Explicit Content
(Shaun Cabalar, Jay O’Neil, Chris Hunter, Shawn Hardy, Matt Jackson, Joseph Johnson)

vs.

High Definition
(Shadow, Blaze, Eric Johnson, Mike Anderson, Shawn Sturgis, Carnage)

Around the month of November in 2004, High Definition contained the members Matt Jackson, Shadow, Blaze, Eric Johnson, Mike Anderson, Spike, Carnage, Jonathan Sanders, Andy Hunt, Shaun Cabalar, Jay O’Neil, Chris Hunter, Joseph Johnson, Shawn Payne, Jason Madison, and Jeronimo. Sixteen members. Around this time, Jay O’Neil and Shaun Cabalar wanted to start their own faction and continue to be an ally to High Definition. Matt Jackson and Eric Johnson were OK with this, but Shadow and Blaze wouldn’t let it happen.

No matter what any other member of High Definition thought, Shaun and Jay were going to start their own group. Leaving High Definition, the two forged Explicit Content, splitting control at the beginning before Jay finally became the official leader. Angry by these events, Blaze told everyone there could be no alliance between Explicit Content and High Definition and all members had to choose one or the other. Chris Hunter left to join Shaun and Jay while Joseph Johnson left and went out on his own. Jeronimo, Shawn Payne, and Jason Madison were all kicked out. Jonathan Sanders was later kicked out and Andy Hunt’s demise is unknown.

Blaze wouldn’t stop in his quest to ruin Explicit Content’s hopes, leading to a violent confrontation with Shaun Cabalar in a real life fight. Shaun knocked the teeth out of Blaze’s mouth and put him in a hospital for a little over a month.

Shane White joined Explicit Content a week later, becoming the fourth member of EC. The group of four went into the Xtreme Wrestling Federation, bringing ally, but not member, Joseph Johnson with them. In XWF, Chris Hunter became World Champion, Jay became ____ Champion, and Shaun Cabalar became Hardcore Champion, all in one show. Shane White contended for the Intercontinental Championship, but had to go through Joseph Johnson in order to win it, which was not going to happen. Johnson dominated him and Joseph Johnson joined Explicit Content the next day.

XWF soon closed, leading Joseph Johnson to start his own organization, known as No Mercy Wrestling v.3. Shaun Cabalar and Jay O’Neil joined the federation, while Chris remained on the sideline. Long-time friend to Shaun Cabalar, Shawn Hardy, also joined the fed. A tournament was held to crown the first nMw World Champion, with Shawn Hardy making it all the way to the finals. However, Blaze and the rest of High Definition resurfaced and hacked the federation, destroying every remnant of its existence.

The war between Explicit Content and High Definition could no longer be avoided. Carlos Williams, former owner of the NWO, came in to judge a five on five elimination tag team match between the groups, which would take place at Drastic Measures. At the onset, it was Spike, Shadow, Blaze, Eric Johnson, and Mike Anderson against Shaun Cabalar, Jay O’Neil, Chris Hunter, Ricky Youngblood and the shocking Shawn Hardy, who opted to join Explicit Content at the last second.

Joseph Johnson had tried to distance himself from eFeds and wrestling all together. He chose not to compete at Drastic Measures, which upset many members of his group, but Johnson didn’t know of this until many months later. Johnson didn’t think the match was going to take place and really was probably wise to avoid it all together because the extreme amount of drama and stress it all would cause. Johnson did however challenge a member of High Definition to a one on one match at Drastic Measures, but it never became official.

Lost in the middle of this was Matt Jackson. Matt was one of the founding members of High Definition six years prior and had been the face of the faction all those years. Matt refused to fight against Explicit Content, but was too angry with Blaze and Shadow to remain with High Definition. With Explicit Content in an obvious hole, Matt Jackson made a shocking switch, ending a six year journey and joining Explicit Content in one of the most shocking actions in eWrestling history.

On the High Definition side, Spike never showed up and the side was forced to replace him with Shawn Sturgis. Sturgis quickly became a target for the members of Explicit Content, often poking fun at his ridiculous redundancy, immature attitude, and constant need to create a meaningless conflict every time someone opened there mouth. Sturgis might have actually been good, we don’t know, but his irritating remarks probably did more harm for, High Definition, than good.

With the teams now set at Shadow, Blaze, Eric Johnson, Mike Anderson, and Shawn Sturgis versus Shaun Cabalar, Jay O’Neil, Chris Hunter, Shawn Hardy, and Matt Jackson. The match was ready to take place, but Shadow and Sturgis continuously delayed it, aggravating some members of their own team even. Finally, it all came down to Shawn Sturgis, who constantly put the match off by not submitting his information to Carlos Williams. The info proved unnecessary.

On the morning of February 15, 2005, not long after 8:30AM, Blaze and Shaun got involved in a very heated argument on the forum with Blaze eventually calling out Shaun to fight him for real. Finally having enough, Shaun decided to go after Blaze and drove upstate in Florida to face him. When Shaun arrived he found himself alone with a steel pipe against around a dozen other people. Blaze, of all people, accused Shaun of being a pussy because he brought a pipe, even though Blaze himself brought a dozen other people. Shaun threw the pipe as hard as he could at one guy’s leg and the fight was on. As great as Shaun is at fighting, there’s no way he could ever win against so many people.

Thankfully, someone was watching over Shaun. Matt Jackson was neighbors with Blaze and would have fought alongside Shaun, but he was with his dying grandmother in England. Luckily, Matt got into contact with both Shawn Hardy and Chris Hunter and told them what was going on and how to get there.

At the last second Hardy and Chris showed up with other people to assist Shaun. Chris ended up throwing two people in a dumpster while Hardy took out a few others. Meanwhile, Shaun and Blaze continued their epic showdown with Shaun beating Blaze into a bloody mess. In the end, Explicit Content proved to be vastly superior, leaving Blaze with a long list of injuries including life-ling headaches, permanent loss of vision in his right eye, broken ribs, a broken arm, and a great loss of blood.

Drastic Measures obviously had to be called off, but not before Eric Johnson wisely made the jump to Explicit Content. Eric was given a warm welcome and caused other HD members to question their allegiance to HD as well. No other defections occurred over the next two months, but Explicit Content was finally able to take a step back and enjoy their success. The group was finally at peace… or was it?

Blaze resurfaced after two months in the hospital, proving a cockroach never dies. He came thirsty for blood, looking to exact revenge in anyway possible. At first, he threatened to sue Shaun, but he had no real way of doing so. However, Carlos had had enough of the EC/HD drama and banned all EC members from his forum. Finally, blaze found his revenge by attacking innocent people connected to a member of Explicit Content. To protect the innocent, we can’t tell you what he did or who it was too.

When word of Blaze’s actions began to make rounds it was obvious the feud needed to finally end. Eric Johnson, a police officer in real life, tracked down Blaze and arrested him. However, before turning Blaze in, he let Shaun and other members of Explicit Content teach him a lesson. Blaze remains in jail to this day.

The feud between the two groups finally began to fizzle out. High Definition was originally formed by Matt Jackson, Blaze, and Shadow. Eric Johnson was next in line and he was already in Explicit Content. Matt Jackson also was a member of EC now, and Blaze was in jail. All that remained was Shadow, along with other members Mike Anderson, Carnage, and Spike A few members of them kept their allegiance to High Definition, but Shadow finally realized he was on the wrong side and defected to Explicit Content. This proved to be the final decisive blow to High Definition, ending the war between the two groups.
