D: I think you missed a call, I heard it go off.
J: Oh yeah? [She had a towel wrapped around her as she walked to the dresser to get some clothes. She grabbed the phone on her way there and looked at it.] Oh well no one important. [She looked at him and smiled.] So what's on the agenda for tonight?
D: [He didn't return the smile, shrugging his shoulder.] I don't know, you are always better at planning something then me.
J: You okay? [She asked as she grabbed an over-sized T-Shirt and a pair of panties.] Are you hungry or anything?
D: Yeah I'm fine... [He said, glancing back to the television.] ...I'm not really hungry though.
J: Not hungry huh? [She said with a smirk as she slid her T-shirt on but didn't slide her panties on. She walkeed over to him and crawled on top of him.] For food at least right?
D: [How did the mood suddenly get ruined so deep he thought as he placed his hands on her hips.] What does that mean? [He knew what it meant for the most part he was spaced out.] Who called you?
J: [She raised an eyebrow as she leaned in and started kissing his neck.] No one important, let's just focus on this.
[The seem like the perfect idea when Darren looked at her, she was lying to him. Why was she hiding the fact that she Hunter was calling her? He knew why he hid the fact that he still talked to Bryce as much as he did, it had to mean something. For a moment, he was focusing on them, pressing his lips with hers, after a while it trailed off when he pushed her off of him.]
D: Hunter called you, didn't he?
J: [She sat up and stared at him.] Wait, what? [She raised her eyesbrows and shook her head.] So what if he did? We're just friends.
D: Okay...just friends, I can do that. [He sat up straight, starring away from her.] Then why didn't you say it was him calling?
J: I didn't think it mattered. What is the big deal anyway?
D: It matters because you haven't been telling me the honest truth about him. The fact he calls you? Weren't you just a few days ago giving me shit about Bryce?
J: There is a huge difference there Darren; Hunter and I weren't married [She brushed some wet strands of hair behind her ear.] Just don't get so upset, it's no big deal.
D: Too late, you really can't change that. [He said getting up from the bed.] You should of told me.
J: We're just friends Darren. [She swallowed hard and shook her head.] Besides since Joey wants nothing to do with me anymore and you and I have been at odds lately, I need someone else I can talk to.
D: And that someone else being Hunter? [He sighed, he knew he was part of the reason why Joey wasn't talking to either of them.] It's a little difficult to believe you.
J: I'm not the one with the past here Buddy. You know something i think it's really fucked up that I'm supposed to believe you about Bryce but you refuse to believe me about Hunter. [She shook her head angrily and also got off the bed.] That's bullshit you know?
D: [He stared at her for a moment before shaking his head.] Yeah I'm sure...well you know what. I'll be honest with you since you can't be with me. It's not easy, but I have been seeing Bryce lately. It's not for what you think, she isn't like that. We were lying to orselves if we thought we can make friendship work, we can't... I love you Jessica, I almost over step my bounderies with her, but that is why I'm not going to see her again. And that is why I know you don't need to talk to Hunter because you are going to mess up as well.
J: What is that supposed to mean Darren? Are you trying to say that I don't have any self-control? [She shook her head and glared a bit.] I can't believe that you can't fucking trust me. The only contact I've had with Hunter is through the phone.
D: Fine...if you say so. But I know you, I know myself. I know what it's like to be around an ex, and it isn't easy. [He shook his head.] I don't want you talking to him.
J: Are you kidding me? What is this, the nineteen-fifties and you can control who I do and don't talk to?
D: Are you fucking joking with me? [He shook his head.] I hid talking to Bryce for the same reasons are you are hiding talking to Hunter from me. Only you probably haven't seen it yet.
J: Oh my God Darren, I fucking love you; I broke up with Hunter because I wasn't in love with him but I am with you. When have I ever given you a reason to not trust me.
D: [He looked at her, a little surprised she'd ask him that.] Just now.
J: You know what, screw this Darren and screw you. [She shook her head.] Seriously.
D: Yeah, screw me. For knowing what can and might happen and you don't see it. You are getting worked up for what, for something.
J: I'm getting worked up because you are jumping to conclusions that are ridicculous.
D: You did the same and you were right! What's going to stop you from saying tomorrow I was right?
J: You know what? I'm done having this conversation with you Darren because we're going to keep going in the same circle.
[Without saying another word to him, Jessica threw on whatever clothes she could find and left the apartment. She forgot to take the car keys and opted to just walk. She didn't know exactly where she was going so she just kept walking. Outside the weather was aweful as rain and snow began to spit rapidly from the sky.
