*POW Power Supply*
*October 6th, 2007*
This past week we saw some amazing matches. In what is being called one of the biggest upsets of the year, Lestat pinned World Champion Reck Maverick after interference from Dan Harvey. Harvey and Maverick have been shooting remarks back and forth and now Harvey took it to the next level. Maverick was said to be quite angry after Harvey cost him his match and heard saying "This isn't over." It will have to wait as next week we will see Reckless Storm reuniting for at least one night to take on the New Flanchise Players.
We crowned new POW Tag Team Champions in the New Flanchise Players, Josh Eagles and Flap Flanagan. After the match Flanagan attacked his partner by smashing his head with the newly won tag team championship belt. What explainations will Flap have for his actions?
Shawn Stevens successfully defended his UWL World Championship not once but twice this past week, against both of the Stoned Raiders. Stevens was actually considered the underdog in this match due to his track record in defending the UWL championship outside of UWL. Stevens POW contract is set to expire in 2 weeks at No Fear and it is uncertain if he will re-sign with the company. He has shown distaste for POW in recent weeks but now that the weekly tapings are in his hometown, who knows when the Sensational One will show up to shock and awe as he is known to do.
Earlier in the night Nick Pickles and Bubba were harassing Big Ci's girlfriend Kristen in the back causing him to leave his match to go save her. Ci was subsequently thrown from the building after Rich Morrison said the Valor champion cannot act like that. In Ci's match, the returning Jason Coughlin beat King Cobra. Coughlin should have earned some points for that and may see a championship opportunity in his near future. Cobra was seen holding his head after the Ny-quil from Coughlin and is believed to have a concussion and thus will be left off upcoming shows until cleared by the POW medical staff.
Zeke Inferno beat Omega Storm to become number one contender for the Television championship. Next week Inferno gets his shot at Dan Harvey. Reck Maverick and Omega storm were formerly a team and seen interacting earlier in the night, the two of them both have a vested interest in this match and who knows what events might take place.
Sycho and Dan Savage sent the Order onto the inactive list after their match this past week. Savage and Sycho are both making names for themselves on the roster and both may see their names moving up the card in the coming weeks.
POW would like to welcome Spike Lambert, Keiji Inoki, and Lucha Wecha to the roster. These three will all be seeing action and be examined by Jay T. Nitro for their unofficial "rankings" on the POW roster.
Few tickets are still availible for this week's Road to No Fear show in Chicago, IL. Check ticketmaster.com or the POW website, www.powrestling.vze.com for more information reguarding all upcoming events.
