Having surgery on Thursday.... Hey everyone! I missssssss you all!!! I have been laid up in the bed for the past 6 days with a high fever and extremely swollen abdomen, soooo, I went to the doc on Monday and had an abdominal ultrasound, followed by something called a Disida Nuclear Scan (Yup, they shot me up with radioactive isotopes...I feel kinda like Peter Parker,lol). At any rate, my gallbladder, which under normal circumstances should be about the size and shape of a fig, is more the size and shape of an overripe pomegranate...NOT good. Doc said it has to come out immediately...or, at least as immediately as my insurance will allow, which means I hafta wait till Thursday. So, I am scheduled for surgery at 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning to get my gallbladder removed. Barring any difficulties, this should be an outpatient surgery, doc says I should be fully recovered by the following Monday! isn't that awesome?! (Back in the eighties my mom had hers out, was in hospital for 3 weeks, took her nearly 2 months to recover...medicine has sure come a long way since then!) Anyhoo, I will be back soonnnnnnnn!!!
