FORWARD
What’s Happened So Far..

Hello, UPW! How ah ya? Kateh Lea heah, an’ while you may know me from otha’ companies, trust me.. ya only think ya know me. You haven’t seen anythin’ yet.

For mah first match heah, I’m against the always popula’ Trish Stratus. She may be pretteh now, but she won’t be come the end of ouah match. Just wait an’ see.

SCENE [01] ONE
Early Morning Interview

| x | Yeh, it’s been quite some time since ah’ve graced the ring in front of a cam’ra or a crowd, but ah’ll remedy that this Mondeh when ah face Trish Stratus. Ah’m more than reddeh, an’ I hope she is, too.. at least, she’d bettah be. Ah begin to feel as if someone’s wotching me as I come out of a coffeehouse, stirring some sugah into my cup. Looking up as ah put the stirrer into my mouth to taste and see if there’s enough sugah and cream, ah nearly jump outta mah skin as ah see Josh Matthews and his little cameraman standing there. Putting the stirrer back into mah cup, ah smile at
him. | x |

Katie Lea: Well hello, Joshua. How ah you? Doing well?

Josh Matthews: Um.. yeah.. yeah, I’m fine, Katie, thank you. And yourself?

Katie Lea: Jus’ fine, love.. thank you. Can ah help you with something, or do you always travel around with a cameraman?

Josh Matthews: Actually I’m working for UPW now, and I was wondering if I could get a few words with you. You know, sort of let the fans who’ve never heard of you kinda get to know you.

| x | Seeing no harm in it, ah nodded, smiling. | x |

Katie Lea: Shuah, Joshua.. do you mind if we walk back to mah hotel while we talk? Saves time and all, ya see. Ah still have to get reddeh for mah trip to the gym latah.

Josh Matthews: Sure.. we can do that.. that’s no problem.

| x | Turning to mah left, ah start back towards mah hotel, walking beside Joshua with his little cameraman just behind us, filming everything. | x |

Josh Matthews: First of all, for those who don’t know you, could you introduce yourself? Maybe tell us a bit about you?

Katie Lea: Shuah. First of aul, the name’s Kateh Lea. Ah’m from London, and ah’ve been ‘in the business’, so to speak, for around ten ye’ahs. Most would remembah me from the WWE, wheah ah worked with my brotha’, Paul. Of course ah’ve done a lot more than that, but ah doubt anyone who doesn’t exclusively follow meh would know.

Josh Matthews: Have you got any notable title reigns in your history? Anything worth talking about?

Katie Lea: Ah’ve won the OVW Women’s title twice, the World Queens of Chaos title once, and the TWC Women’s title once. Nothing in the WWE, unfortunately.. ah suppose ah didn’t bare enough skin for them to take me seriously as a competitor.

Josh Matthews: I suppose not.. um.. here in the UPW, what do you hope to accomplish? Why did you sign?

Katie Lea: Honestly, Joshua? Ye’ahs in this business, an’ that’s aul you’ve got? You’ve got to get some bettah material, mate. Anyhow, back to your question, ah signed with UPW because ah realized ah missed being in the spo’light.. missed the crowds.. things like tha’. As far as your otha’ question goes, ah hope to accomplish whoteva’ there is for a woman like meh to accomplish.. which is everythin’. Women’s title, top o’ the heap, everythin’.

Josh Matthews: So is your brother here with you, or.. who are you with?

Katie Lea: Ah’m by mehself, why, Joshua? Are ya offering?

Josh Matthews: N-no, I was just wondering, that’s all. So, um, I take it you’ve heard about your debut match already? Against Trish Stratus?

Katie Lea: Ah have, yes. Ah was told by one of Shane’s little lackeys, who insisted on caulling meh Miss Burchill. Ah tried to tell him that wos done with, but he kept on. Anyhow, yeah, ah’ve heard about my match against Miss Stratus, and ah have to say that either management thinks verreh highly of meh, or verreh little of her. Otha’wise, how in the wu’ld would ah evah be against huh in mah first match? It’s somewhot unhud of, right?

Josh Matthews: I’d.. have to say it is, yeah.. but.. is there anything you’d like to say about Trish? Anything you’d like the UPW fans to know?

| x | At this point, we’ve gotten to mah hotel, where ah throw mah now empty coffee cup into the rubbish bin. The doorman opens the door, ready for meh to come in. Looking at Joshua, ah smile. | x |

Katie Lea: Trust meh, Joshua.. if there’s anythin’ ah have to say to Miss Stratus, ah’ll say it in the ring. As fah as the fans go, if they’ve got anythin’ to ask meh, they’re welcome to ask meh themselves. Now if you’ll excuse meh, Joshua, ah have a date with a man at the gym.

| x | Going into the hotel and nodding at the doorman in thanks, ah head up to mah hotel room to gather a few things into mah gym bag before leaving again. | x |

SCENE [02] TWO
Knocking Off the Ring Rust

| x | Inside a locul gym, ah stand inside the ring that’s usually used for boxing opposite a man everyone should know by now. The infamous Mistah Regul is with meh, helping meh knock off the ring rust that has no doubt built up since the WWE. We’ve alreddeh gone through the basics, which ah’ve passed with flying colors. Now aul that’s left is the major moves, most of which he taught meh to begin with. | x |

Katie Lea: Mistah Regul.. no disrespect, but.. ah’m against Trish Stratus. Ah know you’re here to help meh get back into shape as fah as mah moves go, but.. you’re no gurl. Trish is much smauller than you, ah’m sure.

William Regal: I know she is, Katie.. I’m well aware of that.. but your opponent’s size is no excuse for losing, especially when you’re training against someone bigger than they are. Now focus. Let’s go through holds and reverses. After that, we’ll do submissions and reverses.

| x | As ah nod, showing mah understanding, we go into a lockup, Mistah Regul shoving me backwards and turning meh around, capturing meh in an armbah. As ah reverse it with ease, the scene fades out, returning hours later at the end of ouah training session. Ah’m sitting on the apron, going over mah face and arms with a towel as Mistah Regul stands in front of meh with his own towel, still going on about the challenges ah’ll face in UPW. | x |

William Regal: Now Katie.. this Monday when you’re in the ring with Trish Stratus.. don’t give yourself a moment’s chance to think about anything else. You will have to focus on Trish and Trish alone if you’re to win.. but don’t think that she won’t take the chance to enlist someone else to help her. No, I’ve seen what these.. harlots are up to, and Trish is no different.. that I’m sure you’re aware of. She will do anything she has to to win, and that includes cheating.

Katie Lea: Ah know Mistah Regul, trust me. Ah’ve faced her before, and she con’t be that much bettah, even aftah aul this time. Her brain can only hold so much infamation. She’d have to forget her name to learn a new move at this point.

William Regal: That’s not my point, and you know it. I won’t be there to make sure you keep your focus, Katie. You’ll have to do it yourself, and now is a better time than any to do that. Trish is a multiple time WWE Women’s Champion, and that alone is enough reason not to take her lightly.

| x | He goes to continue his lecture, but a familiah face wolks in with a cameraman in tow. Once Mistah Regul sees who it is, his expression says he’d ratha’ he hadn’t. | x |

William Regal: Oh, bloody hell..

Josh Matthews: I’m.. sorry to have interrupted anything, but.. I was wondering if I could have a few words with Katie about Trish.

William Regal: Mister Matthews, correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t you meet up with Katie yesterday and get, as you put it, a few words with her then?

Josh Matthews: Y-yessir, I did.

William Regal: Then tell me, m’boy... WHY IN BLOODY HELL D’YOU NEED TO DO IT AGAIN?! If you were any sort of a good interviewer like you claim to be, then wouldn’t you have gotten what you needed then instead of bothering us now?

| x | Ah put a hand on Mistah Regul’s shouldah, trying to caulm him before ah look at Joshua. | x |

Katie Lea: Joshua, go find one of the meeting rooms here and get set up. Ah’ll be there in a minute, aulright?

Josh Matthews: Yeah.. okay..

| x | Turning to Mistah Regul, ah try to make him see reason before going to find Joshua. | x |

Katie Lea: Mistah Regul, please.. let mah handle this, aulright? Ah’ll tell him whot he wants to know and get rid of him so we can finish ouah training session without interruptions. Just give me five minutes.. that’s aul ah ask.

William Regal: Very well. Five minutes.. no more.

| x | Nodding, ah leave Mistah Regul’s side and find Joshua in one of the meeting rooms as he said he’d be. Closing the door and sitting down, ah lean back in the chair and cross mah legs at the knees, looking at Joshua. | x |

Katie Lea: Five minutes, Joshua.. no more, no less, per Mistah Regul’s instructions. Is that cleah?

Josh Matthews: Yeah.. yeah, of course. Um, I’d guess my first question is.. what do you know about Trish so far?

Katie Lea: Five-four, one-eighteen, from Richmond Hill, Canada. Former model, actress, and television personality, along with being a so-caulled diva. Seven time WWE Women’s Champion, one time Hardcore Champion, and three time Babe of the Ye’ah - which is practically useless. She kissed Pamela Anderson but still refuses to do Playboy, which is rather lame. She’s tried opening a yoga studio, which failed, and has been on more cancelled television shows than Hulk Hogan. Have I missed anything?

Josh Matthews: No, that.. um.. that’s pretty much it. You’ve.. certainly done your homework.

Katie Lea: Of course ah have. Why wouldn’t ah? Certainly you don’t think of meh as stupid, Joshua? Ah do research on aul mah opponents. Of course nobodeh is or can be boiled down to just whot they’ve done outside the ring, yeh? Their in-ring work is more important than whot they look like on television or whot they look like in a bikini, and Miss Stratus’ in-ring work is nothing to take lightly.. but my question is this, Joshua. Whot has she done heah? Stahlet’s Wuld Champion and Stahlet’s Intahcontenintal Champion, that’s true.. but really.. whot woman con’t do that with enough easy wins undah thier belt? Surely to get to the top, Miss Stratus has either slept her way up there, or she got a load of easy matches. Eitha way, ah’ll show her whot it really takes to get to the top, and it’s not a nice fig’ya or paying off the matchmakahs. It’s talent, pure and simpul.. and ah have it in spades.

Josh Matthews: Do you think Trish will use others to further her skill, to make sure she wins, or will she play it safe and try to beat you on her own merit?

Katie Lea: Joshua, for the guhl to beat meh using her own talent, she would need to be verreh talented, don’t you think? Verreh versatile.. verreh smart.. and she is neither of those. She is, howevah, verreh quick, but that, ah think, will be her downfaull. The little bird will be grounded permenentleh, and ah will make shuah of that. You know whot happens to little birdies who’ah grounded, right, Joshua? They die. They stahve to death and they die.. just like Miss Stratus will come Mondeh. The poor guhl won’t know whot hit her, but ah will be verreh glad to give her a second chance once she recovers.. if she does.

Josh Matthews: So.. you’re saying she’ll use others to help her win? Have you ever known her to do that?

Katie Lea: Ah haven’t, no, but there’s aulways a first time for ev’rehthing, right? She’ll soon learn that she’s no match for meh and have to enlist someone else’s help. With how things ah going around heah, it’ll probableh be The Beautiful People, or whotevah they caull themselves. To meh, they’re nothin’ but a group of people who’ve had fah too much Botox and tanning time to tell wheah they end and the tanning booth begins. It’s disgusting and makes them look like they belong in a bronze museum or somethin. Aside from this, it’s verreh boring, wotching them talk about how good they think they look or who’s got the hotter boyfriend. Ah can settle both problems for them - they don’t, and neither one. They don’t botha meh in the least, and if they make the mistake of interfering in mah match, it’ll be the last mistake they’ll want to make.

Josh Matthews: I.. definitely wouldn’t want to be them, then, believe me. | x | He looks at his wotch. | x | I, um.. I think that’s our five minutes, Katie. I.. thank you for the time, and wish you luck against Trish.

| x | As ah get up from mah seat, ah smirk at him. | x |

Katie Lea: Ah thank you, Joshua, but when you have skill like meh, you don’t need luck. See you Mondeh, yeh?

| x | Walking out of the meeting room, ah let the door shut behind meh as ah rejoin Mistah Regul to resume mah training, leaving Joshua and his little cameraman sitting there as the scene fades out. | x |
