November 6th, 2007

It's a sold out crowd waiting for the latest edition of the CWA's Overdrive, tonight emanating from Halifax, Nova Scotia. The east coast crowd is shown on camera for a few moments before we go to the opening credits, "Coming Undone" by Korn playing as we see images of Tommy Purr, Max Cameron, Sal Clemenzo, Rated R, Hoshi Yakamoto, Jack Spade and Wren SilverPhoenix before we head to ringside where Ricky Simms and Henry Lesher are once again set to call the action tonight.

Ricky Simms - Welcome to what should be another great show as the CWA continues its comeback!

Henry Lesher - You lie. Every week that Rated R is not champion equals death for me. There is no Sal, and only a chance Tommy Purr would lower himself to working for this company. I am losing faith daily.

Ricky Simms - I apologize for the drama queen to my right.

Henry Lesher - Pardon me?

Kira Yakamoto vs. Jack Spade

"Misery Business" by Paramore plays as Kira Yakamoto to an ovation of boos. She pays the fans no mind as she makes her way towards the ring and she winks towards the camera before she pulls herself onto the ring steps and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Kira then tests the ropes while her music fades and then we hear "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne and Jack Spade makes his way onto the stage. He receives a loud cheer from the capacity crowd and then runs down the ramp and slides under the bottom rope into the ring. He then jumps to his feet while referee Mark Davis calls for the bell and the action is underway. Kira goes for the early attack with a series of knife edge chops that drive Jack into the corner and then she gives him a monkey flip to the middle of the ring. Kira then goes to the ropes and jumps to the top. Jack stands, turns and then catches Kira in mid-air and then gives her a power slam to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira Yakamoto.

Ricky Simms - The fans were hoping for an early pin there to the less popular Yakamoto.

Henry Lesher - Oh, who cares? No Rated R equals no one cares.

Jack stands Kira up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a backdrop to the mat. He then goes for a leg drop only to miss it when Kira rolls out of the way. She then leaps to her feet and then she gives Jack Spade a round house kick that sends him backwards and then he falls through the ropes and out to the floor. Kira then rolls herself out to the floor as Jack gets to his feet. She misses with a clothesline when he ducks it and then Jack gives Kira a German suplex to the floor. Jack then stands her up and rolls her into the ring before rolling himself into the ring as well.

Ricky Simms - That didn't turn out how Kira intended it to.

Henry Lesher - I don't think the CWA is turning out how anyone intended.

Jack and Kira get to their feet and start trading knife edge chops while the crowd starts a chant for Jack Spade. Kira then whips Jack into the nearesat corner and she goes for a standing dropkick, but Jack side steps that and then lands a knee to the forehead on Kira before she has a chance to stand. Jack then stands her up, whips her off the ropes and lands a lariat that takes her down to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira Yakamoto. Jack then stands her up and then gives her a vertical suplex back down to the mat. He again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kira. Jack then stands Kira up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and then gives Jack a knee to the spine before she goes for a reverse DDT. Jack blocks it and then gives Kira an elbow to the chin before he picks her up and slams her to the mat. Jack then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. He then dives off and misses with a falling headbutt when Kira rolls out of the way. She then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Jack Spade.

Ricky Simms - Neither wrestler wanting to get pinned in this one.

Henry Lesher - Oh, that was a brilliant move and this is a great show and.... God I need a drink.

Kira stands Jack up, whips him off the ropes and both wrestlers clothesline one another to the mat. The referee starts counting them both down.. On the four count, Kira kips up to her feet. On the five count, Jack does the same and he ducks a round house kick to the chin. Jack then sweeps the feet out from under Kira and then rolls her into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2...3! Jack Spade earns the wqin over Kira this week.

Ricky Simms - Nice win for Jack as he tries to build momentum towards a title shot.

Henry Lesher - He had better get in line because Rated R is the man who will win the title. From there, it won't matter who gets a title shot since no one can stop him.

Jack leaves the ring while Kira realizes inside the ring that she has been beaten and she doesn't look impressed. She rolls herself out of the ring, grabs a chair from ringside and charges towards Jack Spade. She is headed off by members of security and the referee who hold her back while Jack just smiles at her and shrugs before he continues to make his way up the ramp.

Ricky Simms - Kira isn't happy.

Henry Lesher - Neither am I since I had to watch this drivel.

We look backstage and see Tommy Purr with Crystal Braun.

Crystal Braun - We haven't see you in awhile Tommy. What have you been up to?

Tommy Purr - Well, I haven't been impressed by this company in the first few weeks, so I made my way here since you clearly need me.

Crystal Braun - Okay, but what have you been up to during your time off?

Tommy Purr - What I have been doing is my business, not yours. I will keep that information to myself.

Tommy storms off and Crystal shrugs while we head back to the ring for further action.

Max Cameron vs. Rated R

"Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays as Max Cameron comes out onto the stage to a strong ovation from the crowd. He is half way down the ramp to the ring when he is attacked from behind by Rated R who chop blocks his knees out from under him. Rated R then picks Max up and slams him down onto the steel ramp. Rated R then stands over Max and poses while the crowd boos. Rated R stands Max up and then dumps him off the side of the ramp and then leaps down to the floor. Rated R then stands Max up and takes a thumb to the eye from Max. Max then wraps audio cable around the throat of Rated R and chokes him with it while referee Steve Blake tries to break things up.

Ricky Simms - Things are not turning out so well for Ryan here.

Henry Lesher - Ryan is baiting him. That's all. Tell that washed up wrestler posing as a referee to leave this alone. This is the first real fight we have seen in weeks!

Max finally releases the choke hold on Rated R when the referee threatens to disqualify him before the match has even started. Max then grabs Rated R by the hair and pulls him to ringside wherte he then throws him shoulder first into the steel corner post. Max then gives Rated R a fall away slam to the floor which draws a loud cheer from the fans at ringside. Max then stands Rated R up and rolls him into the ring before rolling himself into the ring. Steve Blake can now call for the bell to make this match official.

Ricky Simms - Max is looking to make quick work out of Ryan, though Rated R was the one to make the initial sneak attack.

Henry Lesher - Ryan will overcome this.

Max stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a backdrop to the mat. He then picks Rated R up over his shoulder with the intention of running him head first into the corner buckle. Rated R manages to slide off and shoves Max into the corner and then gives him a shoulder block to the back and then gives him a backslide into a pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Max Cameron. Rated R then gets to his feet, shaking off the effects of Max's attack. Rated R then boot chokes Max, using the ropes for added leverage while the referee counts towards a possible disqualification. Rated R then stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a clothesline to the mat. We then see Shannon Skanes making his way down the ramp towards the ring.

Henry Lesher - Why is he out here?

Ricky Simms - He isn't a big fan of either of these guys.

Rated R stands Max up and then tosses him through the ropes and out to the floor. Rated R then drops and rolls himself out to the floor and then comes face to face with Shannon. Shannon smiles as Rated R scowls. Ryan has a few harsh words for the CWA owner and gives him a shove which draws a gasp from nearby fans. Shannon just backs away and smiles. Rated R then turns to Max and takes a thumb to the eye from Max who then whips him into the guard railing. Max then has a few words for Shannon and he gives the CWA owner a shove as well. Shannon nods and backs off again. Max stands Rated R up and takes a low blow from Rated R who then picks Max up and gives him a spine buster to the floor. Referee Steve Blake sees the low blow and calls for the bell to disqualify Rated R, but Ryan doesn't care as he grabs a chair from beneath a fan at ringside and charges at Shannon. Shannon ducks the chair shot and then the two of them start trading punches.

Ricky Simms - What prompted this on the part of the CWA owner?

Henry Lesher - Neither Ryan or Max wanted him out here. He ruined what was going to be a great match!

Ricky Simms - But why?

Henry Lesher - Maybe because he's a dick?

Security rushes in to break things up between Ryan and Shannon. No one pays any attention to Max who clubs Shannon across the top of the head with a chair, knocking him to the floor. Max then tries to get through security to get at Ryan and finish what they started. Max is pulled away while Steve Blake checks on Shannon Skanes, who is bleeding badly on the floor.

Ricky Simms - Shannon has been busted open and will require medical attention here.

Henry Lesher - That's why he should let the actual men decide things. He isn't the brightest owner in the wrestling world. Of course, at least he doesn't have a midget fighting a seven footer.

While things are settled down at ringside, we look backstage where Hector Braun is with Ray Dees.

Ray Dees - Hector, I understand you have an announcement to make.

Hector Braun - I have been silent for long enough, Raymond. You see, now that we have seen our champion in action and will again tonight, we know that Wren is a fighter. This is perfect as we intend to have fighting champions in the CWA. Starting next week, we will be looking to see who the number one contender should be. Shannon was just out scouting that last match tonight and the attack against him will work against both Ryan and Max in their quest to be the top dog in this company.

Ray Dees - How will you decide the number one contender?

Hector Braun - The CWA never had a Summer Sanitarium this year, as we were on hiatus. Now, as the company is still in the mode of trying to build up its following again, we will do this. Next week, we are going to have a version of Sanitarium. Any wrestler who fancies themselves to be the number one contender may enter. After what happened tonight, I would not be surprised to find Shannon involved.

Ray Dees - Will you recognize an attempt by Kira Yakamoto to enter this time?

Hector Braun - If she chooses to do so, yes. I just hope these wrestlers are ready for some violence. I won't spoil what this match will entail, but it will be violent. It will not be for the faint of heart. Kids, you might want to get your parents to leave the room for this one. Next week, the CWA reminds the wrestling world why it is the very best around.

Ray Dees - I look forward to that.

Hector Braun - Everyone will.

As Hector walks away, we head back to the ring for tonight's main event.

Wren SilverPhoenix vs. Hoshi Yakamoto

"Poundcake" by Van Halen plays as Hoshi Yakamoto comes out onto the stage where she receives the loudest cheers of the night. She blows a kiss to the crowd before she starts to make her way down the ramp. She the makes her way around the ring, giving high fives to the fans at ringside before she makes her way up the ring steps and then jumps over the top rope into the ring. Hoshi then sits on the second rope in the corner while her music fades, her eyes focused on the stage as we hear "The Enemy" by Godsmack and CWA Champion Wren SilverPhoenix makes her way out onto the stage. The crowd gives her a rather mixed reaction, more negative than usual due to the popularity of her opponent.

Ricky Simms - Wren standing tall this week as she gets ready to face a woman who could be the official number one contender next week.

Henry Lesher - Not bloody likely.

Wren circles the ring and hands her title belt to the timekeeper before she jumps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes and into the ring. Referee Casey Braun then calls for the bell and the action is underway. Hoshi locks up with Wren in the middle of the ring and they start to shove each other around, fighting for an early advantage here. Wren manages to back Hoshi itno the corner where the referee asks for a clean break. Wren takes a step back and then lands a forearm to the chin on Hoshi before giving her an arm drag to the middle of the ring. Wren then applies a sleeper hold on Hoshi and tells her that now is the time to give up. The referee checks on Hoshi and finds she isn;t going to sleep and also will not submit at this stage of the match. Hoshi gets to her feet slowly while Wren tries to maintain her hold. Hoshi backs into the corner, sandwiching Wren and causing a break of the hold. Hoshi then turns and lands a series of rights and lefts on Wren then then knees her in the gut before giving her a double under hook suplex to the middle of the ring.

Ricky Simms - Hoshi showing some power there.

Henry Lesher - I want this over quickly. I wish I could fast forward real time, but I have yet to figure that out. I am working on it though.

Hoshi stands Wren up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a dropkick to the mat. Hoshi then quickly gets to her feet and then lands a somersault leg drop to the throat of the champ before she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Wren. Hoshi then stands Wren up, whips her off the ropes and misses with a clothesline when Wren ducks it. Wren then comes off the ropes and leap frogs Hoshi before giving her a hip toss to the mat and then an arm drag after that into an arm bar.

Ricky Simms - Nice chain of moves there by Wren.

Henry Lesher - Oh, I will admit that Wren has more talent than the women in this company. It's a pretty shallow pool of talent, though. They're from a rather shallow gene pool as well.

Ricky Simms - That's not called for.

Hoshi gets to her feet and backs Wren into the ropes which causes the referee to force the break of the hold. Wren releases Hoshi and then gives her a hip toss right over the top rope and out to the floor. Wren then stands inside the ring, waits for Hoshi to stand and then lands a springboard clothesline to the floor on Hoshi. Wren allows an evil grin to cross her face as she stands over Hoshi and then looks out at the booing fans. Wren then stands Hoshi up, rolls her into the ring and then rolls herself into the ring. Wren then goes for the pin on Hoshi. 1...2... Hoshi kicks out and places Wren in a small package. 1...2...3! Hoshi scores the upset win this week over Wren!

Ricky Simms - Hoshi beat the champ!

Henry Lesher - No she didn't. Rated R wasn't involved in this match.

Hoshi rolls herself out of the ring to the floor while a shocked Wren has a few unkind words for referee Casey Braun. Wren then gets to her feet and gives Casey a clothesline to the mat, despite the fact her father is one of her bosses. Wren then rolls herself out of the ring, grabs her title belt from the time keeper and then runs after Hoshi. She drills Hoshi in the back of the head with the title belt and then screams at her.

Wren SilverPhoenix - Do you think you can beat me for this? This is as close as you get Hoshi! You will never pin my shoulders to the mat again!

Wren then puts the boots to her before retreating up the ramp with her title belt raised while the crowd throws plastic cups and paper at the champ. Medics rush to attend to Hoshi while the crowd starts a chant for her.

Ricky Simms - Wren snapped tonight.

Henry Lesher - I would, too, if I got pinned by that thing.

Ricky Simms - That's it for tonight fans. Tune in next week as one person will emerge as the prime contender for Wren's belt.

Henry Lesher - Yes, I will be glad to see Ryan get that.

We fade to black as Hoshi gets to her feet and looks towards Wren on the stage. This fight isn't over...
