"Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring plays as we see images of Eli Ryder, JC Michaels, Gary Barber, Vertigo, Joe Jones, Hoshi Yakamoto, Moose, Tommy Purr and Bruce Miller on the screen.
“Pure” by Helmet blast out over the arena PA, as Japhy Ryder steps out from the back accompanied to the ring by JC Michaels. Japhy is dressed in a dark suit with a blue shirt under it and a blue and white stripped tie on. JC is in his ring gear. The crowd boos loudly as the two men stride to the ring. They climb inside the ring as the boos continue to cascade down upon them, Japhy is handed a microphone and the music fades out.
Japhy – So how could I do it? How could I join forces with guys looking to take out my own son? How could I stand there and watch them take him down a notch? That’s what you all want to know right?
The crowd continues to boo.
Ricky Simms – I think everyone wants to know how someone could do that to their own son.
Henry Lesher – Well Eli has become a bit of a bitch lately.
Japhy – Well let me explain something to all of you sitting here that dropped your hard earned money to see this show, and to all the chumps in the back that hope to someday be legends in this business. It’s all about respect. Hell another wrestling program is doing their whole show about the lack of respect being shown to veterans by this younger generation of stars. And to be honest their right. I sit at home and I see guys like JC Michaels, Gary Barber, Shadow, Eternity, Dragon…world champions, over and over. Then you see all these clowns coming out of the woodwork looking for a hand out, some kind of payday they think they are entitled to. Boys do a better job of watching your money. Do have any idea how many times back in the day guys like me and JC worked some slime ball promoter who stiffed us? It’s called a learning experience, learn from it and move on. Then we got Joe Jones showing up here looking for money, talking about Deez Nutz and me crying…let me tell you a little something about Joe Jones and his pedigree. I once beat his uncle in a title back in the RWF and he was so unable to live with the fact that I was better than him on that night I ate like ten finishers after I pinned him…lack of respect and runs in the family. Joe go back to your little company up in the northeast and tend to it because you’re not needed here. They need leaders and great men to help lead this company and you’re neither.
Now who else we got around the CWA? Who else is going to lead the CWA? Tommy Purr? Please…he just admitted this week one of the most important things to him is being the best looking man in the CWA. Are you fucking kidding me? This is wrestling…you get hit in the face, you bleed, and he’s worried about being pretty? Who else? My son? Really?
Japhy looks closely into the camera.
Japhy – Eli, I’m talking to you now, so I want you to listen. Son, you don’t want any part of this war, it’s not your war to fight. These guys, the EVC, they are legends. They wrestle with class, they carry themselves with class and the treat one another with class. Eli, are you ready to bleed for the CWA? Are you ready to fight a battle you are certainly going to lose for the CWA? Are you ready to sacrifice that CWA World title to Gary Barber in this fight? Son, you worked hard to win that title and I’m proud of you, but you’re not half the wrestler or the man that Gary Barber is…it’s just a matter of time Eli. These people in the CWA don’t give a shit about you and they will gladly watch you fall. Son just walk away. I’ve known Shannon Skanes for a long time and I watched him build the CWA from the ground up. The one thing Myst gets now that she is in charge that all of you seem to be missing is that to put asses in the seats, to make people tune in on television, it’s not about flipping around, hell even Myst and Moose of the die hard CWA group were bitching just months ago before the EVC showed up about the good ole days of the CWA, when they had stars. There were no stars on this roster before the EVC showed.
The EVC is the past, the present and damn sure the future of the CWA. This was my chance to be part of an elite group of men and I’m proud to stand beside them in this fight. JC…do your thing.
Japhy tosses the mic to JC.
JC – And if you don’t like…we don’t care!
The music plays as the two men step from the ring smiling. Trash comes flying their way from the crowd as they head up the ramp to the back.
Precious is seen dressed in a Native American costume, complete with full feathered headdress. As Precious slips on her boots, Divas Champion Chastity steps into the picture and looks her up and down.
CHASTITY: Nice costume ... but it's going to take a lot more than fantasy-inducing attire to pull a win out against Missy.
PRECIOUS FAIRCHILD: Oh, Chastity, I thought I smelled fear and regret.
CHASTITY: I came on behalf of The Glamour Girls ... we all are just DYING to know which one of us you're going to challenge next week.
Chastity giggles as Precious glares at her.
CHASTITY: I mean, Precious, why go through the public humiliation ... how about I just give you a title shot and then defeat you next week and that way I can go on to face someone who actually stands a shot at taking this title from me? Why get your ass handed to you by all of us each week until you finally succumb to me?
PRECIOUS FAIRCHILD: Whether you like it or not, Chastity, I'm in this for the long haul. And I'm going to beat you at one of the biggest events of the year ... and I'm going to prove I can hang with you girls by bringing the fight to each of you. As far as my next challenge ... I hereby officially challenge Kathy Smith for next week.
CHASTITY: Very gutsy of you. Stupid. But gutsy.
Jordan Gibson steps in between the two glaring Divas, smiling deviously.
JORDAN GIBSON: Hello ladies ... booking our own matches again, I see?
CHASTITY: Shouldn't you be off, quivering in Myst's shadow or something?
JORDAN GIBSON: Oh, Chastity, I see you're as pleasant as always. Ladies, I was thinking, why don't we make this Kathy Smith/Precious Fairchild match interesting ... why not make it a Strange Bedfellows Mixed Tag Team Match?
CHASTITY: Please don't tell me that's your version of a Lingerie Pillow Fight.
PRECIOUS FAIRCHILD: There better be an interesting twist, Jordan.
JORDAN GIBSON: There is, ladies ... you two get to pick the opponent's male partners. People they would not normally tag with. It should make GREAT television.
Precious grins and nods her head.
PRECIOUS FAIRCHILD: Fair enough. Next week, Kathy will team up with Puck Slapper Julian!
CHASTITY: Ew! That pervert!!? He drilled a hole into the Divas lockerroom!
Chastity nods her head confidently and narrows her eyes, a grin creeping across her face.
CHASTITY: And they'll be facing you ... and The Masked Jobber!
Precious is stunned.
PRECIOUS FAIRCHILD: You can't pick The Masked Jobber! That's not fair.
CHASTITY: Yes it is ... last time I checked he was eligible to wrestle on a paid-per-appearance agreement ... so you and your little person will face Kathy and Julian. You really should have taken my offer, Precious ... you're not a wrestler, and you don't belong in my ring.
PRECIOUS FAIRCHILD: We'll see about that ...
Precious walks off as Chastity and Jordan watch her walk off toward the arena for her upcoming Gravy Bowl Match.
Precious Fairchild vs. Missy
"Not Falling" by Mudvayne plays as Missy makes her way onto the stage, accompanied by Kathy Smith. The two of them talk as they make their way towards the ring which has the gravy bowk inside of it. Missy shakes her head as she looks around at the crowd and she has a few words with Kathy at ringside before she pulls herself onto the ring apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. She doesn't seem impressed with the stipulation of this match at all. "I Am the Body Beautiful" by Salt N' Pepa hits the arena as Precious Fairchild steps out onto the stage. The crowd gives Precious a loud ovation as she comes out in her Native American costume. She steps down the stairs next to the stage where the pool of gravy rests. She takes a look at both Missy and Kathy Smith and shakes her head, annoyed that Missy actually brought back-up. Precious shakes her head disapprovingly. Suddenly, her music cuts out and "When I Grow Up" by The Pussycat Dolls blares through the PA and Sarah Darling steps out onto the stage to a loud ovation to support her BFF. Sarah is dressed in a turkey costume and waves to the fans. She makes her way down the ramp while Kathy is seen taking her spot at ringside and shouting words of encouragement to Missy.
Ricky Simms - And we are off to an odd start this week.
Henry Lesher - No, this is standard crap from a horrible company.
Precious steps into the ring and referee Casey Braun calls for the bell to get the action started. Missy locks up with Precious and then gives her a trip into the gravy. Missy then applies a side headlock on Precious who gets to her feet and then gives Missy an Angle slam into the gravy where she goes for the quick pin. 1...2... kick out by Missy. Precious then stands Missy up, whips her off the ropes and gives her a backdrop into the gravy. Precious then goes for a leg drop, but Missy rolls herself out of the way while we see Kathy applauding at ringside. Missy then quickly gets to her feet before she gives Precious a kick to the ribs. Missy then stands Precious up, whips her into the corner buckle and then gives her a series of kicks to the gut followed by a snap mare to the middle of the ring.
Ricky Simms - Strong showing right now for Missy.
Henry Lesher - No one cares, you know.
Missy places Precious in a sleeper hold while Sarah Darling is seen cheering her on from ringside. Precious slowly gets to her feet and then backs Missy into the corner buckle. Precious gives Missy a series of elbows to the gut which cause her to be able to break free of the hold and then she gives her a hip toss to the middle of the ring with a splash. Precious then stands Missy up, whips her off the ropes and brings her down with a dropkick to the chest. Precious then goes to the corner buckle and makes her way to the top rope. Missy gets to her feet, turns and takes a flying headscissors to the mat from Precious who then goes for the pin on Missy. 1...2... kick out by Missy.
Ricky Simms - That was a close one.
Henry Lesher - You know you're talking to yourself right. No self-respecting fan is watching this. Oh wait, we're talking about CWA fans here. Never mind.
Precious stands Missy up and whips her through the ropes and out to the floor. Casey Braun then has a few words with Precious about this as Sarah Darling moves towards Missy. Kathy then makes her way around the ring and starts arguing with Sarah while we see a woman enter through the crowd. She measures Missy for a clothesline that brings her down to the floor and then stands her up only to give her a brutal heart punch before rolling the soggy Missy back into the ring and then she escapes back into the crowd while Kathy finally takes notice that something is going on.
Ricky Simms - Who the hell was that?
Henry Lesher - A savior from this match, I hope.
Precious sees Missy is down and uses the ropes to execute a lionsault onto Missy before she hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2...3! Precious wins with a large hand given to her by an unknown assailant.
Ricky Simms - Precious gets the win and Missy is hurt. She isn't moving in there.
Henry Lesher - That's excellent. She took out a Glamour Girl. I like her.
Backstage, J.C. Michaels rounds the corner and comes upon the gorgeous Rebella DeCesare, her back turned to J.C., bent over slightly while tightening the strap on her high-heels. J.C. takes notice of Rebella's hiking mini-skirt and whistles casually. Rebella stands upright and shoots a nasty glare at J.C. and turns away from him again.
J.C. MICHAELS: Can't take a compliment, lady?
REBELLA DeCESARE: Not from you of all people.
Rebella is replying in a snide manner, she's obviously still wounded from her boyfriend Garth's sudden sabbatical from the CWA. J.C. surveys the leggy brunette up and down.
J.C. MICHAELS: So you must be not fairing so well with Business, Inc. suddenly outta' the picture, huh? You know-
Daniel McCoy enters the picture, stepping in front of Rebella, who looks more than relieved that McCoy is there to keep her away from J.C.
DANIEL McCOY: Ya' gotta' problem fella'? It's obvious my lady friend ain't got nothin' to say to ya' ... so quit starin' at her like yur momma' ain't feedin' ya'.
J.C. MICHAELS: Look Forrest Gump, I do believe me and your friend were having a conversation that doesn't include you. What's with you people in the Purr Clan always sticking your nose where it doesn't belong?
DANIEL McCOY: Ah' don't know ... what's the deal with the champion who is supposed to be defending his TV Title on TV every week NOT defending his title? What's with that?
J.C. MICHAELS: Are you trying to make a point ... country boy?
DANIEL McCOY: And people think Ah'm the slow one? Ah' want a shot at your TV Title ... you and yur buddies like to beat up helpless people, ya' like to embarrass people so bad ... well Ah' don't care what Tommy says, Ah'm gonna' go ahead and deal with ya' myself even if it goes against his wishes. You and me and that title are goin' to do some square-dancin' in that ring, boy.
J.C. MICHAELS: McCoy, I will be more than happy to defend this title against you. After all, I'll need the warm-up for a REAL contender.
DANIEL McCOY: Are you trying to say you're better than me?
J.C. MICHAELS: I don't need to. I just did.
DANIEL McCOY: It ain't gonna' be no roll in the hay, Michaels. Watch 'Deliverance,' and you'll see what I got in store for ya'.
J.C.'s eyes go wide for a moment as McCoy shoves past him. Rebella follows, coldly locking eyes with the TV Champion before disappearing down the corridor with McCoy.
Tommy Purr vs Bruce Miller
"The Memory Remains" by Metallica plays as Bruce Miller makes his way onto the stage dressed in a tuxedo and wearing sunglasses. The crowd gives him a solid ovation as he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He high fives fans at ringside and then pulls himself onto the apron, the gravy bowl having been removed from the previous match. He steps through the ropes into the ring and shakes his head as his music fades out and then we hear "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry. Tommy Purr makes his way onto the stage and he gets a loud ovation from the crowd. He is, of course, also wearing a tuxedo as he marches down the ramp towards the ring.
Ricky Simms - Two former champions here in this one.
Henry Lesher - Tommy will destroy Bruce, but I find myself kind of wishing he would lose.
Tommy makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring which allows referee Mary Sanderson to call for the bell. Bruce moves in to lock up with Tommy, but eye gouges him instead and knees him in the gut before whipping him through the ropes and out to the floor. Bruce then waits for Tommy to stand before landing s suicide dive on Tommy which brings him down to the floor. Bruce then rams Tommy's head into the floor before he stands him up and whips him shoulder first into the steel corner post of the ring. Bruce then rolls Tommy into the ring before rolling himself into the ring. Bruce puts the boots to Tommy and then stands him up, whips him off the ropes and ducks his head for a backdrop, but Tommy catches him with a kick to the face and then gives him a clothesline to the mat. Tommy then gives Bruce a knee to the forehead and then stands him up and whips him into the corner buckle where he lands a series of shoulder blocks on Bruce Miller.
Ricky Simms - Tommy is in total control here.
Henry Lesher - Well, there is no doubt that Tommy is the better wrestler in this one, none at all.
Tommy whips Bruce into the opposite corner and then gives him a drop toe hold to the mat from there. Tommy then applies a crossface chicken wing on Bruce while the fans start a chant for Tommy. Bruce manages to grab the bottom rope which forces Tommy to release the hold and Bruce scrambles out to the floor in order to regroup. Tommy climbs the ropes in the corner and then gives Bruce a flying body press on the floor. Tommy then stands Bruce up and whips him shoulder first into the steel corner post before giving him a German suplex to the floor. Tommy then stands Bruce up and rolls him into the ring before doing the same himself. Tommy then stands Bruce up, whips him off the ropes and then both men clothesline each other to the mat.
Ricky Simms - By the stipulation of this match, you can't win by knockout.
Henry Lesher - I don't want to hear of stipulations right now, Rick. Tommy is in the ring and I enjoy his matches. It's a good time for you to be quiet.
Tommy gets to his hands and knees and then manages to get to his feet. Bruce gets to his feet just in time to take a clothesline to the mat from Tommy who then picks Bruce up and then levels him with a power slam to the mat. Tommy then signals to the crowd who cheer as he stands Bruce up and then proceeds to level him with a Tommyknocker. Tommy then quickly strips Bruce of his tuxedo and the referee calls for the bell, raising Tommy's arm in victory.
Ricky Simms - Game performance by Bruce, but he wasn't able to take Tommy down.
Henry Lesher - Of course not. Tommy is a great man.
Tommy exits the ring with a smile on his face as he high fives fans on his way up the ramp and Bruce slowly comes to inside the ring. Myst is seen in her office, reading over contracts as there is a knock at her door.
Myst - Yes?
The door opens and Wyatt pokes his head in.
Wyatt Gibson - Can I have a minute?
Myst - Yeah, sure...
Wyatt Gibson - We have a large problem with the roster right now you need to look at.
Myst - Which is?
Wyatt Gibson - Well, it just seems and maybe it's the season and all, but the wrestlers don't have that desire right now.
Myst - Sit down.
Wyatt steps into the office and sits down across from Myst, looking quite concerned.
Myst - Elaborate.
Wyatt Gibson - We get these guys from BLPW and everyone gets excited, but it's been really slow. We have five matches tonight. That's it.
Myst - It is that season, Wyatt.
Wyatt Gibson - I think we need to get things going again heading into King of Philadelphia.
Myst - I'm listening.
Wyatt Gibson - Next week is the last Overdrive of 2008. Let's make it a good one.
Myst - How do you suggest we do that?
Wyatt Gibson - A gauntlet to decide seedings in King of Philadelphia.
Myst - That's double booking for some then, Wyatt.
Wyatt Gibson - We are in cutback mode, Myst. Maybe they need to show us that they want it. If they don't enter the gauntlet, they drop in seeding. They are still in the tournament, but they have a harder road. Maybe the top seeds get a first round bye?
Myst - Wyatt, this is the first really good idea you have had. I mean that. Book it and we'll see who really wants it. We'll know after next week who has the desire to succeed.
Wyatt smiles as he gets up and exits the office, allowing Myst to continue her contract reviews.
JC Michaels and Gary Barber vs. Vertigo and Joe Jones
"Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva plays as Vertigo and Joe Jones make their way onto the stage area where the crowd gives them a standing ovation. Jones and Vertigo walk ahoulder to ahoulder down the ramp towards the ring before they pull themselves onto the ring and apron and then they step through the ropes into the ring. Their music then fades and we hear "Suicide Messiah" by Black Label Society as JC Michaels and Gary Barber make their way onto the stage where the crowd greets them with the loudest boos of the night. They then make their way down the ramp towards the ring with their eyes locked on their opponents. They then pull themselves onto the apron and start trading ounches with Jones and Vertigo before they even get into the ring. Vertigo and Jones give Michaels and Barber upper cuts which sends them falling off the apron and down to the floor. Vertigo and Jones then rolls themselves out to the floor and the brawl is on.
Ricky Simms - These guys are not waiting for a bell to tell them when to start fighting.
Henry Lesher - I love brawls like this. Don't ruin it by talking.
Vertigo whips Gary Barber right over the guard railing into the crowd and then dives over the railing onto him while JC and Jones trade punches on the floor. JC slams Jones' face into the ring apron and then gives him a jawbreaker before Michaels rolls Jones into the ring and then rolls himself in which finally allows referee Rob Rai to call for the bell. JC goes for the quick pin on Jones. 1...2... kick out by Jones which sends Michaels right back out to the floor. Jones rolls himself back out as well and then starts trading ounches with JC once again while Vertigo backdrops Barber back over the guard railing to ringside. JC Michaels thumbs Joe Jones in the eye and then picks him up and slams him to the floor only to take a clothesline to the floor from Vertigo who puts the boots to JC while Rob Rai warns him that he is not the legal man. Vertigo nods, stands JC up and rolls him into the ring as Jones rolls himself in and goes for the pin on JC. 1...2... kick out by JC Michaels.
Ricky Simms - The referee has his hands full with this one.
Henry Lesher - Just let them fight. That's how it should be.
Jones stands JC up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a spinning heel kick abck down to the mat and then pulls him to his corner where Vertigo is now available to tag in. Vertigo tags in and he and Jones give JC a double vertical suplex to the mat. Vertigo then stands JC up, whips him off the ropes and JC ducks a clothesline before giving Vertigo a reverse neckbreaker to the mat and then JC goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Vertigo. JC stands Vertigo up, whips him into the corner buckle and then charges for a shoulder block only to take raised knees to the chest from Vertigo who then climbs to the second rope and then levels JC with a shoulder tackle from there before Vertigo goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by JC Michaels. Vertigo then stands JC up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a dropkick that sends him back down to the mat. Vertigo then goes to the corner and starts climbing the ropes. He poses on the top rope, leaps off and misses with a frog splash as JC rolls out of the way and then tags in Gary Barber. Barber enters the ring and starts putting the boots to Vertigo.
Ricky Simms - Barber is the fresh man in this match right now.
Henry Lesher - JC and Gary have a great advantage in this match as they have teamed together many times before. That will be tough for Jones and Vertigo to overcome.
Gary Barber stands Vertigo up, whips him off the ropes and gives him a clothesline to the mat and then lands an elbow to the throat on Vertigo before he hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Vertigo. Barber then stands Vertigo up, whips him off the ropes and then gives him a backdrop to the mat. Barber then stands vertigo up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a knee to the gut before placing him on the top rope. Barber then climbs the ropes and follows that up by giving Vertigo a superplex to the mat and then he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Vertigo and Barber argues the count with the referee.
Ricky Simms - Gary Barber thought he had him there.
Henry Lesher - I tend to agree.
Barber stands Vertigo up, whips him off the ropes and Vertigo ducks a clothesline and then Joe Jones tags his back as Vertigo comes back to the middle of the ring where Barber knees him in the gut and then gives him a power bomb to the mat. Barber then takes a clothesline off the top rope from Joe Jones who then rolls him into a small package for the pin. 1...2...3! JC Michaels enters the ring to make the save a moment too late, but he continues to put the boots to Jones despite the bell. Jones rolls himself out of the ring to the floor and Michaels has a few choice words with the referee regarding this result.
Ricky Simms - JC cannot believe they lost.
Henry Lesher - Sneaky tag by Jones and he gets the win with Vertigo. I'm sure Barber and Michaels will be wiser next time they square off. They don't make the same mistake twice.
Tommy Purr is sitting in his locker room with Damien Shaw talking to Hoshi Yakamoto when there is a knock at the door.
Tommy – It’s open.
The door opens and in steps Eli Ryder. For a change Eli is dressed fairly nicely, wearing a pair of grey wool dress pants and black button up shirt. Tommy cocks and eyebrow as he is a tad surprised to say the least to see his younger brother walking into his dressing room.
Tommy – Well this is a bit of a surprise. What can we do for you champ?
Eli – Ummm…(visibly nervous, as he wrings his hands) actually Hoshi I’m glad you’re here too. I’d like you guys to come with me for a second.
Tommy – Are you serious?
Eli – Well yeah…today is Kira’s birthday and I got her something I want you guys to see…I mean you guys are family with us…right…I think.
Tommy – Oh what the hell, it’s like a car wreck…I don’t really want to see whatever it is you got, but I don’t think I can look away either.
The three of them get up and follow Eli out of the room.
"Mine Teil" by Rammstein plays and the crowd gets to their feet as Vesuvius makes his way onto the stage, shaking his head. He makes his way down the ramp towards the ring and looks around at the crowd who are giving him a rather mixed reaction before he spits on the floor and then rolls himself under the bottom rope into the ring. He gets to his feet with a microphone already in hand.
Vesuvius - I retire. I leave the CWA. I get painted as a woman beater by the brilliant writers in this company and I am okay with that. I am okay with being retired, living off the money I have made in this business and with a tarnished reputation.
He pauses and looks around, taking a few deep breaths before he continues.
Vesuvius - I watch Myst become the owner and no one gives a damn that Shannon gave everything for this place for years. I watch as Dragon botches a move inside a cage and injures Scavenger and no one gives a damn as a man who bled CWA colors for years is sidelined.
He pauses again and paces inside the ring before he continues.
Vesuvius - Where are the heroes? I know I never played the hero particularly well. Hell, I always worked better as the man to hate, but this company is full of selfish people right now. It's like WCW about a year before they went out of business.
He scowls as the fans start a "V-Man" chant.
Vesuvius - No, I didn't come out here so you could like me or cheer for me. I came out to tell you that this company is in trouble and someone needs to get the heroes in this company to give a damn. That's why I sent one of my angels out here to drill Missy earlier tonight.
Ricky Simms - That was an Anarchy Angel?
Henry Lesher - A group slightly less useful than the Glamour Girls.
Vesuvius - Missy, you're a beautiful and talented woman. What are you doing in a humiliating shit match like that? People say I abuse women? That was a storyline, a badly written storyline mind you, but only a storyline. Missy was turned into a sideshow freak and it needs to stop. I will send my people to do my bidding to save this show and make it what it can be. I will give you heroes because no one in the back has the courage to be a hero anymore.
He throws the microphone down to the mat and then rolls himself out of the ring to the floor and starts to make his way up the ramp towards the backstage area when we hear "Where Eagles Dare" by The Misfits and Moose makes his way onto the stage, also carrying a microphone.
Moose - Hold on there, V-Man. You can't just throw down like that and leave. I worked for you. I remember what working for you was like and you can't give us some damned speech about heroism when you're sending your people out here like cowards.
The crowd cheers as vesuvius charges at Moose, but Moose raises a hand and smirks before he continues.
Moose - You had better consider that, Vesuvius. I am the closest thing to a real wrestler in the CWA right now and I will knock your damned ass out. I get enough of a headache with the BLPW crowd around here, so I don't need you reminding me of AW while we're at it. Next week, you'll see who the hero of the CWA is. It certainly isn't you. I just got signed for a title match, V-Man. Next week, Eli faces me and you'll be free to leave again. No one wants you around here anyway.
Moose turns and exits while Vesuvius has been left speechless and the crowd cheers wildly.
Ricky Simms - Moose gets a title shot?
Henry Lesher - I have ears, Rick. I heard it, too.
Backstage, the group of Eli, Tommy, Damien and Hoshi arrive at Eli’s dressing room, where his name is on the door.
Tommy – You get your own dressing room?
Eli – Yeah, why?
Tommy – No reason…I mean why shouldn’t he get his own dressing room. (Tommy rolls his eyes)
Eli opens the door and walks inside, where Kira is sitting listening to her Ipod and singing, not noticing the group that has just walked in.
Damien – Well at least she has clothes on this time.
Tommy and Damien high five and chuckle, while Hoshi shoots a glare in their direction. Eli walks forward and touches Kira on the shoulder. Startled she jumps a bit.
Kira – You scared me half to death.
Eli – Sorry.
Kira stands up looking at the motley crew that stands in front of her.
Kira – What’s all this.
Eli – Well it’s your birthday, and I have something for you.
Kira – Eli, really…I don’t think they should be here for that…I thought we would wait until after the show…
Eli – Not that.
Kira – Oh…
A slight chuckle comes from the three watching this.
Eli – Look Kira, about eight months ago we met, and to be honest it’s been a great eight months. Granted I got thrown through a car window, into a dumpster and my ass beat more times then I can count. But I wouldn’t change any of it. And you’ve been there with me the whole time, while I was laying in a hospital bed after what AJ did to me, you were there the whole time. I want you to be there all the time.
Tommy – Awwww…how sweet.
This time everyone in the room shoots an evil glare in Tommy’s direction.
Tommy – What? I was being sincere…really.
Eli reaches into his pocket, and drops down to one knee. Hoshi gasp and covers her mouth with her hands, as Damien’s jaw drops, and Tommy looks like he has seen a ghost. Eli holds the black velvet box in his hand and opens it slowly. He holds it up to Kira, who has tears welling up in her eyes.
Eli – Kira Yakamoto…will you marry me?
Kira fans her eyes with her hands rapidly to try and kept he tears from running down her face.
Kira – Yes.
She takes the ring and slides it on her finger as Eli climbs to his feet, Kira throws her arms around him and squeezes tightly. Kira shrieks loudly as Hoshi runs over and like girls do when there is a ring around they begin to scream inaudibly as they point and gush about the ring. Eli turns to Tommy and Damien.
Eli – Thanks for being here.
Tommy - Good job Eli. Wow that didn't even leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Eli - Give it a second.
Tommy - Oh there it is.
The Nameless vs. Hoshi Yakamoto
"I.V." by X-Japan plays as The Nameless steps out onto the stage, the crowd giving him a loud chorus of boos tonight based on who he is fighting. He stands on the stage for a moment as he takes a few deep breaths while looking around at the fans. He then makes his way down the ramp towards the ring in his usual methodical manner. Nameless then slowly makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. He paces inside the ring as his music fades and then we hear "Switch 625" by Def Leppard and the crowd cheers wildly as Hoshi Yakamoto makes her way onto the stage. Hoshi waves to the crowd and is clearly happy with the news that her sister is getting married. Hoshi then quickly makes her way down the ramp and jumps onto the apron before she leaps to the top rope and then she leaps from the top and lands a dropkick to the chest on Nameless that staggers him and sends him falling backwards into the corner. Hoshi then quickly gets to her feet and gives Nameless a series of knife edge chops to the chest which he answers by shoving her to the mat while referee Mark Davis clals for the bell to get the match officially underway.
Ricky Simms - Hoshi went for the fast start and Nameless threw her down like a rag doll.
Henry Lesher - I might really enjoy this one, Rick.
Nameless grabs Hoshi around the throat and stands her up. She gives him a series of kicks to the gut and then she shoves him back to the ropes before giving him a dropkick to the chest that sends him right over the top rope and out to the floor. Hoshi then waits for Nameless to stand, then she goes for a springboard body press onto Nameless, but he catches her out of mid air and then gives her a spinning power slam to the floor. Nameless then stands over her while the crowd boos. He then grabs her by the hair and pulls her to her feet where she then gives him a kick to the knee and then gives him a jawbreaker. Hoshi then gets to her feet and quickly pulls herself back into the ring only to have Nameless grab her foot and pull her back out to the floor.
Ricky Simms - Hoshi is in a bad place here.
Henry Lesher - She is so happy Kira is engaged. It's a shame she won't live to see the wedding.
Nameless reaches for Hoshi on the floor, but she dives and heads under the ring. Nameless drops to his knees and reaches under the ring for her. Hoshi pops out from under the ring on the opposite side of it and then she slips back into the ring. Nameless gets to his feet and then pulls himself onto the apron where Hoshi gives him a dropkick that sends him back down to the floor. Hoshi then goes to the ropes in the corner and quickly makes her way to the top. Nameless stands and takes a missile dropkick from Hoshi that sends him right into the guard railing. Hoshi then quickly gets to her feet and heads back into the ring while the fans start a chant for her.
Ricky Simms - Hoshi knows she has to stay out of Nameless' reach here.
Henry Lesher - That's smart on her part. It's the only time I will ever clal her smart.
Nameless again gets to his feet on the floor and then makes his way up the ring steps onto the apron. He then steps over the top rope into the ring and moves towards Hoshi. She gives Nameless a knife edge chop to the chest and then a series of kicks to the knees. Hoshi then goes to the corner buckle, jumps to the top rope and goes for a missile dropkick, but Nameless catches her in mid air and gives her a sidewalk slam to the mat where he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Hoshi. Nameless then grabs Hoshi around the throat, stands her up and then sets for a choke slam, but Hoshi gives Nameless a series of punches to the gut which weaken his hold. She then drops to break free of the choke, but Nameless catches her with a kick to the face when she does so.
Ricky Simms - That had to hurt.
Henry Lesher - I hope it did.
Nameless stands Hoshi up, knees her in the gut and then picks her up before delivering the Reaperdemption on her and then he goes for the pin. 1...2...3! The Nameless gets a win over a very courageous Hoshi Yakamoto this week.
Ricky Simms - Hoshi gave it all she had.
Henry Lesher - And he crushed her for it. I love The Nameless. He is a CWA hero in my eyes.
Vesuvius is seen on his way out of the building when he is headed off by Wyatt Gibson.
Vesuvius - Look what the cat dragged in.
Wyatt Gibson - I could say the same for you. What the hell are you doing here?
Vesuvius - Making the show interesting and giving the fans some hope.
Wyatt Gibson - Just stay out of the ring. You have no contract with us and neither does anyone you associate with.
Vesuvius - You sure about that?
Wyatt Gibson - There's no way Myst would sign you on or anyone you have working for you.
Vesuvius - Wyatt, you need to stop being so naive. Ask Jordan what's going on. Ask Jordan what she knows.
Wyatt Gibson - My sister would have nothing to do with you. You're nothing.
Vesuvius - Now, Wyatt, don't hurt my feelings here. You might say something you can't take back. Go ask your sister. Ask her what she knows.
Vesuvius continues his exit from the arena while Wyatt looks concerned and we head back to the ring.
Eli Ryder vs. Shadow
"Stem" by Crossbreed plays as Shadow makes his way onto the stage where the crowd greets him with a loud chorus of boos. Shadow smirks towards the camera before he makes his way down the ramp towards the ring. He then pulls himself onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. He then glares towards the stage as his music fades and then we hear "For You" by Paperback Hero and Eli Ryder steps out onto the stage where the crowd gives him one of the loudest ovations of the night. He has the CWA title over his shoulder as he makes his way to ringside and then he hands the title belt off the timekeeper before he steps up onto the apron and then steps through the ropes into the ring. Referee Steve Blake calls for the bell to get the match started. Eli moves in and Shadow offers to shake hands. Eli answers with a laugh and slaps Shadow across the face. They then start trading punches while the crowd cheers the violence.
Ricky Simms - This should be a classic.
Henry Lesher - Shadow was willing to be a gentleman before the match and Eli slaps him across the face. How is he the good guy here?
Shadow knees Eli in the gut and then gives him a series of forearm smashes to the jaw which drive him into the corner buckle before he then gives Eli a hip toss to the middle of the ring. Shadow then kicks Eli in the back before placing him in an abdominal stretch. The referee checks for a submission, but Eli refuses to give up. Eli then shows signs of powering out of the hold. Shadow struggles to hold onto it, but Eli manages to give him a hip toss to the mat and then Eli whips Shadow out through the ropes to the floor.
Ricky Simms - An early attempt by Shadow to wear the champ down failed there.
Henry Lesher - Shadow is the better wrestler, though. You'll see that soon here.
Eli drops and rolls himself out to the floor with Shadow. Eli gives Shadow a knee to the gut and Shadow then gives Eli a thumb to the eye. Shadow then slams Eli's head into the steel ring steps and then whips him into the guard railing. Shadow then picks Eli up and slams him onto the announce table.
Ricky Simms - The perils of announcing rear their ugly head again.
Henry Lesher - I love this.
Shadow steps up onto the ring apron and then dives off, giving Eli a leg drop that sends him right through the table and down to the floor. Shadow then stands Eli up, rolls him into the ring and then does the same himself before he goes for the pin. 1...2... Eli gets a foot on the bottom rope. Shadow stands Eli up, whips him into the corner buckle and then gives him a series of kicks to the gut that cause the champ to fall down. Shadow then boot chokes him, using the ropes for leverage while the referee threatens to disqualify him.
Ricky Simms - Shadow is in complete control of this match right now.
Henry Lesher - Of course he is. He is simply better than Eli as I said.
Shadow steps off of Eli, then pulls him to his feet and Eli gives Shadow a right hook to the jaw and then whips him off the ropes and lands a lariat on him that brings him down to the mat. Eli then stands Shadow up and then gives him a scoop slam to the mat. Eli then gives Shadow a knee to the forehead and then he pulls Shadow to the ropes, places his throat over the bottom rope and then puts a knee to the back of his neck, choking him while the referee is now threatening to disqualify him. Eli releases the choke, stands Shadow up and whips him off the ropes and then gives him a tilt a whirl backbreaker before he goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Shadow. The fans start booing as we see both JC Michaels and Gary Barber coming down the aisle. Eli sees them coming and turns his attention to them. JC slides in first and Eli nails him with a right hand. Gary follows and Eli clotheslines him! Eli is pumping himself up as the crowd is going nuts!
Henry Lesher - Eli is holding his own in there!
Suddenly from behind Shadow clobbers him with a forearm to the back of the head. As Eli drops to his knees, Gary nails him with a Shining Wizard! JC slides outside the ring and grabs the time keepers steel chair.
Henry Lesher - Oh no this is gonna get ugly.
Ricky Simms - This isn't good at all!
JC drops the chair on the mat, and Shadow grabs Eli's arm and extends it over top of the chair. Gary is holding Eli down as JC is starting to climb to the top rope.
Ricky Simms - Oh no, they're gonna try and break Eli's arm!
Henry Lesher - No...THEY ARE gonna break his arm!
Suddenly the fans are cheering as Moose is running down the aisle with a chair in hand. The EVC see him coming and they decide to exit the ring as Moose slides in and is shaking his head towards them.
Henry Lesher - Well I think it's clear that Moose wants Eli at 100% for his title match next week.
Ricky Simms - Yeah he doesn't want there to be any excuses if he does win the match.
The EVC are pointing at Moose in the ring, as Moose is still calling them into the ring.
Ricky Simms - Eli wins by disqualification and Moose makes the save as EVC tried to injure him.
Henry Lesher - Eli is lucky.
Ricky Simms - Next week, we will see if the champ's luck runs out.
We fade to black on a shot of the retreating EVC as the CWA logo flashes across the screen.
