BACKGROUND

FWrestling.com has been running since April 1998.  Originally started as FantasyWrestling.com, the site hosted the CSWA, then expanded to include FW Central.  A major crash on the virtual server we were hosted on in July 2000 resulted in a total loss of data.

One good outcome of the server crash, FWrestling.com is now hosted on its own dedicated server with dual backup protection, as well as plenty of disk space and bandwidth.  The intent of this free hosting is to provide a stable, long-lasting area for your site to grow and get connected with a larger community.

GUIDELINES

Any site related to fantasy wrestling is acceptable:  league sites, individual wrestler sites, etc.  FWrestling.com has the right to terminate any account for any reason at any time.  Sites should not be used to hotlink images or files.  Additional terms and conditions are listed in the application for free hosting.  By filling out an application, you agree to abide by those terms and conditions.

HOSTING TYPES

BASIC HOSTING is ideal for feds that are currently hosted on Angelfire, Geocities, etc.  A built-in file manager allows you to upload and manage files as needed.  Best of all, there are currently NO ADVERTISEMENTS there is NO WAIT to sign up these accounts.  You have our promise that no pop-up ads will ever be added to your account.  Simply fill out the application, and you will be e-mailed IMMEDIATELY with your account information.

Basic hosting accounts receive an initial limit of 10MB of storage, although this can be expanded as your site grows.  It is also possible to 'upgrade' your account, adding space and FTP access, etc., as your account grows over time.  

A WWWBoard, Guestbook and Formmail are all included in each basic hosting account, and are customizable.  You also have access to post "Circuit News" on the main page, and may apply to get a permanent "FW News" account.

A forum has been set up on FW Central where you can ask questions about your account, and discuss account features and additions with other Basic Hosting users.  

To apply for a Basic Hosting Account and get started RIGHT AWAY:  CLICK HERE.  Be sure that the username you select is your league name or the account name you want.  Your new site will be at:  http://fwrestling.com/hosted/account.  Once you fill out the form, you will be e-mailed automatically with your acceptance and all the information you need to log-in. 

PREMIERE HOSTING is ideal for users who have a higher level of technical knowledge.  Account are still free with no advertisements, but feature FTP access. Premiere accounts have no limit on storage up to 50MB, and are expandable as your account grows over time.  These accounts also have access to CGI, PHP and SSI as needed, as well as POP e-mail accounts or redirects.

Subdomain setup is available upon request.  This means your homepage can be both http://fwrestling.com/league and http://league.fwrestling.com.

These accounts will also be setup with a news account and the ability to post under the 'FW News' heading on the main FWrestling.com page.  Leagues will also be able to have their 88x31 logo appear on the main page under 'Federations.'

Premiere accounts which are accepted automatically have the option to have forums on FW Central as needed.  The use of other message boards systems is accepted in some cases, as requested.

Note:  Leagues interested in using FW Central Forum Hosting along with a Premiere account will be given first priority.

FW CENTRAL FORUM HOSTING

FW Central has been running consistently since 1998, and currently hosts roleplay and discussion for around 15 leagues of different types.  FW Central features high stability and security, the ability for league owners to moderate their own boards, and have multiple forums for posting roleplay, discussion, even cards, etc.

Leagues hosted on FW Central received access to posting "FW News" on the main FWrestling.com page.  They also receive the option to use the Roster/Free Agent creation system, which allows fedheads to include their entire roster with one line of code, as well as include what information they would like included for each wrestler.  The Free Agent system (*currently being finished) will allow potential members to fill out a standard join form and identify which leagues they would like to be considered by.

FW Central also features a private messaging system, buddy lists, bookmarks, profiles, and a scratch pad feature to save notes-in-progress.

DOMAIN HOSTING is limited to long-standing feds who need to host their own domain name.  Domain hosting gives users full CGI, PHP, SSI and MySQL access.  Owners are given an online account manager with the ability to view usage statistics and disk space, as well as manage several features such us setting up POP e-mail or redirects, MySQL accounts and FTP access.

Domain hosting is available upon request depending on the amount of space and bandwidth required.  We are also looking for sites that fill a niche, whether as long-standing leagues, resource sites or one-of-a-kind sites.  "Affiliate" sites that fill a specific niche and affiliate with FWrestling.com may receive free or reduced-rate hosting.  Other spots may be available for a nominal fee in order to cover our costs.

As with other plans, domain users have access to news posting, use of the Roster/Free Agent system, and will have an 88x31 logo put in either the "Federations" or "Partners" area on the main page.
