1...2... McCoy rolls a shoulder out.

Ricky Simms - So close to retaining there.

Henry Lesher - I support McCoy for his Hoshi smashing tactics of the past, but I can't get behind him against a superior talent like JC tonight.

JC stands McCoy up, whips him off the ropes and McCoy ducks a clothesline before giving Michaels a swinging neck breaker to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by JC Michaels. Daniel then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. He leaps off and lands a falling head butt on JC and again he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by JC Michaels. McCoy then stands JC up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a clothesline to the mat. McCoy then goes to the ropes and, as he comes off them, Rebella trips him down to the mat. McCoy springs to his feet and has words with Rebella who shrugs her shoulders while JC gets to his feet behind McCoy. McCoy turns and takes a knee to the gut and then takes a DDT to the mat. Michaels rolls him over for the pin. 1...2...3! JC Michaels retains the title in part due to the interference of his manager. The crowd boos as Rebella enters the ring and raises JC's arms while Shadow and Gary Barber enter the ring and start putting the boots to the fallen and out cold Daniel McCoy. JC grabs the microphone from ring announcer Sammy Jo Johnson.

JC Michaels - I'd like to introduce you to the first lady of the Eternal Violence Connection, Rebella DeCesare!

Rebella DeCesare - *smiles* It's nice to see JC again. McCoy, you got more than you bargained for when you went against an old friend of mine here in Michaels and the EVC pulled one over on each and every fan here tonight. The CWA fans are only puppets in our play.

She tosses the microphone from the ring as Barber stands McCoy up and they ready to beat him down some more. The crowd cheers as they see Scavenger stepping over the railing at ringside. He then rolls himself into the ring only to have Shadow focus on his injured knee and Scavenger is quickly tossed right back out of the ring.

Henry Lesher - That was a short comeback by a piece of garbage.

Ricky Simms - Scavenger is in no shape to wrestle tonight, but he wanted to stop this barbaric activity.

Henry Lesher - His wife is more of a man than he is.

EVC finally leaves the ring as Oopsie Daisy and Ebony Fairchild enter the ring and check on Daniel McCoy, who is bloodied and not moving.

Puck Slapper Julian is seen with Shengee Shmelky in their dressing room.

Shengee Shmelky - Yo yo yo, you got dis in da bag yo.

Julian - Look, we have an agreement here Shengee. You understand?

Shengee Shmelky - Plan B is all set to go tonight yo.

Julian - I need to look competent out there.

Shengee Shmelky - It's all good yo.

Julian - People laugh at me around here. I don't want to be a joke, and I have to do this for Canada.

Shengee Shmelky - For Canada Julian.

Julian - For Canada Shengee.

They high five one another and exit the locker room together as a locker opens and we see Frank Merritt inside of it. He shakes his head.

Frank Merritt - Damn!!!

Kathy Smith/Julian vs. Masked Jobber/Precious Fairchild

"Hot N Cold" by Katy Perry plays as Precious and the Masked Jobber make their way onto the stage, receiving a mixed reaction from the crowd as they do so. Scavenger is still at ringside being attended by my EMTs as they reach ringside and then Precious rolls herself under the bottom rope into the ring while Masked Jobber apparently has the mental capacity to take his place in their corner. Precious then does a few jumping jacks in the ring while her music fades and then we hear "Black Cars" by Gino Vanelli and Puck Slapper Julian comes out with Kathy Smith on his arm. He leads her down the ramp towards the ring and he is playing the perfect gentleman as he climbs onto the apron and holds the ropes open for her. He then nods towards her and goes to their corner while Kathy blows him a kiss and then turns to Precious.

Ricky Simms - Okay, so these two teams might be the oddest I have ever seen.

Henry Lesher - No one cares what you've seen. It's filler and after JC Michaels? This is sad.

Referee Mary Sanderson calls for the bell and Kathy locks up with Precious. Precious then knees Kathy in the gut and then whips her into the corner buckle before giving her a hip toss to the center of the ring. Precious then locks a sleeper hold on Kathy Smith. Kathy answers with a snap mare on Precious which breaks the hold. Kathy then stands Precious up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a knee to the gut before giving her a double under hook suplex to the mat. Kathy then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Precious. Kathy then stands Precious up, whips her into the corner buckle and then gives her a shoulder block in the corner. Kathy then gives Precious an inverted atomic drop, pulls her down to the mat and then applies a sharpshooter on Precious.

Ricky Simms - Kathy has crisp moves inside the ring, her experience showing.

Henry Lesher -  Let's hope that remains all that's showing.

The referee checks for a submission from Precious, but she refuses as she reaches for the ropes. Precious slowly pulls herself towards the ropes while Julian is seen cheering Kathy on from the apron. Masked Jobber isn't doing much of anything in his corner. Precious pulls herself to the ropes and manages to grabs the bottom rope which forces the break. Precious then uses the ropes to get to her feet where Kathy gives her a knee to the gut which sends her through the ropes and out to the floor. Kathy then drops and rolls herself out to the floor with Precious. She stands Precious up, but a woman steps over the railing as if to attack Kathy. She is grabbed from behind by Shengee Shmelky who pulls her by the hair away from Kathy. Kathy rolls herself into the ring and goes to her corner where she tags in Julian while Precious gets away from the odd scene and goes to her corner and tags in Masked Jobber. Shengee Shmelky, meanwhile, now has his legs wrapped around the waist of the almost attacker of Kathy and he has her in a sleeper while she spins on the floor. Shengee can be heard screaming for his mother.

Ricky Simms - Okay, that's weird.

Henry Lesher - And stupid.

Masked Jobber steps through the ropes into the ring. Julian looks down at Jobber and raises an eyebrow. He moves in for a lock up with the little guy, but Jobber kicks him in the knee and does the same again and then a third time. Jobber then shoves Julian into the corner buckle and then charges shoulder first into his legs, then does the same again. Julian then shoves Jobber away while grabbing at his legs. Jobber moves at Julian only to take a kick to the face from Julian who then picks Jobber up and slams him to the mat. On the floor, Scavenger can be seen pulling himself away from the EMTs and heading over to the scrum with Shengee and the presumed Anarchy Angel member. Julian goes for the pin on Jobber. 1...2... kick out by Jobber which draws a cheer from the crowd.

Ricky Simms - The crowd is behind the little guy.

Henry Lesher - This is a carnival, not a wrestling match.

Julian stands Jobber up and whips him under the bottom rope and out to the floor. Julian then drops and rolls himself out to the floor where he is then face to face with Vesuvius. Julian then gives Vesuvius a clothesline to the floor while Scavenger continues his walk over to the situation, hobbled by his bad knee. Julian picks Jobber up and rolls him into the ring before he rolls himself into the ring. Vesuvius gets to his feet on the floor, clearly enraged with being attacked by Julian and he spears Scavenger to the floor while his ally finally tosses Shengee to the floor. She then goes to Kathy's corner and pulls her off the apron which causes the referee to call for the bell as other women show up to start a beat down on Kathy Smith.

Ricky Simms - The Anarchy Angels are here. They just caused Precious and Jobber to get disqualified.

The Angels put the boots to Kathy as we see Ingee Shmelky rushing into the picture, dragging a steel chair behind him. He tries to swing it, but he isn't strong enough and one of the Angels gives him a thumb to the eye before a second gives him a low blow. The Glamour Girls then come rushing out, Lauren Strong and Olivia Shmelky leading Missy and Chastity down the ramp to ringside. Lauren rushes to her husband's side and shoves Vesuvius away. Vesuvius then gives Lauren a kick to the back, then picks her up and slams her to the floor before he heads over the railing and into the crowd. A man in the crowd jumps Vesuvius, tripping him to the floor and another fan starts putting the boots to Vesuvius.

Ricky Simms - Holy crap! That's Fixxxer and Troy Strong!

Henry Lesher - Scavenger's dim brothers are here, super duper.

Ricky Simms - This entire mess has degenerated.

Henry Lesher - This is why women should not be allowed to wrestle.

Vesuvius gets to his feet after shoving Troy and Fixxxer away and finds himself face to face with Tough Eagle.

Ricky Simms - Lauren is his niece!

Henry Lesher - I am in hell.

Ricky Simms - The heroes are here tonight, Vesuvius!

Tough Eagle ducks a punch from Vesuvius and gives him a spine buster to the floor. He then marches to the railing and climbs over it, then he rolls himself into the ring while signaling that he needs a microphone. Sammy Jo Johnson tosses it to him.

Tough Eagle - Okay, let's stop now!

All of the fighting stops and everyone turns to him.

Tough Eagle - Vesuvius, you overgrown child, you wanted a hero? You kicked my niece and tried to beat down my nephew in law Scav here. God knows he's retarded, but he's injured and you're a coward! Your Gothic cheerleaders attacking Kathy, you're no heroes either. My God, what has happened to this company? You want a hero? I own a casino. I make real money. I also don't attack women and I stand up for my family.

The crowd starts a chant for Eagle as Troy Strong and Fixxxer drag a reluctant Vesuvius down to ringside while Lauren attends to her injured husband.

Tough Eagle - Let me set something else straight, though. There are some yellow bastards in that dressing room. I know that. The fans know that. You think you're the man to set it all right, Vesuvius? You blame the writers for an angle you went along with. I remember when my career started. They wanted me to change my wrestling name to Injun Justice. I put a couple of them through a second storey window and I got to keep my chosen name. At one point, I was told being Native was holding me back and I should be more mainstream. I strangled a writer or two and got my point across. Shit happens. Bad ideas happen. Look at this poor masked bastard in this match. He didn't ask for this, but it's wrestling and he'll take the beating because it's his job.

Masked Jobber - Jobber....

Tough Eagle - Don't speak to me. Now, let's talk about this Precious girl here. This girl is a hero, a mixed race star who has turned herself from an unknown to a challenger for Chastity's belt. Next week, she'll win that belt too. You know why? She'll win it because she's a hero and the Glamour Girls are fighting the Gothic cheerleaders, something I thought had been out of vogue since "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Tell you what, I'll even throw a stipulation into this match. We'll make it fun as the title is suspended above the ring and you have to climb the ladder to win it. If you climb the ladder and fail to get the belt or fall off the ladder, a piece of clothing comes off. That ought to bring the buy rate up. God knows I love peelers. Now, a word of advice to everyone. Respect the true heroes of this company or by God, I'll come back to the ring as an active wrestler and turn every one of your lights out, starting with you Vesuvius. You're just bitter because you've been stale since 1998.

Eagle tosses the microphone back to Sammy Jo and then drops and rolls himself out of the ring to the floor. He slaps Vesuvius across the face and then the Strong brothers let him make his escape before they high five Tough Eagle. We then hear "A Place For My Head" by Linkin Park and the crowd boos as Myst steps out onto the stage.

Myst - Wow, what a speech. Eagle, you're retired? All that crap you brought with you tonight is Shengee's plan B? I am going to give you a chance to prove you're a hero. Scavenger there is on my payroll and, as such, I can get him into the ring. Next week, he fights in King of Philadelphia. If you're such a hero, you can take his place anytime you want to. There is a catch. If you stand in for him, he's suspended from action for the next six months without pay. So, let's see what heroes you and Scav really are.

She then smiles, turns and leaves while we see Eagle cursing under his breath, Scavenger not able to put any weight on his injured knee.

Bombshell is seen backstage with Neriah Sweet.

Neriah Sweet - I understand you have a challenge to throw out for next week.

Bombshell - 6Pac, you and I have seen this one coming for sometime and now is the time to make it happen.

Neriah Sweet - But he's in the King of Philadelphia tournament.

Bombshell - And now he gets to defend his title while he goes for a shot at money and a shot at the world title. Next week, 6Pac, I want you in a stretcher match.

Neriah Sweet - That's one of the most brutal matches you can have.

Bombshell - Hey. 6Pac thinks he's hardcore. I know he might have the skill to beat down Hoshi or McCoy, but he won't take me down.

Neriah Sweet - So you like your chances.

Bombshell - *shakes her head* I will never understand why you get on TV to do these interviews when Precious didn't. It's baffling.

Bombshell exits the scene and we return to the ring.

The big screen lights up and shows Eternity, dressed in street clothes, sitting on a hospital bed.

Eternity - It's been a few long weeks and in those weeks the CWA has had time to prepare, to heal it's wounds... But fear not.... My absence has given you nothing more and nothing less than a short time.... Soon, I will be back where I left off, and you will soon find out little to nothing has changed... Me and the rest of them, are just about to pick up where we left off...

He smiles.

Eternity - Japhy Ryder, God ya'll didn't see that one coming did you... Well guess what, you didn't see it coming because you're all too damned ignorant... And that's the same reason you won't see the next EVC move coming, or the one after that, or the one after that.... Japhy hit your sore spot dead center last Overdrive... Look at us for a minute... J.C. Michaels, Dragon, Gary Barber, Shadow, Japhy Ryder and the Eternal One.. Six of the top names in this business day in day out, year in year out.... What are you gonna do CWA, what are you gonna do indeed....

He hops out of bed.

Eternity - What do you have to choose from anyway... Moose.... Spade... Purr... Eli.... Not quite the big names now are they....

He faces the camera again.

Eternity - It's the end of 2008 folks, the dawning of 2009 is upon us as is the dawning of a new era... The EVC is on a high speed training rolling in... And soon, we'll run the CWA to it's rightfull place.... Into the ground... And to quote some old friends, if you don't like that, we don't care... But if you think you can, we dare you to stop us..... See ya soon punks....

With that he slams the camera aside and the screen goes dark. One sentence appears on the big screen.

"Next week, the Eternal One returns...."

The big screen goes black again.

4 Corners Tag Match

"Last Resort" by Papa Roach plays as Black Lightning and Donovan Blake make their way onto the stage, the crowd giving them a loud chorus of boos. They then quickly make their way to ringside and each of them slide under the bottom rope into the ring before posing in the center of the ring while basking in the hatred of the masses. Their music then fades and we hear "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry and Tommy Purr and Bombshell make their way onto the stage. Tommy makes his way down the ramp while Bombshell repeats towards the camera her intention of winning the Aerial title from 6Pac. She then catches up with Tommy at ringside and they stare down Total Darkness while their music fades and then we hear "Switch 625" by Def Leppard and Hoshi and Kira Yakamoto make their way onto the stage where the crowd gives them a loud ovation.

Ricky Simms - The crowd loves the Yakamoto Sisters.

Henry Lesher - Which proves how stupid the fans truly are.

Hoshi and Kira make their way down the ramp and have words with Tommy and Hoshi there while Total Darkness climbs the ropes in the corner and then they leap onto the four distracted opponents, sending everyone to the floor in a heap. Black Lightning and Donovan Blake then stand Bombshell up and whip her shoulder first into the steel corner ring post. They then turns to Tommy who gives them a double clothesline to the floor. Tommy then stands Lightning up and rolls him into the ring before he rolls into the ring and referee Casey Braun calls for the bell to get the action started officially.

Ricky Simms - The Glory Boys aren't even here yet. How can this match start?

Henry Lesher - Maybe they were victims of the budget issues.

Tommy stands Black Lightning up, whips him into a neutral corner and then gives him a dropkick in the corner before he gives him a fireman's carry into a side slam and then he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Black Lightning while the other participants in this match take their place in their respective corners. Tommy stands Lightning up, whips him off the ropes and Lightning ducks a clothesline and then he gives Tommy a series of knife edge chops, backing him into his corner where he tags in Blake. Donovan Blake and Black Lightning then give Tommy a double vertical suplex to the mat and then they stand him up, whip him off the ropes and give him a double dropkick to the mat. Lightning then finally leaves the ring while Blake goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr.

Ricky Simms - That was close.

Henry Lesher - No it wasn't. Tommy is head and shoulders above these people.

Blake stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline as Tommy ducks it and whips Blake into a super kick to the jaw from Bombshell and then Blake staggers back to Tommy who gives him a spine buster to the mat before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Total Darkness has been eliminated.

Ricky Simms - Bombshell is quite the opportunist. She hits one move against the Glory Boys at Scorched Earth and gets the win and now she has denied Total Darkness a win with that kick.

Henry Lesher - 6Pac won't like that. It's a good thing no one gives a damn what 6Pac likes.

Hoshi charges into the ring to attack Tommy from behind and she rolls Tommy into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Tommy. Hoshi then stands Tommy up and whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when Tommy ducks it. Tommy then gives Hoshi a knee to the gut and then gives her a power bomb to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Tommy then stands Hoshi up and pulls her to his corner where he tags in Bombshell. Bombshell then gives Hoshi a snap suplex to the mat. Bombshell goes to the corner buckle and makes her way to the top. She leaps off and goes for a Swanton Bomb, but Hoshi rolls out of the way at the last possible moment and Bombshell strikes the mat instead.

Ricky Simms - Good ring sense shown by Hoshi there.

Henry Lesher - If she had any sense, she would stay down and be done with it.

Hoshi rolls to her corner and tags in Kira. Kira charges into the ring and clothesline Bombshell down and then gives Tommy a kick to the gut that drops him off the apron and down to the floor. Kira then stands Bombshell up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a backdrop right over the top rope and out to the floor. Kira then waits for Bombshell to stand and then she lands a suicide dive onto Bombshell that sends her crashing into the guard railing. Kira then stands Bombshell up, but she takes a jawbreaker from Bombshell who then rolls Kira into the ring before she rolls herself in. Bombshell then stands Kira up and then the arena goes dark, the lights going out.

Ricky Simms - What the hell?

Henry Lesher - They never paid the bills this month. Myst is really slashing costs.

The lights are out for a few moments and then they come back up with Bombshell out cold on the mat, Kira over her for the pin. 1...2...3! Neither Kira nor Bombshell are moving and then we see 6Pac Dudley with a baseball bat in his hands as he retreats up the ramp with a smile on his face.

Ricky Simms - 6Pac blindsides both Bombshell and Kira, leaving Kira on top of Bombshell for the pin!

Henry Lesher - Well, she wanted a stretcher match and he has put her on a stretcher. I get it. I guess he accepts.

The crowd boos as 6Pac heads into the back.

Shannon Skanes is seen with Bruce Miller, the two of them sitting in Myst's office. They are surrounded by security.

Bruce Miller - This is bullshit.

Myst - We had a threat against you two and thought it was better to keep you out of the match.

Shannon Skanes - Why are you doing this? We were in line to become front runners for the tag titles and instead it's the Yakamoto Sisters who have the spotlight.

Bruce Miller - That was bullshit, too.

Myst - Language, Mister Miller.

Shannon Skanes - This is where you tell us we're not getting paid for tonight.

Myst - *frowns* I am hurt. Of course you're getting paid. It's not your fault you couldn't fight. In fact, until the threat passes, you're off the active roster.

Bruce Miller - That is utter bullshit.

Shannon Skanes - There is no threat.

Myst - *sighs* Okay, next week I'll find you something to do. I was just trying to protect you.

Bruce Miller - I call bullshit on that.

Shannon Skanes - Just let me wrestle and leave me alone.

Shannon and Bruce stand and make their way through the security team as Myst gestures that they are free to go. Bruce can be heard swearing in the hallway as they make their exit.

Vertigo vs. Shadow

"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva plays as Vertigo makes his way onto the stage where the crowd gives him a warm reception. He makes his way down the ramp and stops at ringside to look around at the crowd. He then pulls himself onto the ring apron and steps through the ropes into the ring where he finds out Shadow is not waiting. Shadow spears Vertigo to the mat and starts raining punches down on him while referee Mark Davis collects himself and calls for the bell. Vertigo flips Shadow off of him and then quickly gets to his feet where he starts trading punches and kicks with the EVC member.

Ricky Simms - Quick start to this one as Shadow relied on the element of surprise.

Henry Lesher - No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Shadow gives Vertigo an eye gouge and then whips him into the corner buckle before slamming his face into the corner buckle repeatedly. Shadow then gives Vertigo a German suplex to the mat, stands him up and delivers a second German suplex to the mat on him and stands him up, ready to go for a third. Vertigo fights back with a series of elbows to the ribs on Shadow. Vertigo then turns and eye gouges Shadow and then picks him up and drops him on the top rope, catching the throat of the EVC member of it in the process before he is flung down to the mat. Vertigo then boot chokes Shadow, using the ropes for added leverage. Vertigo then stands Shadow up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a clothesline to the mat and then an elbow to the forehead before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Shadow.

Ricky Simms - Vertigo nearly had the quick win and looks good tonight.

Henry Lesher - Yeah, but he's no JC Michaels.

Vertigo stands Shadow up, whips him off the ropes and then both men clothesline one another to the mat. The referee starts counting them both down while the fans start a chant for Vertigo. Vertigo uses the ropes to slowly pull himself to his feet and then he turns his attention back to Shadow, giving him a kick to the ribs before he has a chance to stand. Vertigo then picks up Shadow and gives him a power slam to the mat and again he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Shadow. Vertigo then stands Shadow up, whips him into the corner and then goes for a shoulder block, but runs into raised knees from Shadow instead. Shadow then climbs to the second rope and then gives Vertigo a double axe handle smash across the back which sends him down to the mat. Shadow then stands Vertigo up, whips him off the ropes and knees him in the gut before placing him in an abdominal stretch.

Ricky Simms - Shadow is wearing down Vertigo now.

Henry Lesher - Well, Shadow is vastly superior.

The referee checks for a submission, but Vertigo refuses to submit. Shadow tries to maintain his hold on Vertigo, but the TV title belt kidnapper gives Shadow a hip toss to escape the move and then Vertigo gives Shadow a knee to the back and then stands him up and whips him off the ropes and then gives him a dropkick that sends him down to the mat. Vertigo then goes to the ropes and starts to make his way to the top while we see JC Michaels rushing down the ramp. JC reaches for Vertigo, but Vertigo spots him and dives off the top, giving JC a missile dropkick on the floor. Vertigo then starts putting the boots to JC Michaels.

Ricky Simms - Vertigo saw that one coming.

Henry Lesher - So now he loses because he's an idiot.

Shadow gets to his feet inside the ring while Vertigo drills JC in the head with his title belt before he escapes into the crowd, seeing Gary Barber and Japhy Ryder rushing down the ramp towards him as the referee calls for the bell. He declares the match no contest and Shadow argues in favor of a count out.

Ricky Simms - Vertigo still has the belt and he avoided a serious beat down here this week.

Henry Lesher - He's insane and stupid. Ask Scavenger how far that gets you around here.

Puck Slapper Julian is seen carrying a duffel bag over his shoulder as he heads for the exit only to be headed off by Kathy Smith.

Julian - Look, I am sorry about all that tonight. Shengee is an idiot.

Kathy Smith - Actually, I wanted to thank you.

Julian - But the Angels still got to you.

Kathy Smith - But you tried. That's what matters. You made the effort and I don't regret tagging with you.

Julian - I just wanted tp prove myself.

Kathy Smith - You did. You were a perfect gentleman and we need those around here.

Kathy kisses Julian on the cheek and walks off while Julian's face turns red.

Shengee Shmelky - Yo yo yo, I be hearin' dat yo.

Julian - Stay out of it, Shengee.

Shengee Shmelky - I just sayin' is all yo.

Julian - Skip it.

They leave together and we return to the ring.

The arena is set up for Tommy Time as "Downfall" by Trust Company blares through the arena. The crowd is on their feet as Tommy Purr emerges from the gorilla position and comes out onto the stage in blue jeans, a black t-shirt, and a matching sports coat, a steel chair in hand. Tommy comes down to the ring and steps through the ropes. The music fades as Tommy is given a microphone from Kosmic Kitty ... the ring set up with his usual decor of black/white checkered rug, black bar stools, and glass coffee table.

TOMMY PURR: Welcome to the return of Tommy Time!

The crowd cheers.

TOMMY PURR: Now, tonight, I have two very special guests for this edition of Tommy Time. First off, let me welcome the man that will face The Moose tonight in order to defend his CWA World Title and the man that has actually chosen to spend a lifetime with Kira Yakamoto ... ELI RYDER!

"For You" by Paperback Hero plays as Eli Ryder comes out with the CWA Title over his shoulder. The crowd cheers as Eli steps into the ring and his music fades.

TOMMY PURR: Now Eli, first off, congratulations are in order for you and Kira.

ELI RYDER: I appreciate it Tommy ... and you know what, I'm going to need a best man.

TOMMY PURR: Well, gee, I don't know, I don't want to show you up on your own wedding day ...

Suddenly, "Suicide Messiah" by Black Label Society begins to play and Tommy Time is cut short as The EVC come out united - J.C. Michaels leads Shadow, Dragon, Gary Barber, Rebella DeCesare, & Japhy Ryder to the ring as Tommy and Eli innocently look on. Something smells fishy as EVC invades the ring and stare down Tommy and Eli.

J.C. MICHAELS: Before this pathetic lovefest bromance between you two losers gets out of control, I figured EVC should come out here and break things up before you cause all these fans to leave in droves.

The fans boo as Tommy and Eli continue looking on innocently ... definitely up to something.

J.C. MICHAELS: You see ... I've been waiting all night to see what the great Tommy Purr has in store for EVC. And from what I can see ... we got the jump on you first. Rebella has joined our cause, and with her, she's brought the funds of Mr. Rivers to solve some of our worries. However, Eli, Tommy, your worries are just beginning, aren't they?

TOMMY PURR: No, actually ... in fact, I knew that you guys would be down here to ruin MY show. So allow me to introduce you to my SECOND guest ... who flew all the way down here and had a hard time getting through customs, just to see you.

J.C. MICHAELS: Oh ... really? Who could that possibly be? Jaime Jackson? Rated-R.? Oh, wait ... let me guess ... that cripple, Scavenger?

Tommy smiles and starts laughing.

TOMMY PURR: Close ... his chair.

Tommy then violently swings the steel chair in his hand and knocks J.C. right in the face with it as the crowd erupts. J.C. falls backward and stumbles into Dragon and Shadow.

TOMMY PURR: Here's your surprise ... I warned you to never think I was a lone. I waited for the chips to fall ... and here they come!

Suddenly, Hoshi appears on the turnbuckle and lands a Diving Cross body onto Dragon and Shadow as the crowd explodes. Barber and J.C. immediately go after Tommy and Eli and everyone begins to brawl. The crowd comes alive once more as The Nameless begins marching down to the ring and steps up onto the apron. Nameless steps over the ropes and begins to punch the hell out of Dragon as Hoshi fights Shadow. Tommy and Eli hit double Lou Thesz Presses on J.C. and Barber in the ring and start hitting them in the face. Japhy and Rebella remain off in the corner until now where they ambush Eli with a bar stool and begin stomping on him. They hoist Eli up for Barber, who begins hitting the champion in the ribs.

Tommy falls to the mat as Eternity hits the ring and hits him with a kendo stick. Tommy is hoisted up in the standing position by Eternity, and J.C. picks up Scavenger's chair and eyes it evilly. The crowd cheers as Jack Spade rushes out to the ring and slides in behind J.C., snatching up Scav's chair and hitting a bewildered J.C. with it yet again! Spade then hits Barber with the chair as Tommy hits a Low blow to Eternity and nails a Full Body Snapmare. Eli breaks free of Rebella and Japhy as all hell breaks loose in the ring once more.

Rebella scurries out of the ring and grabs J.C., pulling him from the ring as Barber makes his exit as well. Hoshi hits a Dropkick to Shadow, sending him through the ropes as The Nameless grabs Eternity by the throat and whips him over the top-rope and to the floor. Dragon is in the ring still, and Tommy points to Dragon and then points to the glass coffee table. The Nameless grabs Dragon by the throat and lifts him high in the air before sending him crashing through the glass in the ring as the crowd cheers on!

Everyone looks at an outnumbered Japhy as Spade urges him to get revenge on his father. Eli looks ready to pounce as Japhy asks him to think things through and not be stupid. Eli looks ready to explode, and angrily grinds his teeth before asking for a mic.

ELI RYDER: For all that you've done ... Dad, I can't hit you. I can't strike you down. I'm not that kind of son ...

Japhy nods in agreement as everyone else looks on disappointed and the crowd boos. Eli smiles and shoots a crazy look at Japhy.

ELI RYDER: ... But I do know someone who IS that kind of son.

Japhy turns and walks right into a SuPurr Kick from Tommy Purr that sends the legend sprawling down onto the mat! The crowd cheers as The EVC curse out their rivals in the ring. Tommy grabs the microphone from Eli and the entire group steps toward the ring ropes, leaning over the ropes at The EVC.

TOMMY PURR: You wanted us to do something about The EVC ... and so we have ... if it's going to take an act of God to stop you guys, so be it ... just call us, Divine Intervention!

ELI RYDER: And if you don't like it J.C. ... well ... guess what?

Jack Spade takes the microphone next.

JACK SPADE: Tough shit!

Myst is seen leaving her office, putting on her coat and heading for the exit when she is headed off by Jordan Gibson.

Myst - Oh, great, now what?

Jordan Gibson - The fans are choked about the Jeff Hardy you pulled with the Glory Boys tonight.

Myst - I already got their money, don't care.

Jordan Gibson - Okay, well, I want to talk about this diva ladder match.

Myst - That is a horrible segue.

Jordan Gibson - Sorry, I just need to know how to promote this. So, when a girl is stripped to her bra and panties it's over? She has to strip her opponent or grab the title belt, right?

Myst - The only way to end the match is by grabbing the title.

Jordan Gibson - But if a girl gets knocked off the ladder too many times...

Myst - Yeah, we go XPW with it.

Jordan Gibson - What is XPW?

Myst - Go Wikipedia Lizzy Borden and see what you find. It's been done in wrestling before.

Jordan Gibson - But that would destroy our demographics with children.

Myst - Don't care. You'll have to deal with that.

Myst storms off and then Cordelia Parizi enters the picture, shaking her head.

Cordelia Parizi - I told you she wouldn't listen.

Jordan Gibson - We'll be thrown off the air. I can't let that happen.

Cordelia Parizi - We have the Angels.

Jordan Gibson - Oh, we have options. Come on, we'll talk to your father about this.

The Nameless vs. Gary Barber

"Hollow Man" by The Hollow Men plays as Gary Barber makes his way onto the stage, but he is already brawling with The Nameless. They exchange rights and lefts while the crowd cheers and referee Steve Blake charges out of the ring in an effort to split things up. Barber shoves the referee away as he then rams Nameless' masked face into the stage's backdrop. Barber then pulls the feet out from under Nameless and tries to turn him over for a Boston Crab, but Nameless kicks him away and then quickly gets to his feet and then gives Barber a vicious looking chop to the forehead. Nameless then grabs Barber around the throat, picks him up and choke slams him onto the steel stage.

Ricky Simms - This match will be impossible to keep under control.

Henry Lesher - Agreed and I love it. Violence should be violent and these two are the toughest in the CWA right now.

Nameless grabs the feet of Gary Barber and starts to drag him down the ramp towards the ring, the fans seemingly starting to favor him over the more hated Barber. Nameless then stands Barber up and whips him shoulder first into the steel corner post of the ring. He then rolls Barber into the ring before he pulls himself onto the apron. Nameless then steps through the ropes into the ring and stands over Barber as the bell finally sounds to get the match started. Nameless grabs Barber around the throat and sets for another choke slam. Barber gives Nameless a series of elbows to the side of the head which break him free of the choke.

Ricky Simms - Barber fighting back here.

Henry Lesher - Like I said, these guys are the toughest in this company.

Gary Barber whips Nameless off the ropes and tries a shoulder block, but he barely staggers the big man. Barber then gives Nameless a series of punches to the face and chest that back him up to the ropes. Barber then knees Nameless in the gut and then drapes his throat over the top rope and chokes him with it while the referee threatens to disqualify Gary Barber. Barber takes a half-hearted swing at the referee, but stops short of actually striking him. He then whips Nameless off the ropes and gets air on his next shoulder block. This time, he manages to knock Nameless down to the mat. Gary Barber then gets to his feet and starts putting the boots to Nameless. Barber lands a leg drop across the throat on Nameless and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Nameless.

Ricky Simms - It takes a lot to get Nameless to stay down.

Henry Lesher - Numerous baseball bat shots do it as Sal showed, but we haven't seen him since. I don't think that's a coincidence. My guess is Nameless has him chained in a basement somewhere.

Gary Barber stands Nameless up, whips him into the corner buckle and then climbs to the second rope and sets to land punches on Nameless, but Nameless shoves him down and then gives him a running kick to the chest that sends him down to the mat. Nameless then stands on the chest of the fallen Barber for a few moments before he steps off. Nameless then stands Barber up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a backdrop to the mat and then lands a knee to the forehead on Barber before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Barber. Nameless stands Gary Barber up, then  whips him into the corner before he then gives him a big boot to the chest that causes Barber to fall face first to the mat. Nameless then rolls him over for the pin. 1...2... Barber gets a foot on the bottom rope.

Ricky Simms - If that pin had been away from the ropes, the match would probably be over.

Henry Lesher - You love your almosts.

Nameless stands Gary Barber up, whips him off the ropes and Barber ducks a clothesline and then drops and rolls himself out to the floor. He reaches under the ring and grabs a table out and slides it into the ring. He then grabs a steel chair from ringside before he rolls himself back into the ring. Nameless kicks Barber in the chest, grabs the chair from his hands and then slams it over the head of Gary Barber which causes the referee to call for the bell.

Ricky Simms - Barber sensed that Nameless was too tough to use standard moves on, but he took the chair shot instead of the other way around.

Henry Lesher - Oddly, he wins the match though.

Nameless sets the table up in the middle of the ring and then he sets Gary Barber on it and starts drilling him with double axe handle smashes to the gut. Nameless then slams the chair over the chest of Gary Barber and then goes to the ropes in the corner as JC Michaels and Shadow charge down to the ring. They slide into the ring and gets between Nameless and his target. Nameless then drops himself over the ropes and out to the floor, tossing the chair into the ring at the other EVC members.

Ricky Simms - JC and Shadow stopped what could have been a career ender for Gary Barber there.

Henry Lesher - Nameless has to be seen as a solid contender for the world title. Who can stop him within the rules?

Ricky Simms - I don't know that anyone can. I know he scares the hell out of me.

Moose is seen sitting in front of his locker, staring off into space as Joe Davidson enters the picture.

Joe Davidson - Moose, do you have a minute?

Moose - I was actually looking for inner peace, but sure, I can forget that for tonight.

Joe Davidson - You get a shot at Eli tonight. You're considered a CWA Old School wrestler. How does it feel getting this shot when there is so much chaos going on throughout this company?

Moose - You know, I hate soap operas.

Joe Davidson - What do you mean?

Moose - I am a wrestler. I am not talking about who I dated last week or wrestling in pudding. I go out there and beat people up.

Joe Davidson - What if they wanted you to wrestle in pudding?

Moose - Pardon?

Joe Davidson - Never mind. I guess the question then becomes, do you consider yourself to be an outcast?

Moose - *laughs* It's all drama around here. I am a wrestler. I wrestle. I fight people. I don't care about making friends or being everyone's favorite. I certainly hope I am seen as an outcast. It shows I am doing my job.

Joe Davidson - The perception is that people need allies or they get overwhelmed by the numbers.

Moose - Yeah, I know. I am here to prove them wrong. I am here to prove everyone wrong. It's what I do.

King of Philadelphia Gauntlet

"Evolution" by Korn plays as Greyson Blaze is the first wrestler to come out for the King of Philadelphia gauntlet, the crowd giving him a warm reception as he makes his way down the ramp and he high fives fans at ringside before he pulls himself onto the apron and then he steps through the ropes into the ring. We then see 6Pac Dudley making his way out onto the stage area while Korn is still playing. 6Pac has a baseball bat over his shoulder and the Aerial title belt around his waist. He then runs down the ramp to the ring, slides under the bottom rope into the ring and tosses the belt aside while referee Rob Rai calls for the belt and the fight is on as Blaze and 6Pac start brawling.

Ricky Simms - The winner gets a bye into the second round of the King of Philadelphia tournament next week.

Henry Lesher - That could be huge in terms of an early advantage.

6Pac whips Blaze into the corner buckle, places him in a headlock and then gives him a bulldog to the mat and then rolls him over for the pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Blaze. 6Pac then stands Blaze up and takes a jawbreaker from Blaze who then gives 6Pac a head butt and then an elbow to the forehead before giving him a second head butt which knocks him down to the mat. Blaze then lands a knee drop to the forehead on 6Pac and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by 6Pac Dudley. Blaze then stands 6Pac up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when 6Pac ducks it before he lands a reverse neck breaker to the mat on Blaze. 6Pac then stands Blaze up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick to the mat. He then lands a spring board splash onto Blaze and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Greyson Blaze.

Ricky Simms - Good back and forth action with plenty of pinfall chances.

Henry Lesher - yeah, this might go on for awhile as neither of these guys can get the win.

6Pac stands Blaze up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. We then see Bombshell hobbling her way down the ramp towards the ring, her head bandaged from where 6Pac caught her with the bat. Bombshell picks the bat up off the floor as 6Pac takes notice of her. He laughs and motions for her to get into the ring and do something about it. It's then that Blaze rolls him into a school boy pinfall attempt. 1...2...3! Greyson Blaze has eliminated 6Pac Dudley!

Ricky Simms - Bombshell gains a measure of revenge over 6Pac here.

Henry Lesher - That's small comfort considering he's a nobody.

Greyson Blaze gets to his feet and raises his arms in victory, but he is taken down with a spear to the mat from Ghost. Ghost then stands Blaze up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a series of shoulder blocks there. Ghost then gives Blaze a spine buster to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Greyson Blaze. Ghost stands Blaze up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a dropkick when Blaze side steps it and then gives Ghost an elbow smash to the chest. Blaze then stands Ghost up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a clothesline to the mat. Blake then picks Ghost up and gives him a scoop slam to the mat. He then lands a knee drop to the forehead on Ghost before he goes for the pin. 1...2... Ghost kicks out and rolls Blaze into a small package. 1...2...3! Greyson Blaze has been eliminated.

Ricky Simms - Ghost made quick work out of Blaze there.

Henry Lesher - Well, at least the match is going quickly.

Ghost gets to his feet and we see Hoshi Yakamoto making her way down the ramp next. She climbs onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. She locks up with Ghost and then she kicks him in the gut before shoving him to the ropes. Hoshi then gives Ghost a monkey flip to the middle of the ring and then she springs back to her feet. Hoshi waits for Ghost to get to his feet and then she goes for a super kick, but Ghost blocks it, spins her around and then gives her an overhead slam to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Ghost then stands Hoshi up and whips her through the ropes and out to the floor.

Ricky Simms - Hoshi has to be tired as she has already been in one match tonight.

Henry Lesher - I am tired of seeing her, too.

Ghost drops and rolls himself out to the floor and then he stands Hoshi up only to take a right hook from Hoshi who then whips him shoulder first into the ring steps. She then rolls herself into the ring. The referee starts counting Ghost out as he slowly gets to his feet, favoring his right shoulder. Ghost then pulls himself onto the ring apron and then slowly steps through the ropes only to have Hoshi target his shoulder with a kick to the arm and then she applies an arm bar on Ghost, pulling him to the middle of the ring. Ghost answers with a clothesline to the mat on Hoshi with his good arm and then goes for the quick pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi.

Ricky Simms - Hoshi hanging tough and Ghost has an injured arm.

Henry Lesher - Well, we knew neither of these two were up to winning this match anyway. Don't act surprised.

Ghost stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and then she gives Ghost a backslide into a pin attempt. 1...2...3! Ghost has been eliminated.

Ricky Simms - Ghost's night comes to an end here.

Henry Lesher - But we get more Hoshi. Life isn't fair.

Hoshi gets to her feet as Ghost is rolled out to the floor. He refuses to leave ringside as Malk charges down the ramp and slides under the bottom rope into the ring. Hoshi tries putting the boots to him, but he quickly gets to his feet and then gives Hoshi a series of knife edge chops that back him into the ropes. Malk then picks Hoshi up and gives her a power slam to the mat and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... Hoshi rolls a shoulder out while Ghost is seen still pacing on the floor. Malk stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and gives Malk a spinning heel kick that sends him down to the mat. Hoshi then goes to the ropes in the corner and makes her way to the top. Ghost then calls to Hoshi from the floor and she turns her attention to him. Malk takes advantage by grabbing Hoshi off the top and pulling her down to the mat with a modified DDT and then he goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Hoshi is out!

Ricky Simms - Hoshi took Ghost out, so Ghost cost Hoshi the match here.

Henry Lesher - Well, at least the loser did that much.

Malk gets to his feet inside the ring and Shadow slides into the ring next. He gives Malk a series of upper cuts which back him into the corner and then tries to whip him to the opposite corner, but Malk reverses it and sends Shadow into the corner instead. Malk then gives Shadow a running knee lift and then a snap mare to the mat. Malk then applies a sleeper hold on Shadow, but Shadow gives Malk a thumb to the eye which causes him to release the hold and Shadow rolls himself out to the floor for a breather. Shadow paces on the floor and Malk drops and rolls himself out in pursuit of Shadow. Malk takes a knee to the gut from Shadow who then rams his forehead into the ring apron and then he gives Malk a bulldog to the floor. Shadow then stands Malk up and rolls him into the ring and then Shadow rolls himself in as well, then goes for the pin. 1...2... Malk gets a foot on the bottom rope.

Ricky Simms - Shadow should have pulled Malk away from the ropes.

Henry Lesher - I don't know how Malk kicked out after that bulldog. Maybe there's nothing in his head to injure.

Shadow stands Malk up, whips him into the corner buckle and then he goes for a shoulder block, but Malk side steps it and rolls Shadow into a small package, Malk's feet on the middle rope for added leverage. 1...2...3! Malk eliminates Shadow as the referee missed that move. Shadow pulls Malk out to the floor and then gives him a low blow followed by a DDT to the floor. Shadow then stands Malk up and gives him a second DDT to the floor before he rolls the almost completely motionless body of Malk into the ring. JC Michaels makes his way down the ramp next and he rolls himself into the ring and goes for the pin on Malk. 1...2...3! Malk is out thanks to the sportsmanship of Shadow.

Ricky Simms - Shadow set Malk up for JC there.

Henry Lesher - This is why Moose can't be a lone wolf in this company right now. He'll get picked off.

JC Michaels smirks as he watches Malk getting rolled out of the ring to the floor and the grin fades when he sees that Joe Jones is rushing down the ramp to face him next. JC rolls himself out of the ring and greets Joe at ringside, the two trading rights and lefts. Jones eye gouges Michaels and then whips him shoulder first into the steel guard railing. Jones then gets behind JC, picks him up and gives him an Angle slam to the floor which draws cheers from the crowd. Jones then stands JC up and rolls him into the ring and has a few words with the retreating Shadow. Jones then pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring as JC rolls himself back out to the floor. Jones shakes his head and heads back out to the floor after Michaels.

Ricky Simms - Jones and JC have ancient history between them.

Henry Lesher - Familiarity breeds contempt.

Jones and Michaels start trading punches at ringside. Michaels gives Jones a knee to the gut and Jones answers with one of his own. Jones then slams Michaels' face into the ring apron and then gives him an atomic drop followed by a clothesline to the floor. Jones then stands Michaels up and rolls him into the ring before doing the same himself. Jones then lands a series of rights and lefts on Michaels before he two handed chokes him, the referee counting towards a possible disqualification. Jones releases the choke before the referee reaches the five count and then he stands Michaels up and whips him off the ropes and gives him a lariat to the mat. Jones then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. Jones then lands a flying body press on Michaels and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Michaels. Jones shakes his head and tells the referee that was a slow count.

Ricky Simms - Jones nearly had Michaels there.

Henry Lesher - Michaels has this match won, though. I mean, who else is left?

Joe Jones stands Michaels up, whips him off the ropes and Michaels ducks a clothesline and then goes for a kick to the back on Jones who side steps that, twists Michaels around, picks him up and gives him an atomic drop and then he gives him an inverted DDT to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Joe Jones has eliminated JC Michaels!

Ricky Simms - The defending King of Philly stands tall here.

Henry Lesher - I cannot believe what we just saw. Jones took out JC?

Joe Jones smiles as he gets to his feet, but he is taken down with a spear from Tommy Purr who goes for the surprise pin. 1...2... kick out by Joe Jones. Purr then stands Jones up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a knee to the gut and then a swinging neck breaker to the mat where he again goes for the pin. 1...2... another kick out by Jones. Purr stands Jones up, whips him into the corner buckle and then he charges into a big boot to the jaw from Jones. Jones then jumps to the top rope and gives Tommy a flying clothesline to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr.

Ricky Simms - I have been told Tommy is the last one out here, so one of these two will get the bye.

Henry Lesher - So, it's Tommy then.

Joe Jones stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat and then lands a leg drop across the throat on Tommy before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Purr. Jones then stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a roundhouse kick that brings him back down to the mat. Jones then goes back to the ropes and quickly makes his way to the top. He leaps off and lands a flying elbow smash to the chest on Tommy and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Jones shakes his head, clearly thinking he had it won there. He holds three fingers up to the referee.

Ricky Simms - Jones really thought that was it.

Henry Lesher - Not on Tommy. Nothing will beat Tommy, not even the handsome Jones.

Jones stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and then he misses with a clothesline on Tommy who lands a sunset flip into a backslide on Jones and hooks the tights for the pin. 1...2...3! Tommy Purr pulls out the win with a hook of the tights. Jones is not impressed as he quickly gets to his feet and starts pummeling Tommy with double axe handle smashes, the two of them falling through the ropes and out to the floor where security tries to split them up. Jones screams at Tommy that the King of Philadelphia is his and no one will take that from him.

Ricky Simms - I think a new feud has been born here.

Henry Lesher - I am all for that. Whatever brings me more Tommy Purr.

Tony Parizi looks troubled as he emerges from a board room and then comes face to face with Wyatt Gibson.

Tony Parizi - Now what?

Wyatt Gibson - Well, it's King of Philly.

Tony Parizi - What about it?

Wyatt Gibson - The pre-sales would indicate this is going to be our biggest pay per view since re-opening the CWA.

Tony Parizi - That troubles you?

Wyatt Gibson - That's a lot of pressure on me to put the show together.

Tony Parizi - I now see why Myst ducked out early tonight. We pay you to put shows together, Wyatt. If you don't think you can handle that...

Wyatt Gibson - No, I can. Hey, does my sister have anything to do with the Anarchy Angels?

Tony Parizi - Okay, so now you're asking me questions about Jordan. This is where I have to turn my back.

Parizi then does just that, leaving Wyatt alone with his thoughts and his worries.

The Moose vs. Eli Ryder

"Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits plays as Moose makes his way onto the stage, the CWA faithful already chanting his name. Moose stands on the stage and takes it in, taking a deep breath before he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Moose stops at ringside and then grabs the bottom rope, pausing again to look around at the crowd before he pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Moose then tests the ropes while his music fades and then we hear "For You" by Paperback Hero and Eli Ryder comes out to a huge ovation as well, the CWA title belt strapped over his shoulder. Eli then makes his way down the ramp towards the ring, pausing to hold the title belt up towards Moose inside the ring and then he hands it off to the timekeeper.

Ricky Simms - The main event is upon us and the title is up for grabs.

Henry Lesher - I actually care who wins this match. It's frightening and I don't expect it to happen again.

Eli makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Steve Blake calls for the bell and Eli locks up with Moose in a test of strength. Moose looks to have the early advantage as he bends Eli's hands back. Eli then fights back to even and then appears to have the advantage. There are dueling chants in the crowd as there is an even split in who the fans want to see win this one. Moose backs Eli to the ropes where the referee asks for a clean break. Moose backs off and then the two men lock up in the center of the ring. Eli then backs Moose up to the ropes where the referee again looks for a clean break. Eli backs off and then he shoves Moose. Moose answers with a right hook to the jaw and then he gives Eli a knee to the gut and follows that up with a double under hook suplex to the mat before going for the early pin. 1...2... kick out by Eli.

Ricky Simms - I wonder how long the mutual respect will last here with so much on the line.

Henry Lesher - Not long. It never does.

Moose stands Eli up, whips him into the corner buckle and then goes into the corner and lands a series of forearm upper cuts on the champ. Moose then picks Eli up and gives him a power slam to the mat and again he looks for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eli. Moose stands Eli up, whips him off the ropes and Eli ducks a clothesline and then he gives Moose a leg sweep down to the mat where he applies a cross face chicken wing on Moose. The referee asks Moose if he submits, but the challenger refuses to give up as he reaches for the ropes. Eli struggles to hold Moose still, but the challenger manages to grab the bottom rope which forces the break. Eli breaks the hold and Moose uses the ropes to pull himself back to his feet. Eli then gives Moose a series of knife edge chops to the chest. Eli whips Moose off the ropes and then gives him a dropkick back down to the mat. Eli then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. Eli leaps off the top and lands a flying leg drop across the chest of Moose and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose.

Ricky Simms - Eli was so close to retaining there.

Henry Lesher - Just like you get close to pleasing your wife.

Eli stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and then both men clothesline each other to the mat. The referee starts counting them both down. On the four count, Moose gets to his hands and knees. On the six count, Eli kips up to his feet only to have the feet swept out from under him by Moose. Moose then rains down punches to the head on the champ. Moose follows that up by standing Eli up, whipping him off the ropes and giving him a knee lift to the gut that sends him spiraling through the air. Moose then goes for a sleeper on Eli, but Eli ducks and whips Moose through the ropes and out to the floor. Eli then rolls himself out to the floor with Moose. Eli then starts trading punches with Moose. Moose slams Eli's head into the steel ring steps and then Eli answers with a kick to the gut on Moose follows by a vertical suplex onto the floor which appears to hurt both men.

Ricky Simms - Both men are down again.

Henry Lesher - The King of Philadelphia winner might have easy pickings after this.

Eli uses the ring apron to pull himself to his feet and then he rolls himself into the ring before he rolls himself back out, breaking up the count. Eli then stands Moose up and starts trading punches with him. Eli then slams Moose's forehead into the guard railing. Moose then does the same to Eli and then gives him a hip toss over the railing and into the front row of the crowd. Moose then rolls himself into the ring and back out, breaking up the count the same as Eli had. Moose then picks Eli up and slams him to the floor and then gives him a knee drop to the forehead before he stands the champ up and rolls him into the ring and then does the same himself. Moose goes for the pin. 1...2... Eli rolls a shoulder out.

Ricky Simms - We almost had a new champion there.

Henry Lesher - Eli is showing he is tougher than I have given him credit for. I wasn't wrong, though. He is overachieving.

Moose stands Eli up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline as Eli ducks it and then Eli gives Moose a knee to the back followed by a tilt a whirl back breaker and then Eli goes for the pin. 1...2... Moose kicks out. Eli then stands Moose up, whips him into the corner buckle and then charges straight into a vicious clothesline to the mat from Moose. Moose then stands Eli up, whips him off the ropes and manages to clothesline him to the mat again. Moose then lands an elbow smash to the throat on Eli and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eli. Moose then stands Eli up, whips him into the corner and goes for a shoulder block, but Eli steps out of the way and then sends Moose shoulder first into the corner followed by a roll up for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose.

Ricky Simms - Frantic action here as both men try to end it.

Henry Lesher - They continue to weaken each other heading into the most important event of the year.

Eli stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a swinging neck breaker to the mat. Eli again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. Eli then stands Moose up, takes a knee to the gut from Moose and Moose whips Eli off the ropes, then gives him a kick to the chest and then picks him up for and delivers a Moosedriver to the mat which brings the crowd to its feet as he goes for the pin. 1...2... Eli rolls a shoulder out. Undaunted, Moose stands Eli up, then whips him off the ropes again, give him another kick to the chest and then picks him up for another Moosedriver to the mat. He goes for the pin. 1...2... Eli kicks out.

Ricky Simms - How the hell is Eli kicking out?

Henry Lesher - Maybe he's not smart enough to stay down.

Moose stands Eli up, takes a jawbreaker from Eli and Eli then picks Moose up and slams him to the mat. Eli then goes to the corner buckle and quickly climbs the top. He leaps off and hits the Disasterpiece on Moose and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose and Eli slumps his shoulders. Eli then goes back to the top rope while the crowd cheers. Eli leaps off for another Disasterpiece. Moose rolls out of the way and then rolls Eli over in what is a modified DDT while he is still on the mat. Moose hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Moose is the new CWA champion! The crowd cheers as Moose rolls himself out to the floor.

Ricky Simms - What a classic battle, one that could have gone either way!

Henry Lesher - Well, I will admit they both did well.

Moose is handed the CWA title belt and he raises it high at ringside while the crowd chants his name.

Ricky Simms - How will this CWA legend fare next week and how will Eli react to such a setback at King of Philadelphia? Redemption could start in seven days.

Henry Lesher - Geez, even I want to see this event now.

We fade to black on another shot of the new CWA champ.
