Los Angeles, California
It's a capacity crowd filing into the Staples Center as another edition of Insurgence gets ready to hit the airwaves. The crowd's excitement over Backdraft next week is obvious to ay and all who are watching or attending this event. The camera opens up
backstage on a lovely pair of elegantly-shaped legs. The camera pans
upward and we see that the legs belong to Mrs. Robinson as she
struts down a long hallway deep inside the arena, on her way toward
an unknown destination. The destination is made apparent when she
stops short outside of a dressing room that reads The Ring of Power.
Mrs. Robinson knocks on the door and without waiting for a response,
she swings the door open, walking in on half-dressed Shannon Skanes.
Skanes looks surprised at first at the sudden intrusion, before
realizing that its just Mrs. Robinson. Simon vs. Spartacus Conway "Slither" by Velvet Revolver plays as Spartacus Conway makes his way out from the back to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He holds his Xtreme title high as he makes his way towards the ring. He makes his way around the ring, handing off his title belt to the time keepers before he then makes his way up the ring steps and then enters the ring. He tests the ropes as his music fades and we hear "Passive" by A Perfect Circle starting to play, marking Simon's entrance. The crowd erupts with boos as Simon starts towards the ring. He is led by Xandra who takes her place at ringside and accepts a kiss from her husband before he pulls himself up onto the apron. He steps into the ring with Xandra applauding him and trying in vain to get the crowd to chant his name. Instead, they start a "Simon sucks!" chant. Ricky Simms - These fans are giving their opinion on Simon right off the top of the show this week. Henry Lesher - I should feel honored, sitting next to the man Parker Davis pummeled last week, Ricky Simms - At least I stood for what was right. Henry Lesher - Yeah, and then you got your ass kicked for it. Simon steps into the ring and the bell sounds to get the match underway. Simon locks up with Spartacus and then backs Conway into the ropes where referee Joe Davidson demands a clean break. Simon backs off, but then throws a forearm upper cut on Conway. Simon then gives Conway a snap mare to the mat and applies a standing side headlock. Conway quickly stands Simon up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a spear as he stumbles out of it. Spartacus then picks Simon up and tosses him over the top rope and out to the floor. Xandra goes to Simon to check on him as Spartacus drops and rolls out of the ring to the floor as well. Xandra then places something in Simon's hand before standing and confronting Spartacus. Ricky Simms - She might want to back down here. Henry Lesher - Conway might break her in half. This could be fun to watch. She maneuvers her way around Spartacus so that his back is turned to Simon. We can then see Simon putting on a pair of brass knuckles while referee Joe Davidson tries to get Xandra and Conway away from each other. Xandra turns and slides into the ring and races across the ring, Conway in close pursuit. She slides out of the ring and starts running around it with the monster right on her heels. Simon drills Conway in the forehead with the brass knuckles as Xandra falls down and appears to twist her ankle. The referee asks if she's all right while Simon smashes Spartacus face first into the steel steps and then gives him another punch to the forehead with the brass knuckles before rolling him into the ring. Simon then rolls himself into the ring and smiles. He then proceeds to places Spartacus over his shoulders and delivers the 7th Sign before rolling him over for the pin attempt. 1...2...3! Simon grabs the win over Conway this week. Ricky Simms - Another underhanded tactic wins Simon the match, Henry Lesher - He's sending a message to Ryan that he will do whatever it takes to win this coming week. I hope Ryan is taking notice. TThe
camera cuts backstage to Damien Shaw as he steps into Vesuvius
office. Vesuvius is caught off-guard and doesn't know who this
blonde-haired male is. Daniel McCoy vs. Bombshell "Delilah" by Mindset plays as Daniel McCoy comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd. He high fives fans along the way to the ring and then climbs up onto the ring apron before stepping into the ring, He poses on the second rope in the corner and the crowd cheers him on. He then jumps down while his music fades out and then we hear "I Am the Body Beautiful" by Salt N Pepa and Bombshell comes towards the ring to the opposite reaction from the crowd. Outside of a few catcalls for Bombshell, the reaction is entirely negative and some nasty chants are started up by this Los Angeles crowd. She stops at ringside, Gerard Angelo there for her this week as usual. Ricky Simms - I don't trust this couple in the slightest. Henry Lesher - That's because you're a paranoid person. You don't see the good in them. I am sad for you. Ricky Simms - Doc, you hate them both. Henry Lesher - But I hate you more. Everything is relative. Bombshell pulls herself up onto the apron and then leaps over the ropes into the ring where Francis Clarke then calls for the bell to get the action underway. McCoy locks up with Bombshell, backs her into the ropes and the referee asks for a clean break. McCoy backs away slowly and Bombshell gives him a thumb to the eye. Bombshell then knee lifts McCoy before she rakes his eyes along the top rope. She then tosses him through the ropes and out to the floor. Referee Francis Clarke warns her against this, turning his back to McCoy and Gerard gives McCoy a series of kicks to the ribs before standing him up and rolling him back into the ring. Bombshell then boot chokes McCoy, using the ropes for added leverage while Angelo applauds from ringside. Bombshell releases the choke, stands McCoy up and whips him off the ropes. McCoy grabs the ropes and Bombshell misses with a dropkick, hitting only air and then falling quickly to the mat. McCoy then leg drops Bombshell across the throat and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Bombshell. Ricky Simms - An apprentice of Tommy Purr's here against his ex. It's an odd match up. Henry Lesher - Look, it bores me. I want it to end. McCoy stands Bombshell up, whips her off the ropes and clotheslines her down to the mat. McCoy then climbs the ropes in the corner while Angelo shouts at him from ringside. McCoy looks into the ring, then out at Angelo. He then turns and lands a flying cross body onto Gerard Angelo. McCoy then gets to his feet, rolls himself into the ring and finds himself in a headlock courtesy of the former Superior champion Bombshell. She lands a bulldog on McCoy and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by McCoy. Bombshell stands Daniel up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a spinning heel kick that sends him down to the mat. Bombshell then stands him up once more, whips him into the corner and then goes for a handspring back elbow only to find no one home as Daniel steps out of the corner. He then gives Bombshell a side Russian leg sweep to the mat and again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Bombshell who then rolls herself out of the ring. Ricky Simms - Bombshell deciding to take a break here. Henry Lesher - A match against this guy is a break. Bombshell talks things over with Gerard while McCoy gets to his feet. Bombshell then pulls herself up onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. McCoy and Bombshell then lock up again. Bombshell whips McCoy off the ropes and Gerard grabs his feet and then pulls him out of the ring, causing referee Francis Clarke to call for the bell. Gerard gives McCoy a clothesline to the floor and then grabs the ring steps and smashes them across the skull of Daniel McCoy. He then tells Daniel that's what he gets for putting his hands on Bombshell. Ricky Simms - McCoy wins by DQ after Gerry snapped there! Henry Lesher - I guess when McCoy showed he wasn't going to lie down without a fight, Gerry decided to take the fight out of him. I like that. Ricky Simms - You would.
The camera sees Phil Castle walking down
the corridor leading to his office. Castle enters his office, but is
rather weary considering his door is wide open. Castle is pleasantly
surprised as we see Precious Fairchild, dressed in a form-fitting women's
business suit, sitting on the edge of Castles desk, her legs
crossed. "The Package" by A Perfect Circle plays as Tre Valdez comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He marches towards the ring, looking with disdain upon the crowd. He stops at ringside and tells the camera that the king of AW is here and then he steps up onto the apron where he poses once for the crowd. He then steps through the ropes into the ring and then his music fades and we hear "Heirate Mich" by Rammstein and Vesuvius comes out to a mixed reaction as well. He almost sprints to the ring, slides in underneath the bottom rope and then starts brawling with Valdez as the bell sounds to start the match. Ricky Simms - Valdez is self-proclaimed royalty and facing the mountain man this week. Henry Lesher - I am almost interested in this match, but not really. Vesuvius and Valdez brawl their way from corner to corner while the fans cheer the violence of it. Vesuvius gives Valdez a wicked knife edge chop to the chest. Valdez then gives Vesuvius a thumb to the eye and a knee to the gut. Vesuvius answers with a series of forearm upper cuts that send Valdez into the corner buckle. Vesuvius then gives him a double under hook suplex to the middle of the ring. Vesuvius then climbs to the second rope and plants a knee to the chest of Valdez from there and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Valdez and Vesuvius slaps the mat and has words with referee Steve Blake. Vesuvius then stands Valdez up, whips him off the ropes and clotheslines him down to the mat. Ricky Simms - Impressive showing thus far for Vesuvius. Henry Lesher - No wrestling owner is tougher than this guy. Of course, that's not saying much compared to an orange guy on steroids. Vesuvius stands Valdez up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when Valdez ducks it. Valdez then gives Vesuvius a knee to the back and an inverted DDT to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Vesuvius. Valdez has a few words for Steve Blake now and then stands Vesuvius up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a backdrop to the mat. Valdez follows that up with a falling head butt onto Vesuvius before he again tries for the pin. 1...2... V-Man manages to kick out. Valdez then stands Vesuvius up, whips him off the ropes and both men clothesline each other to the mat. Blake starts counting them both down. Ricky Simms - Malfunction at the junction there. On the four count, Vesuvius rolls towards Valdez and the two start trading punches, which ends the count. Vesuvius then struggles to his feet only to have Valdez pull them out from under him. Valdez then stands ready in the corner as Vesuvius struggles to get back to his feet. Valdez quickly flattens him back down to the mat with The Crowning Glory and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Tre Valdez wins in his debut match this week. Ricky Simms - Impressive DDT to wrap this one up, Valdez the winner! Henry Lesher - I guess so. Vesuvius weakens a little more in the eyes of everyone. The
camera catches Sarah Darling, an envelope in hand, standing outside
of Noah Skanes' office. She knocks on the door and drops her
envelope and gingerly bends over to pick it up. Noah opens the door
and finds Sarah bending over in front of him. Noah slyly checks out
Sarah from behind as she stands back up, her envelope in her hand. Sarah exits and we look backstage where Dragon is entering the building and the crowd cheers seeing him on the big screen. Ray Dees enters the picture Ray Dees - Dragon, tonight you face 6Pac in what could be an ugly battle. Dragon - Ray, I am going to send a message tonight to Simon that I am the AW Monarch and for good reason. His career failing isn't my doing, but I'll be glad to hand him another defeat this week when... The interview is broken up when Simon storms in and smashes Dragon over the back of the head with a chair and then he tosses the chair aside. Simon picks Dragon up and body slams him on a table in the hallway and then steps up onto it and gives him a heart punch from there, driving Dragon right through the table. Simon then gives Dragon a series of punches to the forehead, the AW Monarch now bleeding. Simon picks Dragon up over his shoulder and then runs him face first into the wall before dropping him to the floor again. He boot chokes Dragon and smiles. Simon - Next week, Dragon, you're going to be looking straight into the mouth of hell. Just like the rest of us, you'll wish you were never born! Simon then walks away from an out cold Dragon while medical personnel rush in to attend to him. Ricky Simms - Dear Lord, that was vicious and uncalled for. Henry Lesher - I think it was brilliant. Ricky Simms - Simon is a coward. Henry Lesher - But he's going to win. Tommy Purr vs. De'Anton Maybon "Creep" by Radiohead plays as De'Anton Maybon starts for the ring. He gets a loud chorus of boos from the crowd and, half way to the ring, he is attacked from behind by Tommy Purr. Tommy slams Maybon's head into the guard railing and then tosses him over it and into the front row of the crowd. Tommy then climbs over the railing, grabs a chair from a fan and clubs Maybon over the back with it. Tommy then slams Maybon's face into the railing again before dumping him at ringside. Ricky Simms - Purr wasting no time this week. Henry Lesher - And so he shouldn't. Maybon isn't in his league. Purr steps over the railing, then slams Maybon's head into the apron before rolling him into the ring. When Tommy then rolls himself into the ring, Casey Braun calls for the bell to get the match officially underway. Tommy stands Maybon up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him an arm drag from there and places him in an arm bar. Maybon quickly gets to his feet and reverses the arm bar before then giving him a series of knife edge chops that drive Tommy into the corner. We then see Parker Davis making his way towards ringside. Ricky Simms - Bad news just showed up. Henry Lesher - He kicked you around last week. Maybe he wants an encore. Parker stops at ringside and starts applauding Maybon as he gives Purr a punch to the throat and then follows that up with a head butt and then another, sending Purr into the corner. Maybon picks Tommy up and gives him a running power slam to the mat. He then goes for the pin. 1...2... Purr rolls a shoulder out in time. Maybon shakes his head and stands Purr up, then whips him off the ropes and Purr ducks a clothesline and then quickly applies an abdominal stretch on Maybon. Referee Casey Braun checks for a submission from Maybon. Maybon refuses to give up and tries to power his way out of the hold while Parker shouts insults at Tommy Purr. Tommy gives Parker a dirty look, but keeps his attention on Maybon. Maybon continues refusing to give up here and starts showing signs of working his way free of the hold. Purr releases Maybon and sets for a DDT, but Maybon shoulder blocks Purr into the nearest corner and then gives him a series of rights and lefts to the stomach before then giving him a snap mare to the mat. Maybon then places Purr in a sleeper hold while Parker tries in vain to get a chant started for Maybon. Ricky Simms - Maybon taking control here as Parker tries desperately to help his partner out here. Henry Lesher - He's playing cheerleader like you do for that Twinkie toting idiot. Referee Casey Braun checks for a submission from Tommy, but Purr refuses to give up and starts getting to his feet. Maybon releases the hold and then tosses Purr through the ropes and out to the floor. Casey Braun has a few words with Maybon while Parker finds the brass knuckles Simon had used earlier, discarded on the floor. He puts them on and then gives Purr a punch to the forehead with them before slamming his throat onto the guard railing. Parker then gives Purr another punch to the forehead with the brass knuckles before rolling Purr back into the ring. Maybon pulls Purr to him, then sets for and delivers the Uglification and then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! De'Anton Maybon gets an upset win over Tommy Purr! Ricky Simms - Well, that's a surprise. Henry Lesher - Purr underestimated them. People forget you don't fight one or the other, you fight both. Parker starts for the back only to be clothes lined to the floor by Cecil U.N. Tanner. Cecil then slides into the ring and starts brawling with Maybon while Krista wheels Dwayne Irving Carter Kingston towards the ring. Kingston is sat half way to the ring, a blank look on his face while Cecil clotheslines Maybon down, then takes off his belt and starts whipping him with it. Security then rushes into the ring and Cecil bids a hasty retreat. Krista also turns Kingston around and they starts for the backstage area. Ricky Simms - Is that a preview of next week for Maybon? Henry Lesher - He didn't have long to celebrate that win, did he? Backstage we see Simon in the dressing room with Xandra. He is getting ready to go home. Simon - Kitty looks like a lightweight, but she did well last week. Xandra - Pardon me? Simon - I just mean she put up a good fight. Xandra - I see how it is. Simon - What are you talking about? Xandra - Sometimes I wonder how much you love me/ Simon - You know how much I love you. Xandra - But when do you prove it? Simon - How would I prove it? Xandra - You didn't destroy her last week. You took it easy on her. I was almost ashamed to be your wife. Simon - *clearly getting mad* Don't talk like that. Xandra - There's time to make it up to me. Simon - *nods* Oh I can make it up to you. Anything for you.... Max Cameron vs. Scavenger "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays as Max Cameron makes his way towards the ring. He receives a loud, yet mixed reaction, from the crowd. He high fives a few fans at ringside wearing his T-shirt and then pulls himself onto the apron. He looks around at the crowd for a moment and then steps into the ring and leans back against the ropes in the corner while his music fades. We then hear "Herzeleid" by Rammstein and Scavenger comes out, carrying a chair and with wife Lauren in tow as he makes his way to the ring. Scavenger raises the chair high and points at Max as he reaches ringside, the crowd starting a chant for Scav. Ricky Simms - Scavenger is always popular in these parts, his legacy proceeding him. Henry Lesher - He's a jobber and a half. Ricky Simms - We want to congratulate Scavenger on the news he is set to become a father sometime around the new year. Henry Lesher - I weep for our species. Scavenger climbs onto the apron and then steps into the ring, Lauren taking the chair from her husband. The bell sounds and Scavenger locks up with Max Cameron. Scavenger backs Max into the corner and then gives him a hip toss to the mat. Scavenger then stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a spinning heel kick to the chest and then he heads to the ropes. Scavenger climbs to the top rope and then gives Max a clothesline from there and goes for the pin. 1...2... Max rolls a shoulder out. Scavenger stands Max up, whips him into the corner and then gives him a series of knee lifts before placing him in a headlock and then giving him a vertical suplex to the mat. Scavenger then gets to his feet and pulls Max to the middle of the ring where he applies a Boston Crab. Ricky Simms - Scavenger in control here. Henry Lesher - Yeah and he'll screw up. Max reaches for the ropes while referee Joe Davidson asks if he submits. Max refuses to give up here and starts walking on his elbows towards the ropes while Scavenger struggles to hold him in the center of the ring. Max starts pushing himself off from the mat and then lunges one last time, managing to grab the bottom rope and force the break. Scavenger then pulls Max to his feet, whips him off the ropes and Max ducks a clothesline and then gives Scavenger a quick DDT to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Scavenger. We then see Mordecai Darius making his way to the ring. He quickly makes his way towards Lauren and tells her he has to bless the child while she backs away. Max stands Scavenger up inside the ring. Scavenger gives Max a knee to the ribs and then a scoop slam to the mat. Scavenger then spots Darius and quickly pulls himself out of the ring, getting between the twisted reverend and his wife. Ricky Simms - What the hell is wrong with Darius? Henry Lesher - Apparently he wants to bless the unborn child, but Scavenger likes it being a heathen. Darius takes a step towards Lauren, trying to go around Scavenger. Scavenger gives him a vicious clothesline to the floor. Max Cameron then grabs Scavenger by the hair and pulls him up onto the apron and then into the ring. He gives Scavenger a DDT to the mat. He then stands Scavenger up and smiles before giving him the Contradiction to the mat. He goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Max Cameron gains the win this week. Ricky Simms - Heading into a fight with Diego Alvarez next week, Max seals the win thanks to Darius. Henry Lesher - Stop making excuses. Scavenger sucks. Lauren enters the ring to check on Scavenger. Max exits the ring with his arms raised and Darius slithers his way into the ring. He grabs Lauren by the hair and tells her this is not the way it was supposed to be, that he can bless this child properly. He then sets her for a DDT as the crowd explodes with boos. The booing stops when they see Tough Eagle racing into the ring with two large Native men in suits and Darius bids a hasty retreat through the crowd. Eagle checks on Lauren and then stands over Scavenger. Ricky Simms - Eagle makes the save and Lauren is the lucky one there. Henry Lesher - She married a loser and was saved by a casino owner. How lucky is that? We look backstage and find Diego Alvarez entering Noah Skanes office. Noah Skanes - Nice showing by Max this week, wasn't it? He almost won the match by himself. Diego Alvarez - Thing is, we are all wondering when we hear who faces Rated R next week at Backdraft. So far, it looks like he has the night off. Noah Skanes - Look, you get ready for your match with Max and I will deal with the main event. Diego Alvarez - My match with Max will be the main event. You'll see that in seven days and then I expect another title shot. Noah Skanes - You're in line for that, sure. Diego Alvarez - Look, kid, you have two choices. You will give me a shot after I beat Max or I will force you to. Noah Skanes - Look, I'm busy tonight. I have to find out what the hell Tommy Purr has in mind. Diego Alvarez - That's another wrestler not deserving top billing around here. Noah Skanes - Yeah, thanks for the info. Noah exits the office and Diego shakes his head. The
camera cuts to the parking lot, as we see Vesuvius exiting the arena
heading to his car. He opens the driver side door, and tosses his
bag on to the passenger seat, before sliding in. As he slips his key
in the ignition, a sudden movement from the backseat, catches his
eye. Though his reflexes are finely honed, they are not quick enough
to stop the wire of a garrote from encircling his throat and
constricting. Looking into the rearview mirror he sees a familiar
face. Moose vs. Parker Davis "I Feel Alright" by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers plays as Moose comes out to a huge ovation from the crowd. Moose is half way to the ring when Parker Davis attacks him from behind and clotheslines him face down to the floor. Parker then puts the boots to Moose and then knees him in the spine. Parker then stands Moose up and rolls him into the ring. Parker poses at ringside while the crowd starts a "Parker sucks" chant, one which he ignores completely. Ricky Simms - A legend in his own mind, Parker Davis. Henry Lesher - He's trashing the hardcore wrestler Moose into the ground here. This is great. Parker rolls himself into the ring and referee Francis Clarke calls for the bell to get things started between these two AW stars. Parker stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and Moose ducks a clothesline and then gives Parker a knee to the ribs followed by a cradle suplex into a pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Parker Davis. Moose stands Parker up, whips him off the ropes and dropkicks him down to the mat. Moose then rolls himself out of the ring to the floor and reaches under the apron, pulling out a table and starting to set it up there while the crowd cheers. Parker then rolls himself out of the ring and starts trading punches with Moose. Moose knees Parker in the ribs and then gives him another cradle suplex, this time sending him right through the table. Moose then stands Parker up and rolls him into the ring. Henry Lesher - Why wasn't that a disqualification? Ricky Simms - I don't know. That baffles me. Moose enters the ring and goes for the pin on Parker. 1...2... Parker gets a foot on the bottom rope and the match continues. Moose stands Parker up and then throws him through the ropes and out to the floor where he collides with the steel railing. Parker quickly gets to his feet and reaches under the apron as Moose exits the ring. Moose takes a kendo stick to the chest from Parker who then slams him across the forehead with it, sending Moose down to the floor. Parker then chokes Moose with the kendo stick while referee Francis Clarke counts both men out. Ricky Simms - The rules seem to be toast, but Clarke's making it clear they could still get counted out. Parker releases the choke and rolls Moose into the ring. Parker then rolls himself into the ring, still grasping the kendo stick. He gives Moose a shot across the back with the kendo stick and then another, the shots echoing to the rafters. Parker then kicks Moose right back out to the floor and then poses inside the ring with the kendo stick raised high above his head. He declares that he is the new king of hardcore in AW. Moose reaches under the apron and draws out a kendo stick of his own and looks quite ticked off as he rolls himself into the ring. He gets to his feet and blocks a shot from Parker with his own and then drills Parker across the forehead with the kendo stick he has before a clothesline with it that brings Parker down to the mat. Moose then climbs the ropes, kendo stick still in hand. He leaps off the top and Parker brings his stick up, catching Moose in the forehead at the same moment as Moose catches Parker in the forehead as well. Both men are out cold on the mat while the crowd cheers. Ricky Simms - They knocked each other out! Henry Lesher - I must admit they impressed me. Referee Francis Clarke quickly counts to ten and calls for the bell, this match ending in a rare double knock out. The bell sounds and the crowd cheers again, having seen some good hardcore violence on a Sunday night in L.A. Ricky Simms - Double knock out. Great match by these two superstars. Henry Lesher - Oh, now Parker's a superstar. We then see Noah Skanes on the big screen, a smile on his face. Noah Skanes - This is a message to the two out cold combatants tonight. I was impressed. I was really impressed. Your penchant for violence earns you two a shot of a lifetime. It will be a triple threat match for the AW title and it will be hardcore rules. Rated R will face both Moose and Parker Davis! Ricky Simms - Oh, I shudder at what that could mean. Henry Lesher - Parker's the next AW champion! We then head backstage where Kelly Buchanan is fixing her make up while admiring herself in the mirror. Chastity Stills enters the shot for an interview. Chastity Stills - Kelly, next week you face Hoshi. What do you have to say to her? Kelly Buchanan - Hoshi, you're going to suffer a lot more when you return. The beating you took a few weeks ago is nothing compared to what you get when you face me. Chastity Stills - If she were here right now, what else would you say? Kelly Buchanan - I would tell her she's the reason men turn and date each other. I would tell her she's the most overrated star in AW history or any company for that matter. I would tell her.... Kelly's tirade is interrupted when Hoshi attacks her and the brawl is on. The two divas fight in the locker room while Chastity backs off and smiles. Security then rushes in to break this up before someone gets seriously hurt. We then head back to the ring. Rated R vs. Gerard Angelo "Unretrofied" by Dillinger Escape Plan plays as Gerard Angelo makes his way towards the ring, the crowd giving him the usual chorus of boos, same as they did earlier tonight. In this case, Bombshell is walking him to the ring and she bows at ringside as Gerard makes his way up the steps onto the apron before then looking out with disdain at the crowd. Gerard climbs the ropes, stands on the top rope for a few moment looking around and then jumps down into the ring. His music fades from there and then we hear "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace and Rated R comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd. Henry Lesher - I don't really understand this. He isn't even nice to people and he's popular? Ricky Simms - He doesn't have to be nice. He just refuses to follow Team Anarchy and their wishes. Rated R stops at ringside and high fives one young fan wearing his T-shirt and then looks into the ring at Gerard and has a few words for him. Rated R pulls himself onto the apron and takes a clothesline from Gerard who knocks Ryan straight out to the floor. Gerard then steps out onto the apron and then lands a double axe handle smash across the back of Rated R before rolling him into the ring. Gerard enters the ring and the match has started with Steve Blake calling for the bell. Blake has a few words of warning for Angelo, but Gerard just pushes him aside as he stands the AW champ up. Gerard slams Rated R's head into the corner buckle and then gives him a fall away slam and quickly goes for the pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Rated R. Ricky Simms - Quick start here for Angelo. Henry Lesher - He has something to prove and no one who cares. Gerard stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and knees him in the gut, sending him somersaulting through the air before he lands on the mat, straight on his tail bone. Gerard then applies a full Nelson on Rated R and the crowd starts a chant for the champion. Rated R quickly shows signs of powering out of the move and then runs backward, squashing Gerard in the corner. Referee Steve Blake then forces the break and Rated R gives Gerard an elbow to the jaw for good measure. Rated R then turns around and gives Gerard a gut wrench suplex to the mat. He then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Gerard Angelo. Ricky Simms - Good back and forth match so far. Henry Lesher - I think most of the fans are heading for the exits. They don't care. Rated R stands Gerard Angelo up, whips him into the corner buckle and then runs straight into a clothesline from Rated R. Rated R then gives Gerard a leg drop across the throat and follows that up with a pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Gerard Angelo. Rated R then stands Gerard up, whips him off the ropes and dropkicks him to the mat while Bombshell jumps up onto the apron. Rated R spots her and turns his attention to her, telling her to get off of the apron. She slaps Rated R across the face and he nods once, a smile crossing his face while Gerard gets to his feet behind him. Gerard charges at Rated R, but Rated R steps aside and Gerard spears Bombshell right off of the apron and down to the floor. Rated R rolls Gerard into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2...3! Rated R grabs the win with unintentional assistance from Bombshell! Ricky Simms - That's classic! Rated R gets the win here this week leading into Backdraft! Henry Lesher - Parker's title reign starts in seven days. Mark that down. Ricky Simms - Whatever. We then look backstage and see Kosmic Kitty heading for the door, her ring announcing done for tonight when Simon heads her off. Kosmic Kitty - *clearly nervous* Hi, Simon, what is it? Simon - Last week, I forgot to deliver a message to you. Kosmic Kitty - What message? Simon clotheslines Kitty to the floor and then puts the boots to her. The camera pans across and we see Xandra cheering him on and smiling. She embraces him as the camera pans down to show Kitty, blood trailing from her forehead as the crowd explodes with boos. Scavenger charges in and Simon retreats at the sight of Kitty's brother. Scavenger looks at her. Scavenger - Medic! We need medics here now!! Tough Eagle strolls into the picture, the two Natives in suits flanking him. Tough Eagle - Simon's a coward, huh? Big mistake picking a fight with your sister. Scavenger - He thinks that shows his love for Xandra? Time for me to show my love for my family. I'll see him in two weeks, right after I deal with Mordecai.... The
camera opens up to the arena where Shannon & Noah
Skanes, Vesuvius, and Phil Castle are all in the ring. The ring is
set up for Tommy Time with black leather couches, a television
monitor, a glass coffee table, and a zebra-print rug. The entire
Anarchy Wrestling roster is also present all on various
sides of the ring. Team GWO/CWA is at the bottom of the ramp all
of the referees and interviewers are on the side of the ring facing
the cameras in the audience Team Anarchy is scattered
among the commentators tables, and the competitors with undefined
alliances are seen on the fourth side of the ring. Castle the
least-worried of the group is lounging on one of the
couches as Vesuvius talks to Simon and the Skanes talk to each
other. Suddenly, the roar of a wildcat is heard over the P.A. system
as Tommy Purrs new Anarchy Tron video begins to play along with
Saliva's Superstar. The crowd jumps to their feet with cheers as
violet and blue-colored lights begin! |
