August 12th, Marietta GA
The cameras show a black, two thousand seven Ford Mustang
Shelby GT Five Hundred as it pulls to a stop. White racing stripes run parallel
from the hood, over the roof, down the trunk, and over the spoiler while the
engine rumbles, sounding like the thunder of a summer storm in the distance. The
engine is cut just before both doors swing open, belching out a cloud of smoke
from either side, before Frank and Chilli show their faces. Frank smirks while
smoke trails out from his nostrils and Chilli is all smiles. A scowling Krayne
steps into the frame with his arms folded across his chest.
Chilli: What’s up, homie?
Krayne remains scowling while his eyes tick back and forth between Frank and
Chilli.
Chilli: C’mon, man! We were just cruising around town before we came here…
Krayne: You’re late….
Frank: The show hasn’t even started yet, man, so fucking chill…
Chilli: It’s all good, esse.
Krayne: It better be…
Krayne heads indoors while Chilli shrugs before following him inside with Frank
lumbering in behind them both. We then see the opening credits with images of
Tommy Purr, Moose, Rated R, Gerard Angelo, Krayne, 6Pac Dudley, Hoshi Yakamoto,
Elijah Ryan and Reyna Preciosa before we head to ringside where Henry Lesher and
Vigilante are waiting to call the action tonight.
Orlock vs. Rated R
The crowd has a mixed reaction as "All Hallow's Eve" by Type O Negative plays and Orlock is led towards the ring by Surgeon. Close behind is Kindred. Orlock doesn't show any outward response to Surgeon's words, but Surgeon continues to speak to him the entire way down the ramp. Orlock then tilts his head and stares at Surgeon, though there appears to be little conprehension behind those eyes. Orlock then pulls himself onto the apron and steps over the top rope into the ring where referee Francis Clarke is already back pedalling. Orlock's music fades away and then we hear "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace and Rated R comes out to the loudest boos of the night.
Vigilante - I wonder if he can feel the love tonight.
Henry Lesher - He doesn't give a damn. It's nice of AW, though, to set him up in the opening match of the night. He is the main event, not the opening match.
Rated R steps up onto the apron and ducks a clothesline from Orlock and then grabs him around the neck and slingshots it off the top rope, sending the big man reeling backwards. Rated R then climbs to the top rope and lands a clothesline on the big man from there as the referee calls for the bell to get the match officially started. Rated R then rains punches down on Orlock while the crowd boos. Rated R then stands Orlock up, whips him off the ropes and tries for a shoulder block only to take one from Orlock that quickly sends him down to the mat. Orlock then knee drops Rated R across the chest twice and then goes for the pin. 1...2... Rated R kicks out. We then see Shengee Shmelky running down towards the ring.
Vigilante - What is he doing here?
Henry Lesher - Ruining my night? That's what Shmelk usually does.
Shengee reaches ringside and starts arguing with Surgeon. Orlock takes notice of this and makes his way to the ropes. He holds the top rope, but says nothing as Shengee argues with Surgeon at ringside. Rated R slowly gets to his feet behind Orlock. He sees Shengee at ringside and shakes his head, then spits on the mat. Rated R then shrugs and rolls Orlock into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2...3! Rated R, with a little luck and a handful of tights, gains the win over Orlock this week.
Vigilante - Ouch.
Henry Lesher - See that? That's what was going to stop my BasketKase? No, it never was. It's a joke in that ring and that's why the match didn't happen at Sunstroke.
Rated R exits the ring while Shengee and Surgeon get into a shoving match at ringside and a confused Kindred rolls himself into the ring to check on his partner. We then look backstage and see Black Lightning pacing while FUBAR leans on the locker.
FUBAR - You're worried over nothing.
Black Lightning - I will stop worrying when he shows.
FUBAR - He'll show.
Black Lightning - Yeah, so you say.
There is a knock at the door off screem. Black Lightning turns and smiles.
Black Lightning - You're here. The darkness grows.
We head back to the ring.
Hoshi Yakamoto vs. Elijah Ryan
"30 30 150" by Stone Sour plays as Elijah Ryan starts making his way towards the ring. The crowd gives him a rather warm response considering his lack of time inside an AW ring. He high fives a few fans at ringside and then jumps onto the apron and steps through the ropes into the ring. Elijah then talks a little with referee Casey Braun while his music fades. We then hear "Surfing With the Alien" by Joe Satriani and Hoshi Yakamoto starts to make her way towards the ring. She gets a loud ovation from the crowd and races down the ramp and slides into the ring while Bart hurries to ringside to keep an eye on her. Hoshi and Elijah start trading rights and lefts while the referee calls for the bell to get the action officially underway in this one.
Vigilante - Hoshi's in a hurry tonight.
Henry Lesher - She wants to get the loss out of the way before happy hour is over.
Hoshi whips Elijah into the corner buckle and then gives him a head scissors down to the mat from there. Hoshi then applies a sleeper hold on Elijah Ryan who is still trying to catch up with things here. Bart Phillips encourages a chant for Hoshi from ringside. Ryan fights his way back to his feet despite the sleeper and gives Hoshi a series of elbow smashes to the gut and then gives her a side suplex to the mat. Elijah Ryan then stands her up, whips her into the corner buckle and then gives her a backdrop to the mat from there. Elijah then climbs the ropes in the corner and then dives off for a leg drop only to find no one home as Hoshi rolls out of the way.
Vigilante - Elijah was a little quick in going for that move.
Henry Lesher - Well, I hear she lays down pretty quick.
Hoshi kips up to her feet. Elijah also kips up to his feet. Hoshi tries for a kick on Elijah, but he catches it and smiles. She then leaps and kicks him in the head with her other leg, sending him down to the mat. Hoshi then quickly gets to her feet and knees Elijah in the chest and then goes for the pin. 1...2... Elijah Ryan kicks out. Hoshi stands Elijah up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a dropkick in the corner for good measure. Hoshi then gives Elijah a monkey flip to the center of the ring, but he manages to land on his feet and then gives her a reverse neck breaker before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi and Elijah has a few words with the referee about the speed of the count. Casey Braun shrugs and tells Elijah that it was a two count.
Vigilante - He thinks Casey is counting slow.
Henry Lesher - I am just shocked that girl can count to three.
Elijah stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and then gives Elijah a back slide into a pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Elijah Ryan. Hoshi quickly gets to her feet, stands Elijah up and whips him off the ropes and then gives him a spinning heel kick back to the mat. She then lands a split legged moonsault onto Ryan and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Hoshi gets the win.
Vigilante - In a very fast paced match, Hoshi pulls off the win!
Henry Lesher - Like anyone cares.
Hoshi exits the ring and heads for the back with Bart Phillips, the two of them arm in arm. We then see Tommy Purr backstage with Crystal Braun.
Crystal Braun - Tommy, last week you retained the title, but Rated R injured you.
Tommy Purr - Yeah, and I am trying something only seen in sports. I am not telling anyone the nature of the injury. I can tell you this. I will be back next week.
Crystal Braun - Aren't you concerned with Rated R targeting you?
Tommy Purr - Look, if I was going to worry about that, I should hand my title away. Bring it on, Ryan.
Crystal Braun - You held your title and won the famed Summer Sanitarium. To what do you attribute your success?
Tommy Purr - Myself. See, I am the best. If anyone wants to prove otherwise, they know where to find me.
Tommy then walks off and Crystal heads the opposite way while we see that Rated R has been listening in the background.
Krayne vs. Jack Spade
"Vinegar Stroke" by Sunk Loto plays as Chilli Stokes and Frank Merritt lead Krayne towards the ring. Krayne hears the boos of the crowd, but has little reaction to them. He does have a few foul words for one fan at ringside, but nothing more than that. He then pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Krayne then waits inside the ring as his music fades and we hear "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne and see Jack Spade coming out to s decent ovation from the crowd. Jack runs to ringside and comes up face to face with Frank and Chilli. He thinks better of facing them and jumps onto the apron where Krayne greets him with a thumb to the eye and then gouges his eyes along the top rope before pulling him into the ring. Referee Joe Davidson then calls for the bell.
Vigilante - Krayne gets the fast start here thanks to ringside distraction. That really is a double edged sword.
Henry Lesher - Yeah, but it's worth it.
Krayne whips Jack Spade into the corner and then gives him a series of shoulder blocks there before whipping him to the opposite corner. He charges in shoulder first again, but finds no one home this time as Jack steps out of the way. Jack then picks Krayne up and gives him a shoulder breaker in the middle of the ring. Jack then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Krayne. Jack stands Krayne up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Krayne is helped to his feet by Frank Merritt. Jack Spade then leaps over the top rope and gives both of them a flying body press into the guard railing while the crowd cheers. Jack then stands Krayne up, whips him shoulder first into the ring steps and then rolls him into the ring before rolling himself into the ring.
Vigilante - That's the double edge right there.
Henry Lesher - Frank will kill Jack Spade when he gets up.
Jack stands Krayne up, whips him off the ropes and then dropkicks him down to the mat. Frank Merritt gets to his feet on the floor and looks as unimpressed as Lesher figured he would. Jack Spade stands Krayne up while Frank jumps onto the apron. Jack whips Krayne into a collision with Frank and then gives him a kick to the back before spinning him around and giving him a DDT to the mat. Jack then jumps to the top rope and lands a 450 splash on the fallen Krayne while an even more unimpressed Frank jumps onto the apron. 1...2...3! Jack Spade scores an upset here this week over Krayne.
Vigilante - Looks like Krayne lost playing things your way.
Henry Lesher - Your way made you an announcer.
Jack rolls himself out of the ring and heads for the back while Frank and Chilli argue over what just happened. Inside the ring, Krayne is slow to move and the referee is checking on him as he might be injured here. We then look backstage where Noah Skanes is heading to the parking lot. He heads out the door and finds EMTs attending to a bloodied and out cold Vesuvius.
Noah Skanes - Dammit...
Shannon Skanes - *as he enters the picture* Looks like Halloween is coming early this year.
Noah Skanes - I don't need this.
Shannon Skanes - No, you don't You already have one Rated R in this company. You can't afford to have another running around and doing this to people.
They walk back into the building while the camera focusses on the unconscious Vesuvius for a moment before we return to the ring.
Moose vs. Trey Walker
"My Way" by Limp Bizkit plays as Trey Walker comes out to make his debut, and the crowd has a very positive reaction to him. He is cheered as he makes his way down the ramp and he high fives a few of the ringside fans before he rolls himself into the ring. He then jumps to his feet and waits while his music fades. We then hear "I Feel Alright" by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers and a loud ovation goes out to The Moose as he makes his way towards the ring. He stops at ringside where Chilli and Frank Merritt are still arguing. He shoves his way past them and then makes his way up the ring steps and steps through the ropes into the ring while Trey smiles and nods inside the ring. Frank has a few words for Trey about his apparent laughter at the former Flock Monster's expense.
Vigilante - Trey not making friends tonight.
Henry Lesher - I love that. Moose shoves past Frank and Frank gets choked at the newbie for laughing about it. That makes him my hero all over again.
Moose steps through the ropes into the ring and the bell sounds to start the match while Frank continues to curse at ringside and now pulls up a chair at ringside instead of heading to the back with Chilli who has run out of patience and has to check on Krayne. Inside the ring, Moose and Trey lock up and Trey quickly shoves Moose into the nearest corner. Moose comes out and lands a knife edge chop on Trey. Trey answers with a knife edge chop on Moose. Moose head butts Trey. Trey head butts Moose. Moose knees Trey in the ribs and then gives him a tilt a whirl suplex to the mat and then lands a leg drop across the throat on the newcomer. Moose then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Trey Walker. Moose stands Trey up, whips him off the ropes and dropkicks him down to the mat. Moose then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. He leaps off for a flying elbow smash, but Trey rolls out of the way and then quickly gets to his feet and starts putting the boots to Moose.
Vigilante - Good ring sense by Trey so far. He's not embarrassing himself out there.
Henry Lesher - In your feeble opinion. I tend to form my own.
Trey stands Moose up, whips him off the ropes and backdrops him to the mat and then gives him a knee to the chest and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Moose. Trey shakes his head and stands Moose up, whips him into the corner and charges in for a shoulder block. Moose instead ducks under him and backdrops him over the ropes and out to the floor. Moose appears to get caught in the eye with something on the way over, perhaps Trey's finger. As referee Mark Davis checks on Moose, Frank gets up off his chair , picks it up and drills Trey across the back with it and then rolls him into the ring. Moose, completely unaware of what just happened, picks Trey up and delivers a Moose Driver with one eye still shut. He then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Moose with a Frank aided win!
Vigilante - That's odd. Frank cost Krayne his match, but he helped Moose win.
Henry Lesher - Oh, like that was intentional...
As Moose leaves the ring, we see Halloween Jack stepping out onto the stage applauding with a microphone in hand.
Halloween Jack - Moose, Moose, Moose! Come on fans, cheer Moose on! He's the CWA champ! He's the Alpha male! Oh he is so grand, isn't he? See, Moose, I remember things. I remember watching you win every damned title you set your eyes on for years now. You know what, Moose? That time is over. Soon, you're going to meet up with Jack. When you do, that belt over your shoulder will be coming to me. You got that? I am sick of playing second fiddle and being stuck facing nobodies. I am coming after you and your title belt. I'm just letting you know to watch your back, champ. Ask Vesuvius. He'll tell you. *smiles* It's always time for a trick or treat. My trick will be my treat, Moose. My trick will take your title.
Jack throws a smoke bomb and, when the smoke clears, he is gone.
Henry Lesher - Is he the Green Goblin or something?
Vigilante - That would explain a lot...
Backstage we see Rated R heading for the door when he is headed off by Noah Skanes.
Rated R - Isn't it your bedtime?
Noah Skanes - Look, Ryan, I am sick of the crap you've been pulling around here.
Rated R - So?
Noah Skanes - The next time you wear a BLPW T-shirt into an AW arena or you toss out Epic programs or Epic T-shirts to the crowd, you're fired.
Rated R - BLPW wouldn't treat me this way, you know.
Noah Skanes - Look, Ryan, I am serious. I am sick of this little game of yours and I am putting a stop to it right here and now. You have been warned.
Rated R - I hear your parents are renewing their vows. I am looking forward to seeing that.
Noah Skanes - You're not invited.
Rated R - I will be, Mister Skanes Junior.
Noah Skanes - Never, not after everything you have done to my family. Look, I have had enough. Play any more of these little games and you're fired.
Noah storms off. Rated R smiles.
Rated R - Kid, I haven't even started playing games. When I do, I will destroy your world.
He then exits the building laughing to himself.
6Pac Dudley vs. Reyna Preciosa
"The Beat of my Heart" by Hilary Duff plays as Reyna Preciosa comes out to a decent pop from the crowd. The new AW Monarch high fives fans on her way down the ramp, a little overwhelmed with the attention she has garnered so early in her AW career. She stops at ringside and looks around for a moment before she pulls herself onto the apron. She then leaps over the top rope into the ring and talks to referee Steve Blake while her music fades away. We then hear "Southtown" by POD and 6Pac Dudley starts making his way towards the ring as Dex Cooper follows close behind, carrying a Canadian flag over his shoulder.
Vigilante - Two popular wrestlers in this one, both on the upswing.
Henry Lesher - 6Pac is on an upswing? Did the other half of the roster quit, too?
6Pac steps up onto the apron and then steps through the ropes. The bell sounds and Reyna moves in for a lock up with 6Pac. 6Pac instead gives her an arm drag to the mat, then an arm drag the other way. 6Pac then stands Reyna up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a backdrop to the mat. 6Pac follows that up with a leg drop across the throat and goes for the early pin. 1...2... kick out by Reyna Preciosa. 6Pac stands Reyna up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and gives 6Pac a reverse neck breaker to the mat. Reyna then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by 6Pac. Reyna stands 6Pac up, whips him into the corner and then ducks her head to backdrop him, but he knee lifts her in the face and then gives her a Rock Bottom to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Reyna gets a foot on the bottom rope. 6Pac shakes his head as he stands her up, whips her to the opposite corner and then gives her a dropkick in the corner buckle. 6Pac then picks Reyna up and gives her a power slam to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Reyna who again manages to stay in this match.
Vigilante - Both wrestlers showing a lot of fight in this one.
Henry Lesher - And a total inability to finish off an opponent.
6Pac stands Reyna up, whips her off the ropes and they clothesline each other to the mat. The referee starts to count them both down while the crowd appears to be torn on which wrestler they are cheering for here. On the four count, 6Pac kips up to his feet. On the five count, Reyna does the same which brings cheers from the crowd. 6Pac takes a swing at Reyna and misses. Reyna cinches in and goes for a German suplex on 6Pac, but he manages to gives her a series of elbows to the ribs. He then brings his head back and hits her chin with the back of his head and she lets go of him. 6Pac then turns and clotheslines her to the mat and then leaps to the top rope. He goes for a leg drop from there, but Reyna moves out of the way and then rolls 6Pac into a small package. 1...2...3! 6Pac kicks out a moment too late and Reyna is the winner! She rolls herself out of the ring and looks stunned that she won this match. She quickly heads to the back while 6Pac looks stunned at the loss he just took. 6Pac gets to his feet and has a few words for the referee and doesn't see FUBAR charging into the ring. FUBAR almost decapitates 6Pac with a clothesline to the mat. As 6Pac rolls out of the ring, Dex Cooper enters the ring and catches FUBAR across the skull with the flagpole. Dex then tosses the flag aside and starts landing rights and lefts to the head on FUBAR, driving him into the corner buckle.
Tag Team Challenge
Black Lightning charges into the ring and cuts the legs out from under Dex Cooper. Black Lightning then starts choking Dex before he has a chance to recover his senses. We then see Rex Cooper quickly making his way down the ramp towards the ring. Rex rolls himself into the ring and pulls Black Lightning off of Dex. He picks Black Lightning up and choke slams him to the mat.
Vigilante - Looks like no one is waiting to get the tag match started here. The winning team will get tag team title shots at Outrage September 2nd.
Henry Lesher - No one in the wrestling world cares about tag team titles anymore.
Rex stands Black Lightning up and looks set to choke slam him again when Takashi and Miki slide into the ring. Takashi cuts the legs out from under Rex the same as Black Lightning had done to Dex moments ago. Miki finds herself on the wrong end of a spear from FUBAR while the referees, Cordelia and Lydia Parizi, try to figure out what to do. They call for the bell as they enter the ring.
Vigilante - These girls apparently threw out a challenge for tag teams and they meant it as referees?
Henry Lesher - Who knows? They're connected. They can pretty much do whatever they want.
FUBAR stands Miki up, whips her into the corner and misses with a shoulder tackle as she steps out of the way. From the floor, 6Pac lands a right hook cheap shot on FUBAR. Inside the ring, Takashi and Rex exchange rights and lefts in a battle of the strongest in this match. Black Lightning stands Dex Cooper up, whips him off the ropes and ducks his head for a backdrop. Dex kicks Lightning in the face and then gives him an inverted atomic drop. He then gives him another inverted atomic drop. Dex then gives Black Lightning an ear ringer before giving him a headbutt that sends him out to the floor. Dex then drops and heads out to the floor. FUBAR turns and takes a series of jabs from Miki and then tosses her through the ropes and to the floor with no prior warning. Miki crashes into the guard railing and appears to injure her shoulder. Takashi tosses Rex Cooper over the top rope and out to the floor. He then turns and finds he and FUBAR and Dex are now the only wrestlers inside the ring.
Vigilante - This has been intense action so far. Someone cares about the tag titles.
Henry Lesher - No, see these are three teams no one cares about. They don't count.
FUBAR opts to dropkick the knees of Dex and then gets to his feet in time to take a spear from Takashi who goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by FUBAR. Takashi then stands FUBAR up, whips him off the ropes and 6Pac brings the top rope down. FUBAR falls right over the top rope and out to the floor while the crowd cheers. Takashi then stands Dex up, whips him off the ropes and misses with a clothesline as Dex ducks it and then gives Takashi a series of knee lifts to the gut and then tags in Rex who has reached their corner. Dex and Rex whip Takashi off and gives him a double spine buster to the mat. Rex goes for the pin. 1...2... Takashi rolls a shoulder out in time.
Vigilante - I thought they had him there.
Henry Lesher - That really shows what you know.
Rex stands Takashi up, whips him off the ropes and shoulder blocks him. Takashi stumbles backwards, but does not fall. FUBAR, however, reaches into the ring and pulls the feet out from under Takashi. FUBAR then rolls himself into the ring and does a shoulder roll to his corner where he tags in Black Lightning. Black Lightning rushes in and lands a series of knife edge chops on Rex Cooper, backing him into the only neutral corner in this match. Black Lightning then gives Rex a face buster to the mat and then rolls him over for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rex Cooper. Black Lightning slaps the mat and stands Rex up, whips him off the ropes and ducks his head for a backdrop. Rex instead gives Black Lightning an upper cut and then gives him a choke slam to the mat and tags in Dex. Takashi is to his feet now and greets Dex with a knee to the ribs and then a knee to the face. Takashi then whips Dex off the ropes and Dex ducks a clothesline and then gives Takashi a shoulder block. Takashi still stands up to it and drops back, tagging in Miki. Dex smiles when he sees Miki coming into the ring. He grabs her around the throat, sets for a choke slam and find Black Lightning is on his feet now. He knees Black Lightning in the ribs, knees Miki in the ribs as well and sets for a double choke slam. FUBAR scales the ropes quickly and lands a dropkick to the chest on Dex. It loosens his grip on Lightning and Miki, but doesn't break it until an arm reaches into the ring and pulls the feet out from under him. It's Puppet Master.
Vigilante - Where the hell did he come from?
Henry Lesher - How should I know? I don't care, remember?
Miki tags in Takashi. Takashi enters the ring while 6Pac slides into the ring and starts brawling with Black Lightning while Rex and FUBAR go at it, Dex now getting a beating from Puppet Master on the floor. Takashi slams 6Pac and Black Lightning's heads together and then gives Black Lightning a power slam. Takashi then splashes the fallen Lightning while everyone else continues brawling and hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Takashi wins as the Parizi sisters have agreed that rules do not apply to this match. Lydia raises Takashi's hand and then quickly leaves with Cordelia while security rushes out to break up MSK and Total Darkness.
Vigilante - The two Yakamotos are getting title shots!
Henry Lesher - I told you I didn't care. What part of that did you not understand?
Vigilante - That brings to a close tonight's show. Tune in next week for more action!
Henry Lesher - Our shows are usually better than this. Not by much, but they are usually better.
We fade to black on security trying to break things up on
the floor.
