Killing in the name of ...
Times have surely changed … I felt like shit. Last week truly showed it … Nathan Kaye won over me too damn easily. To lose so easily, on a night you’d consider your ‘debut’. Embarrassed and ashamed. This week, I knew I really had to show up. It was my time to take flight and soar above all. Make a repeat as such as I completed in Majestic. Majestic was where I was ‘truly’ born. Not NLCW or any other place … it was Majestic. Majestic brought the ‘best’ out of me.
It led me farther than I had expected!
Now in the stage where the challenges become harder … I know I have no other option but to be at my best. At all time of the hours. Being victorious is one thing, but being a complete ‘jolt’ to this company is all I can dream of. Standing on top, feeling glorious … fearing nothing as usual as I just stay soaring beyond others.
Where the boat-load of inspiration comes from, you ask? One word. Tristan … my beloved four-year old son. He means more to me than anything. He is the reason why I have come back. His crying eyes to urge me on. His smile to make a cloudy day become sunny. You ask again where I get my resilience. It’s simply all from the same source. You don’t want to believe it … you’ll believe it sooner or later …

I carry the weight of the world as the past is unfurled, but I won't stop to wonder.
Going' through this life on my own made me as cold as a stone.
I'm a ship going under.
And I'd tell you this, but I don’t know how.
I'm caving in and I'm falling out and I can't resist
And I can't rebound with the weight of the world as the world falls down.
A hectic week, I’ll say in which included me being on the road. I wondered how my son was doing while my neighbor had kept a hold of him till’ I had gotten a bit of time to settle back down and realize … just where the fuck I was heading into. Did I really want to come back to Supreme Championship Wrestling only to drop back out or shouldn’t I have just prolonged even longer until I was no more?
So hard …. so …hard!”
The bus was surely here in Baltimore, Maryland. A glamorous view of the partly-sunny day as the clouds made light images throughout the sky. I had no clue where I was going, all I had was the small handy map they gave out for finding your way around the portion of the city that we were in.
“The Comcast Center? Oh … thatta’ way!” I said to myself, while eagerly looking around, with the light breeze freezing the back of my neck.
This would be my very first visit to Baltimore … many said it was the best place for crabs and mostly shellfish and seafood. I wasn’t too much into the seafood department. Continually looking around the area as I pictured and placed myself on the location map, trying to see what was around me, as I headed towards the Comcast Center.
To be honest, half of my focus was worried about Tristan, while the other half remained on the factors of my upcoming opponent. I knew if I’d kept splitting my mind into several sections, I’d soon get a serious fucking head-ache … I didn’t want that!
Tired of looking around, I just took my ass inside, going through the doors as the warm air blew right into my face and through my hair, making my way through the door. It was warmer than it was outside, of course. Looking around, one of the helpful clerks came towards me …
“May I help you …” the young black lady asked as I continued to look around.
“Yes … I’m here for tomorrow night’s wrestling event that’s scheduled … SCW Breakdown. I just want to know where the locker rooms are located.” I said, as she pointed her finger in that direction, leading me towards it.
“Okay … Thanks!”
Walking in medium-pace … I went to the room, looking around as I Ok’d the condition of the room. Heading back in reverse, I traveled back outside to grab my luggage that really only contained a change of clothes and my attire.
“Be right back!” I lowly shouted towards the lady as she nodded.
Back outside, the air became more of a chill … crazy weather in this coast. Five minutes ago, it was pleasant … now I had to throw the hood over my head, while traveling to the storage department on the bus. Grabbing my case quickly, I ran back into the arena, quickly catching my breath as the cold air had drawn an effect on me that quickly.
Back in, I traveled back to my room as I opened the door, going in and closing it immediately behind me.
“Finally …”
Sitting down, finally able to calm down and hopefully warm up, I checked through my luggage as I grabbed the white envelope that I had opened earlier, a letter from Tristan that I had received the other day in my hotel. I kept it surely as a memento to keep a pleasant smile on my face. Inspiring words from him that would warm anyone’s heart up automatically.
I slid the letter back out before unfolding it to its original form. Kind of hard to keep straight, due to the folding of it, however it wasn’t important. I just wanted to read it again, before I decided to get some rest.
Reading it, out of nowhere a slight tear began to surprising shed down my face. Wiping quickly, followed by a short sniffle. I closed it and put it into it’s envelope before sticking it back in it’s place in the case. Zipping it close, I scooted it to the side.
A breath needed at the moment, I inhaled deeply before exhaling. Looking at the bare wooden bench, since I had no other choice, I tilted myself over, laying across the bench, scrunched up like an Eskimo, as the scene slowly faded out to a black screen.

Did it bleed? Was it sore?

:: Sitting in a corner, with a notepad and pen. Martinez sitting there with his bangs covering most of his front face. A smirk at most, is what can be seen as the pictured expression on his face ::
“My, My, My … Chad Evans … aka …. SCW’s God. How un-true …” Martinez shaking his head as the unknown location brightened up to show more of Martinez’s face. “I bet you’re thinking already that you have this match ‘in the bag’, so to speak …” Martinez began to chuckle lightly.
“So wrong. So many choose to assume another one’s abilities and the outcome to where when it all comes down to the end, you’re left without a clue in the world to what happened or how.” He said, as he began scribbling onto the notepad.
“I guess you’re wondering what’s the notepad for, eh? … It’s simply my little list of things that I like to consider as “Soft Spots” …”
“Yes, Chad … everyone has weak spots, and you’re no different. Consider yourself ‘God’ if you think it makes you get more ass, but the fact is pretty simple … you have no powers, you can’t control anyone’s fate but yourself.” He scratched his head lightly. “I’m sorry to spoil your afternoon with this, but there’s no way in hell your ‘wacky’, goofy looking ass will be taking home any kind of ‘W’ unless the ‘W’ stands for “whipped’.”
I’ve broken it down enough for you to understand.
“Forget last week. I took that loss in my ‘debut’. Sure, you’ll make the same mistake many have done over the years. You will under-estimate what’s standing in front of you, and wind up on the flipside.”
You remind me a little of Miller.
“Although, with your atrocious attitude, I’ve learned that you took after Miller in the ‘Arrogant/Cocky’ department. Letting your ego meter go way beyond it’s standards and make of it as ‘cool’. Only if you can back it up …”
“Don’t get me wrong Chad … with those you’ve defeated and dusted behind you … you’ve done well, but well isn’t quite good enough. Even with the ‘kill-off’ of certain people’s career … I almost reached that status months ago. However, here I am … not taking “no” for an answer, and battling it out every fucking week in the only lifestyle that I perform at my best.”
You have no absolute clue what you are about to face …
:: Brushing his hair back, Martinez threw the notepad to the side, glaring straight through the camera lens. ::
“I want you to be in ‘God-mode’ tomorrow night. I want to add more to my accomplishment list, you know? Like have it say … “Broke Down Almighty God ... and defeated him on January 15th 2008” … something like that. It would surely turn heads, but take all of this and throw it in the garbage and watch what happens …”
“You’ll be the one needing to catch a breath …”
“I’m not even going to give that to you. You’re Almighty, remember? You’re better than every “fucking” one. Why need to catch a breath or catch a rest for five minutes. I’m not going to stop when that bell rings. You will think of me as the Energizer bunny … just without the pink. So go do yourself a favor and sit down ….”
Sit down, ‘Ubu’ … Sit!
“You will find out for yourself like many, many others had found out. You can talk all the shit you choose to, but in the end … you won’t have the last laugh. Cedro Martinez will be the one with the ‘shit-eating’ grin placed on his face while waving off in victory. So go do what you do best Chad, grab a hold of the Crisco’ and go fuck yourself … for the simple fact of saving your atrocious ass from hands of defeat. You can then join David Miller and the rest of the crew who chose not to believe in ‘lightning’ until it strikes …”
You will not enjoy this … but I sure as hell will …
:: The scene, at the end of his sentence had quickly faded out … ::
