July 13, 2008 Instead of the usual opening for tonight's show, we start with Max Cameron inside the ring, a microphone in hand. He paces and then the house lights dim and a spotlight shines down on Max Cameron. Max Cameron - So here we are again, Max Cameron played like a chump! Here we are with Max Cameron being the man who can't quite get over the top. You know what? That stops here and now. I couldn't help noticing that Frank is not at ringside to call the action tonight. When I saw that, I figured that he would have another attack planned, so I am beating him to it. Frank, you low-life, you coward, get out here and face me like a man! I want a match with you inside this ring right now. I want to show the whole world that you're the lesser man between the two of us. I have wanted you inside this ring for months. Let's go Merritt! He lowers the microphone and we wait while the crowd cheers, anticipating an answer from Frank. Instead, we hear "Somebody Told Me" by The Killers and Wyatt Gibson steps out onto the stage instead. The crowd gives him a mixed reaction. Ricky Simms - What's he doing here? Henry Lesher - Maybe he was last week's secret who didn't show up? Wyatt Gibson - Max, Max, Max, I have to tell you, you're a promoter's dream. You get absolutely destroyed last week by Frank and Destiny and here you are. Here you are begging for more. Max Cameron - I don't see where that's any of your business. Wyatt Gibson - I am getting to that. You see, last week Hector Braun stepped down to become an advisor to Anarchy Inc. and that meant I got a phone call. I was supposed to be here before the end of the show, but I am here now. I am the new General Manager of the men's division of the CWA. Shannon, in his infinite wisdom, named myself and a lovely young woman to run the show. I run the male side and she runs the female. Now, it would seem to me that you and Frank have quite the history going. Max Cameron - You're wasting my time, Gibson. Wyatt Gibson - Let me finish. You and Frank snipe at each other, invade each other's families and then you get Frank suspended for cursing on live TV. Last week, he attacks you and Destiny turns against you in a twist a blind man could have seen coming. I guess you'll never be seen as a smart man, but damn you are resilient. Next week is Sunstroke and it's time to see just how resilient you really are. You and Frank meet next week inside a Hell in the Cell! Max actually smiles while the crowd cheers. Max Cameron - Oh, I am ready for that. I'll cripple him. What about Destiny? I don't want that bitch involved in this match. I don't want her anywhere near me. Wyatt Gibson - *pauses and then smiles as well* That's fine, Max. Destiny will be suspended inside a mini cage above the ring. She will be locked in and won't be allowed out until the final bell has rung. You man enough? Max Cameron - Next week, I end Frank Merritt's wrestling career. He will wish he was never born. Max throws the microphone down and we finally get to the opening credits with images of Max Cameron, Eli Ryder, Bombshell, Hoshi Yakamoto, 6Pac Dudley, Jack Spade, Myst, and Tommy Purr while "Evolution" by Korn plays before we head to ringside where Ricky Simms and Henry Lesher are all set to call the action. Myst vs. Kelly Buchanan "Gimme More" by Michanae Supremacy plays as Kelly Buchanan comes out onto the stage, a smile on her face and she winks at the camera as she then jogs down to ringside. She then jumps onto the apron and winks at the crowd before she climbs through the ropes into the ring. Kelly then leans back against the ropes while her music fades and then we hear "A Place For My Head" by Linkin Park and Myst comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd. She then runs down the ramp and slides under the bottom rope into the ring where referee Casey Braun then calls for the bell to officially start the match. Ricky Simms - Big diva match here. Henry Lesher - I miss Frank already. This match sucks. Myst and Kelly lock up. Myst then backs Kelly into the ropes and then whips her off the ropes before giving her a dropkick that sends her back down to the mat. Myst then gives Kelly a knee drop to the forehead and goes for the quick pin. 1...2... kick out by Kelly Buchanan. Myst stands Kelly up, whips her into the corner buckle and then gives her a series of kicks to the ribs before she gives her a snap mare to the mat and then she applies an abdominal stretch on her. Referee Casey Braun asks Kelly if she submits, but she refuses. Kelly shows signs of powering out of the hold instead of weakening, so Myst lets her go, gives her a kick to the gut and then gives her a gut wrench suplex to the mat and then lands a leg drop across the throat on her before again going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kelly and Myst has a few unkind words for referee Casey Braun. Ricky Simms - Myst is not happy with the speed of the count. Henry Lesher - I am not happy that this match is on at all when Frank should be out here. Myst stands Kelly up and takes a jawbreaker from Kelly who then pulls the feet out from under Myst, rolls her over and places her in a Boston Crab. Myst reaches for the ropes in an effort to force the break and refuses to submit when she is asked by the referee. The referee asks again and Myst spits in Casey's face. Myst then lunges a final time and manages to grab the bottom rope to force the break. Myst then rolls herself out of the ring to the floor for a breather. Kelly heads out after her. Kelly places Myst in a headlock, but Myst shoves her shoulder first into the steel corner post. Myst then gives Kelly a German suplex to the floor before standing her up and rolling her into the ring. Myst then rolls herself into the ring and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kelly Buchanan and again Myst has a few words with the referee. Ricky Simms - Myst is dominating at this point. Henry Lesher - Lesher is not caring at this point. Myst again stands Kelly up, whips her off the ropes and Kelly ducks a clothesline and then gives Myst a knee to the gut and then gives her a snap suplex to the mat. We then see Vesuvius coming out onto the stage, the crowd booing him loudly. He makes his way down the ramp while Kelly then sees him and alerts the referee to his presence. This allows Myst to get to her feet and she gives Kelly a thumb to the eye and then places her in a headlock and gives her a DDT to the mat while the referee sends Vesuvius back up the ramp. Myst goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Myst gets the win over Kelly and she rolls herself out to the floor. Ricky Simms - Great win for Myst. Henry Lesher - Whatever, she always beats Kelly. As Myst starts making her way up the ramp, Vesuvius rushes past her and enters the ring. He then starts putting the boots to Kelly Buchanan with an evil grin on his face. Myst turns back, sees what is happening and shrugs, then she continued walking while the crowd now starts booing her as well. Myst then stops at the top of the ramp and then knocks the cameraman down and yanks the camera out of his hands. She then runs down the ramp, slides under the bottom rope into the ring and then taps Vesuvius on the shoulder before slamming the camera into his face. She then slams it into his face four more times before she drops and rolls herself out of the ring to the floor. Vesuvius' nose is bleeding and appears to be broken while he falls to his knees inside the ring. Ricky Simms - I didn't see that coming. Henry Lesher - Blood is good. Lots of blood would be better. As Myst then resumes her walk towards the backstage area, we look there to see Wyatt Gibson with Shannon Skanes. Wyatt is shaking his head. Wyatt Gibson - I don't like this at all. Shannon Skanes - Look, it's something new. Everyone has seen the same title fights over and over. Wyatt Gibson - You don't put two top titles in one match. Shannon Skanes - We do now. Kira teams with Eli against Tommy and Bombshell to see who can get the titles first. Both titles are suspended above the ring in a ladder match. Wyatt Gibson - Well, I still say you have the ladder match with Eli against Tommy and then Bombshell and Kira do the bra and panty thing which delights the fans. Shannon Skanes - No, there's been too much of that crap. Shannon then turns around and the camera pulls back to reveal Bombshell standing there. Shannon Skanes - Yes? Bombshell - Oh, nothing, I wanted to let you know you're doing a great job. Wyatt Gibson - You mean we are right? Bombshell - Wyatt, you have been on the job for five minutes and you're trying to stuff me in a fluff match. That comment was meant for the boss only. Shannon Skanes - Thanks. Bombshell - No problem. Bombshell then kisses Shannon on the cheek and moves on. Wyatt gives Shannon a terrified look. Shannon Skanes - What? Wyatt Gibson - If Myst sees a replay of that, you'll be taking the next camera to the face. Shannon Skanes - You worry too much. Wyatt Gibson - You worry too little. Kira Yakamoto/Eli Ryder vs. Tommy Purr/Bombshell "Name of the Game" by Crystal Method plays as Eli Ryder and Kira Yakamoto step out onto the stage. They then make their way, arm in arm, down the ramp towards the ring. Kira then makes her way up the ring steps while Eli uses the ropes to pull himself onto the apron. He then holds the ropes open for Kira and she steps into the ring before he does and then they high five one another while their music fades and then we hear "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry and Tommy Purr comes out with Bombshell, both of them holding their respective titles high above their heads. They then make their way down the ramp and hand their titles to the timekeeper before they pull themselves onto the apron and then step through the ropes into the ring. Ricky Simms - Between Tommy and Bombshell, the only belt they don't have a stake in is the Aerial title. Henry Lesher - That title is in a wasteland. Bombshell and Kira opt to start the match and referee Steve Blake calls for the bell as Tommy and Eli leave the ring. Kira and Bombshell lock up. Kira backs Bombshell into the ropes and then backs off for a clean break. They then lock up again and this time Bombshell backs Kira up to the ropes. Bombshell backs off for a clean break, but she then eye gouges Kira and then rakes her eyes along the top rope. Bombshell then whips Kira into the corner buckle and then gives her a monkey flip back to the middle of the ring where Kira lands on her feet. She then catches Bombshell with a standing dropkick to the mat that sends Bombshell falling through the ropes and out to the floor. Ricky Simms - Good start to this one. Henry Lesher - Tommy is just standing there. Get Tommy in the ring. Kira rolls out to the floor and starts exchanging knife edge chops with Bombshell. Kira then knees Bombshell in the gut and then gives her a clothesline to the floor. Kira then stands Bombshell up and rolls her into the ring before rolling herself into the ring. Bombshell rolls to her corner and tags in Tommy. Kira then goes to her corner and tags in Eli. They stand inside the ring for a few moments glaring at one another and then they move in for the lock up. Eli shoves Tommy to the ropes and then gives him a kick to the ribs followed by a headlock into a bulldog to the mat before he tries for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy. Ricky Simms - Eli is wasting no time in going for the win here. Henry Lesher - He doesn't have a prayer. He really doesn't. Tommy is too much man for the CWA. Ricky Simms - Give me a break. Eli stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and both men clothesline one another to the mat. Referee Steve Blake starts counting them both down. On the five count, Eli grabs the bottom rope and starts getting to his feet. Tommy then kips up to his feet only to take a kick to the jaw from Eli that sends him right back down to the mat. Eli then goes for an elbow smash on Tommy, but Tommy manages to roll out of the way and then quickly gets to his feet. Tommy then gives Eli a series of rights and lefts to the side of the head before giving him a clothesline to the mat. Tommy then picks Eli up and gives him a power slam to the mat where he tries for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eli Ryder. Tommy then stands Eli up and whips him through the ropes and out to the floor. Ricky Simms - You have to think that both teams will be looking to send a message in this one, considering they will meet again next week with gold on the line. Henry Lesher - Tommy will send the message that he rules two weeks in a row then. Tommy leaves the ring and starts to battle Eli on the floor. Tommy slams Eli's face into the guard railing and then whips him shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Tommy then picks Eli up and runs him face first into the steel corner post. Tommy then rolls Eli into the ring and he smiles for the camera before he rolls himself back into the ring as well. Tommy then goes for a lazy pin on Eli, laying across his chest. 1...2... Eli reverses it into a school boy for the pin. 1...2...3! Eli scores the pin and bragging rights heading into Sunstroke! Ricky Simms - Huge win here for Eli and Kira this week. Henry Lesher - How much did they pay for that win? The referee got paid off! Tommy's shoulders weren't even down! Eli rolls himself out to the floor where he is greeted with a hug from Kira and they make their way up the ramp while Tommy gets to his feet inside the ring, clearly unimpressed with tonight's result while Bombshell stands on the apron shaking her head. Ricky Simms - Next week, Bombshell and Tommy have their chance to even the score. Will they do it? Henry Lesher - Clearly, they will. Tommy let them win. That's all. Ricky Simms - Sure he did, Doc. See you next week, fans! We fade to black as we watch Eli and Kira celebrate their victory on the stage. |
