time: monday afternoon day: february eleventh. place: bailey's bay, bermuda; engel residence. (Warren and Joe went in town to do a little sight-seeing of Bailey's Bay. It's Warren's first time here, so Joe took him to the good spots. I still have the same outfit from this morning on. I can hear Mia on the treadmill downstairs in the basement. Our own little gym. I'm sitting down at the kitchen table, back to the ocean.)(It's below fifty degrees today. That's cold to me, unfortunately. Not too many people in the distance enjoying the beach. I hit record on the video camera.) VIRUS: Well...you got me, Sirus. What can I say? You pinned me. Few people can say that. Congratulations. Unfortunately for you, I'm still a PWA tag-team champion. Unfortunately for you, I still have the title I took from you five years ago. Unfortunately for you, I won't be making the same mistake at Genesis. I won't sit here and try to deny the credit you deserve in beating me. No, I won't, but I will explain some other factors that might have played into why you actually pinned my shoulders to the mat. If you haven't been paying attention and judging by what I've seen you haven't, Corey and I have a bit of a back-and-forth battle going on between us. He won't stay away from my sister, so I had to show him that I mean business. That was February first. Last Friday, he thought it would be funny to handcuff, gag, and humiliate me to try to get something through to me. Well, little does he know I'm quite the stubborn bastard. I knocked my head when he handcuffed me. I had to recover a bit. I had to be restrained from finding him and exacting my revenge, but eventually I broke free from that restraint. I found him and wasted no time in getting some payback. He got some good shots in on me, but I felt I had the upperhand. So this battling back and forth between us because Corey is a douchebag and needs to learn his place -- which is no place near my sister -- has left some bruises and exhaustion. This leads to our match. The main event. After battling with Corey and being separated and brought down by security, I had to go wrestle perhaps the longest match of my career. Turns out, I didn't have the wind for it. And my partner was no where to be found for when it counted. Thanks, Phoenix, for breaking the count and stirring the pot when I had no intention of being beat. Thanks for not breaking the count when I was unconscious for enough time to be beat. (I pause for a moment and do a slow clap.) VIRUS: Bravo. Hey Robinson -- if you never planned on caring about the match and winning and just about getting your rocks off by beating down Raizzor, then you shouldn't have shown up. You should've done your deed with Sommers backstage. It would've been the same result. That might have well been me against Sirus and not a tag match. I obviously didn't have a partner. But hey, I guess neither did you. So, kudos to winning. See? I didn't take away your creditbility. But believe me, I plan on taking it away and more this Friday. Like I said before, I won't be making the same mistake. You and Randall won't be walking out of Genesis tag-team champions. I'll do whatever is necessary to make sure it doesn't happen. Two-a-days, three-a-days; I'll rewind the tape to high school football again and put myself through agonizing pain. I'll be better. Quicker. Stronger. I'll go sixty minutes, hundred minutes. I don't care. And Corey fucking Lazarus won't get in my way. You might've hurt me where it counted, Sirus. Pride. But, rest assured, you won't have that chance again. (An idea hits me. It's a long shot, but maybe it's doable.) VIRUS: I know you're not a man that likes to take people seriously, but you need to. Right now. And here's why: Pending approval from Mark Sommers, I am willing to put the AOWF Tag-Team titles on the line. The same titles I took from you five years ago. You wanna get serious? You want a real match with some quality and high value to it? Let's do it. I had the option of picking Thunderwolf as my partner a long time ago after McCade and I won them, but Dustin isn't available to wrestle. As far as I'm concerned, he's retired. I guess that didn't stop him from showing up last night, sure. But, Enika will be the other half of the AOWF Tag-Team Champions. Why the hell not? You won those titles with Silverback so many years ago in the PWA. It only makes sense that you should be offered another chance to capture them in the PWA. We'll see what Mark has to say about it. This is as real as it gets. No more fucking around. Titles on the line, pride on the line; play time is over. I'm going to devour you both. I'm going to destroy you both. I'm going to show you why luck was on your side last week and why your luck won't even fucking matter this week. I do not forgive. I do not forget. Enika and I will remain champions after Genesis. Don't believe me? Bet against me. (fade.) |
