Assault - February 5th, 2006

The crowd takes their seats as another edition of AW Assault gets set to go to air. Minneapolis is the home to tonight's show, one that promises to be phenomenal by all accounts.

Backstage we see Vesuvius pacing and then Shelia Lavin enters the office. For a moment the two stare at each other and say nothing.

Vesuvius - Your month is over.

Shelia Lavin - I am aware of that. I came here tonight as a wrestler and manager to Q.

Vesuvius - Well, I have had enough of the crap you and Q bring to the table. I'm letting you go.

Shelia Lavin - *shaking her head* You'll regret this.

Vesuvius - You think so?

Shelia Lavin - See, Q and I were here as Shannon's representatives inside the ring, but there is something else to this as well. You see this simply as the Skanes family being a threat to your little empire here. There's much more to it than that.

Vesuvius - Enlighten me.

Shelia Lavin - Q and I have a payment clause from a very interested third party in the event of our dismissal. I took the pleasure of signing someone to a contract after the show last week and got paid handsomely for this acquisition.

Vesuvius - Stop with the damned riddles. What the hell are you talking about?

Shelia Lavin - Can Anarchy compete with the Mafia?

She then turns and is heard humming to herself as she exits the office. No sooner has she left than Jason Knight enters the room, clearly having overheard everything said.

Jason Knight - Could that mean...?

Vesuvius - She's bluffing. She has to be.

Max Cameron vs D.I.C.K.

"Tear In My Beer" by Hank Williams starts to play as Dwayne Irving Carter Kingston starts to make his way to the ring. The crowds booing doesn't phase him as he tips his hat to the camera and asks if we're ready for some wooly bully. He then lets out a shout and quickly makes his way to the ring. He leaps up onto the apron and looks around at the crowd for a few moments before he steps into the ring. He then has a few words for referee Mark Davis as his music fades. We then hear "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC and see Max Cameron being led to the ring by Aftermath and Cameron Jacques. Malice is following behind and watching out for anyone who might try to attack the Superior champion.

Ricky Simms - This is an interesting match to start the show off.

Henry Lesher - Shelia signed Sal Clemenzo?

Ricky Simms - She didn't say that.

Henry Lesher - Sal is a dangerous man, a known killer, a man with a very checkered past who actually turned against his beloved Mafia at one time. Man, would it be good to see him back!

Max stops at ringside and looks up at Kingston. Kingston is motioning Max into the ring with that cocky grin on his face. Max makes his way up the ring steps, not taking his eyes off of Kingston as Malice places the Superior title over his shoulder. Max then steps into the ring where Kingston greets him with a series of kicks to the ribs. Kingston then gives Max a German suplex to the center of the ring and then gives him a leg drop across the throat and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Max Cameron. Kingston stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and clotheslines him down to the mat. Kingston then places Max in a wrist lock while planting a foot on the back of Max's neck. Referee Davis checks for a submission, but Max refuses.

Ricky Simms - Kingston really taking it to the champ here so far.

Henry Lesher - Kingston's a good looking guy, isn't he? I mean, so rugged and ruthless.

Ricky Simms - We are five minutes into the show and I already feel like I am going to throw up.

Kingston abandons the wrist lock, stands Max up and whips him into the corner buckle. He then gives Max a double under hook suplex from there and then goes to the ropes. He climbs to the second rope and then lands a double axe handle smash across the back of the neck of Max before he has a chance to get all the way to his feet. Kingston goes for the pin. 1...2... Max kicks out. Kingston stands Max up, whips him to the ropes and Max grabs them and pulls himself out of the ring to the safety of his Youthful Aggression stable. Kingston shouts at Max to get back into the ring and even goes to that side of the ring and spits at all four of them. Kingston then retreats to the middle of the ring as Max pulls himself onto the apron. Max steps into the ring and locks up with Kingston. Max knees Kingston in the gut and then gives him a series of knife edge chops that back him up to the middle of the ring. Max then eye gouges Kingston, puts him in a headlock and DDTs him to the mat. Max tells the camera that this is over, rolls Kingston over and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kingston.

Ricky Simms - Max clearly felt he had the match won there.

Henry Lesher - I guess he's dumber than he looks. That's really saying something.

Max stands Kingston up, whips him into the corner buckle and then clotheslines him in the corner. Max then bulldogs Kingston out of the corner and again goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Kingston. Max begins to argue with the referee about the speed of the count. Davis holds up two fingers and refuses Max's request to call it a match right there. Kingston then rolls Max into a school boy while hooking the tights. 1...2...3! Referee Mark Davis missed the hook of the tights and Kingston remains undefeated in AW. As Kingston exits the ring, referee Shannon Skanes is seen making his way towards it. Kingston waits until Shannon is close enough and then drills him with a kick to the chest followed by a DDT to the floor. Kingston then laughs as he looks down on the fallen official and tells him that's what he gets for sticking his nose where it didn't belong. Kingston then takes the time to pick up his cowboy hat and gives the other members of Youthful Aggression the finger before he then starts for the back.

Henry Lesher - I love that man.

Ricky Simms - Pardon?

Henry Lesher - I said that was a great match.

Ricky Simms - No you didn't, but let's move on.

As Kingston disappears into the back and Max rolls himself out of the ring, we look backstage and see Jason Knight with Scavenger.

Scavenger - I cannot believe I worked so hard this week and got a dark match win over Pyro. It just all feels wrong to me.

Jason Knight - Look, Scav, you're a valued member of the AW team. Next week, we'll give you someone who can keep you going.

Scavenger - Oh?

Jason Knight - That Kingston guy we just saw in the ring there, he needs to be taken down a notch. We know he's a threat. You are the one who will knock him off that high horse next week.

Scavenger - He'd better show up.

Scavenger then turns and leaves the office. Vesuvius appears from what appears to be the closet?

Vesuvius - I am very disappointed in Scavenger.

Jason Knight - *nods* Kingston will destroy him. We need a new ally.

Vesuvius - Agreed. I have someone in mind, actually.

Hoshi Yakamoto vs Antichrist

"Surfing with the Alien" by Joe Satriani starts to play as the Xtreme champion, Hoshi, makes her way towards the ring. As she pulls herself into the ring and Bart Phillips takes his place at ringside, the lights dim and the music stops. We hear "Naked Cousin" by PJ Harvey and the Anarchy Angels start to make their way towards the ring. The crowd gives them a mixed reaction as they take their place at ringside in chairs that are within reach of the ring apron.

Ricky Simms - We heard weeks ago that these two girls would be out here at some point. I wonder why they chose this match.

Henry Lesher - I'm sure Vesuvius sent them out merely to watch this match, nothing more.

"My Twin" by Katatonia begins to play as Renske makes his way out from the back, Demitri Lucian leading the way. Renske has his head down and appears to be deep in thought as he makes his way towards the ring. We see the two Anarchy Angels talking to each other as he reaches ringside. Renske looks into the ring at Hoshi and appears to apologize for what he is about to do, though he is looking through her more than he's looking at her.

Ricky Simms - These people who follow Lucian really creep me out.

Henry Lesher - Yeah, I'm becoming a fan myself.

Renske pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. The bell sounds and Renske looks outside the ring at Bart. Hoshi moves in and lands a series of kicks to the chest on Renske before then whipping him into the corner buckle. Hoshi then monkey flips Renske from there and then lands a rolling thunder on Renske before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. As Hoshi stands Renske up, we see Jackson Rayge making his way to ringside where Bart Phillips heads him off.

Ricky Simms - The monster and the madman are both here. The Angels are watching this intently.

Henry Lesher - They should get the hell out of there. Jackson is as dangerous as they get.

Hoshi whips Renske off the ropes and then dropkicks him to the mat. Hoshi then goes to the ropes and makes her way to the top. At ringside, Rayge and Phillips are jawing at each other. Hoshi sees this from the top rope and is distracted enough for Renske to get to his feet and then body slam her off the top rope to the mat. Renske then looks up and says this is for Alicia and then he appears to mount Hoshi. Referee Steve Blake pulls Renske off of Hoshi and asks him what's wrong with him. Renske then picks the referee up and tosses him over the top rope and down to the floor. He again looks at Hoshi like she's dinner while Lucian calls to him from ringside. Lucian tries to get Renske focused on the win here as Rayge and Phillips start trading punches at ringside. Inside the ring, Renske freezes and then slowly turns back to Hoshi. She's scrambling to escape the ring. Renske grabs her by the hair, pulls her to her feet and then head butts her backwards into the ropes. Renske then whips her off the ropes and clotheslines her to the mat. He appears to be torn between what's right and wrong here as he hesitates.

Ricky Simms - Lucian has one follower fighting at ringside while another seems lost inside the ring.

Henry Lesher - The master plan will be revealed here. Just watch.

Renske stands Hoshi up, as he shakes off whatever daze he was in. Renske then whips Hoshi off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and gives Renske a reverse neck breaker before going for the pin. Of course, there's no referee there to count it, so she rolls herself out of the ring and tries to get referee Steve Blake back into the ring. As Blake rolls himself into the ring, Renske hits a baseball slide to the chin on Hoshi, sending her into the guard railing. Jackson Rayge tosses Bart Phillips into the crowd and then follows him out while security tries to get this under control.

Ricky Simms - Jackson Rayge is taking this into lawsuit territory!

Henry Lesher - What a fun match this has turned out to be.

Renske stands Hoshi up. Hoshi lands a jawbreaker on Renske and then rolls him into the ring. Hoshi then rolls herself into the ring as the referee slowly gets to his feet. Hoshi then sees Jackson Rayge and Bart fighting in the crowd and she appears to be concerned. She takes a few steps towards that fight and Renske springs to his feet like a cat and gives her a series of elbows to the back of the neck and then places her in the HALO. Hoshi struggles against the hold, but taps out and referee Steve Blake calls for the bell. Renske quickly releases Hoshi and rolls himself out of the ring where he grabs the belt from the time keeper. Lucian then calls Rayge back and Rayge stops the fight with Phillips to return to ringside. The Anarchy Angels appear to be impressed as new Xtreme champion Renske makes his way towards the back. A bloodied Bart Phillips quickly races into the ring where Hoshi is shaking her head and asking what happened here tonight.

Ricky Simms - Thanks to Rayge and questionable refereeing tonight, Renske is the new Xtreme champion. They don't much more extreme than him either.

Henry Lesher - Things just got a lot better around here.

Ricky Simms - Renske threw Steve Blake over the top rope to the floor, though. That should have been a disqualification. Something stinks around here.

Henry Lesher - Hey, is you smelled it, you dealt it.

As Hoshi and Bart exit the ring without her title, the Anarchy Angels start making their way towards the back as well. They're clearly impressed with what they saw, though we have no idea who they were scouting out tonight. We then look backstage where Shannon Skanes is getting ready to referee the next match when his son Noah enters the picture.

Shannon Skanes - Son, it's good to see you.

Noah Skanes - Dad, we have to talk.

Shannon Skanes - I agree. We haven't really chatted in a long time, since...

Noah Skanes - That's what we have to talk about. You know, I always believed you were the one responsible for everything. Now.... it's all wrong.

Shannon Skanes - What do you mean?

Noah Skanes - The GWO didn't die by anything you did.

Shannon Skanes - You might want to explain that further.

Noah Skanes - I can't tell you the rest until I have proof. I just wanted you to know I'm sorry.

Shannon Skanes - Kiddo, it's nothing you did. You have nothing to apologize for.

Noah Skanes - Mom does, though.

Shannon Skanes - That's not possible. Your mother's a saint. It's me who screwed up and lost GWO.

Noah Skanes - Look, like I said, I have to find proof. When I do, and I hope I'm wrong, you'll see it wasn't your fault at all.

Noah then exits the room and leaves Shannon to ponder what he might have meant.

Rated R vs Tommy Purr

"Walk Idiot Walk" by The Hives plays as Mrs. Robinson leads Tommy Purr towards the ring for this match. Tommy appears to be deep in thought as he finally gets to face Rated R inside the ring. Tommy stops at ringside and has a few words with Mrs. Robinson and then he leaps onto the apron where he looks out to the crowd. The crowd seems torn on who to cheer for here tonight and he nods his head as he looks around at everyone before then stepping into the ring. Tommy tests the ropes as his music fades and the familiar opening chords of "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace starts to play. Rated R comes out to a huge ovation from the crowd. He then makes his way towards the ring, never taking his eyes off of Tommy inside of it. Rated R rolls himself into the ring and then quickly gets to his feet where he stands nose to nose with Tommy. The two start talking to each other and it turns nasty when Tommy says Rated R was only champ because YA kept him champ. Rated R then tells Tommy he was nothing before YA recruited him. With that, they start trading punches and the fight is on.

Ricky Simms - Former allies squaring off here in a match that Vesuvius made for Ryan. I get the feeling he doesn't mind taking Tommy out of the way either.

Henry Lesher - Vesuvius is smart. He knows these two are a major threat to him, so if he turns them against each other, he has accomplished something.

Ricky Simms - Vesuvius is determined to wear Rated R down going into Bloodbath so that he's no challenge for current champion Nameless.

Tommy and Rated R continue to brawl as referee Shannon Skanes finally reaches the ring. Tommy whips Rated R off the ropes, then clotheslines him to the mat. Tommy then stands Rated R up, whips him into the corner buckle and gives him a series of kicks to the ribs from there. Rated R doubles over and Tommy places him in a headlock, pulls him to the middle of the ring and gives him a swinging neck breaker before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rated R. Tommy then stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and dropkicks him to the mat. Tommy then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the top while fans start a chant for Rated R. Tommy launches himself off the top for an elbow smash that misses when Rated R rolls out of the way. Rated R then rolls himself out of the ring to regroup. Tommy holds his elbow and winces as he follows Ryan out of the ring. Tommy turns Rated R around and takes a thumb to the eye from the former GWO world champ. Rated R then slams Tommy's head into the guard railing and then rolls himself back into the ring where referee Shannon Skanes warns him against those tactics.

Ricky Simms - This match is every bit as physical as we might expect between these two.

Henry Lesher - There's little doubt that these two are the best stars that GWO ever had.

Ricky Simms - For you.

Henry Lesher - Well, my opinion is the only one that matters.

Tommy Purr rolls himself into the ring and Rated R proceeds to put the boots to him. Rated R then stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and clotheslines him down to the mat. Rated R then knees Tommy across the throat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Tommy rolls a shoulder out. Rated R stands Tommy up, whips him into the corner buckle and gives him a sidewalk slam out of it before again going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Rated R then stands Tommy up, whips him into the corner and then both men clothesline each other to the mat. Shannon Skanes starts counting both men down. The crowd again starts a chant for Rated R.

Ricky Simms - The fans are really behind Ryan's quest to become AW champion.

Henry Lesher - I really don't care. I liked him before it was the popular thing to do.

On the four count, Rated R rolls onto Tommy for the pin attempt. 1...2... Tommy kicks out. Rated R then uses the ropes to start pulling himself to his feet. Tommy finds the energy to get to his feet with a kip up. Tommy then gives Rated R a super kick to the chin that sends him through the ropes to the floor. Tommy shrugs and tells the camera this is where he wins. Tommy rolls himself out of the ring, stands Rated R up and whips him should first into the steel corner post. Tommy then grabs Rated R by the hair and Rated R thumbs him in the eye. Rated R then backdrops Tommy over the railing and into the front row. Rated R then rolls himself into the ring. Tommy quickly gets to his feet, leaps over the railing and rolls himself into the ring just in time to beat the count. Tommy then places Rated R in a sleeper hold and is clearly growing frustrated.

Ricky Simms - Tommy really thought he had Ryan down and out and Rated R proves another foe wrong.

Henry Lesher - Yes, but this match is wearing the challenger down. Step by step, he is being worn down and he'll be no match for Nameless when Bloodshed rolls around.

Rated R struggles against the hold as referee Shannon Skanes checks on him. He raises Rated R's arm once and it falls. He raises it a second time and it falls. He raises it a third time and this time Rated R manages to keep it raised. Rated R then clenches his fists and shows signs of coming back here as chants for him grow louder. Rated R starts getting to his feet and Tommy sees this hold isn't going to end it. He releases Rated R, then whips him into the corner buckle and misses with a shoulder block there as Rated R side steps it. Rated R then picks Tommy up and power slams him to the mat before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Rated R then stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and Tommy ducks a clothesline. Tommy then tries a clothesline and Rated R ducks it, then catches Tommy and gives him a Rock Bottom to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Tommy rolls a shoulder out and the crowd groans. Rated R has a few words for Shannon and Shannon gives him the finger. Rated R then stands Tommy up, whips him off the ropes and Tommy takes a dropkick to the chest from Rated R. Rated R then signals that he is set to end this. The lights then go out. There is a loud scuffle heard inside the ring and, when the lights come back up, both Rated R and Tommy Purr are out cold and bleeding from the forehead. We see Nameless retreating into the back as the crowd boos and Shannon calls for the bell.

Ricky Simms - Shannon has thrown this match out and Nameless has left two victims in the middle of the ring.

Henry Lesher - I think he clocked them both with a cinder block, but it's hard to tell from here.

Ricky Simms - Well, he is associated with Dante, so that's possible. Regardless, both Tommy and Rated R have to be seen as weakened coming out of this match up.

Henry Lesher - Genius. It's pure genius.

We then fade to a show that was seen on X-Net very recently...

Jake and Andrews fall to the mat as Jake's eyes are alight with fire. Jake slowly gets to his feet and looks around. He exits the ring and asks a stoner in the front row for a light. The stoner gives it up willingly enough, as out of from under the ring Jake finds a bottle of lighter fluid! Jake rolls back into the ring, still wrapped in barbed wire. He then walks over to the table and dumps the whole bottle of lighter fluid onto it, before striking the light and dropping it in the middle of the table! The reaction is immediate and Jake is glad he stood back far enough. He then grabs Andrews by the hair and drags him over to the turnbuckles where the table is. He then starts to ascend first, dragging Andrews up as well. Jake then double under hooks both of Andrews arms and looks to the fans!

Diaz: THIS NIGGA IS CRAZY!

Gweedo: NO JAKE! NO!

Jake takes a deep breath, and then leaps forward with Andrews, planting a double under hook sit-out face buster right through the flaming table! The fans erupt in "OOOOOOOH" as both Jake and Andrews scurry out of the now put out flames. Both men are rolling around the ring frantically, laid out. Suddenly, the fans start chanting once more. "PLEASE DON'T DIE! PLEASE DON'T DIE! PLEASE DON'T DIE!"

Gweedo: THIS IS SICK!!!

Mike Moon: I THINK I'M GOING TO PUKE!!!

Diaz: THIS IS GOING TO MAKE ME SO MUCH MONEY!!!

Mike Moon: Both men are laid out, but Jake Matthews is rolling over.

Gweedo: He has put an arm over the chest of Caleb Andrews.

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!!!

Chris Sumac: HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND THE UNDISPUTED X-NET WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!! JAKE MATTHEWS!!!

Mike Moon: JAKE HAS DONE IT!!! HE HAS DONE IT!!!

We then fade from this image to the words... SIGNED AND SEALED TO ANARCHY WRESTLING NEXT WEEK ON ASSAULT!

Henry Lesher - What the hell is X-Net?

Ricky Simms - Jake Matthews, a huge star in the world of wrestling is on the AW roster? All hell is about to break loose!

Henry Lesher - I never heard of him. I'll be impressed if he can win a real title.

Ricky Simms - You really are clueless.

Myst vs Nameless

"Sonne" by Rammstein starts to play as Myst starts to make her way to the ring. She seems distracted and is actually on her cell phone as she reaches ringside and tells someone on the other end this isn't the time. She then tosses her phone to the time keeper before she pulls herself onto the apron. She steps into the ring and looks around at the crowd. Her music then fades and we hear "Start a War" by Static X and see Emily Blackstone leading Nameless towards the ring. They stop half way and she reads the standard pre-match note.

Emily Blackstone - Myst, you chose death over life. You chose to be here tonight and lose it all. May your soul find peace and may your pain be brief.

Nameless then continues his slow walk to the ring. He pulls himself onto the apron and then steps into the ring. The crowd greets him with all the warmth of a Siberian winter. He appears unaffected as he hands his title belt to Emily Blackstone and then turns to Myst. Myst attacks him with a dropkick to the chest that sends him down to the floor. Myst then retreats to the middle of the ring and looks skyward as if in prayer here against this monster. Nameless gets to his feet and looks into the ring, hatred behind his eyes. He shakes his head once and his eyes are emotionless again. Nameless then slowly makes his way up the ring steps and then steps over the top rope into the ring. Referee Francis Clarke calls for the bell and Myst moves in and lands a series of knife edge chops to the chest on Nameless. He responds with a choke slam on her that echoes throughout the arena. Nameless then boot chokes her as Emily paces nervously at ringside. Nameless releases the boot choke and stands Myst up, then whips her into the opposite corner. Nameless then picks Myst up from there and power slams her to the mat. He looks at Emily at ringside and she lowers her head.

Ricky Simms - It was a bizarre exchange that these two had this week, Nameless saying he'll kill Myst in the ring and Myst apparently welcoming it?

Henry Lesher - She knows nothing can stop the AW champion.

Nameless stands Myst up, whips her off the ropes and she ducks a clothesline and then gives Nameless a dropkick to the knee caps. Nameless doubles over and Myst give him a DDT to the mat before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Nameless. Myst then starts to strangle Nameless with a two handed choke. Nameless reaches for her throat, but Myst shakes that off. Nameless then sits up and Myst releases the choke and rolls herself out of the ring. Nameless quickly follows and Myst picks up a chair. Nameless sees the chair coming and blocks it, then kicks her in the face. Myst lands hard on the floor and Nameless gives her a leg drop across the throat. Nameless then picks her up and rolls her into the ring. He looks around at the crowd and then rolls himself into the ring as well where he goes for the pin. 1...2... Myst gets a foot on the bottom rope.

Ricky Simms - Myst found the energy to get her foot on the bottom rope, but she shouldn't have. There's a trickle of blood coming from the corner of her mouth and that shot outside the ring can't have helped her recover from her concussion.

Henry Lesher - Myst is an idiot. I knew it in CWA and in GWO and now AW will finish her off, once and for all.

Nameless stands Myst up, picks her up and choke slams her to the mat. He pauses and looks out at Emily Blackstone. She appears to be horrified with what she knows is coming. Nameless rolls himself out of the ring and reaches under the apron where he pulls out a length of barbed wire, the same kind he hung Kenji with this week. Nameless rolls himself into the ring where referee Francis Clarke threatens to disqualify him if he uses this weapon. Nameless pays him no mind, reaching for Myst. We then see Tommy Purr and Rated R, their heads bandaged up, rolling themselves into the ring and both are carrying chairs. They start drilling Nameless across the back and head with the chairs as the referee calls for the bell. As ring announcer Kelly Buchanan announces Nameless is the winner by disqualification, Rated R and Tommy Purr give Nameless a con-chair-to. Nameless falls face down to the mat and Rated R and Tommy leave the ring and start to the backstage area.

Ricky Simms - Tommy and Rated R gives Nameless a taste of his own medicine just as the monster was all set to end Myst!

Henry Lesher - She must have nine lives. Ryan and Tommy saved face there, but what happens next week when Nameless kills them instead?

Backstage we see Simon getting ready for his tag match with Rated R this week. Vesuvius walks into the room with a smile on his face.

Vesuvius - Where do you think you're going?

Simon - Rated R and I are partners tonight.

Vesuvius - You know what? You're not partners, not even close. I don't like you, Simon. I remember every shot you gave me inside the glass chamber last year. I remember everything. You want to wrestle in AW? Next week, you get your chance one on one against Nameless. This week, you get a security escort from the building. Fail to beat Nameless next week and you get no contract.

Simon - *shakes his head* Boy, this is gonna hurt you more than it hurts me.

Vesuvius - Pardon?

Simon proceeds to spear Vesuvius into a locker and then slams his head into the locker door as security rushes in to pull him off of the AW owner. Simon is dragged from the room as a now bloodied Vesuvius scowls.

Vesuvius - Son of a bitch. You'll be lucky to keep your life next Sunday, much less a career.

Tag Team Challenge

The crowd cheers as "Mine Teil" by Rammstein plays and the first three tag teams in the tag team challenge make their way to the ring. Rated R and Diego Alvarez are discussing strategy as they reach their corner. PB FUBU and Lightning take their spots in their corner. Gerard Angelo and Bombshell take their place in a third corner. Referee Mark Davis then signals to them that the match is set to start and calls for the bell. Gerard Angelo, Rated R and PB FUBU start the match off. Angelo kicks Rated R in the gut and then head butts him backwards. FUBU dropkicks Gerard in the chest, sending him through the ropes to the floor. FUBU then gives Rated R a tornado DDT to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Rated R.

Ricky Simms - Rated R's in rough shape and we have just started here.

Henry Lesher - He's amazing...ly stupid.

FUBU stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and Rated R ducks a clothesline and then gives FUBU a snap mare to the mat and applies a front face lock as Gerard rolls himself into the ring. Gerard kicks Rated R in the face, then picks him up over his shoulder and runs him face first into the one neutral corner we have left here. FUBU gets to his feet and starts trading punches with Gerard as Rated R crawls to his corner and tags in Diego Alvarez. Diego storms into the ring and clotheslines both FUBU and Gerard down, then stands Gerard up and whips him through the ropes to the floor. He then stands FUBU up, whips him off the ropes and FUBU ducks a clothesline before dropkicking Diego to the mat. FUBU then reaches for the tag, but Lightning is again wandering off. He is mumbling to himself as he makes his way up the aisle and then looks towards the ring for a moment as FUBU stands dumbfounded.

Ricky Simms - Lightning has been talking about darkness a lot and has abandoned FUBU once within the past few weeks. It look like he is doing that again.

Henry Lesher - He's a nutcase. Well, of course, he may have realized how much his partner sucks and there's no point in going on. That would make a lot of sense.

Diego rolls FUBU up into a small package and referee Mark Davis counts the pin. 1...2...3! Air Canada, members of Northern Exposure, have been eliminated from the match. We then see Tommy Purr and Daniel McCoy making their way to the ring in order to replace them.

Ricky Simms - When one team is eliminated, another comes out. They drew straws backstage as to where they would come in. We have no idea who drew what, so I have no idea who will be out or when.

Daniel McCoy rolls himself into the ring where Gerard Angelo greets him with a series of kicks to the head. Gerard then tags in Bombshell. Diego then dropkicks Bombshell before she's even all the way into the ring. Diego then stands McCoy up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick to the chest. Diego then goes to the ropes, makes his way to the top and manages to hit a missile dropkick to the chest of McCoy before going for the pin. 1...2... Purr breaks it up with a kick to the head on Diego Alvarez. Diego then rolls to his corner and tags in Rated R. McCoy tags in Purr and Gerard takes a blind tag from Bombshell, who clearly doesn't want to have to fight Purr here. Gerard, Ryan and Tommy all look at each other as the crowd cheers.

Ricky Simms - A YA reunion of sorts here.

Henry Lesher - It's bizarre. I never thought I would see this and Gerard is the healthiest of the three. That's damned odd.

Gerard starts throwing punches at Rated R. Tommy eye gouges Gerard. Tommy whips Gerard off the ropes and shoulder blocks him down, then picks Rated R up and slams him onto Gerard. Tommy then stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and Rated R ducks a clothesline and then gives Tommy a lariat to the mat. Rated R then stands Gerard up, whips him off the ropes and spears him to the mat before going for the pin. 1...2... Gerard manages to kick out. Rated R stands Gerard up, tags in Diego and then they whips Gerard off the ropes and give him a double dropkick to the chest, sending Gerard right out of the ring where he crashes to the floor. Diego then gets caught in a headlock from Tommy who bulldogs Diego to the mat and then rolls him over for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Diego Alvarez. Gerard pulls himself into the ring as Tommy stands Diego up. Tommy whips Diego off the ropes as Gerard grabs Tommy's foot. Tommy looks down at Gerard and takes a spear to the mat from Diego who then hooks the leg for the pin attempt, Gerard holding Tommy's other leg down. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr despite the teamwork against him. Gerard rolls to his corner and tags in Bombshell. She enters the ring, stands Diego up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a spinning heel kick that sends him to the mat. Purr tags in McCoy and McCoy climbs quickly to the top where he then lands a flying cross body on Bombshell before going for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Bombshell.

Ricky Simms - That was close.

Henry Lesher - Tommy would not have teamed with this McCoy loser if he didn't see promise there. He must have better eyesight than I do, though, because I don't see it.

Ricky Simms - That's a given.

McCoy stands Bombshell up, whips her off the ropes and backdrops her to the mat where Diego then lands a somersault leg drop on her and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Bombshell and Gerard Angelo have become the second team eliminated! Diego then takes boots from Tommy Purr as Rated R comes into the ring and starts brawling with Tommy. We then see Bart Phillips and Hoshi Yakamoto on their way towards the ring, the crowd cheering them on. Hoshi looks ticked after losing her Xtreme title earlier tonight and rolls herself into the ring where she starts brawling with Diego Alvarez and Daniel McCoy.

Ricky Simms - This match is bringing out the nastier side of people.

Henry Lesher - Nasty side? Elmo is nastier than Hoshi.

Ricky Simms - This Alvarez kid standing in for Simon has been impressing the hell out of me.

Henry Lesher - Well, I watched him this week. He knows Max Cameron sucks, so that's a good thing.

Hoshi whips Alvarez through the ropes to the floor and then starts trading shots with McCoy. Daniel McCoy kicks Hoshi in the ribs and then whips her off the ropes and dropkicks her to the mat. McCoy then quickly gets to his feet and tags in Tommy Purr. Purr steps into the ring and starts kicking Hoshi in the gut, then whips her off the ropes. Hoshi ducks a clothesline and then gives Tommy a reverse neck breaker to the mat before she goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Hoshi then tags in Bart Phillips. Phillips hits the ring and lands a series of rights and lefts to the jaw on Purr, Diego Alvarez pulling himself back into the ring where he then rolls Tommy up for the pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Tommy Purr. Diego Alvarez then tags in Rated R while Tommy tags in Daniel McCoy. McCoy walks into a spinning heel kick from Phillips. Phillips then backdrops a charging Rated R over the top rope, then picks Daniel McCoy up and gives him a running power slam to the mat and then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Daniel McCoy and Tommy Purr have been eliminated.

Ricky Simms - Hoshi and Bart capitalizing on being fresher and I'm sure Tommy's punishment earlier tonight against Rated R and then from Nameless didn't help.

Henry Lesher - This match weakens the threats to the champion a little more. It's more genius from Vesuvius.

Rated R pulls himself to his feet inside the ring as Snake and Matt McNulty rush in from the backstage area, all set for their shot at becoming the tag team champions. Snake slides into the ring and pulls the feet out from under Bart Phillips before Rated R leg drops Snake across the back of the neck. Rated R stands Snake up, whips him off the ropes and Snake ducks a clothesline and then gives Rated R an eye gouge followed by a standing dropkick. Snake then tags McNulty into the ring. McNulty climbs to the top rope and lands a clothesline on Rated R from there and then goes for the pin. 1...2... Diego Alvarez breaks it up with a kick to the head on McNulty. Bart Phillips then places McNulty in an ankle lock as he attempt to get him to submit. Snake charges into the ring and spears Bart down to the mat. Snake then rolls himself out of the ring and Bart rolls to the corner where he tags Hoshi in. Hoshi enters the ring and puts the boots to McNulty. McNulty, however, starts getting to his feet and wraps his arms around her throat when he sees who is attacking him. McNulty picks Hoshi up in a choke and then slams her down to the mat. McNulty goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Rated R then lands a series of kicks to the back on McNulty, then cinches around his waist and gives him a German suplex to the mat before Rated R goes for the pin. 1...2... McNulty manages to roll a shoulder out in time.

Ricky Simms - Plenty of near falls here in this match up.

Henry Lesher - Yeah, but I'd be happier if they just eliminate Hoshi and then deal with the rest. I really can't stand her.

Rated R stands McNulty up, whips him off the ropes and clotheslines him to the mat. Rated R then signals that he is ready to hit the Restricted. Snake will have none of it, charges into the ring and spears Rated R to the mat. Hoshi goes for the pin. 1...2... Diego again breaks up the pin, making the save for Rated R. McNulty then grabs Hoshi by the hair, pulls her to her feet and whips her into the corner buckle. McNulty gives Hoshi a vertical suplex to the center of the ring and then goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi Yakamoto. McNulty slaps the mat and asks the referee where his three count was. Rated R rolls to his corner and tags in Alvarez. Alvarez charges into the ring and clotheslines McNulty to the mat. Hoshi then goes for the pin on McNulty. 1...2... Mad Dog kicks out. Hoshi then rolls to her corner and tags in Bart Phillips. Phillips charges straight into a drop toe from Diego and McNulty leg drops Bart across the back of the neck before rolling him over for the pin attempt. 1...2... kick out by Bart Phillips. McNulty stands Bart up, whips him off the ropes and backdrops him to the mat. Diego then lands a Fall From Grace on McNulty. Diego hears the cheers of the crowd as he then picks McNulty up and lands a Moral Dilemma on him. Snake runs in for the save, but Rated R greets him with a spear as Diego goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Diego Alvarez has eliminated three teams now. We then see Aftermath and Cameron Jacques racing to the ring as the last team to take part in this match.

Ricky Simms - Circus of Pain eliminated by Alvarez! This kid is amazing!

Henry Lesher - You ready to marry him or something? Geez, you're pathetic.

McNulty rolls himself out of the ring and looks shocked to have lost here. Snake nods towards McNulty and then they look at Nikki Richter. She signals to the back and Gothic makes his way to ringside and around the ring to Hoshi's corner, pulls her off of the apron and then clotheslines her to the floor. Gothic then clubs her with a chair before he then exits ringside.

Ricky Simms - That was uncalled for.

Henry Lesher - I don't know. I think it was pretty cool. Maybe she'll stay out of their way next time.

Aftermath slips into the ring and starts trading punches with Bart Phillips. Diego Alvarez takes a position in the neutral corner and watches the two duke it out. Alvarez and Rated R have thus far escaped being pinned despite being one of the first teams involved. Aftermath whips Bart Phillips off the ropes and dropkicks him to the mat. Aftermath then tags in Cameron Jacques. Cameron puts the boots to Bart as they stand him up, whip him off the ropes and then miss with a double clothesline as Bart ducks it. He then gives Aftermath and Cameron Jacques a double dropkick to the mat and then goes for the tag only to fine no one home. Alvarez then pounces again and rolls Bart up for the pin attempt. 1...2...3! Diego has eliminated another team and it's down to two!

Ricky Simms - Dear God, this guy is a machine!

Henry Lesher - It's down to two teams. This might be the best performance I have seen in AW. I hate to admit that, but this is an impressive run.

Diego gets to his feet and finds himself in a fist fight with Cameron Jacques. Jacques thumbs Diego in the eye, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a dropkick to the mat. Jacques tags in Aftermath. They then gives Diego a double vertical suplex to the mat. Cameron Jacques then exits the ring while Aftermath tags in Diego, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a knee to the gut followed by a gut wrench suplex to the middle of the ring. Aftermath then goes for the pin. 1...2... Alvarez manages to kick out. Aftermath stands Alvarez up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him an inverted atomic drop from there. Diego then head butts Aftermath and then lands a shoulder roll to his corner where he tags in Rated R. Ryan charges into the ring and clotheslines Aftermath to the mat, but then turns and takes a super kick to the chin from Cameron Jacques. Aftermath then uses the ropes to get to his feet quickly and then puts the boots to the former GWO champion. Aftermath then stands Rated R up, whips him off the ropes and backdrops him over the top rope and down to the floor. Aftermath then attacks Diego Alvarez and the referee tries to break the two of them up. Outside the ring, Malice appears in the aisle and quickly makes his way over to Rated R. He picks Rated R up and slams him head first into the steel corner post. Malice then rolls Rated R into the ring before crouching at ringside. Aftermath then turns his attention to Rated R while Diego loses his temper.

Ricky Simms - Rated R is simply a broken man after all he's been through tonight.

Henry Lesher - Vesuvius' plan continues to unfold before our eyes. It's genius.

Aftermath makes his way to the top rope and poses once there. He then lands the Purgatory on Rated R and then goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Aftermath and Cameron Jacques are the AW tag team champions!

Ricky Simms - Rated R just had nothing left here.

Henry Lesher - Malice really made the difference. That's great. Other than Max, this is a decent group.

As the tag team champions celebrate, Diego tells the referee in vain what happened outside the ring. Rated R is motionless in the middle of the ring as our show then fades to black...
