Kayla Harlow Knix:
Oh my God I am sooo sorr... [She began to apologize but stopped mid-sentence as she saw it was Alex.] Oh it's you...
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I see you're having a good time. [He motioned to her drink as he grabbed another beer off the counter.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Yeah well sometimes you have to make your own fun. So cheers. [She held up her glass and took a long drink from it.] So here on a pretend date with Alanna?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Not that it's any of your business, but I came by myself. [He twisted the cap off the beer and took a drink.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Oh yeah? [She glanced over at Elijah talking with Jessica and rolled her eyes.] I wish I'd have been that smart.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
So, you brought along Mr. Personality. Great. Have fun with that. [He moved in the opposite direction away from where Elijah was.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She followed him.] Actually he brought me and come on put your hateful feelings about me aside for tonight. I don't know anyone else here besides Jessica and she's busy.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Then why don't you go spend time with her and your boyfriend.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Because they look a little busy. [She was having some trouble standing but tried to hide it as she looked at Alex.] Come on Alex, can't you just forgive me for tonight and then tomorrow you can go back to hating me?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
You know, Kayla, it's not that simple. You jerked me around and I have every right to be mad at you. I won't even get into the fact that you're covering for your lousy wanker boyfriend.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I didn't jerk you around on purpose. God how many times do I have to explain to you that I thought he and I were finished? [She shook her head and took another drink of her tea. She was becoming visibly drunk.] Alex you can't be mad at me forever.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
That still doesn't make up for the fact that you are with him and you let him smack you around. I know that black eye wasn't from your brother so don't try to hide it.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I don't want to talk about that. [She said as she placed her free hand on his arm. She leaned against the closest wall to keep her balance.] I want to talk about our friendship and how much I miss you.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
[He moved so that he was in front of her, looking down at her.] What about our friendship? It's going to be hard to have one when he's around.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I don't want to worry about him right now, he's busy. What matters right now is you and I. [She bit down on her lower lip and placed her drink down on a nearby table.] You can't tell me that you don't miss me?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I never said I didn't miss you. [He placed his beer beside her drink.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
If that's the case then why can't we just forget about all of the bullshit tonight and just have a good time?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I guess I can do that, but it's still going to take all my strength not to go over there and kick his ass.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She placed a hand on his cheek and gently moved his face so that he was looking at her.] Don't focus on him, just focus on me okay?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I still don't understand why you are with him. You shouldn't be with him.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Who then should I be with?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I don't know. Someone... anyone better than him, who will treat you the way you should be treated.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She stood on her tiptoes so she could whisper in his ear.] How about if tonight you treat me like you think I should be treated.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Kayla, are you sure? [He closed his eyes as he whispered into her ear.] I don't want to see you get hurt, especially if he finds out.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
You let me worry about him. [She whispered back.] Seriously Alex I am completely sure, I've wanted you since the day we met.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
[He took her hand and peered around the corner to make sure Elijah was too busy to notice them sneaking away together.] Come on. [He pulled her quickly up the stairs and out of view.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[They walked into an empty bedroom as Kayla shut the door behind them and locked it.] He'll never find us in here.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Good. Now we can forget all about him. [He pulled her into his arms and kissed her softly.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Forget about who? [She smirked at him and returned his kiss, putting her arms around his neck.] Are you sure this isn't going to complicate things with everything you're going through?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Can't make anything worse, can it? [He guided her slowly over to the bed as he ran his fingers through her hair.] We should forget about how complicated things are too.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I want nothing more than that. [They both sat down on the bed as she looked at him.] Are you sure you want to do this?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I think I should be the one asking you that. [He brushed a strand of hair out of her face and behind her ear.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She put her hand over his.] You know my answer and how I feel. I care a lot about you and am sure about this.
[He leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers. He wasn't 100% sure about what they were doing, or why. All he knew was that he wanted her just as much as she apparently wanted him. It changed his perspective on everything he thought he knew. She returned his kiss and immediately brought herself closer to him. This had been something she had wanted since the first day she arrived at Echo Park and it was finally happening. She brought her arms around his neck, holding him close. He leaned her back against the bed as he kissed down her neck, caressing her side gently. She tilted her head back and let out a small moan as she took her hands to the bottom of his shirt and slid it off of his body. Upon doing that she cupped his face in her hands and brought her face to his. She planted an eager kiss on him as she ran her hands up and down his back. He unzipped her hoodie slowly before helping her slip it off her shoulders and pulling her tank top up over her head. He moved his kisses to her neck again and along her collar bone as he moved over her. She exhaled deeply and managed a smile as she looked up into his eyes.]
Kayla Harlow Knix:
If I would've known you were this good, I'd have tried to seduce you my first day in Echo Park.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
[He laughed softly.] That wouldn't have been much fun. Too easy. Gotta make a guy work for it or earn it.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She laughed as well.] Well you earned it the first time you smiled at me.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
And what would you have done if I had said no?
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Drank myself stupid and gone home and cried into my pillow.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Well, good thing you didn't try to jump me right away. I'd hate to think I made you cry on the first day.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She laughed and gently caressed his cheek.] Alex I want you to know that I really do care a lot about you and right now there isn't any place I'd rather be.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
Me neither. [He closed his eyes and nuzzled her cheek softly with his nose.] I care about you a lot, Kayla.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Alex...[She closed her eyes as well and held him close. His name came out in a quickened breath.] I want us to be together.
[Unable to answer her and not wanting to hear her say anything more about it, he kissed her passionately. He wasn't sure he could listen to her say anything more about them being together without remembering their current situation. Her eyes opened widened at the passionate kiss, she took that as a sign that she should just quit talking and moved her hands down to his jeans. She undid them and slid them down a bit as she put more passion into their kiss. He grabbed the waist of her jeans and quickly undid them. He slid them down her thighs and pushed them the rest of the way to the floor carefully with his feet. She paused the kiss and stared at him a moment before going back into it full force. She reached behind her, undid her bra, and threw it to the ground. She then rested her hands on his shoulders and passionately kissed him. He caressed her side, sliding his hand up to massage her breasts gently as he kissed her again. He pulled away slowly after a minute and looked down at her.]

Are you sure?
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I've never been more sure about anything. [She exhaled gently.] I really want this. Are you sure though? I mean I know things are complicated right now for you and the last thing I want to do is complicate things more.

Kayla, I'm sure. [He smiled as he slid down and sat on the bed between her legs.] I just wanted to make sure you were sure.

[She pulled him down on top of her kind of forceably and began to kiss him again. This time she was taking charge a little bit as she managed to get him to lay down and crawl on top of him. She leaned over and began kissing him on the neck. He returned her kisses as he took hold of her panties and slowly pushed and pulled them down legs. She did the same with his boxers and tossed them to the floor. She then went back to kissing his neck, keeping her hands on his shoulders. She knew the next part was going to hurt and she was bracing herself for it. He rolled them over so he was on top of her. Are you okay? You're not in too much pain, are you? You should have told me.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I'm okay, I promise. [She buried her head in his shoulder once again and continued to hold on tightly.] Please keep going.
[He nodded a bit as he started to move slowly, taking his time with her and being as gentle as possible. He kissed her softly and caressed her cheek. Despite her pain, she began to get into it as she returned his kiss and began to kiss his neck once again. He slid his hand between their bodies and rubbed his thumb against her sensitive bud, trying to make her experience as pleasurable as possible. Her eyes widened as she felt a wave of excitement overcome her. In the midst of her excitement, she bit down on his lower lip kind of roughly. [She caressed his cheek and held him close.] I promise I am going to make things right, no matter what the cost.
[He kissed her as he started moving with her a little faster. He moaned into her mouth as he gripped her hip gently. She kept her tight hold on him as the pain was starting to return. She wasn't going to say anything though as she tightened her legs around his waist. Despite the pain she was still enjoying herself as her breaths quickened. Her hips moved in sync with his as she tossed her head back and let out a moan. He continued to stroke her with his thumb as he moved within her. He felt that he was coming close to release but he wanted to wait for her. He let his mind wander to mundane things, anything to keep his mind off how good she felt.]

I'm in a little bit of pain but nothing that two asprins won't cure. And I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to stop. I wanted you to be my first Alex and if it meant me being in a little bit of pain then it was all worth it.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
[He pulled the bedsheet over them and curled back up next to her. He rested his hand on the side of her neck, closing his eyes as he nuzzled his nose against her cheek.] Kayla, I'm glad that you don't regret it.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
I couldn't regret it. [She exhaled peacefully and snuggled up against him.] What about you though? Does any part of you regret this?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
[He was silent for a moment before he shifted a bit, pulling her closer.] Not for a moment.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
So...Where do we go from here? [She asked as she just enjoyed being in his arms.] I mean I can't go back to just friends after this.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I don't know. If things weren't complicated before, they certainly are now... You have a boyfriend; one that doesn't deserve you.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She turned so she was facing him.] I'll find some way to get Elijah out of my life. I don't know how but I'll do it.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
[He wrapped his arm around her waist as he spoke calmly.] I'm not going to let him hurt you again. If he touches you again, I will rip him apart.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
He won't touch me again, I promise. [She paused before asking him this question.] So what are you going to do about Bella?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
She doesn't really care for me the way I wanted her to. There is no sense in delaying the inevitable. She's on the edge, but she's not going to choose me.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Does this mean that maybe and quite possibly we could...[She looked at him and bit down on her lower lip.] Be together?
Alexander Charles Knightly:
I'd like to think that we could, yes. [He caressed the side of her neck gently as he gazed at her.] There are a few things in the way right now, but I think once they are gone, we could.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
Then my next order of business is to get rid of Eli. [She leaned forward and kissed him on the lips.] I don't know how I'm going to do it but one way or another he's gone.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
You need to be careful. I don't want to be worrying about you, wondering what he's going to do to you. Tell me that you won't do anything when you two are alone. In fact, I don't want you to ever be alone with him again.
Kayla Harlow Knix:
[She looked at him and nodded.] I promise, I won't ever be alone with him again. [She sighed as she thought about the time.] You know as much as I hate to do this, we should probably head back downstairs. The last thing I need is for Elijah to come looking for me.
Alexander Charles Knightly:
We've got time. [He brushed some hair behind her ear.] He won't find us up here anyway. I locked the door.
[The two of them laid together for a while longer before heading back downstairs. The whole time Kayla kept thanking God that she and Alex had hooked up and that it seemed as though it would be so much more. Now all she had to do was get rid of Elijah, no matter what the cost.]
