"Mouth is alive with juices like wine; And I'm
hungry like the wolf." -- Duran Duran
[[ GDW RP #1:
Everyone has a story. ]]

[
Beyond the pale Moonlight ]:
I have been in the business for eight years or
so now and I always play the same kind of character. So now in this
fed I have a fresh start and a fresh character. I hope that I will
have a good time here and that it, along with my passion, will stay
alive through the sands of time. Not everything is 100% with this
layout and what not as my partner and I need to finish up some last
minute things. So forgive me if the links don't work. Also my partner
Drake decided we would write this RP together. The second half of
this RP is all his writing. We thought that if we both put effort
into this RP it would count for... something. So here it is.
[
Stalking the Prey ]:
It's their first event in GDW and already the
owners see some kind of potential as the Wolfe's are contenders
for the Tag Team Championship. An extremely prestigious honor for
any tag team let alone an absolutely new group.
[
The Kill ]:
"I'll be there." There was a huge party that was
going on that weekend. The graduating members of the football team
were having one giant party. Six of them in all. There was Reggie
Olson who alternated between Fullback and Halfback. Steve Ryan who
took over a Wide Receiver position. Coincidently enough Steve's
brother Brian took on the role for the other Receiver. Jay Pitts
played every position on the offensive line, but usually stuck with
Right Tackle. Finally there was Greg Connor, he was really fast
for how big he was, the coached opted for him to play defense as
a Linebacker. In hindsight, it was an excellent idea.
The party was going to be huge. Olson's family
was already going to be gone for a business trip and there was going
to be plenty of booze. Logan wasn't usually a big drinker. As starting
Quarterback, he liked to keep his head clear and make sure he was
fast on the snap. But this was graduation. There where no more games
till College and everybody likes to let loose every now and then.
The parties where wild too. Everybody who was
part of the High School was there. A lot of people brought dates
from other schools and there where even some surprises from people
that have graduated already. Drake Wolfe, number eighty one, opening
Wide Receiver for the Mercer Island High School, the older brother
of Logan Wolfe was one of them.
Drake is a year older than Logan and henceforth
had taken the year off to vacation in Europe. It was the Wolfe brothers
dream to attend College together and dominate the football games.
It bothered both of them that they each had to play a year without
the other. It didn't really bother Drake though; Most of the Varsity
team was on Logan grade. Besides, those that where in Drakes grade
would be there anyway. Drake got accepted at Washington State University
on a football scholarship. Along with two other teammates. Logan
got accepted along with six of his teammates. And that was the dream.
When Drake showed up at the party Logan, half
buzzed, spotted his older brother instantly and stumbled over to
him grabbing a fresh can of beer with him along with his own.
"Big brother! You made it!" He said, with just
a slightly slurred voice. He hands the fresh beer to Drake.
"I wouldn't miss my little brothers graduation
party! I see I am running late.
"Nah, don't worry about it! How was Europe?"
"It's beautiful there. The culture is so different
there it's outrageous, but never mind that for now come with me."
The two walk outside of the mansion like home
and begin to walk down the street.
"How much have you had to drink?" Drake asks his
brother.
"Only a couple," He lies. Drake knows this and
gives Logan a raised brow, "Okay fine six, why?"
"Well this goes against my better judgment but
...here!" Drake throws a set of keys and Logan barely reacts in
time to catch them. Just then he notices an early seventies model
maroon Chevy Camaro with white racing stripes on the hood parked
behind Drake.
"No way! It's even the Z28 Model with the engine
upgrade! Maroon and white: Our High School Colors. Clever." Logan
rushes over to the driver side and hops in. He admires the black
leather seats and custom interior for a while before starting the
engine. The radio turns on quietly, but Logan's ear goes straight
to the engine. "Listen to that baby purr!"
Drake enters the passenger side of the car, "Yeah
well I was thinking its going to be our college colors too, so why
not!"
"Yeah about that.." Logan pauses for a moment.
"I got accepted into Notre Dame.."
Drake becomes pale and speechless. He gave up
a year of his life so they can play ball together at Washington
State University. But he also knows that his baby brother's heart
was always set on Notre Dame. And why not? It is one of the most
prestigious football colleges in America.
"Look, I haven't made any decisions--"
"Why not? Notre Dame is a great School. You should
go." Drake gets out of the car and walks away back to the party.

Chapter 2.
Every city has a particular place where you can
drive and just take a look at the city from high into the distance.
Logan drove his girlfriend up to that place in his new car. His
car that his brother gave him, just before his heart was broken.
They both sit on a log in front of the car staring into the city.
Minutes pass without either one of them saying a word.
"How am I suppose to make this decision?" Logan
finally breaks the silence.
"You must do what you think is right, of course."
His girlfriend responds.
"Well thank you Obi-Wan, but that isn't helping
anything right now!"
"What do you want me to say? You can't decide
on whether or not to leave your entire life behind for some school.
It doesn't seem that difficult of a decision to me."
"It's not that easy! This isn't just 'some school'.
It's Notre Dame. One of the highest class football schools around,
and I got accepted. How can I turn that down? Why are you being
so selfish?"
"Selfish? I'm selfish? How can you just leave
your friends? Your teammates? Your brother? Your girlfriend? You
are leaving us all behind. And that Logan, that's what selfish."
She stands up and whips the dirt from her butt and begins to walk
away. Tears running down her face.
Ashley and Logan have known each other since they
where kids. Her family lived next door to the Wolfe's and there
birthdays just so happen to fall on the same day. Ashley spent most
of her free time with the Wolfe's as her parent where away a lot
and she didn't much care for the housekeeper that was left in charge
of her.
All the stereotypes are there. She grew up with
boys she became a tomboy. Logan became attracted to that. She could
hold her own. She was strong and confident. In her younger years
she too played football. And in High School she began to play softball.
She refused to be a cheerleader. She thought it was degrading. The
entire football team harassed Logan about dating a non cheerleader.
Especially Senior year when he became star quarterback.
It was tradition. The star quarterback was intended
for the head cheerleader. There where no other options. But Logan
didn't care. He had loved Ashley since he was a kid, he wasn't going
to let anything change that. Not even at prom when the Head Cheerleader,
Mary Rogers, was elected queen. Of course Ashley didn't like it
much. Logan and Mary never finished their dance.
Logan was making his way back to the party when
he heard the radio DJ announce free tickets to a wrestling event
that was taking place not too far away. Logan never really watched
professional wrestling before, nor has he ever been into it. Freshman
year he tried for the schools wrestling team and won a few awards
but never went back to it. Caller number seven would win free tickets.
Anything free is worth checking out. He tried a few times and failed
but on the third try the phone rang until someone picked up.
"Who's this?"
"My name is Logan. Logan Wolfe. Am I number seven?"
"That's right Logan you just won two tickets to
see a live wrestling event in the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington!
Where are you from Logan?
"Seattle. Well, Mercer Island.."
"Less than an hour drive! You've won the tickets,
buddy! You excited?"
"Hell yes!"
"Stay on the line and I'll get your information."
At least something good happened to him today.
He won tickets to see a live wrestling event. The night is still
rather young. There's nothing else to do but to go back to the party.
Logan walks back in to see that the party is finally in its prime.
Young women are half nude playing poker. A few people a passed out
on the couch, one if which is being drawn on by a few guys. Red
and white plastic cups are scattered all over the floor, the banisters,
and speakers. The music has a hard dance beat playing and lots of
people are dancing in the middle of the room. Logan is looking for
one person: his brother.
Logan makes his way from room to room and sees
all sorts of crazy and illegal things going on. The far room of
the house has different music playing: Rock. Seattle is well known
for a few bands to come from the city and Logan is one major fan
of most of those bands. The room is unfortunately a little dark,
and full of smoke. There are different color Christmas lights loosely
hung from the walls. A strobe light in one corner adds a little
something to the room, but it's mostly ignored from the black lights.
There in the corner of the far wall is the man Logan is looking
for. He walks right to him and asks the two ladies to leave.
"Oh look, my baby brother back from his wrestling
event already." Obviously a bit confused and drunk.
"What? What are you talking about?"
"Don't give me that. I heard you won those tickets.
And you didn't even invite me."
"Drake. I just won those tickets ten minutes ago.
It's still the same day."
Drake looks around for a moment and finds his
beer and takes a sip. "I knew you wouldn't want to go without me."
"You really want to go?" Logan is surprised. He
was planning on maybe selling the tickets, but if his brother wants
to go then maybe it might be worth going.
"Of course I do. I caught it on TV once a while
back. It wasn't all that bad. When is it?"
"Tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? Well I better get going then. Drive
me home?"
"Let's go."

Chapter 3.
The curtains open and the sun shine right into
Drake's eyes which instantly wakes him up. He sees it's Logan that
opened the curtain and disturbed his sleep. "What time is it?"
"It's eleven. We've got to get ready soon."
"For what?"
"For the wrestling show."
"What?" He begins to sit up as if he's ready to
get out of bed.
"Remember I won two tickets yesterday and I want
to get there early. You need to get showered and dressed and then
we can go to lunch."
"I don't want to go to some stupid wrestling event.
Take Ashley or something." He grabs a pillow and sets it on his
face to try and block the sun, and lays back down.
"You said last night you wanted to go. You said
you liked wrestling." He grabs the pillow from drake and throws
it to the other side of the bed.
"I was drunk, I just didn't want to fight about
the college thing."
"Tell you what big brother, you promise to go
to this thing with me and I wont bring it up all day."
"Okay.. Just give me a minute I'll be out soon."
An hour later Drake finally makes his way downstairs where he is
showered, dressed and ready to take on the day. "Lets go get some
lunch."
Most of the day seems to drag as both brothers
are anticipating the event. Neither know what to expect from the
event. Logan of course drove down there and most of them just started
talking about what they thought would happen. They where wrong.
Wrestling gets a lot of grief from non-fans. Like it being fake.
Or it just being a mans soap opera. Quite frankly Drake and Logan
half thought the same things. That night they knew that no matter
what anyone had to say wrestling was the greatest thing either of
experienced. It was then and there that they decided that they where
not going to Notre Dame or Washington State. They where not going
to go to college on a football scholarship. They wanted to wrestle.
They trained hard. If they where not eating or
sleeping they where learning to wrestle. The amateur wrestling helped
a little. The football training helped more. They added a little
of everything they knew to there own style of wrestling. They found
a trainer to help then in the ring. In only six short months they
trained themselves to be wrestlers. The looked all over for an opportunity
to wrestle in an event worth showing up to. It wouldn't be another
six months of going from city to city but they finally got a contract.
The GDW, or Global Division of Wrestling. Neither
brother knew exactly what that meant. But they knew it meant one
thing. They finally had a real wrestling job. Without hesitation
they both signed their contracts.
"I don't know, baby, I think this is a bad idea."
Ashley, Logan's girlfriend stays with him at the hotel before the
night of the event.
"Why not?"
"Your just so inexperienced.."
"Babe, I have been training for this moment for
the past year of my life. I can't back out now."
"But, you have to go up against four other people.
Two of which are champions already!"
"I know, but what would that say if Drake and
I beat them? The champions. The supposed two greatest wrestlers
the GDW has to offer. It would sky rocket our careers. Even they
are not the tag champions, I think it would prove to everyone that
this is something that I really want. This isn't just some game
to us."
"I'm not denying that at all. I am just worried
that you are going to get hurt. I don't know what I'd do."
"Listen I've got to discuss some things with Drake.
You make yourself as comfortable as you can here and I will be back."
Logan walks over to Drake's hotel room, which
is only one room over. The door opens as if Drake knew he'd be seeing
his brother. Logan walks in to see different fabrics scattered on
the ground, "What's all this?"
"Baby brother, now that we are in the big leagues
I thought it would be wise that we had some threads to prove it."
"What are you getting at?"
"Our wrestling gear, of course."
"I thought we would just wear what we always wore."
"Here, this is yours."
Logan opens the bag that was just handed to him
and inside is revealed a pair of wrestling tights. Mostly black
with a red and white wolf design on one side. Also in the bag is
a matching pair of arm bands and gauntlets. A set of shin guards
lay at the bottom of the bag. The colors match the tights but on
the top is a shape of a W.
"Team Wolfe right, little brother?"
"This is amazing. How did you learn to do this?"
"It's not really terribly hard. But I figured
if we are the next tag team champions we should go out there in
style. But you got to wear your letterman jacket to the ring to
get the full effect."
"Wow, I just can't believe this all happening.
Seems like yesterday we went to that wrestling even back home."
"You miss it?"
"All the time. I often wonder if this was the
right decision to do this. There's no way I could have gone to Notre
Dame."
"Look the Notre Dame thing is the past. And there's
no reason why you can't go back there some day. But now we need
to focus on our match tomorrow."
"We don't know much about these people, how are
we supposed to be prepared?"
"By doing what we do best baby brother, by being
a Wolfe! Athleticism is on our blood. We have always excelled at
everything we do. Why should this be any different?"
"You're right Drake. Lets get some sleep and finish
this discussion tomorrow."
Logan walks back over to his room with his new
gear and places it on the chair near the door. It is then that he
and Ashley go to bed together.

Chapter 4: [ "Opportunity
is the key to open the door of the Hall of Fame. After opening it
with the keywords "I CAN" and pursuing the concrete set of goals
with self-confidence and perseverance, you will find the VICTORY
chair to relax and enjoy." ]
The dinging is echoing throughout the environment.
Drake see's himself with his arm raised, his brother standing on
the other side of the referee, there two hands raised in victory
after the first night of Global Division of Wrestling. They are
the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championships,
after only a night in the federation they have already defeated
the current World Champion, another Champion, some of the biggest
stars in this industry and they have already gained an opportunity
at the Tag Team Championships.
Drake raises his fist with a flexing motion, fireworks
blasting off around them. His eyes zone in at the prettiest girl
in the stands, he winks to his brother and nod his head at her.
Logan laughs and shakes his head, he knows his brother well, with
a fake rolling of his eyes. Drake has always been the one to fiddle
with multiple women, never one to really settle down, while Logan
had the steady girlfriend that he's known since childhood. This
was an especially great insult to the self proclaimed ladies men
they had just beaten, here they were self proclaimed ladies men,
and here Drake was getting the hottest woman in the crowd. He leaned
walked up to her and grabbed her, licking his lips he pulled her
into his mouth, seductive kissing in front of a loudly cheering
crowd.
It was at that moment he felt the drool coming
off of his mouth, his tongue darted back into his mouth, and he
sit up to the ridiculous and annoying sound of the alarm clock.
It was the alarm clock that he had heard in his dream, the acting
victorious sound of the ring bell. He sit for a minute aggravated
that it was but a dream but a sly smile spread across his face seconds
later, for his dream was about to become reality..
Drake shuffled the covers off of him and onto
the floor. He had slept in his jeans and T-shirt the night before,
always did. He liked to be prepared in the morning, and if that
meant sleeping in his clothes and showering the night before, he
did that. He did not want to waste the time on showering today,
he peered at himself in the mirror and slicked back the short layer
of hair on the top of his head, faded with a number two guard, a
slight bit of gel so it might shine for the ladies. He lifted up
his T-shirt and flexed his abs, punched them twice to show there
hardness, before flexing his arms in the mirror. "Hello
beautiful.."
he reached over towards the coat rack and tossed on his letterman's
jacket. It was time to go get Logan, it was time for the pre-meditation
that had guided them through their successful career as High school
Football students, the very same motivation and pre meditation,
that seen them get accepted into some of the most notable colleges
for football, the very same, that got them the contracts in the
GWD and the very same that would in time give them the right to
fight for the World Tag Team Championships.
Chapter 5: [ "Open
every door of opportunity, and if it appears to be locked, kick
it down." ]
The brothers walked outside, Logan still whipping
his eyes clean of sleepy sand. Drake with a smile on his face as
his little brother tried to wake himself up. Logan's girlfriend
who was coming to the event alongside him for the motivational support
she always offered was doing the same. Drake always pushed his little
brother, sometimes harder than necessary, but Drake took pride in
doing so. He wanted his brother to be successful, he took the role
of an older brother seriously, and he wanted to fill the void that
the boys had since their father passed away three years prior. He
pushed him a lot harder since then, and many people thought the
guys would lose their way, as their father was there rock. But like
they say, what we survive will only make us stronger, and the boys
did just that. There bond grew stronger, and they grew stronger
together as well. Team Wolfe was inseparable, even in death, and
this undivided attitude is what will lead them to an unchallenged
amount of success in the world of Global Wrestling.
"Long night, brother?" He laughed as he ripped
the keys from his younger brother's hands. Logan's girlfriend rolled
her eyes as Logan chuckled at his brother's early rising.
"Well considering you just woke me up at the ass
crack of dawn, I'd say short night, is more like it." Logan
points towards the darkened sky, the dawn still yet quite to
reach its fullness, "It's not even morning yet brother! The
night's still on."
Laughing, Drake walked over to the driver side
of the car, "I bought this thing for you and you've been hogging
it ever since I gave you the keys. So since you two mourning
doves are yet to wake yourselves up, I am going to do the
driving."
Logan nodded, he did not argue with his brother
wanting to drive the car. He knew what this was really about: Drake
was not driving because Logan was not awake enough yet, and they
were not leaving early as if the arena was actually that far away.
Drake was about to give that motivational speech that he always
did. Logan, acted like it was a pain in his ass, just to spice Drake
up even more - in reality, both brothers new they enjoyed these
moments. It always prepared them for the upcoming events; it would
prepare them for tonight.
The car roared as he started the engine and minutes
later they were on their way down the highway towards their first
major wrestling match and there first contenders match. Drake's
face turned serious and Logan's did too. Logan's girlfriend said
nothing in the back of the seat, she knew this was their time, she
simply sit and listened. She knew the brothers and what they can
accomplish and she too enjoyed these moments.
"Alright brother, you know what this is really
about. Six months ago we would have never even dreamed of this.
Yet, here we are! Tonight we get a chance to wrestle some of the
biggest names in this industry. We get a chance to wrestle some
of the biggest names in this particular business. The administration
of the GDW, they know our worth. The fans, they are ready to see
us step into the ring. The whole world is ready to watch Team Wolfe!
And you know why?" Logan starts to speak but Drake continues his
one way conversation. Logan grins slightly and listens intently.
Ashley covers her mouth and giggles slightly in the back.
"Because we are the All-American Team Brother! No worries for
you Ashley because we all know Logan is a one man lady, but all
the ladies want to be with us. All the men, they want to be us.
All the siblings wish we were there brothers, all the parents
wish we were there kids! We reach out and we touch everybody in
the world. Everyone loves The Wolfe Brothers and it does not get
better than us. There is no one greater, there is no one more
athletically gifted, and that is why tonight as we step into the
ring all of America, all of The World, is going to tune in to
see what The Wolfe's can pull together and together the world
will celebrate with us as we make one more step towards being
the most celebrated and athletically gifted tag team in the
history of this industry. Everything we do is unforgettable,
everything we touch becomes untouchable, we are the best of the
best and success is the only thing we ever will know. Failure is
not an option, failure is not even a possibility for us, we were
born winners, it's in our blood and you know what that means? It
means a sad day for our opponents, because when you are in the
ring with born winners, there are no other voids to be filled
but the position of losers. That is the unfortunate fate of
those who step into the ring with us on our opening night"
Logan is nodding intently. One would think that
the boys sound cocky, that this is way over the top, but this is
truly how it was high school. It's truly how it was going to be
in college. It is how it will be in the Global Division of Wrestling.
These boys are the living, breathing, definition of success and
nothing they do will fail, and they cannot be stopped.
"You remember when we were little, Logan?"
"Sure, I remember. We had an amazing
childhood."
"No, Logan. You aren't letting me finish. Do
you remember what Dad said? You remember what he told us?"
Logan looks up. Their father taught and told them
many things. Many things that they incorporate into their success,
things that guided them through high school and things that they
would take with them into the future. They held his words dearly
as it was this motivation that pushed them harder than anything.
They wanted to live up to their fathers expectations, he was perfection,
and they too strived to be just like him. They strived to make him
proud and as he motivated them beyond the grave. Drake took the
opportunity to remind his brother of these words of encouragement
in every pre-meditation incident. Today would be no different and
he had the perfect quotation in reference to what they would face
tonight.
"Dad told us to open every door of
opportunity.."
Logan nodded and grinned. The two brothers heard
this quote a lot of times. Logan finished the next part, "And if
it appears to be locked."
They grinned together and balled up there fist,
touching knuckles, they finished in unison "Kick it down.."
Drake nodded with a solemn look in his eyes.
Remembering every word his father said, as if he was still
whispering it into his ear today. "I have a feeling tonight our
opponents are going to be rooting against us. I have a feeling
this entire federation is thinking that we Wolfe brothers are a
joke. They are thinking that we are going to be a fluke like I
know others have been coming through here. They think we are the
jokers in this mix. That the real match is between the other two
teams, the teams who have been here, and have been impressive.
They don't think that we have it in us. I know that brother, you
know that. It's no secret.. but you know what the secret is? The
secret is, me, you, and Pa, we know something they don't know.
And that is going to be our success that is going to be our
secret weapon, we know just how successful we can be and we know
that we do have it in us. So, let them under estimate our
strength, and tonight when the lights go off for them, the
bright lights will be shining on us, and the entire world will
know that there is a new definition for tag team: Team Wolfe!
Tonight we take our fathers words, we take this opportunity that
everyone believes is a locked door in our way, and we open it.
Tonight we not only kick through the door of opportunity but we
kick through everyone who stands in our way."
Chapter 6: [ Today's
preparation determines tomorrow's achievement.
]
Team Wolfe arrived at the arena a short bit later.
They did not say another word after the closing statements in the
car. They let that sink into their heads, they knew it would be
the core of their beginnings in the Global Division of Wrestling.
They knew it would be the reason for their success. They would unlock
the doors of opportunity, or break through them, and it all started
tonight. It all started right now, right here, where they were standing.
They looked up at the arena. They were the first
to arrive, the crew was yet to even set up the ring. The fans were
yet to show up out front in hopes of seeing their heroes and villains.
The merchants and arena staff was yet to do their part. They were
not even sure they could get inside yet. That did not matter to
them. They had to see it, they had to breathe it, and they had to
put themselves into the environment. Just like in High school, they'd
stand on the football field hours before the game, before practice,
before the team, before the fans. During away games they'd drive
out to the away fields and toss the ball back and forth in the new
surroundings. They would think about it, dream about it, but more
importantly they would envision it - as they knew with that vision
it would be brought to life. They believed showing up early was
a key to success, they liked to know and feel there environment,
to get an idea of what they would be surrounded in. Like animals
in the wild, like wolfs, this team of Wolfe's would adapt to any
wilderness they were put into and they would survive by doing so.
They paced around the outside of the arena. Bending
over and filling the dirt of the ground in between their hands,
staring at themselves in the windows on the arena doors. When they
were finally allowed in they walked down into the empty arena, even
without the ring, and they raised their arms and took a deep breath
- sucking in the air of the arena, the smell. They observed the
lights, sit in the chairs. Rather than throwing a football and running
plays, they ran small fake moves on each other. Fake clothesline,
tag in and outs, and like closing off the hours before the game
with that long vision of a touchdown pass, they pictured there special
moves and the referee's count of the one, two, three.
The brothers nodded. They remained quiet still,
for they needed no words to know what was next. They needed no trash
talk or hatred for their opponents, they needed no gold or former
achievements in the business, all they needed were the bond of brothers,
all they needed and knew was success was inevitable. All they needed
was to get a fill of the environment, to get a sweet taste of what
was to come. They have prepared like none other. They are motivated,
they are naturally gifted, they are prepared, they are Team Wolfe
and absolutely nothing will stop them from achieving victory on
this night.
