"Offer of a Lifetime"

The scene opens in Kansas City, Missouri, at RWA headquarters. Inside in the office of Andrew Foley, we see Sara Pettis sitting in front of Andrew Foley's desk, waiting for the Owner of RWA. As she waits for him, she notices a cartoon drawing sitting out in the open on the desk. She reaches across and picks it up, and examines it. It's a drawing of a saber-tooth tiger, obviously female. It looks like a character that would be in the Ice Age movies. As she looks at it, she can't help but feel like something about it is familiar. She hears voices outside the office, it's obviously Andrew Foley's and his receptionist. Sara puts the drawing back on his desk, and waits for Andrew to enter.

"Ah, Ms. Pettis," Andrew says as he enters the office, "I'm glad you were able to make it. I have some great news for you, in, and out of the ring."

"Well, lay it on me Andy." Sara says.

"Great, straight to business, I like that," Foley says, smiling as he sits down on the other side of the desk, "I take it you've seen this sitting here on my desk," pointing at the drawing, "It was sent to me by 20th Century Fox. It's a character they're planning for the next sequel for Ice Age. And they have someone in mind for the role."

"I take it you're talking about me." Sara responds.

"Yes. They sent me a description of the character, it fits you perfect." he tells her.

"How do you mean? Why do they want me?" Sara asks.

"Well, the casting director has seen you on Reloaded, they know your personal story. The character is Leona, a young female saber-tooth that rivals with Denis Leary's Diego after the main party realizes that she's stalking them with the intent of turning Manny the Mammoth and Sid the Sloth into a meal for her herd. But after a scene where she "wrestles" Diego and ends up pinning him, she admits that she really doesn't want to kill anyone, and as it turns out she's actually a vegetarian, but hunts because she's the adopted daughter of the pack's leader, and is trying to get his approval. On top of it all is the pressure the character is facing from her father to carry on the herd's traditions being that she is one of only a few female Saber-tooths left as the numbers of their species, and many others are obviously diminishing after the end of the ice age. Anyway, after she beats Diego, and confesses to the three that she has no intention of killing anybody, she's invited into the group. Over the course of the movie she and Diego begin having one-ups matches, where Diego tries to convince Manny, Sid, Leona, and himself that first time when she pinned him was a fluke. This eventually leads to a romantic comedy sorta thing like the Manny and Elle characters had in the second Ice Age. It all ends with the group getting cornered by Leona's herd and Leona and her father fighting to determine if the herd will get to kill and eat Manny and Sid, or let them live. It's a perfect fit for you. And I have to admit, you being in a movie like this, which obviously solely based on the first two movies, is going to be a huge success will do wonders for RWA. If you agree to this part, we'll start pushing you immediately. I can't go into the details of what we're planning right now, because we still have to work it all out. But I can guarantee that you'll start getting more air time, and big name matches."

"Well, when you put it like that, I don't see how I could refuse," Sara says, her eyes beaming and a wide smile, "I'll do it!"

"Well, I have to admit that it isn't that simple either." Foley tells her, "They do have a few, requirements though."

"What kind of requirements?" Sara asks.

"Well...." Foley begins to say, "One is who they want to play your character's Father."

"Who do they have in mind?"

"Will Schorg." he tells her. "And they want you two to record all the scenes where they appear on screen with each other...together. So that they can take how you two react and use it to make the animations."

Sara's heart sinks. "You're kidding, right?"

"I wish I was, it'd make things a whole lot simpler. They seem to think the tension you guys have is an act for RWA."

"I can talk to my step-sister, and she can talk to him, but I can't promise anything," Sara tells Andrew, "I take it you guys haven't told him?"

"We're going to let you handle that. Listen, I'll talk to them, and see if we can find a way around this if Will says no. But we're looking at this all gloom and doom. Who's to say he wouldn't say yes?"

"Me....I honestly think if he knew that by not saying yes, it'd keep me from getting this opportunity, he'd say no in a heart beat." Sara admits, "But I'll try. This is too big to let die already."

"Thats all we can ask, the ball is in his court. Thanks for coming, I'll be keeping in touch with you over the next few weeks."

With that, Andrew stands up, as does Sara. They shake hands, and Andrew sees her out of the office...

Figures, I get the offer of a lifetime, and it requires being civil with Will Schorg. Thats just awesome. The problem is, I know I could be civil if I have too, it's Will that always seems to have the problem. If it was anything else, I'd probably just let it go, but theres so much that can come from this. Not only the money and fame, but what it can do for my wrestling career, and what it can do for my future. Being in this movie will allow me to get into the Screen Actors Guild, and give me access to the best insurance policy available. Not like I'd need it in the immediate future anyway, considering I'm probably going to be facing Dameon at least a few more times in the coming weeks, and no matter how much Dameon talks about how dangerous he is.

Thats just so generic Dameon. 'Oh, I'm dangerous' or 'Oh, I'm a monster, don't mess with me.' Come on man, I know you can come up with something better. Same with the generic sexist comments. The problem with you is, you're cookie cutter. It's like a broken record of guys from years ago when you talk. You know, the guys my mom used to face way, way back in the day when she was making her mark. And you attack me after a match and suddenly you think you're the most dangerous person in RWA. We'll see what happens when you have to look me in the eyes this week.

Yea, I know, I haven't had much to say right now that hasn't already been said. All I have to say is, look who got offered a movie role? Me, thats who! Maybe thats something you can aspire too as well....it's too bad you're too ugly for animated movies.

End...
