(CUEUP: ‘Show Them Your Backswing’ by Repelican. The crowd looks over to the curtains and cheer as New ERA President Marcus LaRoque steps through holding a microphone.)
JIVE: “Looks like the President has a new theme…”
GHEORGHE: “Marcus LaRoque is out here … and he looks like he’s got something important to say.”
(LaRoque uses his hands to signal to the crowd to quiet down.)
LaROQUE: “Now as you all might have noticed …. Our first two quarterfinal match ups for the PRODIGY Classic Xtreme Title have been cancelled due to this mysterious masked man attacking the wrestlers. Well, Juliet Marceau and I are searching right now for him … but what he has done has left us in a bind. What do we do with these two open spots that we have in the semifinals?”
(The crowd pops.)
JIVE: “Just crown Chaos champion already … we know that he’s the only man in the tournament who deserves the title!”
GHEORGHE: “That would negate the rookie battle royal, Nick.”
JIVE: “Who cares … these guys in the newcomer battle royal are all too green anyway.”
LaROQUE: “Well I’ve been thinking about it … and after trying to think of every possible situation … the best I can come up with … is to use the Newcomer Battle Royal … right here tonight …. To fill the open two positions!”
(SFX: Crowd pops.)
JIVE: “WHAT!?”
GHEORGHE: “LaRoque is going to give some more spotlight to our newcomers!”
LaROQUE: “Therefore … since there are 10 competitors in tonight’s battle royal … the FINAL THREE will all be assured a spot in the semifinals of the P©X Title tournament … with the winner choosing which of the other two he will face in the semifinals .. and which one Chaos will face next week on RAPTURE.”
(SFX: Crowd pops as ‘Show Them Your Backswing’ cues back up. LaRoque gives a short wave before turning back around and walking through the curtain.)
JIVE: “That’s not fair! You can’t go and let three greens a shot at a title!”
GHEORGHE: “If LaRoque thinks it’s a good idea, then I’m not going to argue with him … but up next we have the Exploding Turnbuckles match … and what a match this should be.”
JIVE: “Each turnbuckle is laced with low grade explosives!! The crowd might get a little closer to the wrestlers than they wanted … or at least closer to some body parts!”
GHEORGHE: “This match is pinfall only … and I’m sure that after hitting one of those turnbuckles it’ll be easy pickings for the winner.”
(CUTTO: Carl Jacobs who is standing in the ring very wary of the turnbuckles surrounding him. The logo for the match comes on screen.)
JACOBS: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for ONE FALL … and is the first quarterfinals match in the P©X Title Tournament! This will be an EXPLODING TURNBUCKLES MATCH UP!”
(SFX: Crowd explodes!)
JACOBS: “Introducing first …. Hailing from LAS VEGAS, NEVADA…..”
(CUEUP: ‘You Could Be Mine’ by Guns n’ Roses. The crowd explodes as blue and red pyro goes off on stage as Chaos steps through the curtain. He keeps his eyes focused on the ring as he walks down the rampway ignoring all the fans.)
JACOBS: “He stands seven feet tall and weighs 305 pounds ….. he is the FORMER NEW ERA TELEVISION CHAMPION ……………. CHAOS!!!!”
JIVE: “Look at Chaos! He can taste the blood of the Sinner already!”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos looks very intense … I can tell he wants to win this match tonight.”
JIVE: “Win? I think he just wants to toss the Sinner repeatedly into the turnbuckles until there’s nothing left!”
JACOBS: “And his opponent…..”
(CUEUP: ‘Metalingus’ by Altered Bridge. The lights in the arena dim as mist comes up from the rampway. Stepping through the curtain and lumbering slowly to the ring is the Sinner. He gets to the ring and slowly enters it, making sure not to shake the ropes.)
JACOBS: “He stands six foot nine and weighs 261 pounds … hailing from Tampa, Florida ….. he is THE SINNER!”
(SFX: Bell rings.)
JIVE: “Look at them both.. two of the larger competitors here in New ERA going one on one.”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos at 7 feet tall and Sinner at 6’9” are unusually large for our roster … but that doesn’t mean that they can’t put on as great a show. Chaos isn’t a stranger to these types of matches as he lost the Television title to Suicide in a Electrified Exploding Cage Match at DESTRUCITY almost a year ago.”
JIVE: “ Chaos and Sinner just burning holes through each other.”
GHEORGHE: “ Sinner takes off his hood and flips his hair back …. AND CHAOS CHARGES AT HIM AND BOOTS HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE! The Sinner goes down! Chaos on top of him now and he is drilling him in the face with lefts and rights! Chaos trying to open up the Sinner quickly here and now the referee is telling him to get off and allow the Sinner to finish taking off his attire!”
JIVE: “ Chaos got the first attack in .. but that might be a spark for the Sinner … and I don’t think he wants the Sinner to get any type of energy.”
GHEORGHE: “But Chaos comes back and rips off the rest of Sinner’s attire … and is clobbering him with forearm shots to the small of the back!”
JIVE: “ Sinner walking arched as those shots must really be hitting their target.”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos with a clothesline to the back of the head and Sinner goes to the mat!”
JIVE: “ Chaos is off to a hot start .. we’ve gotta see how well Sinner can come back from this … otherwise he’s toast … in more ways than one!”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos brings Sinner back to his feet by his head … and now he’s walloping him with European uppercuts! Chaos with a boot to the stomach ….. AND HE POWERBOMBS SINNER BACK DOWN! Chaos now stomping away at the arm of Sinner … and he brings it back towards him and is clutching it…. AND CHAOS WITH A KNEE DROP RIGHT INTO THE HEAD OF THE SINNER!”
JIVE: “ Sinner hasn’t had one opportunity yet to defend himself … its been Chaos all match so far.”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos yanks Sinner back to his feet with that bad arm … arm wringer and now Chaos is behind Sinner and wrenches that arm backwards …. Sinner tries to grab onto the head of Chaos …. AND CHAOS SENDS HIM INTO THE CORNER!”
(SFX: Crowd pops)
JIVE: “NO HE STOPPED HIMSELF!”
GHEORGHE: “ Sinner managing to put on the brakes before he hit those turnbuckles …. AND CHAOS GRABS HIM BY THE HEAD ….”
(SFX: BOOOM!! Crowd goes nuts!)
GHEORGHE: “HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! CHAOS JUST RAMMED THE HEAD OF THE SINNER INTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE AND THE DAMN THING EXPLODED!”
JIVE: “Both men went flying back into the center of the ring!!! Sinner’s face is darkened from that blast!”
GHEORGHE: “He could be blinded from that!”
JIVE: “And Chaos doesn’t seem to be done with him!”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos slowly getting back to his feet after being jarred by the blast from the turnbuckle …. And he gets down on his knees in front of the Sinner … AND IS NOW WAILING AWAY ON THE CHARRED HEAD OF SINNER!! AND SINNER IS BUSTED OPEN!”
JIVE: “Look at the red mixing in with the black caused by the explosion … Chaos is an artiste!”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos continuing to beat on the bloody head of the Sinner and the referee is finally stepping in to break it up. The referee separates the two and checks on the Sinner to make sure he can continue in the match.”
JIVE: “What do you mean ‘if he can continue’? He’s in a god damned P©X Quarterfinals match … he is meant to get his face bloodied! It would go against the whole concept of the title if he didn’t!”
GHEORGHE: “No matter, Nick. The health of our stars is more important than the …”
JIVE: “Hogwash! If you can’t stand the fire, get out of the kitchen!”
GHEORGHE: “The referee stepping out of the way as the Sinner gets to his feet … and the blood is coming from that wound heavily… The Sinner hobbles towards Chaos … and Chaos just sidesteps Sinner’s punch attempt.”
JIVE: “ Chaos can just play with him now … Sinner is probably knocked silly after everything he’s been through so far.”
GHEORGHE: “ Sinner turns around ….. AND CHAOS PICKS HIM UP …… AND DRIVES HIM INTO THE MAT WITH A SPINNING SIDE WALK SLAM! The ref goes down to make the count …. ONE ………. TW… Chaos just took his arm off Sinner!”
JIVE: “I told you, Gheorghe… Chaos isn’t going to be content until he sends the Sinner out in a body bag! Forget who wins the newcomer battle royal … CHAOS is the real winner here.”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos picks up the Sinner … Sinner with a weak punch to the chest of Chaos …. AND CHAOS NOW PICKS HIM UP WITH A STANDING GUILLOTINE CHOKE!”
JIVE: “ Sinner might be one of the bigger wrestlers in New ERA … but Chaos is the BIGGEST …. And he’s got Sinner off the ground!”
GHEORGHE: “The ref counts him …. And Chaos releases the Sinner who falls into the ropes!”
JIVE: “Not a good idea!”
GHEORGHE: “AND CHAOS WITH A CLOTHESLINE SENDS THE SINNER UP AND OVER THE TOP ROPE TO THE ARENA FLOOR!”
JIVE: “I pity the fool who has to face Chaos on the arena floor!”
GHEORGHE: “Thanks, Mr. T… Chaos now stepping through the ropes … he picks up the Sinner …… and he rolls him back in the ring?!?!”
JIVE: “I guess there is a God for the Sinner afterall!”
GHEORGHE: “All the damage Chaos could have done on the outside and he chooses to roll him back into the ring…”
JIVE: “There are still three more explosive turnbuckles INSIDE the ring, Gheorghe.”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos over to the Sinner now and picks him up off his feet … AND HE IRISH WHIPS HIM INTO THE CORNER!”
JIVE: “You’ve already exploded that one, Chaos!”
GHEORGHE: “ Sinner hits the corner hard … but thankfully that one was already set off and it doesn’t explode…… BUT CHAOS CHARGES IN AFTER HIM ………. AND NAILS HIM WITH THE FLYING BODY SPLASH!”
JIVE: “That’s the High Roller, Tom … one of Chaos’ specialties!”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos drags the Sinner back out to the center of the ring ….. AND NOW HE IS POINTING TO ANOTHER CORNER!”
(SFX: Crowd chants ‘CHAOS! CHAOS!’)
GHEORGHE: “CHAOS WITH AN IRISH WHIPPPPP……..”
(SFX: BOOOOOOOOOOM!)
JIVE: “BY GOD SINNER JUST HIT ANOTHER!”
GHEORGHE: “WAIT!!! Chaos catches him stumbling out …. OH GOD NO!! HE JUST IRISH WHIPPED HIM INTO THE OPPOSITE CORNER!!!!!”
(SFX: BOOOOOOOOOOM!!! Crowd is orgasming.)
JIVE: “The SINNER HAS HIT THREE EXPLOSIVE TURNBUCKLES IN THIS MATCH …. And he looks dead!”
GHEORGHE: “This is unnecessary!!! The Sinner stumbles forward slowly … AND CHAOS LIFTS HIM HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH OVER HIS HEAD!”
JIVE: “He’s going to guerilla press him onto the final turnbuckle!”
GHEORGHE: “CHAOS WALKS OVER ……………”
(SFX: BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!)
CROWD: “HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!”
GHEORGHE: “AND THE SINNER HAS BEEN SENT INTO ALL FOUR EXPLODING TURNBUCKLES!!! The Sinner is lying on the mat motionless after being propelled through the air by the blast!”
JIVE: “LOOK! EMTs are already coming down the rampway!”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos sees them …. AND HE IS WAVING HIS FINGER AT THEM!”
JIVE: “He’s STILL not done?!”
GHEORGHE: “I don’t know what Chaos is trying to prove here ….. but he has just ended the Sinner’s New ERA career most likely!”
JIVE: “He’s calling for the Chaos-Bomb!”
GHEORGHE: “He’ll be lucky if any of those turnbuckles can hold his and Sinner’s weight!”
JIVE: “ Sinner’s about 250 pounds lighter now anyway after having all that flesh blown off…”
GHEORGHE: “ Chaos places the Sinner on the top turnbuckle …. AND NOW HE’s UP THERE TOO …………….. CHAOS-BOMB!!!!! Chaos now standing up … AND HE IS STEPPING ON THE TORSO OF SINNER AS HE FLEXES HIS MUSCLES ….. ONE …………………. TWO …………………….. THREEEE!!!!”
(SFX: Bell rings.)
JACOBS: “The winner of this match … and moving on to the semifinals of the P©X Title tournament ……………….. CHAOS!!!!”
JIVE: “ Chaos with a more than convincing victory here tonight ….”
GHEORGHE: “If you ask me it was more than unnecessary!”
JIVE: “Oh god .. I can see how fun working shows that have P©X title matches is going to be…”
GHEORGHE: “Ladies and gentlemen… when we come back … we have the Newcomer Battle Royal … where not one … not two … but THREE men will move on to the P©X semifinals! We’ll be right back!”
