Wow.. The first card for Championship Pro Wrestling was announced, and man, was it huge. There are many great matches to be seen, but the main event, is the one match everyone will be buying their tickets to see. Chris Jericho will be stepping into the ring, inside a steel cage, to face Triple H. These two men are possibly the biggest names in wrestling today, there can be no doubting how great this match is going to be, The camera suddenly flickers to life, our setting, well, we aren't really sure where we are right now. We switch to another camera, and we're staring through a steel cage. The structure really does look daunting when you see it this close, there can be no doubt about that.

CHRIS JERICHO: So, this is where it has to be?



We hear the voice of Jericho, we are yet to see him though. We are still looking from outside the ring, no sign of him.



CHRIS JERICHO: This is where it all begins.



We watch now as Jericho slowly walks into shot. He's standing inside the steel cage, wearing another designer suit. He looks like he doesn't have a care in the world, he doesn't seem fazed by the cage at all.



CHRIS JERICHO: This is what they wanted, huh? Flair, you wanted this? Shawn, you wanted this? You want me to destroy your old friend? If you don't, you've got a funny way of showing it.



He strides around the cage, walking to all four corners, while running his hand along the side of the steel.



CHRIS JERICHO: That's exactly what's going to happen. You see, when Hunter steps into the ring, steps inside the four sides of unforgiving steel, he can't escape. Nobody can come rushing down to help him, it's gonna' be just the two of us in that ring. Now, I know you'll go on, and on, Hunter. You'll tell me how many cages you've stepped in, how many guys that you've managed to defeat. That means nothing to me, what you've done in the past doesn't matter. You're about to step into the ring with Chris Jericho, at the peak of my career. I'm only getting better, match after match, I just get stronger. What are you prepared to do, to get that victory, Hunter? Are you still willing to lay it all on the line, are you prepared to risk being carried out of that arena on a damn stretcher? You better be, because that's the way it's looking for you right now.



He sounds as sure of himself as ever, confidence just bursting from Jericho right now.



CHRIS JERICHO: I've heard the whispers flying around Championship Pro Wrestling, and I believe them. Shawn Michaels, you have a problem with me? Why don't you join us inside that steel cage? Oh, right, I almost forgot, Shawn. You "retired", right? You think you can send Triple H to do the job, Shawn? I'm going to enjoy this more than I first thought I would. People realize that I'm the number one guy in this company, it's obvious to me that you think so, too. Shawn, do you really think it's wise to try, and make life harder for me? I mean, really, you've given me a real treat this week. Locking me inside a steel cage with Triple H, it's the worst thing that you could EVER do, for Triple H. I'm not just going to beat him, I'm gonna' send a message to everyone in the back, by giving him the biggest beating of his life. When he steps inside this structure with me, I'm going to bounce his face off every corner. I'll make sure that I beat him to within an inch of his life, by the end, I'll have him begging me for mercy. I'll sho him no mercy, and you know what I'll tell him? That this is YOUR fault, Shawn. You done it to him, you put the final nail in his coffin, I'm just the hammer that you're gonna' use to do it.



He tilts his head, motioning for the camera to look up to the top of the cage. It's clear now just how tall the cage really is, Jericho has a smirk on his face.



CHRIS JERICHO: Do you think you can get to the top, Hunter? Can this be your way of escaping?



Jericho shakes his head.



CHRIS JERICHO: We both know that you can't make this, Hunter. I won't give you the chance to even get one foot on this cage, you're not gonna' leave my sight. I'm not a fool, I know if I give you a slight chance, you may take it. There's not going to be ONE SECOND in this match, where I'm not in your face. I'm going to make sure that when you look back on this match, you appreciate the lesson that you were taught. This isn't the World Wrestling Entertainment, Hunter. When you lose this match, you're going to fall right down to the very bottom, and watch, as I proceed to capture that World Heavyweight Championship next week. There's nothing you can do to stop me, Hunter. If you had one brain cell in your head, you'd not show your face next week. I know you better than you think, and I know you'll be there, you're an idiot. You're blinded by your feelings, by what you believe yourself to be. Take a look at me, Hunter. This is what greatness truly looks like. Shawn Michaels knows what he is doing, whether he wants to admit it or not. He can hide behind his excuses, I know why he wants me in this match. Shawn Michaels knows that I'm the main draw, people want to come, and watch, Chris Jericho win. When Shawn thinks about it, he knows, deep down, that you aren't in my league. If I was you, I'd be having words with Shawn, Hunter.



He holds both hands up.



CHRIS JERICHO: Hey, just saying, if it was me, I would.



He walks over to the turnbuckle and then takes a seat on top, staring into the ring now. We still view him through the cage.



CHRIS JERICHO: I've always been one step ahead of you, anyway. I was the first Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion, Hunter. I won't brag about it, but it's a fact. Do you really think that I'm going to let this chance slip through my grasp? A chance to once again, beat you to the punch. I've never seen someone so undeserving in my life, until I came across you, Hunter. Everything that you've achieved in wrestling, has all been handed to you. I've busted my ass for years, and I hardly get the credit that I deserve. No longer will I be ignored. I'm the focus point of this company, people should be looking up to me. Start as you mean to go on, that's how the saying goes. After I dispose of Triple H, I can do whatever the hell I like. I'll beat every single wrestler that comes my way. I don't give a damn who it is, I'll face anyone in this company. It's all the same to me, every single one of them, are nothing. Never before have i felt THIS confident, I can't lose. I'm telling you all right now, Chris Jericho is going to be around for a LONG time. You better get used to hearing the sound of my voice, looking at my face. Anytime you hear the name Championship Pro Wrestling, instantly, an image of my face will pop into your mind, An image of this sexy beast, heh, you're all so lucky.



Jericho stands on the turnbuckle now, and begins to climb the cage. He gets to the top very quickly, putting one leg over the other side now. He sits comfortably at the top, we now get our first clear view of him.



CHRIS JERICHO: There are two ways to actually escape this cage, Hunter. This is the only way that I'm leaving.



He looks down to the ground, a slight grin on his face.



CHRIS JERICHO: I'm not looking to crawl out of that door, I'm going right out of the top here. I'll make sure that you're finished for good before I make this trip. I can picture it now, Hunter. The looks on the faces, of all those idiots in the crowd, when I climb up here, and move on down the other side. They won't believe it. The only person who needs to believe it is me, and god knows, I'll make this happen. I can't fail, I can't lose. This is what I was born to do, to be the greatest superstar ever to grace the wrestling world. When I signed on the dotted line, I knew this is where I wanted to spend the rest of my career. Championship Pro Wrestling is the perfect home for me, no doubt about it. Flair seems to be the only one who appreciates me like he should. Flair knows what he's doing, he knows what kind of exposure I can give this place. Already, people are signing because they heard Chris Jericho was here. That's the type of guy I am, that's the type of pull I have around this place. I know Hunter will be sitting somewhere right now, thinking of what is gonna' happen when that bell rings. He'll picture that cage coming down, closing us in the ring together. Hunter, you know what is in store for you. I've told you time, and time, again. Do you think I'm joking? If you, for one second, come into that ring THINKING that you can beat me... Well, let's just say things will get even WORSE for you.



Jericho pulls his other leg over, and he climbs down the outside of the cage. He touches down on the ground as the camera moves away, so we can capture Jericho, and also the steel cage. Jericho turns, and points to the cage.



CHRIS JERICHO: There she is. The debut show, and a steel cage match in the main event. This night is going to be epic, it'll be talked about all over the world. Everyone will be talking about me, about how awesome Chris Jericho was.



He pauses for a second.



CHRIS JERICHO: There are many reasons why I want to win this match, Hunter. My main motivation, is getting the chance to fight next week for that World Heavyweight Championship. I don't care if I have to rip down every single bag above that ring, I'll do it. The only title that I'm looking for is the World Heavyweight Championship, it belongs to me. That title just won't look right sitting on anyone elses shoulder. When I look who could potentially be in that match, it gets me excited. I get a feeling deep inside, right in the pit of my stomach, excitement takes over. It's too good to be true, this could be the easiest two weeks of my life. Hunter, bring yourself, and your amazing large nose, down that ramp. You come down there, and you take your beating, like the good little girl that you are. You haven't wrestled a good match in years, Hunter. You're too busy watching those quads nowadays, I think. This is why I came back into wrestling, I saved people from people like you. Even still, after I saved them, they STILL wanted idiots like you, Hunter. They wanted to see the same old boring people, night after night. So, I decided, why should I waste my time trying to save them? So, when I begin to dominate, they have no one to blame, but themselves. I'm going to turn into the very thing they wanted me to save them from when I returned a while back. I'm going to be on their TV screens night after night, they won't be able to watch a show without hearing from me.



He nods his head slowly, assuring us that this is what is going to happen. He walks around to the front of the other side of the cage, as we follow. We see the door, which has a padlock on it now.



CHRIS JERICHO: I know what you're thinking, Hunter. No, I really do.



Jericho places his hands around the steel, and tugs, it doesn't open. The lock has it sealed tightly.



CHRIS JERICHO: There won't be enough time for you to get out of here, Hunter. I promise. I live for matches like this, matches that throw me in the spotlight, when all eyes are bearing down upon me. I want to send a warning to you, Shawn Michaels. Don't get involved in my business, I don't give a damn if you're the co-owner of this place. You're gonna' end up getting yourself into a whole world of trouble, don't start something that you don't want ANY part of. You quit wrestling because you're too old, your body can't handle the beatings like it used to. You stick to running this place, and I'll stick to doing what I do best, winning matches. Triple H, this is going to be the worst night of your LIFE! You think that you've seen it all before? Well, you'd be dead wrong. This is going to be an experience that you will NEVER want to re-live as long as you walk this earth, You need to think REAL hard, Hunter. You need to think if this is all worth your time, I know it isn't, it's just if YOU do before it's too late. The ring will be covered in your blood, your body will lay broken in the middle of the cage. You'll look up into my eyes, as you slowly lose consciousness, that's when you'll realize that you're truly inferior. That your glory days have long gone, no more will you reign as "the king". You're looking at the king, junior. Chris Jericho. I promise all of you right now, with god as my witness, that I'll take total control of Championship Pro Wrestling. You'll be calling ME, owner. Take a look at your watch, Hunter. The time is ticking away, it's getting ever closer to your judgment day.



An evil smile comes across his face again.



CHRIS JERICHO: I can assure you that after Affliction, Hunter. You'll never... EVER.. be the same... AGAIN!



Jericho chuckles to himself as he walks off. We're left with a shot of the steel cage, looking awesome.
