Bengals @ Ravens Post-Game Quotes

Being 2-0
Marvin Lewis: "Starting 2-0 always help down the road, especially when the two wins are in the division."
Carson Palmer: "We won't complain about being 2-0, but the way we've played so far, we don't completely deserve it. We've been able to catch some lucky breaks and luck always runs out."

The Offense
Marvin Lewis: "The offense has looked really good in the first half both games so far, but seems to slack during the second half. In the fourth, when we had a 14-10 lead, I told the offense to score some points."
Carson Palmer: "With what we had going in the first half and our struggles in the second half, it almost seems as though we were playing a different team. Both the passing game and running game seemed flawless in the first half. The second half we focused more on the run because of the lead, but the holes just weren't there anymore."

The Defense
Marvin Lewis: "Those guys are really working hard. Today they stepped up in the red zone giving up 2 field goals on 3 tries. They also caught some breaks with Cleveland penalties."
John Thornton: "We got really good pressure today. Geathers got 3 sacks. Justin got one. The guys behind us did their job. If they got by the line, the backers and secondary made sure it didn't turn into a big play."

Chad Johnson's Performance
Marvin Lewis: "He's really been the shining star in this offense. He's made great plays and put up good numbers in two games. He leads the team in receptions, yards, touchdowns. It's as simple as getting the ball in his hands."

Carson Palmer's Performance
Marvin Lewis: "It's no secret that Carson isn't all that happy with his performance. He had a great first half, but couldn't get anything going in the second half when Cleveland was climbing back. I suppose his high point right now is one interception through two games."
