It's a full crowd in St. John's as we get set to watch another action packed edition of Overdrive. We pan around the crowd before we see the opening credits while "Coming Undone" by Korn plays. Images of Rated R, Max Cameron, Tommy Purr, Hoshi Yakamoto, Garth Rivers and Wren SilverPhoenix scroll by before we head to ringside where Ricky Simms is with Henry Lesher to call the action.

Hoshi Yakamoto vs. Garth Rivers

"Money" by Pink Floyd plays as Garth Rivers comes out to a loud chorus of boos from the crowd. He stands on the stage for a few moments with a self-satisfied smile on his face before he starts down the ramp towards the ring. Garth then makes his way up the ring steps and then steps through the ropes into the ring. His music then fades and we hear "Poundcake" by Van Halen and Hoshi Yakamoto steps out onto the stage to a loud ovation from the crowd. She then quickly makes her way down the ramp towards the ring and slides under the bottom rope into the ring where Garth greets her with a series of kicks to the ribs while referee Mark Davis calls for the bell to get things officially underway.

Ricky Simms - It looks like these two are anxious to get things going.

Henry Lesher - I am anxious to get going, too. I might just go home.

Garth stands Hoshi up and rakes her eyes along the top rope. He then whips her off the ropes and gives her a knee to the gut which sends her flying through the air in a somersault before she lands on her tailbone on the canvas. Garth then stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a backdrop to the mat. He then drives a knee drop to her forehead and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi Yakamoto. Garth stands Hoshi up, whips her into the corner buckle and then misses with a shoulder block as she steps out of the way. She then gives Garth an arm drag to the middle of the ring and then places him in a head scissors, in an attempt to get him to submit. Garth refuses to give up when the referee asks him and he starts to pull himself towards the ropes. He manages to grab the middle rope and that forces the break. Once free, he rolls himself out of the ring to regroup.

Ricky Simms - Garth apparently needs a moment here.

Henry Lesher - Hey, if those legs were wrapped around my face, I would need more than a moment. It would take months of therapy to undo that sort of damage.

Garth paces outside the ring while Hoshi grows impatient inside of it. She leaps to the top rope and then catches Garth with a clothesline as she brings him down to the floor. Hoshi then stands Garth up and whips him shoulder first into the steel ring steps. She then stands him up again and slams his face into the ring apron. He answers with an elbow to the gut and then slams her face into the ring apron before rolling himself and her into the ring. Garth then stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a big boot to the chest that brings her down to the mat. Garth then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi and Garth raises a fist towards the referee.

Ricky Simms - Garth thought he had ended it there.

Henry Lesher - We all have hopes and dreams. Hoshi just likes to crush both of them in one fell swoop.

Garth stands Hoshi up, takes a thumb to the eye from Hoshi who then gives Garth a back slide into a pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Garth Rivers. Hoshi then stands Garth up, takes a thumb to the eye and then he picks her up and gives her a power slam to the mat before he again goes for the pin. 1...2... reversal into a small package by Hoshi. 1...2...3! Hoshi scores the win this week over Garth Rivers!

Ricky Simms - This is an upset here as Hoshi wins over the bigger and supposedly tougher Rivers.

Henry Lesher - Hoshi is going nowhere. These fans are idiots.

While Hoshi celebrates inside the ring and Garth Rivers looks shocked, we look backstage where Crystal Braun is with Shannon Skanes.

Crystal Braun - Shannon, we understand this week's show is a little light in terms of those showing up.

Shannon Skanes - You know, you would think that the CWA champ would show up, but Wren is nowhere to be found tonight. Maybe this is a compliment to Tommy Purr that he scared her off. Maybe it's a shot at me and this company. I was very surprised to hear no one had seen Rated R tonight, though. I figured a number one contender match and a chance to even a score with Max Cameron would bring him out. I guess I was wrong.

Crystal Braun - Where is everyone?

Shannon Skanes - *smirks* Hey, if I had the answer to that, I would be running the entire business, not just the CWA. Crystal, it looks like next week I will have to call in the big guns.

Crystal Braun - Who?

Shannon Skanes - Myself.

He walks off while Crystal is at a loss for words. We then head back to the ring.

Bombshell vs. Kira Yakamoto

"I Am the Body Beautiful" by Salt N Pepa plays as Bombshell comes out onto the stage. The fans give her a mixed reaction, but they are all then cheering as Kira Yakamoto charges out and starts brawling with her on the steel stage. The two roll around and slam each other into the steel and pull each other's hair. Bombshell then gets to her feet, pulling Kira up and then gives her a clothesline down to the stage.

Ricky Simms - We move from the friendly Yakamoto to the one that isn't so much.

Henry Lesher - If I grew up around Hoshi, I wouldn't be friendly either.

Ricky Simms - You're not friendly now.

Henry Lesher - I am around important people. You're not important.

Bombshell then grabs Kira by the hair and drags her down the ramp towards the ring. She then picks her up and drops her on the railing. Bombshell then boot chokes Kira on the floor before standing her up and rolling her into the ring. Bombshell then rolls herself into the ring where referee Casey Braun can finally call for the bell. Bombshell goes for the immediate pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira.

Ricky Simms - Bombshell was going for the quick win there.

Henry Lesher - Well, she is Hoshi's sister, so it's natural that a wrestler would assume she would be an easy win.

Bombshell stands Kira up, whips her off the ropes and then gives Kira a dropkick to the chin. Bombshell then goes to the ropes and makes her way to the top. She leaps off and misses with a leg drop when Kira rolls out of the way. Kira then quickly gets to her feet with the aid of the ropes and then she starts putting the boots to Bombshell. Bombshell then rolls herself out of the ring to the floor with Kira close behind. The two start trading punches and kicks. Kira gives Bombshell a series of knife edge chops to the chest. Bombshell answers with a knee to the gut and then gives Kira a snap suplex to the floor.

Ricky Simms - This thing is turning into more of a brawl than I had expected.

Henry Lesher - I expected as much from these two.

Bombshell gets to her feet and then stands Kira up before rolling herself and Kira into the ring. Bombshell stands Kira up, whips her off the ropes and ducks her head for a backdrop. Kira then gives Bombshell a kick to the face and then gives her a clothesline to the mat. Kira goes to the outside and grabs the chair from under Kelly Buchanan. Getting back in the ring, the referee stops her from striking Bombshell. The referee pulls the chair out of Kira's hand and tosses it down, Kira throws a tantrum and shoves the referee. Out of nowhere Bombshell runs up and hits the Taming of the Shrew on Kira, right on the steel chair!!!!

Ricky Simms - The brawl continues and the fans are really into this one now.

Henry Lesher - I am ready for a nap.

Bombshell picks Kira up over her shoulder. She then runs towards the corner, but Kira slides off Bombshell and shoves her face first into the corner buckle. Kira climbs up to the top-rope, but Bombshell crotches her on the
turnbuckle. Kira is hurting as Bombshell climbs the turnbuckle. Bombshell cradles Kira's head and the crowd cheers as Bombshell levels Kira with a Spike DDT from the top-turnbuckle!

Ricky Simms - That was brutal.

Henry Lesher - Having to watch this is brutal.

Bombshell goes for the pin. 1...2... Kira gets her foot on the bottom rope. Bombshell then stands Kira up, whips her into the corner buckle and then misses with a running knee when Kira side steps it. Kira then knees Bombshell in the gut and whips her off the ropes. She misses a clothesline when Kira ducks it and then Kira gives Bombshell a knee to the gut. Kira then whips Bombshell into the corner buckle. Kira then steps in towards Bombshell. Bombshell knees Kira in the gut, grabs the back of Kira's shirt and pulls it over the young girl's head. The crowd laughs at her expense. Kira gets her shirt fixed and turns around and Bombshell nails her in the face with a vicious Bitch Kick! Bombshell then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Bombshell gets the win this week.

Ricky Simms - Big win for Bombshell over Kira this week.

Henry Lesher - Yes, for those with little talent, that is a big win.

While Bombshell leaves ringside with her hands raised in victory, we look backstage where Vesuvius is with Ray Dees.

Ray Dees - Vesuvius, this is an unexpected pleasure. Your opinion on tonight's action?

Vesuvius - Hey, this show needs a main event talent. All I see here are retreads and nobodies. I am thinking maybe I need to step inside the ring and remind people what a real legend in this business look like.

Ray Dees - This on the heels of Shannon stating he will be inside the ring next week.

Vesuvius - No, no, I mean a real legend, Ray. Shannon is merely a man who got what he did by kissing up to people when he had to and stepping on people once he had the power to do so. If he insists on stepping into the ring next week, I may have to take him down a notch.

Ray Dees - We have seen signs you two are working together to run the CWA though.

Vesuvius - Never assume I am working with him. Never believe what you see.

Vesuvius walks off and we return to the ring for the main event.

#1 Contender's Match

"Coming Undone" by Korn plays as we see Max Cameron, Jack Spade and Tommy Purr making their way down the ramp towards the ring. The ring has chairs, tables and ladders around it and there is a contract hanging above the middle of the ring which we know guarantees the winner a title shot. The three men step up onto the apron and then step through the ropes into the ring. Referee Steve Blake calls for the bell as the three men start exchanging punches in the middle of the ring.

Ricky Simms - One of these three men will be the number one contender to Wren.

Henry Lesher - Wren respects them so much she never even showed up tonight.

Max Cameron & Jack Spade rush at Tommy with a Double Clothesline, but Tommy executes a Tommy Tuck Backbend Evasion. Max and Spade turn around and are met with a Dual Dropkick from Tommy!

Ricky Simms - Nice move there by Purr.

Henry Lesher - You expected anything else from him?

Tommy rolls himself out of the ring and picks up a chair and then rolls himself into the ring. He then gets to his feet and takes a swing at Jack Spade. Spade ducks his head out of the way and then picks Tommy up and dumps him over the top rope and out to the floor. Max Cameron then gives Jack a kidney punch and then gives him a back cracker. Max then rolls himself out to the floor and grabs a ladder and then slides it under the bottom rope into the ring. Max rolls himself into the ring where Jack greets him with an eye gouge. Jack then picks up the ladder and hits Max in the face with it, sending him through the ropes and out to the floor. Jack then sets the ladder up in the middle of the ring and starts to climb it while the fans cheer him on. Tommy Purr climbs the ropes in the nearest corner and leaps off, dropkicking the ladder which sends Jack to the ropes. Jack's feet are then tangled between the top and middle rope. Tommy then sets the chair up under the contract. Max rolls himself into the ring and gets to his feet quickly, starting to trade punches with Tommy while Jack Spade frees himself from the ropes.

Ricky Simms - Great action in this match as these three show real determination.

Henry Lesher - Tommy will win. It's his match to win, makes Wren actually show up next time to face him.

Tommy gets whipped into the corner and Max attempts a Thump in the corner, but when he rushes his back into Tommy, Tommy lifts his knees and drives them into Max's back, sending him on his stomach hitting the canvas. Spade rushes up to nail Tommy, but Tommy wraps his legs around Spade and executes a Purricanranna out of the corner to the crowd's delight. Tommy then steadies the ladder under the contract and starts making his way up the ladder. Max Cameron then starts up the other side of the ladder and both men make their way to the top at the same time. They start punching one another while the fans cheer.

Ricky Simms - These guys are fighting hard to become the challenger for the CWA title.

Henry Lesher - I don't know why that surprises you.

Tommy and Max then takes a couple of vicious shots at one another and the ladder becomes wobbly. Jack Spade then grabs the legs at the bottom of the ladder and helps it fall over, sending them right over the top rope and out to the floor. Spade then sets the ladder up under the contract and he starts up while the crowd cheers him on. Max grabs the ring apron and pulls himself into the ring while Tommy Purr slides a table under the bottom rope into the ring. Jack Spade reaches the top of the ladder and grabs a hold of the contract and frees it, causing the referee to call for the bell as Jack Spade wins the match. Max continues up the ladder anyways while Tommy Purr sets the table up inside the ring. Max eye gouges Spade and then sets him for and delivers a suplex off the top of the ladder and through the table which Tommy Purr just set up.

Ricky Simms - My God! Max and Spade are motionless! Spade is the winner, but Tommy Purr is the last man standing out of these three tonight.

Henry Lesher - How in the hell did Jack Spade become a number one contender? He's nobody.

Ricky Simms - The results speak volumes tonight. Spade is in the spotlight and could be the next champion.

Tommy Purr is seen leaving the ring, shaking his head and clearly unimpressed with the loss he took tonight. He heads up the ramp while vowing to the camera that he will get his title shot and that no one will deny him his right.

Ricky Simms - Fans, that brings us to the end of another edition of Overdrive. Thank you for tuning in!

We fade to black as we look at Max Cameron and Jack Spade lying in the remains of the table, though the contract is still firmly clutched in Jack's hands.
