October 30th, 2007 Ricky Simms - Last week we crowned the new CWA champion and that has sent shock waves through the wrestling world! Henry Lesher - Last week was a sham. Rated R had that title and now he's going to punish people. Kosmic Kitty vs. Rated R "Scandalous" by Mis-Teeq starts to play as Kosmic Kitty makes her way towards the ring. She high fives fans at ringside and hands out Twinkies, this time from a plastic jack-o-lantern which she then hands to a little boy in the front row who is dressed up as Hulk Hogan. She then makes her way onto the ramp and blows a kiss towards the crowd before she steps through the ropes and into the ring. She looks a little uneasy as she paces and then we hear "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace and Rated R comes out to a loud chorus of boos from the crowd. He pays no attention to the crowd, a steel chair in hand as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. Ricky Simms - What's with the chair? Henry Lesher - Ryan is finally going to end that little bimbo's career. I wish I had brought my camera tonight. Rated R rolls into the ring under the bottom rope, then sets the chair up and calls for the microphone. He looks over at Kosmic Kitty and shakes his head before he addresses the crowd. Rated R - I am supposed to fight Samantha tonight. You know why? Do you know why I am in the opening match of the night? See, I can accept one insult or the other, but not both. You want the night to start with me fighting a girl I have dated? You're holding the big names like Scavenger and Hoshi for later? Are you kidding me? Rated R then takes a seat in the chair and looks up at the lights above the ring for a moment before he continues. Rated R - I can handle being insulted one week, but this would be two weeks in a row. Last week I was screwed out of being champion and now I am dedicated to bringing this company to its knees. I will make it fail early instead of having the roster start to believe in it just in time for it to fail. The Skanes family is known for two things, its ability to lose inside the ring and its inability to run a successful wrestling company. Tonight, I am not wrestling. I am staying inside this ring and there won't be a show tonight. Let the failure begin. Rated R tosses the microphone from the ring and places his hands behind his head as if preparing for a long sit in front of the camera. Kosmic Kitty isn't happy as she now paces in the corner behind Ryan. This continues for a few moments before we hear "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC and the crowd cheers as Max Cameron emerges onto the stage with a microphone in hand. Max Cameron - Wow, this must be the CWA because Rated R is in the middle of the ring killing the show! Now, Ryan, you and I have teamed together and we have had our battles. I can understand your point of view on the family running this company better than anyone else here, but when you hit that ring, you need to be ready for a fight. Max Cameron drops the microphone and charges down the ramp into the ring. Rated R jumps up from his chair, folds it and swings wildly at Max Cameron with it. Max ducks and the chair then hits Kosmic Kitty across the jaw, sending her down in a heap to the mat. Rated R drops the chair at the sight of this and takes a low blow from Max Cameron who then lands The Contradiction on Rated R. Max then puts the boots to Rated R while the crowd cheers before he stands over him, poses and flexes for the crowd and then drops and leaves the ring, both Rated R and Kosmic Kitty lying unconscious on the canvas. Max then smiles for the camera and tells us that he's back and better than ever before he heads back up the ramp. Ricky Simms - I certainly didn't expect that from Max Cameron! Henry Lesher - Rated R was distracted. He had finally knocked out that blonde bag of air and Max took advantage of that moment. Ricky Simms - Max ducked the chair shot from Rated R and Ryan's chair caught Kitty right across the side of the head. I don't believe he intended to strike her as he dropped his guard right after. Henry Lesher - He saw the airhead fall and he was going to celebrate. Max is a cheap shot artist, no better than Wren was last week. Max had better watch his back. Ricky Simms - Medics are inside the ring now attending to both stars. I certainly hope Kitty is alright. Henry Lesher - And your prayers are with Ryan as well. Ricky Simms - Okay, if you say so. I am glad someone took him out before he ruined the show. Henry Lesher - He makes every show better. How many times must I tell you that? Backstage we see Crystal Braun with Jack Spade. Crystal Braun - Jack, in tonight's main event, you get to face Wren in a non-title match. How do you approach that? Jack Spade - Crystal, I have been with this company in various forms for a long time now. While I respect Wren took a long time before she became the top performer around here, I am tired of waiting around. Tonight, I show the world why it's my turn. Crystal Braun - We just saw the return of Max Cameron and rumor has it that other superstars will be returning as well either tonight or in the near future. How does this affect you in your quest? Jack Spade - It doesn't. It just means I have that much higher a mountain to climb and I will reach the summit. No one will deny me of that. Crystal Braun - Best of luck to you tonight, Jack. Jack then exits and we head back to the ring for further action. Hoshi Yakamoto vs. Scavenger "Poundcake" by Van Halen starts to play as Hoshi Yakamoto steps out onto the stage and waves to the cheering crowd. She then runs down the ramp and slides under the bottom rope into the ring before leaping to her feet and then jumping to the top rope in the corner where she poses for the fans. Hoshi then does a back flip off the top rope and lands on her feet inside the ring. She then tests the ropes while her music fades and then we hear "Mine Teil" by Rammstein and we are surprised to see Vesuvius leading Scavenger onto the stage. Vesuvius has the chair in hand and he walks side by side with Scavenger down the ramp, while Lauren follows close behind. The crowd gives Vesuvius a decent ovation, though it is more muted than it would be since he is going against one of the most popular superstars in the company. Ricky Simms - It's never good news when these two team up. Henry Lesher - Well, it's bad news for Hoshi anyway. Scavenger makes his way up the steps onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Mark Davis calls for the bell as Scavenger and Hoshi then move in for a lock up. Scavenger then knees Hoshi in the ribs before placing her in a headlock and then he gives her a bulldog to the mat. He tries for the quick pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi while Vesuvius applauds from ringside. Scavenger then stands Hoshi up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline before giving Scavenger a round house kick to the chest that she follows up with a standing dropkick that sends him falling to and right through the ropes and then out to the floor. Hoshi then has a few words with his wife Lauren while Vesuvius goes around the ring to talk to Scavenger. Ricky Simms - If you take Hoshi's agility for granted, she'll burn you. Henry Lesher - If she beat me, I would burn myself, probably to a crisp. Vesuvius has a few words with Scavenger before Scavenger then pulls himself onto the apron before stepping through the ropes into the ring. Scavenger circles Hoshi and moves in only to take a kick to the kneecap from Hoshi who then gives Scavenger a series of forearm smashes to the jaw. Hoshi then whips Scavenger into the corner, then jumps onto the second rope and starts raining down punches to the forehead on Scavenger. Scavenger then grabs Hoshi around the waist and pulls her out of the corner before giving her an atomic drop in the middle of the ring. He then gives her a clothesline to the mat before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi and Scavenger has a few words with the referee and the speed of the count. Ricky Simms - Scav thought he had her there. Henry Lesher - Oh, he probably did. The officiating is as incompetent as ever around here. Scavenger stands Hoshi up, whips her into the corner buckle and then lands a shoulder block in the corner on her before he picks her up and gives her a power slam to the mat. He again goes for the pin. 1...2... Hoshi gets a foot on the bottom rope. Scavenger then stands her up and whips her through the ropes and out to the floor. Scavenger then climbs the ropes in the corner and waits for her to get to her feet. Hoshi does, turns and ducks out of the way of a falling Scavenger. Instead of hitting her with a double axe handle, Scavenger instead crashes into Vesuvius and both men go to the floor at ringside. Ricky Simms - That's not how he intended that to turn out. Henry Lesher - Scavenger is an idiot. Scavenger gets to his feeet, staggers to the ring and pulls himself in under the bottom rope while Hoshi climbs to the top rope. Before Scavenger has a chance to get to his feet, Hoshi lands the Perfect 10 and then hooks the leg for the pin attempt. 1...2...3! Hoshi scores the win on Scavenger this week! Ricky Simms - Huge win for Hoshi this week as she builds momentum. Henry Lesher - Scavenger's plunge continues. My God, he lost to her of all people? Hoshi exits the ring and starts up the ramp towards the back. As she does, we look backstage and we see Kira Yakamoto with Casey Braun. Casey Braun - Kira, you've been outspoken on the oversight last week, where you weren't in the gauntlet for the CWA title. Kira Yakamoto - Hey, I just tell the truth, Casey. I have every right to be in a match for a title, just as much as Hoshi does. In fact, I believe I can be the best before she'll reach that level. Casey Braun - You also threw a challenge out to Bombshell. Kira Yakamoto - Yes and, if she isn't a coward, she will answer that challenge. By beating her, I will finally get the recognition that I deserve. Casey Braun - We haven't even seen Yvonne as of yet, so there's no telling if she's actually going to be around. Kira Yakamoto - Oh, she'll be around. She'll answer my challenge or prove herself to be a total coward. I am done being protected and being taken for granted in this business. I am demanding my chance. I am taking it. I will take it from anyone who gets in my way and I intend to start with Bombshell. She storms off and we head back to the ring for the main event. Jack Spade vs. Wren SilverPhoenix "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne plays as Jack Spade steps out onto the ramp where the crowd gives him the loudest ovation of the night. He takes this in for a few moments before he starts down the ramp towards the ring. He then makes a complete lap around the ring, shaking hands with fans and even stopping to sign a few autographs. He then makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then leaps over the top rope and into the ring where he then stretches his arms while his music fades out. We then hear "The Enemy" by Godsmack and the crowd has a mixed response as CWA champion Wren SilverPhoenix, steps out onto the stage. She holds the belt high above her head and then makes her way down the ramp towards the ring. Ricky Simms - I will say that while I haven't always been a fan of her tactics, seeing Wren with the title works as she has been a CWA star many years ago. Henry Lesher - Right, she's from the past. This company is supposed to be looking toward the future. Wren stops at ringside, hands her belt to the timekeeper and then makes her way up the ring steps and then steps through the ropes into the ring. She has a few words with Spade as referee Steve Blake calls for the bell to get things started. Wren shoves Jack Spade. Spade answers with a leg sweep that takes her down to the mat and then he applies a full Nelson on her. She drops out of that and gives Jack a mule kick to the chest. Wren then quickly gets to her feet and ducks a clothesline from Spade before giving him a series of knife edge chops to the chest. Spade answers with a head butt and then gives Wren a whip into the corner where he then gives her a dropkick to the chest. Spade then sets for and delivers a snap suplex on Wren before he quickly goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top. He leaps off for a flying elbow smash, but he misses as Wren rolls out of the way and he hits the mat instead. Ricky Simms - Good ring sense there from the champ. Henry Lesher - Well, Spade shouldn't have gone high risk so early. He's not very bright. Wren rolls herself right out to the floor to regroup with Jack right behind her. Jack and Wren start trading rights and lefts and Jack then slams Wren's head into the ring apron before he rolls her into the ring and then rolls himself back in as well. Jack then stands Wren up, whips her off the ropes and both wrestlers dropkick one another before they crumple down to the mat. The referee starts to count them both down while the fans start a chant for Jack Spade. On the three count, Jack starts to pull himself up from the mat. On the four count, Wren does the same and Jack is to his feet at six which stops the count. Jack gives Wren a knife edge chops and then gives her a snap mare to the mat before he applies a sleeper hold. Wren immediately falls back and manages to grab the bottom rope to force the break. Once Jack has released her, she falls back to the outside of the ring in another effort to regroup. Ricky Simms - Wren doesn't have an answer for Jack at this point. Henry Lesher - The past rarely has an answer for anything, though Jack isn't much to look at either. I don't know why I showed up this week. Jack Spade leaps through the middle and top rope, landing a lariat onto a surprised Wren that takes her down to the mat. Jack then stands Wren up and rolls her into the ring before rolling himself into the ring. Jack goes for the pin. 1...2... Wren reverses it and grabs the rope for added leverage. 1...2... the referee notices the rope being held and stops the count. Wren releases the rope and has a few words with the referee. She then slams a few solid elbows to the jaw on Spade before she stands him up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Wren then lands a leg drop across the throat on Spade and again goes for the pin, this time without the aid of the ropes. 1...2... Jack rolls a shoulder out. Ricky Simms - The champ almost had the win there. Henry Lesher - Oh stop calling her that. She's going to keep that belt shorter than Gerry would have. Wren stands Jack up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a round house kick that sends him back down to the mat. Wren then goes to the ropes and makes her way to the top. She leaps off only to miss with a five star frog splash when Jack rolls out of the way before he jumps to his feet. He then comes off the ropes and goes for a rolling thunder on the fallen Wren, but she rolls out of the way and rolls Jack into a small package for the pin attempt. 1...2...3! Wren scores another win this week and rolls out of the ring and grabs her title belt before she starts making her way up the ramp. Ricky Simms - That match could have gone either way. That's a tough break for Jack Spade. Henry Lesher - Oh, come on, let's get some real main event talent on this show. Let's not screw Rated R over and get a real main event and a real champion. Ricky Simms - Well, fans, that's it from us this week. Tune in next week for another edition of Overdrive! We fade out on a shot of Wren making her way up the ramp, none other than Tommy Purr standing on the stage behind Wren. |
