April 26th, 2008 It is another packed house as we get ready to watch another edition of Overdrive. The camera pans around the crowd and then we hear "Evolution" by Korn while we see images of Tommy Purr, 6Pac Dudley, Vesuvius, Eli Ryder, Max Cameron, Kannon and Hoshi Yakamoto before we go to ringside where Ricky Simms and Henry Lesher are once again set to call tonight's action. Vesuvius vs. Bombshell/Sarah Darling/Mrs. Robinson "Piece of Me" by Britney Spears plays as Bombshell leads Sarah Darling and Mrs. Robinson onto the stage and then down the ramp. The crowd cheers them on as they make their way to ringside and then pull themselves onto the apron before Bombshell steps through the ropes into the ring, leaving the other two divas on the apron while looking towards the stage area. Their music then fades and we see Vesuvius on the big screen that hangs over the stage. Vesuvius - No, this is not going to go well for any of you. Anarchy reveals itself tonight. Anarchy reveals that we are always a step ahead of the rest. The lights dim and we hear "All Hallow's Eve" by Type O Negative and the crowd is hushed as Orlock and Kindred step out onto the stage, the massive seven foot monsters looking down into the ring where Bombshell and her partners look both stunned and frightened. They start to make their way down the ramp only to be attacked from behind by Tommy Purr and Frank Merritt. Ricky Simms - I don't think any of us saw this coming and Purr and Merritt want to offer these monsters men their own size to fight. Henry Lesher - I already love this week's show. Vesuvius is a genius. Security rushes out to break things up as it becomes obvious we are not going to get a match between Vesuvius and the three divas this week. Some of the security members are caught in the crossfire and get tossed from the stage to the floor below while the fans cheer the violence of this encounter. Ricky Simms - Orlock and Kindred are pushing their way into the tag team title picture, I guess. As security continues their efforts to break up this melee, we look backstage where Hector Braun is entering the building when he is headed off by Shannon Skanes. Shannon Skanes - What the hell do you think you're doing? Hector Braun - That's the wrong tone to be taking with me. Shannon Skanes - Hector, why didn't you come to me before this all went down? Hector Braun - You have be at a disadvantage. Shannon Skanes - You orchestrated Crystal's kidnapping yourself. Hector Braun - Oh, your words are like daggers, my friend. I would have no reason to do that. Shannon Skanes - You wouldn't unless you were working with Vesuvius. Hector Braun - Vesuvius? That putz? Shannon Skanes - Drop the act, Hector. I am already working on buying you out of the CWA. Shannon storms off and a smile slowly crosses Hector's face before we return to the ring. Kelly Buchanan vs. Hoshi Yakamoto vs. Daniel McCoy "Rosenrot" by Rammstein plays as Kelly Buchanan makes her way onto the stage where she is flanked by Rachel Glenn, also known as Lady Eagle. Rachel has an Anarchy Inc. T--shirt and black jeans on and she poses for the camera while Kelly looks down towards the floor while she makes her way to the ring. Kelly then rolls herself under the bottom rope into the ring where she tests the ropes while her music fades and then we hear "Firefly" by Breaking Benjamin and Daniel McCoy rushes onto the stage and then runs down the ramp before he slides into the ring and then he jumps to his feet and smiles towards Kelly Buchanan, who looks very upset already and the match hasn't even started yet. We then hear "Hero" by Ozzy Osbourne and we see Hoshi Yakamoto step out onto the stage to a loud ovation from the crowd. She then makes her way down the ramp where she then comes face to face with Rachel Glenn and they have a few words with each other before Hoshi then pulls herself onto the ramp before stepping through the ropes into the ring. Ricky Simms - This match has an interesting dynamic to it. Henry Lesher - We just had a great brawl and now we get this? The bell sounds and the three wrestlers circle each other. Hoshi moves in towards Daniel McCoy and takes a knee to the gut from Kelly who then grabs Hoshi by the hair and whips her through the ropes and out to the floor. Hoshi then ducks a right hook from McCoy and then gives him a series of knife edge chops to the throat that sends him into the corner buckle. She then tries to whip him to the opposite corner, but he reverses it and sends her into the corner where he then gives her a clothesline while Hoshi rolls herself back into the ring. McCoy then starts trading rights and lefts with Hoshi before giving her an eye gouge. McCoy then whips Hoshi off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline before she then gives him a reverse neck breaker to the mat and then she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Daniel McCoy. Hoshi then gets to her feet only to take a clothesline to the mat from Kelly Buchanan who then gives her a leg drop across the chest before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi Yakamoto. Ricky Simms - There is some fast and furious action going on in the first of three triple threat matches tonight. Henry Lesher - Yes, the CWA is resorting to three ways for the ratings. It is still failing. Kelly stands Hoshi up, whips her into the corner buckle and then goes for a monkey flip, but Hoshi shoves her down. McCoy goes for a shoulder block on Hoshi, but she side steps that and then she rolls Daniel into a school boy pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Daniel McCoy. Hoshi then stands McCoy up and whips him off the ropes before giving him a dropkick that sends him down to the mat. Hoshi then goes to the ropes and makes her way to the top. Kelly Buchanan knocks her off by shaking the top rope and then Kelly grabs Hoshi off the mat, pulling her up by the hair and then giving her a thumb to the eye. Ricky Simms - Kelly is really showing an edge in her game tonight. Henry Lesher - I guess it's a good thing Vesuvius locked her up all week. Ricky Simms - Vesuvius is a morally corrupt and evil man. Henry Lesher - He brought Orlock back. He is a hero. Kelly then picks Hoshi up and slams her to the mat. Daniel McCoy then catches Kelly with a round house kick to the back of the head and then gives her a bulldog to the mat before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kelly Buchanan. McCoy then stands Kelly up, whips her off the ropes and then gives her a clothesline to the mat before he ducks a clothesline from Hoshi and then gives her a Rock Bottom to the mat. He goes for the pin on Hoshi. 1...2... Hoshi rolls a shoulder out and McCoy stands her up and whips her through the ropes and out to the floor. McCoy then drops and rolls himself out to the floor where he comes face to face with Rachel Glenn and they start arguing. Ricky Simms - This is the first time we have seen Rachel since her kidnapping. Henry Lesher - Judging by her attire and managing position, she was a willing victim. Hoshi gets to her feet behind Daniel and goes for a clothesline. He ducks it and Hoshi clotheslines Rachel to the floor instead, almost taking her head off. Hoshi then rolls herself into the ring and ducks a clothesline from a now rested Rachel and then comes off the ropes. Kelly ducks her head for a backdrop, but Hoshi hits a victory roll on Kelly for the pin. 1...2...3! Hoshi Yakamoto wins the match in the midst of the chaos! Ricky Simms - Great win for Hoshi. Henry Lesher - What a cheap shot on Rachel! They call Vesuvius a coward and they cheer that? While Hoshi celebrates the win, we look backstage where Tommy Purr is with Ray Dees. Ray Dees - Tommy, you had a bit of a warm up before your title match tonight. Tommy Purr - I am just sick of Vesuvius and his gang of wanna bes. Look, I keep my nose clean most of the time, but I was not standing for that. This isn't WWE. You want to fight? Pick someone your own size. Ray Dees - Aren't you worried about how this will affect your title match tonight? Tommy Purr - Ray, I have never been this focused on becoming the champ. It consumes my very being and when I hit the Tommyknocker and become the champ tonight, it will prove that everything I have been through was worth it. Ray Dees - Jack Spade has proven time and again that he is capable of overcoming great odds, though. Tommy Purr - Look, I know all about odds. I have been the underdog too many times to mention. Shannon Skanes then enters the frame. Shannon Skanes - I need a moment with Tommy here. Ray Dees - But I am interviewing him. Shannon Skanes - No, Tommy and I have business to discuss. *as they walk out of frame* Tommy, it's a go for May. I need a week off. We head back to the ring before we hear any further details. Max Cameron vs. Eli Ryder vs. Kannon "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays and the crowd gives a huge ovation to Max Cameron as he makes his way onto the stage and then he looks around at the packed house. As he starts to make his way down the ramp, he is attacked from behind by Kannon who gives Max a chop block to the ramp and then rams his knee into the steel before Kannon then drags Max down to ringside and then he whips Max shoulder first into the steel ring steps before rolling him under the bottom rope into the ring. Kannon then pulls Max to the corner post and smiles before giving him a figuew four leg lock with the corner post used for extra pressure. Ricky Simms - Max is in serious trouble and the match hasn't even started yet. Henry Lesher - Kannon apparently isn't a big fan of Max Cameron. As Kannon continues to apply the hold and referee Mark Davis screams at him to release the hold, we see Eli Ryder rushing out to go after Kannon. He gives Kannon a series of punches to the head which cause him to lose his grip on Max Cameron. Eli then stands Kannon up and rams him shoulder first into the guard railing. He then picks Kannon up and slams him to the floor before putting the boots to him. Eli then stands Kannon up and rolls him into the ring before rolling himself into the ring which allows the referee to call for the bell to get this one started. Ricky Simms - This shoulder be interesting, seeing that there aren't any rules. Henry Lesher - That makes it interesting to me. Eli stands Kannon up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Eli then boot chokes Kannon, using the ropes for added leverage while Max Cameron rolls himself out to the floor where he reaches under the ring and pulls out a table. He starts setting the table up on the floor while Eli releases Kannon, stands him up and whips him into the corner buckle. Eli then charges in for a shoulder block, but Kannon side steps it, then picks Eli up and throws him over the top rope and through the table that Max had just finished setting up. Max then reaches under the ring and garsb himself a kendo stick before he rolls himself back into the ring. Kannon backs off from Max who swings the stick in his direction and then lunges at him. Kannon ducks, but Max reverses his move and he catches Kannon in the ear with the kendo stick and then he moves in and starts choking Kannon out with it. Ricky Simms - Brutality abounds in this one as Max gets control. Henry Lesher - I love this, so keep your mouth shut and let me enjoy the bloodshed. Eli gets to his feet slowly on the floor. Inside the ring, Kannon breaks free by giving Max a snap mare to the mat. Kannon then pulls the kendo stick from Max's grip and he starts to choke Max with it. Eli slowly rolls himself into the ring and he then kicks Kannon in the back of the neck and then he grabs the kendo stick from Kannon and then drills him across the knees with it, then hits his knees a second time before tossing the weapon out of the ring. Eli then picks Kannon up and then drops him on the top rope, the rope catching Kannon's throat and his head whipping backward before he crashes to the mat. Eli then goes for the pin. 1...2... Kannon gets a foot on the bottom rope. Eli then stands Kannon up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a clothesline and then a head butt which sends Kannon backwards before he then gives him a double leg take down to the mat. Eli then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the second rope. He is set to deliver a double axe handle smash on Kannon, but Max falls into the ropes and that knocks Eli off balance. Max then pulls Eli down off the ropes and gives him a head butt and then gives him an inverted atomic drop before he then gives him a clothesline to the mat where Max goes for the pin. 1...2... Kannon pulls Max off Eli and then gives him a DDT to the mat before Kannon goes for the pin. 1...2... Max gets a foot on the bottom rope. Ricky Simms - A lot of near falls here as these three destroy each other. Henry Lesher - That's just what you have to do. Kannon stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a shoulder block to the mat. Kannon then places Eli in a headlock as Eli had nearly been to his feet. Eli frees himself from the headlock with a series of elbows to the ribs on Kannon before he then places him in a headlock and gives him a DDT before Eli goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kannon. Max rolls himself out to the floor and reaches under the ring and pulls out a fire extinguisher. Kannon rolls himself out to confront Max and takes a head shot from the fire extinguisher and then Max picks Kannon up and slams him to the floor. Max then takes a vicious clothesline to the floor from Frank Merritt. Merritt then takes the fire extinguisher and drives it into the throat of Max Cameron before rolling him into the ring. Unaware of Frank's interference, Eli Ryder climbs the ropes and hits the Disasterpiece onto the fallen Max Cameron before he goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Eli Ryder gets the win this week. Ricky Simms - Eli didn't see what Frank did. Henry Lesher - Hell, Max didn't see what Frank did! That was so unbelievably awesome! Can I get a copy of tonight's show? Frank starts up the ramp with a smile on his face while the three combatants in this match try to get their bearings. We then look backstage where Vesuvius is with Ingee Shmelky. Ingee Shmelky - Vesuvius, what happened tonight? Vesuvius - I showed the world that Anarchy is back. Next week, NADP will be victims for Orlock and Kindred. Ingee Shmelky - So the tag team titles will be in your sights as well. Vesuvius - If Tommy and Frank want a fight for those titles, they are about to get it. In fact, they are going to get a bigger fight that they ever expected. Ingee Shmelky - So does this mark the end of your in ring career? Vesuvius - That's for me to know, Shmelk. It's none of your business. Vesuvius storms off and we head to the ring for tonight's main event. Jack Spade vs. 6Pac Dudley vs. Tommy Purr "Southtown" by POD plays as 6Pac Dudley comes out to a loud ovation from the crowd. He holds his Aerial title in his hands and shows it to the camera, then says that it is about to get company. 6Pac then runs down the ramp and rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring before he jumps to his feet and then he poses on the second rope with his belt before he tosses it to the time keeper at ringside and then he jumps down as his music stops and we hear "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry and Tommy Purr makes his entrance, also receiving a loud reaction from the crowd. He then starts down the ramp, not taking his eyes off of 6Pac as he does so. Tommy then pulls himself onto the apron and has a few words with 6Pac which leads to 6Pac stepping closer and Tommy slaps him across the face, then steps into the ring where they start brawling while Tommy's music fades out. "King of the Stereo" by Saliva plays as the CWA champion comes running out and runs down the ramp and slides under the bottom rope into the ring, the CWA title still around his waist as referee Steve Blake calls for the bell to get things officially started. Ricky Simms - This should be a fantastic match. Henry Lesher - Of course it will be. Tommy is in it. Jack Spade knees 6Pac in the back and then takes a clothesline to the mat from Tommy Purr. Tommy then gives 6Pac a clothesline to the mat as well and then drops a knee to the chest on 6Pac before standing him up, whipping him off the ropes and trying to backdrop him onto Jack Spade who rolls out of the way. Spade then rolls Tommy into a school boy for the surprise pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Spade and Purr kip up to their feet and then they exchange knife edge chops to the chest followed by a head butt by Tommy Purr who then rakes the eyes of Jack Spade along the top rope. 6Pac, now on his feet, then clotheslines both men over the top rope and out to the floor. He then waits for them to stand before he leaps through the ropes and gives them a double clothesline to the floor while the crowd cheers. Ricky Simms - These guys are pulling out all the stops, well aware of what is on the line tonight. Henry Lesher - Yeah, even 6Pac isn't that thick. 6Pac stands Jack Spade up and whips him shoulder first into the steel ring steps and then he turns to Tommy only to take a thumb to the eye from Tommy who then gives 6Pac a spine buster to the floor. Tommy then stands 6Pac up, rolls him into the ring and then rolls himself into the ring before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by 6Pac. Tommy has a few words with the referee about the speed of the count and then he stands 6Pac up, whips him into the corner and charges into raised knees from 6Pac who then jumps to the top rope and lands a flying shoulder block on Tommy that sends him down to the mat before 6Pac hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... Jack Spade pulls 6Pac off of Tommy and out to the floor. Spade then gives 6Pac a head butt and then an eye gouge before slamming his head on the ring apron. Spade then rolls himself into the ring and is barely on his feet when Tommy Purr greets him with a super kick to the chin that sends Jack right back through the ropes and out to the floor. Ricky Simms - A lot of high impact moves here and quick action. Henry Lesher - Of course it's quick. Tommy doesn't waste time. Tommy Purr climbs the ropes in the corner and waits for Jack Spade to get to his feet. Tommy then executes a missile dropkick to the chest on Jack Spade that sends him crashing into the guard railing. Tommy then gets to his feet and takes a dropkick to the chest from 6Pac. 6Pac then stands Tommy up, rams his head into the steel corner post and then rolls him into the ring before rolling himself into the ring where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. 6Pac stands Tommy up as Jack Spade pulls himself back into the ring. 6Pac whips Tommy off the ropes and gives him a backdrop to the mat and then he starts putting the boots to Jack Spade before he has a chance to stand. Behind 6Pac, Tommy kips up to his feet and then lands a knee to the back on 6Pac before picking him up and then delivering a Tommyknocker on 6Pac. Tommy then goes for the pin only to get tossed from the ring by Jack Spade who then jumps to the top rope and lands the Jack of All Spades on 6Pac before hooking the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Jack Spade retains! Ricky Simms - Again, against the odds, Jack retains the title. Henry Lesher - Tommy set 6Pac up for the pin. The splash wasn't necessary. That was a cheap win and Tommy needs to demand a rematch. Ricky Simms - The CWA locker room must be wondering what it will take to dethrone this champion! Henry Lesher - Plug him full of some Frank Merritt medicine. He won't be able to stand, much less fight. Tommy Purr is seen on the floor, stunned by what just happened and protesting to the referee in vain while Jack Spade retrieves his title belt and starts making his way to the ramp. Tommy charges and Jack turns just in time to takes a spear to the ramp from Tommy. Tommy then picks Jack up and gives him a Tommyknocker, sending him face first to the steel ramp. Tommy then grabs the CWA title belt and places it over his shoulder. Ricky Simms - Clearly Tommy thinks he won this match. Henry Lesher - Tommy is right. His finisher made this happen. This is a travesty! We fade to black as the crowd shouts at Tommy for attacking the wildly popular Jack Spade. Tommy seems oblivious to them as he holds onto the CWA title belt. |
