Oakland, CA
It is a packed house tonight for another great edition of Overdrive. Some of the fans are chanting the names of various wrestlers even before the show has begun, the energy of the event amazing to see and hear. Before the credits roll, we see Sal Clemenzo in Tony Parizi's office.
Tony Parizi - I need you to keep an eye on our world champion tonight.
Sal Clemenzo - Why can't your partner take care of that job?
Tony Parizi - Because Shannon is too close to the situation to be an effective control for her.
Sal Clemenzo - What exactly am I supposed to control?
Tony Parizi - Her ego is far too big for her to see real threats coming when they do. Tonight she is in a dangerous match with dangerous people. I need someone as dangerous and that points to you.
Sal Clemenzo - Fine then, I won't let you down Tony.
Tony Parizi - For the amount of money I pay you, you had better not.
As Sal then turns and leaves the office, we hear "Escape From Hellview" by CKY and see images of Myst, Rated R, Slim PIckens, The Dying Breed, Stevie James, Leech, The Moose, Devo, Kosmic Kitty and Mordecai Darius before we head to ringside where Carl Simms and Henry Lesher are set to call tonight's action.
Max Cameron vs Bob
"The Bum Bum Song" starts to play and we get our first GWO glance on screen at Bob as some in the crowd know of him and start a chant for Mnoose. Bob gets a warm reaction from most based on his underdog status and the fact that he is against one of the most hated men in the GWO. As Bob steps onto the apron and then into the ring, we hear "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC and then out comes Max Cameron to a wide chorus of boos from the crowd. He holds his UWA Xtreme title high above his head and then shows it to the camera as he continues on his way to ringside. He then hands his title belt to the ref who passes it on to the timekeeper before Max enters the ring and the bell sounds with Max still not sure what to make of Bob here this week.
Henry Lesher - And with the sound of that bell, my hopes and dreams of a good week are dashed.
Carl Simms - I had the same feeling when I saw you sitting here tonight.
Henry Lesher - Hey, kid, I zing. I do not get zinged.
Bob and Max lock up in the center of the ring. Bob breaks that lock up and shoves Max hard into the corner. He then screams "Mnoose!" and the crowd echoes him. Max takes a confused glance towards the crowd, then cautiously approaches Bob again. He raises his hands as if to try for a test of strength. Bob raises his hands and takes a kick in the ribs from Max who then lands a series of knife-edge chops on Bob that drive him into the corner. Bob responds with an eye gouge on Max, then headbutts him down to the mat where Bob then lands a splash on him and hooks the leg for the attempted pin. 1...2... kick out by Max who then rolls himself out of the ring cursing. He paces a bit outside the ring, then grabs the ropes and pulls himself onto the apron. He tells the ref to hold Bob back so he can enter the ring undisturbed. The ref does so and Max enters the ring as the fans start chanting "You suck" in his direction.
Henry Lesher - I believe the fans are chanting this at both wrestlers which would make them correct for a damned change.
Carl Simms - I am starting to see why my father chose to wrestle over sitting here any longer.
Henry Lesher - I would listen to you, but coming out of my long relationship with your father, I know you're the rebound announcer between serious ones.
Inside the ring, Bob and Max lock up again. Bob breaks the hold, elbows Max in the chest and then places him in a headlock. Max then punches Bob in the ribs, then whips him off the ropes and takes a shoulder block from Bob that sends him to the mat. Bob then tries to land an elbow smash, but finds no one home when Max rolls out of the way. Max then quickly gets to his feet and puts the boots to Bob before he has a chance to get up. Max then leg drops Bob across the throat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Bob manages to kick out. Max then stands Bob up, whips him off the ropes and drops him with a clothesline that appears to strain Max's shoulder due to Bob's sheer mass.
Henry Lesher - Max injures himself, proving why he will never be a great champion.
Carl Simms - He won the UWA Xtreme title last week!
Henry Lesher - Yes, but what has he done this week? Nothing, that's what.
Max places Bob into a sleeper hold. The ref checks for a submission, but Bob is already making his hands into fists and starting to show signs of coming back here. Bob grabs the ropes and the ref forces the break as Max protests that Bob, in fact, never reached the ropes. The ref and Max argue this point for a few moments, which allows Bob a chance to punch Max in the gut. Bob then lands a DDT on Max and goes for the pin. 1...2... Max gets a foot on the bottom rope. Bob then stands Max up, whips him off the ropes and Max ducks a clothesline. Max then kicks Bob in the gut and then drops him with the Maximum Impact and rolls him over for the pin. 1...2...3! Max Cameron continues his winning ways here tonight. Max then grabs the microphone before Shelley Morris can announce him as the winner here.
Max Cameron - Another one dispatched by me! I should be the champion of the GWO! I am the one getting screwed over around here! *hears the crowd booing him and scowls* Shut up! None of you know me, so none of you can judge me! I demand a title shot next week! The event bears the name of my finishing move and I deserve...
Max's words are halted when we hear "96 Quite Bitter Beings" by CKY and Shannon Skanes makes his way to the ring not appearing to be impressed by Max here.
Shannon Skanes - *pulling the microphone from Max's hands* Max, you want a shot at my wife, huh? You want Myst, the woman you cannot beat, and a shot at her title! You got it, pal! Next week, inside a steel cage, Max Cameron against Myst and you'll then become a memory and damned fast!
Max starts throwing rights and lefts to the head of Shannon Skanes, driving him into the corner. Shannon then answers with a series of knife edge chops on Max before whipping him off the ropes and then backdropping him over the top and to the floor as the crowd cheers.
Henry Lesher - If that's the main event of the night, maybe I do have better things to do that night.
Backstage we see Kosmic Kitty in Tony Parizi's office. She is nervous about the upcoming ladies' man match tonight.
Tony Parizi - Look, Kitty, the cage is safe. Trust me on that.
Kosmic Kitty - I'm gonna be alone in there and...
There is a knock at the door and Tony Parizi and Kosmic Kitty turn and see Lethal Weapon there.
Lethal Weapon - Oh, sorry, wrong office.
He then quickly exits the office and Kitty cocks her head and turns to Tony.
Kosmic Kitty - Who was that?
Tony Parizi - Weapon... probably here to see Stevie James.
Jack Spade vs Eddie Vines
"Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne plays as Jack Spade makes his way to the ring, which brings the crowd to their feet. Alicia leads the way as he high fives the crowd.
Henry Lesher - The town of Moron just gained a citizen.
Carl Simms - And you're the mayor.
"Eat You Alive" by Limp Bizkit plays as Eddie Vines makes his way to the ring and the crowd responds to him with loud boos. He takes a swipe at one teenager in the front row, then jumps onto the apron and has a few words for Jack Spade before he steps through the ropes and the bell sounds to get this match started. The two men lock up in the middle of the ring. Eddie quickly breaks it, arm bars Jack Spade and then bits his arm. The ref forces the break and has a few words with Eddie who then kicks Jack Spade in the back of the knee. Eddie pulls Jack to the mat and quickly slaps on a camel clutch and leans back for all he's worth to either force the submission or break Jack's back, whatever comes first. Jack quickly moves his feet around towards the ropes as the fans start a chant for him with Alicia leading the way.
Henry Lesher - Never ceases to amaze me how these idiots cheer for the wrong people. Eddie is a wonderful wrestler whose cannibalism is greatly misunderstood.
Carl Simms - I could say the same of you.
Jack Spade does manage to hook the bottom rope with his foot and the ref forces the break. Eddie quickly gets to his feet and has a few words with the ref and even lunges towards him not unlike how a guard dog might at the end of a leash. Eddie then grabs Jack by the hair, stands him up and proceeds to bite his nose. The crowd boos and the ref quickly separates the two and has a few words for Eddie again. Eddie then headbutts Jack Spade into the corner and lands a series of punches to the chest on him, then wraps his right arm around the rope and starts biting his hand. The ref again pushes Eddie off.
Henry Lesher - This ref is in trouble and doesn't seem to understand that.
Jack then battles back with a series of kicks to the gut on Eddie Vines that he follows up with a series of forearm smashes to the chin. Jack then headbutts Eddie to the center of the ring and then lands a standing dropkick on Vines, which drops him to the mat. Jack then executes a lionsault on Eddie and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Eddie Vines. Jack Spade then heads to the ropes and makes his way to the top as the fans cheer him on. He lands a Senton bomb on Eddie Vines and goes for the pin once more. 1...2... Eddie gets a foot on the bottom rope to keep the match going. Jack then stands Eddie up, whips him off the ropes and tries for a dropkick, but Eddie holds the ropes and watches Jack dropkick air before landing hard on the mat. Eddie then puts the boots to Jack and then picks him up and body slams him to the mat. Eddie then places Jack into an ankle lock and decides to bite the ankle at the same time. The ref again is forced to break things up. Eddie almost takes a shot at the ref, then turns to Jack who in using the ropes to get to his feet and spits what appears to be blood in his face.
Carl Simms - Sick is not even close to describing how disturbed this man truly is.
Henry Lesher - I know. I think it's a wonderful thing.
Vines kicks Jack in the ribs. Jack responds with an elbow to the ribs on Eddie, then a DDT before Jack rolls himself out of the ring and grabs a steel chair. Alicia pleads with Jack not to do this even as he rolls himself back into the ring, chair in hand. Eddie rolls himself out of the ring upon seeing the chair in Spade's hands. The ref tries to reason with Jack Spade even as Eddie grabs a chair of his own and then rolls himself into the ring. The ref backs away as both men rear back for chair shots. They both clock each other and the ref calls for the bell. The match is declared a no contest. Eddie then low blows Jack Spade and chair shots him to the mat. He stands over him and appears ready to clock him again when security arrives inside the ring. A few of them take chair shots before they finally manager to pull Eddie away from Jack Spade.
Henry Lesher - Who called them out to ruin everything?
Carl Simms - Eddie Vines is a very sick man and next week is set to face off against Leech. I shudder to think of what might happen in that match.
Henry Lesher - I shudder as well, but I hardly imagine we mean that the same way.
We then head to commercial.
We see Devo and Suende at a local shopping mall, both of them scowling. "It's hard being so full of hate in a world so full of pastels and garbage," Devo says as he glares at a Bootlegger in the mere hopes of it bursting into flames by his mental suggestion. "Seeing a need in the marketplace, we filled it," Suende says as they walk into a Hallmark store. She picks up a greeting card that says on the front 'Wish you were here.' She opens it and it reads 'But you're not, so burn in hell' and there is a picture of Devo giving the camera the finger. "See? This brings everything into focus, the new 'Burn in Hell' series from Hallmark. Sometimes you're so full of hate you have to share it with people," Suende says and her and Devo leave the store as we fade to the Hallmark logo.
Radd Matthews vs Thunder
"Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional begins to play and Radd Matthews makes his way to the ring, which brings the fans to their feet. Radd high fives fans on his way to the ring and then steps onto the apron and poses once for the crowd, which causes a lot of camera flashes. Radd steps through the ropes and starts stretching as we hear "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC and Thunder is led to the ring by Marla Storme as pyro goes off from the entranceway in all directions. Thunder then lowers his head and continues his march towards the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Henry Lesher - Thunder has great potential. If I managed him, maybe he'd go somewhere.
Carl Simms - Yes, like BasketKase you mean?
Henry Lesher - Shut up.
Thunder steps over the top rope and the bell sounds to get this match started. Radd stands in the corner for a few moments, leaning against the ropes and sizing up his competition this week. He then comes to the center of the ring and lock up with Radd Matthews. Thunder quickly raises a knee to the ribs of Radd Matthews, then lands a forearm smash on Radd and then whips him off the ropes and clotheslines Radd to the mat. Thunder then stands Radd up, whips him off the ropes and then lands a big boot to the chest on Radd that drops him to the mat. Thunder then has a few words for Radd about the tag titles and where they rightfully belong and slaps him across the face. Thunder then stands Radd up, whips him into the corner and charges in for a shoulder block that misses when Radd sidesteps it. Radd then grabs Thunder by the hair and slams the back of his head off the mat with a quick hair pull. Radd then pulls Thunder to the center of the ring and applies a figure four leglock on him as the crowd cheers him on.
Carl Simms - Radd wearing the bigger man down here.
Henry Lesher - Radd is alone here. At least Thunder's tag team partner cares enough to be at ringside for this match.
Carl Simms - That's not a fair measure of Kitty's alliance with Radd at all. They are the tag champions.
Henry Lesher - Oh come on, you've heard the backstage rumors about her and Stevie and why he picked her for the cage...
Carl Simms - Those are just rumors, nothing factual about them.
Inside the ring, Thunder tries to turn the hold over as the crowd starts a chant for Radd. Thunder pulls himself towards the ropes. Radd tries to tighten the hold. The ref keeps checking on Thunder for a possible submission here. Thunder lunges and manages to grab the bottom rope as the ref then forces the break. Radd quickly gets to his feet, then pulls Thunder up to his feet. Thunder elbows Radd in the gut, then whips him off the ropes and gives him a tilt a whirl slam to the mat. Thunder then grabs Radd by the hair, pulls him to his feet, then sets him up for a power slam to the mat and goes for the pin after that. 1...2... kick out by Radd Matthews. Outside the ring we see Marla Storme applauding the work of her tag team partner here.
Henry Lesher - See, a proper tag partner is out here cheering their partner on.
Carl Simms - Stop trying to make Kitty look bad.
Henry Lesher - I don't need to try. She does that perfectly well herself.
Thunder stands Radd up and whips him through the ropes to the floor. Thunder then heads out of the ring to the floor himself, grabs Radd again by the hair and slams his head into the guard railing before he dumps Radd over the railing into the crowd. Thunder then steps over the guard railing, grabs Radd by the hair and starts pulling him to his feet again. Radd lands a jawbreaker on Thunder and then pulls himself over the railing and back into the ringside area. He then rolls himself into the ring. We can see a trickle of blood running down the cheek of Radd as he uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet. The crowd cheers as Thunder pulls himself over the railing and then takes a la plancha from Radd Matthews on the floor. Radd then rolls Thunder into the ring and then rolls himself inside and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Thunder. Radd stands Thunder up, whips him off the ropes and dropkicks him to the mat. Radd then heads for the ropes. Marla makes her way around the ring and has a few words for Radd as he stands on the top. Radd has a few words with her as Thunder gets to his feet.
Henry Lesher - This is why people with small IQs should never wrestle.
Thunder grabs Radd and slams him off the top rope. Thunder then picks Radd up and lands a sit down power bomb on him and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Thunder pulls off the win here over Radd Matthews.
Carl Simms - A moment's distraction was all Thunder needed to get the win here this week, a setback for Radd heading into his match with Rated R next week.
Henry Lesher - He has a lot on his mind, what with Kitty and Stevie hanging out together and stuff.
Carl Simms - Stop trying to make people think ill of Kitty.
Thunder leaves the ring with Marla at his side as they head to the back. We then look backstage and find Leech and Moose entering the arena where Joe Davidson heads them off.
Joe Davidson - A moment of your time to discuss tonight's match?
Leech - Well, well, well, Ricky's best friend Joe asking questions. Listen I have a message for Ricky I want you to deliver.
Joe Davidson - What's that?
Leech clubs Joe in the jaw with a right hook, then stands him up and throws him head first into the wall. Moose then grabs Joe by the hair, and delivers a Moosedriver on him on the floor! Leech then crouches down next to the fallen and bleeding Joe.
Leech - Tell Ricky that playtime is over. After tonight, he'll be lucky if he even walks again, much less wrestles.
The Dawg vs Rayn
"Who Let the Dawgs Out" by Baha Men plays as The Dawg makes his way to the ring. He is half way down the aisle when Rayn appears from the back and attacks The Dawg with a series of doubles ax handle smashes across the back. Rayn then tries to pick The Dawg up, but has problems picking the man up and Dawg elbows Rayn in the back, then gives Rayn a body slam on the floor. The Dawg then follows that up by grabbing Rayn by the hair and then dragging him to ringside. He then stands Rayn up and tries to whip him into the steel ring steps, but Rayn reverses it and The Dawg's shoulder slams into the ring steps instead. Rayn then rolls The Dawg into the ring and poses once for the fans on the floor before he enters the ring.
Carl Simms - This fight comes from The Dawg's obsession with getting a shot at Myst and her title.
Henry Lesher - It's a sad little match between two sad little people.
Carl Simms - I have heard The Dawg described a lot of ways, but little is a new one.
The bell sounds to start the match as Rayn stands The Dawg up and then places him in a hammerlock. Dawg tries to reach with his free arm for Rayn, but cannot so he instead stomps on the foot of Rayn. Rayn loosens his grip on The Dawg and then Dawg elbows Rayn in the head with his free arm to break the hold. Dawg then comes off the ropes and shoulder blocks Rayn to the mat. Dawg then knee drops Rayn in the head and goes for an early pin attempt. 1...2... Rayn manages to kick out. The Dawg then stands Rayn up and shouts to the camera about how Myst is next as he whips Rayn into the corner and then avalanches him in the corner. Rayn then stumbles out of the corner and faceplants onto the mat. Dawg rolls Rayn over and then goes to the ropes and makes his way to the second rope as the fans cheer him on. He dives for a leg drop that misses when Rayn rolls out of the way and then rolls himself clear out of the ring to collect himself.
Carl Simms - Major malfunction there for The Dawg.
Henry Lesher - I just want the ugly fat guy out of my sight before I vomit. Between him and Bob, my will to live is hanging by a thread and a thin one at that.
Rayn pulls himself onto the apron as The Dawg gets to his feet. Dawg takes a swing at Rayn on the apron. Rayn ducks it, then does a sunset flip over the ropes and over Dawg and then rolls him up for the pinfall attempt. 1...2... The Dawg manages to roll a shoulder out before the three count. Rayn then quickly gets to his feet and boot chokes The Dawg in the ropes. He releases the choke before the ref can disqualify him and then pulls The Dawg to his feet. He whips The Dawg off the ropes and then misses with a big boot that The Dawg manages to instead grab. He then spins Rayn around and gives him an atomic drop that sends him into the corner. Dawg then gives Rayn a belly to back supple. Dawg then gets to his feet and grabs Rayn by the hair, then grabs him by the throat and choke slams him to the mat. The Dawg then climbs to the second rope and lands the Tenderizer off of there and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! The Dawg gains the win and then grabs the microphone from Shelley Morris, who is having a rough night tonight.
The Dawg - I want Myst! Why does Max get Myst? I have wanted a match with her for months now and I get blocked at every turn! I demand someone answer for this!
"Come With Me" by Puff Daddy plays as Tony Parizi walks out to the aisle leading to the ring with Big Guido standing behind him and flanked by Jessica and Jamie Parizi. Tony is laughing as he begins to address The Dawg inside the ring.
Tony Parizi - You know, Dawg, you have high hopes and I must commend you for that. Problem is, you're not man enough to get a shot at the world title.
The Dawg - I'll come up there and tear you a new one, Parizi and take your family down while I am at it.
Tony Parizi - Oh you won't be doing that, but you have spirit. Tell you what. Your buddy Slim is going for the Canadian title tonight. If he fails tonight, you go for it at Maximum Impact. If he wins it, you are the first wrestler announced to be going for the newly formed hardcore title brought to you by the fine people running Fangoria magazine.
The crowd cheers as the lights darken and the big screens hanging over the ring show images of the new title belt as pyro shoots off from different parts of the arena. The lights then comes back up and Tony leads his crew to the back again as Dawg stands speechless inside the ring.
Henry Lesher - Hardcore title? I see Leech in a match for that.
Carl Simms - I don't care what you see Leech in.
We then head to commercial
Frank Merritt is trying to sew? The camera pulls back and we see he is sewing a shirt of his. He finally gets fed up trying not to poke himself with the damned needle and sets the shirt on fire and throws it out his window. We then pull back further and see Xtasy sitting in a recliner with a smile on his face. "Some people plan for retirement. Others eat peanut butter out of a jar. Buy my book or risk becoming Frank Merritt." "Fuck off, X," we hear Frank saying as he starts trying to sew a pair of jeans. We see an image of the cover of Xtasy's book which looks very smart indeed and then the commercial fades to black.
Jon Shocker vs T-Rex vs Stevie James
"Phenomenon" by LL Cool J plays as Jon Shocker comes out with Chastity who doesn't look happy with her role in this match. The cages have been lowered from the ceiling and are resting inside the ring awaiting their guests. Chastity gets into the ring first and is escorted into the cage by the ref who then locks the door placing her inside of it and then drops the key into a basket hanging from the corner buckle. Shocker then runs in place and starts doing jumping jacks as we hear "Can't Get the Best of Me" by Cypress Hill and T-Rex comes out with Mercedes and Lexus in tow. He tells the camera that both girls will be in the cage tonight and he'll get them both out. T-Rex then heads around the ring and has a few choice words with Shocker as the ref helps the two girls into their cage in the middle of the ring and locks the door behind them. Again, the key is tossed into a basket hanging off the corner buckle. We then hear "Open Road" by Bryan Adams and Stevie James comes out to a huge ovation as he leads Kosmic Kitty, who keeps her head down towards the floor, as she comes to the ring even if reluctantly. Half way to the ring, Stevie stops and turns her to face him and gives her his word she'll come out of the cage first.
Henry Lesher - Isn't that touching? I wonder what Radd thinks of this moment.
Carl Simms - What is it with you? Is it some closet fascination with the men of the GWO that causes you to lash out at a sweet girl like Kitty?
Henry Lesher - Closet? This doctor is in no closet.
The cages are elevated above the ring, the locks dangling within arm's reach for the participants to grab and unlock to free their girl and prove who the real GWO ladies man is. As the cages are set in place, Stevie James rolls himself into the ring as T-Rex and Jon Shocker argue outside of the ring. T-Rex turns towards the ring and Shocker pulls him back around so they are face to face. They exchange shoves to the chest and then T-Rex thumbs Shocker in the eye before whipping him into the steel corner post shoulder first. T-Rex then rolls himself into the ring where he and Stevie start exchanging rights and lefts to the head as the crowd cheers.
Carl Simms - Stevie and Rex renewing pleasantries here this week.
As Shocker rolls himself into the ring, the ref can finally call for the bell to start the match. Stevie whips T-Rex off the ropes and then dropkicks him to the mat. Shocker heads for the corner with the keys in it, proving he is aware of the goal of this match and is set on making it happen. As Shocker reaches the corner and tries to grab all three keys, Stevie whips T-Rex into the corner where he sandwiches Shocker, then he pulls them both by the hair to the center of the ring and slams their heads together. Stevie then heads to the corner seeking the three keys. T-Rex gets his bearings and dropkicks Stevie in the back. Shocker then grabs Stevie James by the hair and whips him through the ropes to the floor. Shocker then screams towards the ceiling, grabs T-Rex by the hair and sends him over the top rope. T-Rex manages to snag the top rope with his hands and prevent himself from falling. T-Rex then pulls himself back over the top rope into the ring where he kicks Shocker in the back as Shocker again goes after the keys. Shocker and T-Rex then start sparring with rights and lefts to the head as Stevie James gets to his feet and rolls himself back into the ring.
Carl Simms - Good action so far in this match.
Henry Lesher - Depends who you ask.
Carl Simms - I'm not asking you.
Stevie chop blocks T-Rex to the mat, then catches the foot of Shocker as Shocker tries to give him a kick in the face. Shocker then spins and drills an inziguri to the head of Stevie James as the crowd appears torn between these two. Shocker then heads to the corner and grabs the keys. He takes the first key and tries it in the lock holding Chastity's door shut. It fails to work, so he tries the second. It also fails to work, so Shocker smiles with the third in his hand. The smile fades when Stevie James spears Shocker to the mat and the keys all fall out of the ring to the floor. Stevie rolls himself out of the ring and picks up the three keys as T-Rex rolls himself out of the ring as well. T-Rex superkicks Stevie in the jaw and the three keys scatter on the floor once again.
Carl Simms - All three men fighting over the all important keys here.
Stevie rolls himself into the ring and Shocker greets him with a reverse headlock. He tries for a DDT, but Stevie instead picks him up and tosses him over the top rope with a backdrop. Shocker lands hard on the floor as Stevie takes the three keys and heads for the cage containing Kosmic Kitty. As he fumbles with the lock and the first key, we see Mordecai Darius making his way to the ring on a dead run. Stevie spots him and spears him to the mat just as he enters the ring. Stevie then heads back to the cage containing Kitty and tries to open the lock with the first key to no avail. T-Rex then reaches under the ropes and pulls the feet out from under Stevie James and then pulls him out of the ring. Darius gets to his feet and smiles into the cage containing Kitty and he shakes it a little as Kitty retreats into the back corner of the cage.
Carl Simms - That Darius is a sicko.
Henry Lesher - Well, come on, play the hero. Two weeks in a row, we need a Simms family member to interrupt that which they have no business entering.
Carl Simms - Unlike last week, there are people out here already to help Kitty.
Shocker gets to his feet inside the ring, spots Darius shaking Kitty's cage and then clotheslines him over the top rope and to the floor. Shocker then heads out of the ring after Darius and starts putting the boots to him. Stevie slams T-Rex's head into the guard railing outside the ring and then rolls himself into the ring, three keys in his hand. He uses the first, tries the door and it opens on his first try and the ref calls for the bell as Stevie helps Kitty down from the cage. Kosmic Kitty then looks out and sees Jon Shocker and Mordecai Darius battling their way to the back and she shakes her head.
Henry Lesher - How many bloody heroes does this girl have?
As they reach the curtain, the lights go out and a thud is heard. The lights comes back up and Darius is gone and Shocker is out cold, blood flowing from his forehead. We then head backstage where we see Joe Davidson being attended to by medical staff when Leech enters the frame.
Leech - Did you deliver my message to Simms?
Joe Davidson - Go to hell.
Leech - You know, I hear you and Ricky deem yourselves as great CWA legends. It's a crying shame the real legend with real CWA gold is right here.
Joe Davidson - Like I said, go to hell.
Leech kicks Joe in the ribs, then picks him up and rams him head first into the wall as nearby security screams at Leech to stop. The crowd can be heard booing as Leech puts the boots to Joe before spitting on him and then walking away.
Slim Pickens vs Devo vs Austin Fierro
We hear "Walk All Over You" by AC/DC and the crowd explodes as they anticipate the arrival of Vigilante only to have that music abruptly halt. They boo as they hear "The Only One" by Slipknot and Austin Fierro comes out instead.
Henry Lesher - Looks like another audio screw up. That's two weeks in a row.
Carl Simms - It happens.
Austin Fierro steps onto the apron and tells the camera that tonight is going to be his night. He then heads to the corner and climbs to the top rope and poses once and then moonsaults into the ring where he lands on his feet. Unlike other weeks, tonight Austin is alone and claiming that he doesn't need any help in this match, that he will win it on his own. He then tests the ropes as we hear "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N Roses and Slim Pickens comes out to a huge ovation from the crowd. Slim quickly makes his way to the ring and then steps onto the apron and eyes up Austin with a few choice words towards the younger participant here tonight. He then steps through the ropes and the bell sounds as Austin dropkicks Slim right back through the ropes to the outside of the ring.
Henry Lesher - This is wrong. Devo's supposed to be out here.
Carl Simms - I guess he's no go for tonight.
Henry Lesher - But this is not fair! He is one of the few wrestlers who doesn't make me want to vomit!
Austin heads out of the ring and grabs Slim by the hair. Slim eye gouges Austin, then headbutts him backwards. Slim then shoves Austin backwards and Austin loses his balance and lands his back hard against the guard railing as the fans cheer Slim on. Slim then pulls Austin to his feet and then rolls him into the ring. Slim then enters the ring and places Austin in a front facelock as the crowd starts a chant for Slim. Austin battles his way to his feet and pushes Slim into the ropes where the ref forces the break. The break is achieved and Austin shoulder blocks Slim in the ropes, almost dumping him to the outside of the ring yet again. Austin then whips Slim off the ropes and drops him with a clothesline. Austin then knees Slim in the forehead and then drills him in the head with a series of punches. Austin then stands Slim up, whips him to the buckle and then delivers a belly to belly suplex on him out of it.
Carl Simms - Great show of strength there by Austin Fierro.
Henry Lesher - He's good, but not as good as his father.
Carl Simms - You never had a nice word to say about his father.
Henry Lesher - Exactly, which says very little for Austin.
Austin stands Slim up and sets him for a suplex. Slim blocks it and then delivers a vertical suplex on Austin, holding him in the air for a few moments to let him think about it. Slim then goes for the pin. 1...2... Austin rolls a shoulder out. Slim stands Austin up, whips him into the corner and then kicks him in the gut, then sets for and delivers a pump handle slam on him and again tries for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Austin Fierro. Slim gives the referee a disapproving look as if to say that should have been a three count and then stands Austin up and whips him off the ropes. Austin ducks a clothesline and then Austin gives Slim a dropkick in the chest. Austin then headlocks Slim and drills him to the mat with a DDT. He goes for the pin. 1...2... Slim gets a foot on the bottom rope. As Austin stands Slim up, we hear air raid sirens and instead of Devo we see a beaten up Madison making their way to the ring with the Canadian title belt in their hands. The crowd seems confused as Madison then collapses and the belt falls to the floor.
Henry Lesher - What the hell is that?
Carl Simms - It would appear there is no Devo here at all tonight, explains why they started this match without him.
EMTs comes in to attend to Madison as a cameraman retrieves the title belt and tosses it to the ref inside the ring where Austin has Slim in the corner and is drilling knees into his chest. Slim responds with s headbutt to the chest of Austin, then Slim climbs to the second rope and quickly delivers a clothesline from there. Slim then hooks the leg for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Austin Fierro. Slim stands Austin up, whips him off the ropes and both men clothesline each other to the mat. We then see Leech coming in from the back with a self-satisfied smile on his face. The Moose then jumps up on the apron and the ref has a few words with Moose as Leech rolls into the ring, takes his CWA title belt and crowns Slim with it. He then exits the ring and tells the camera that's what he gets for calling out Leech a month ago. Austin then drapes an arm across the chest of Slim as The Moose drops off the apron and the ref counts the pin. 1...2...3! Austin Fierro wins and becomes the Canadian champion! However, instead of his music, we hear "Come With Me" by Puff Daddy and out comes Tony Parizi to head off Leech with Sal Clemenzo and Shannon Skanes behind him, microphone in hand.
Tony Parizi - So Leech wants to ruin another show. Look, pal, you just bought yourself a rough damned night at Maximum Impact. You got psycho Eddie Vines ready to eat your heart out of your damned chest and now Slim isn't gonna be happy with you. When I last checked, Halloween Jack was CWA hardcore champ when that place went under and now we need a new hardcore champion. The four of you will fight to decide the new hardcore champion while Slim's friend The Dawg gets a shot at the Canadian title you just screwed Slim out of. Have a nice day, asshole.
Tony walks off with Shannon and Sal close behind. Leech is then seen laughing as if this works exactly in line with his plans.
Henry Lesher - He wouldn't have been happier if Parizi had handed him the world title. The man is psychotic, so bring on the hardcore.
Carl Simms - I wonder what the point of that really is. Leech has owned hardcore divisions.
We head to commercial as we see Austin Fierro leaving with his newly won title held high above his head.
We see Myst in a shopping store looking at oranges. She frowns. "What passes for grade A these days. Sick. Simply sick." She then looks at the camera. "Hello, I am GWO world champion Myst here to remind you that things in life aren't meant to be taken as seriously as some us do. Road rage is epidemic in the world these days and..." Myst's cart is bumped by another woman's cart and the other woman keeps on walking. "Nice move, bitch! Come back here and try it again! I'm world champ! What have you done?" Myst curses under her breath, her public service announcement now falling on deaf ears. Maybe she'll try again sometime.
Kosmic Kitty vs Mordecai Darius
"Scandalous" by Mis-Teeq plays as Kosmic Kitty comes out to the ring which now has a pool set up next to it, one which has orange flavored Snapple and Twinkies in it. It's a rather nasty looking brine and Kitty shakes her head as she enters the ring and looks out on the fallen Twinkies, which she hopes died for a good cause here tonight. She then turns to the crowd and nods to a man in the front row that starts tossing Twinkies to her. She climbs to the second rope and throws the Twinkies down as Steve Austin once did with beer, then takes other Twinkies thrown to her and tosses them to the adoring fans.
Henry Lesher - GWO fans are legally retarded.
Carl Simms - That's not fair.
"American Jesus" by Bad Religion plays as Mordecai Darius makes his way to the ring and the crowd boos him as he glares at Kitty inside the ring. Darius curses a fan in the front row and then shakes his head as he continues to the ring. Darius slides under the bottom rope into the ring and quickly gets to his feet as the bell sounds. He starts to tell Kitty why she will never be able to defeat him and how God is more powerful than some pastry loving heathen. Kitty responds by slapping Darius across the face. Darius laughs, starts speaking to her again and quickly slaps him in the face again. Kitty then dropkicks Darius to the mat. Darius rolls himself out of the ring and has a few words with fans in the front row as Kitty waits for Darius patiently inside the ring.
Carl Simms - We are used to seeing Kitty rattled by Darius, not the other way around.
Henry Lesher - Maybe the airhead is grabbing a thought or two.
Carl Simms - She's no airhead.
Henry Lesher - Right and those breasts are real.
Carl Simms - Like you care about breasts.
Darius rolls himself back into the ring and Kitty starts putting the boots to him, so he rolls right back out to the floor. Kitty shakes her head and rolls out of the ring after him. He is having words with the fans again as Kitty taps him on the shoulder. Darius turns and takes another slap in the face followed by a thumb in the eye. He turns and retreats and she scratches her nails down his back before rolling him into the ring. Kosmic Kitty then enters the ring and applies a sleeper hold on a shocked Darius. The crowd starts a chant for Kitty as Darius fight to get to his feet. He then elbows Kitty in the ribs three times to break the hold, then turns picks her up and drops her on the top rope, slingshotting her throat off of it. Darius then stands over Kitty and looks out to the booing crowd.
Carl Simms - Darius earning the hatred of the crowd tonight.
Henry Lesher - Good for him. That scores big points with me.
Darius grabs Kitty by the hair and tosses her through the ropes with a smile on his face. He steps out of the ring and informs the crowd she asked for this. He then appears to be giving her last rights when Kitty lands a jawbreaker on Darius. She then kicks him in the gut. Darius answers with a quick monkey flip that sends her straight into the pool. The ref calls for the bell even as Kitty scampers out of the juicy mess. Darius grabs Kitty by the hair and tells her she isn't going anywhere, that she must pay for her sins. As he looks to pick her up, we see Radd Matthews charging in from the back. As he reaches ringside, we see Stevie James emerging through the ringside crowd with a chair in hand. He drills Darius in the back of the head and then comes face to face with Radd. Stevie throws the chair down as Radd embraces Kitty and looks at Stevie with suspicion.
Carl Simms - Some mistrust there.
Henry Lesher - Radd has good reason to wonder.
Stevie disappears into the crowd as Radd helps Kosmic Kitty to the back and her music plays to the delight of the crowd. We then look backstage and see Ricky Simms with Shelia Lavin and Dan Jalldoff in Tony Parizi's office.
Ricky Simms - I need to talk to the boss.
Shelia Lavin - You're looking at those in charge while Parizi has business to attend to.
Ricky Simms - Joe Davidson must be shown some respect.
Dan Jalldoff - Why? He never got any before.
Ricky Simms - That's been the problem for a long time. Veterans get zero respect from newcomers and management does nothing to change that.
Shelia Lavin - Davidson accepts his place at the bottom of the food chain.
Ricky Simms - No, he doesn't, not anymore. That freak Leech has gone too far. He inspired something in me last week and this week he will pay the price. Joe is going to show them. He is going to show them all.
Ricky leaves and Shelia and Dan regard each other with curiosity.
Shelia Lavin - Would Joe wrestle?
Dan Jalldoff - My father said not to underestimate him. We'll see, I guess.
Moose/Leech vs GoBoom vs Simms/Clemenzo
"H" by Tool plays as The Moose and Leech make their way to the ring. The crowd boos as Leech plays up his and Moose's CWA titles over their shoulders.
Henry Lesher - Real champions are in the house. Moose will be TV champ and Leech will be hardcore champ.
Carl Simms - That remains to be seen, Doc.
Leech and Moose slide into the ring and pose in opposite corners despite a loud and very negative crowd reaction. The Moose and Leech hand their title belts to the timekeeper and warn him of what will happen to him if something happens to their belts. We then hear "Hooch" by Sum 41 and out comes Boomshalkalaka with Rod Gordon. The crowd gives them a mixed reaction as they bark at Leech and Moose inside the ring. Boom and Rod enter the ring and start a four way brawl inside the ring as we hear "Overrated" by Three Days Grace and Ricky Simms and Sal Clemenzo come out to a huge pop from the crowd. Ricky high fives fans as Sal trails behind, watching the ring with great suspicion as the other four men continue to brawl without interruption. Simms and Sal then slide into the ring and they start cleaning house as the bell sounds to start this match. Ricky clotheslines Rod Gordon over the top to the outside, then ducks a punch from Leech and atomic drops him and then sends him through the ropes to the floor which leaves three men inside the ring and we are started. Sal slams Moose and Boom's heads together, then gives Boomshalkalaka a DDT to the mat and tries for a surprise pinfall here. 1...2... kick out by Boomshalkalaka.
Henry Lesher - Come on, Leech. Get in the ring.
Carl Simms - You seem nervous, Doc.
Henry Lesher - Nonsense.
Moose attacks Sal with a series of kicks to the back of the neck. Moose then pulls Sal to his feet and then delivers a Rock Bottom on him and goes for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Sal Clemenzo. Moose immediately starts in on the ref about the speed of the count as he pulls Sal up by the hair. Boomshalkalaka then lands a surprising superkick to the chin on Moose and then picks Sal up and body slams him to the mat. Boom then poses in the corner. Leech jumps onto the apron and lands an upper cut to the jaw of Boom that knocks him off the ropes. Leech then climbs the ropes himself as Boom staggers in the ring. Leech dives and lands a missile dropkick to the chin on Boom and Moose rolls him into a schoolboy pin from there. 1...2... Sal breaks up the pin by pulling Moose off of Boom. We then see Rod and Ricky taking their places in their corners, this match finally showing signs of being under some semblance of control here.
Henry Lesher - Leech needs to be in this match.
Sal Clemenzo gets to his feet and starts putting the boots to Moose. Moose answers with a spear that sends Sal through the ropes to the floor. Moose then heads to his corner and tags in Leech. Leech enters the ring and heads straight across the ring and out the other side where he grabs Sal by the hair and smiles as he stands him up. His smile doesn't last as Ricky Simms drops off the apron and clotheslines Leech to the floor. Ricky then returns to his corner as the referee shouts at him. The Moose heads around the ring and he and Leech start double teaming the fallen Sal, standing him up and double whipping him shoulder first into the guard railing. Leech then rolls Sal into the ring where Rod Gordon is waiting, fresh from a tag by Boomshalkalaka. Rod picks Sal up and power slams him to the mat and goes for the pin. 1...2... Sal rolls a shoulder out. Rod then stands Sal up, whips him off the ropes and both men clothesline each other to the mat as Leech rolls himself into the ring and smiles. Leech grabs Rod by the hair and pulls him to his feet as Sal finds a burst of energy and rolls to his corner to tag in Ricky Simms. Ricky enters the ring and clotheslines Leech to the mat, then backdrops a charging Moose before kicking a charging Boomshalkalaka in the chest and then whipping him through the ropes to the floor. Ricky then grabs Rod Gordon and gives him a scoop slam to the mat before landing a leg drop to the throat on Gordon and going for the pin. 1...2... Leech breaks it up with a leg drop of his own across the back of Ricky's neck.
Henry Lesher - This is where Leech shines.
Carl Simms - Oh stop it. My father has taken worse shots from high school kids playing dodgeball.
Leech grabs Ricky by the hair, pulls him to his feet and headbutts him backwards. Rod Gordon then chop blocks Leech to the mat and then applies a figure four leglock on him. We see Moose then climbing the ropes in the nearby corner as Ricky Simms struggles to tag in Sal Clemenzo. Moose lands a frog splash across the chest of Rod Gordon and Leech then rolls Rod up for a small package with one hand on the ropes for leverage. 1...2...3! Leech and Moose with the win just as Ricky managed to tag in Sal Clemenzo!
Henry Lesher - I never doubted him. You did. You're a Leech doubter.
Carl Simms - He used the ropes and never pinned my dad. For all his talk, he didn't have what it took to back it up in there.
We look backstage and see Radd Matthews with Freddy Thrills.
Radd Matthews - This Stevie James is up to no good. He is after her and I want you to keep an eye on him.
Freddy Thrills - Sure thing, Radd. I am on it.
We then see Kosmic Kitty's sister Jamie entering the picture in tears.
Radd Matthews - Jamie, what is it?
Jamie - I messed up again, playing the wrong music. I don't know where the Vigilante track came from. I am such a loser! Wyatt says if I mess up again I am gone!
Radd hugs Jamie and consoles her. We then see Kosmic Kitty come in, give a strange look to her sister and Radd before rushing off. Neither Radd nor Freddy know that she was there to see that.
Myst/Rated R vs The 2 Jacks vs Pyro/Gerard Angelo
"Hell Song" by Sum 41 plays as Gerard Angelo makes his way to the ring. Pyro follows him closely, both men wearing Youthful Aggression T-shirts. Gerard and Pyro pat each other on the back as they step onto the apron. They then enter the ring and seem oblivious to how much the fans hate them tonight. We then hear "Enemy" by Sevendust and Rated R and Myst come out together which seems to catch everyone off guard. They are even both wearing black tonight and there doesn't appear to be a division between them at all. Rated R and Myst step onto the apron together and have words with Youthful Aggression before they step into the ring. As the four of them jaw at each other, we hear the Theme From Magnificent Seven and Hellfire and Halloween Jack make their way to the ring. The crowd appears to be behind them as Hellfire Jack taunts Gerard Angelo with the TV title from outside the ring. Gerard leaves the ring and Rated R and Myst start to double team Pyro inside the ring. Halloween Jack then slides into the ring and tosses Rated R through the ropes to the floor and then grabs Myst by the hair. She lands a sucker punch to the throat of Halloween Jack. Jack responds with an eye gouge on Myst. Halloween Jack then whips Myst into the corner and then gives her a German suplex out of it and holds her shoulder to the mat for the pin. 1...2... kick out by Myst.
Carl Simms - Big champions and major contenders alike wrestling in this match up.
Henry Lesher - But Leech already stole the show for me. I am ready to go home before this match depresses me.
Carl Simms - Sounds good to me.
As Lesher puts on his coat and leaves the announce table, Angelo and Hellfire Jack finally start exchanging rights and lefts to the head. Hellfire then clotheslines Gerard to the floor and inadvertently slams himself into Henry Lesher, knocking him to the floor. Inside the ring, Halloween Jack stands Myst up, whips her off the ropes and is confused when Myst leapfrogs him, then does a handspring off the ropes and headscissors Halloween to the mat. She holds him there, but is wide open for a knee drop to the head from Pyro. Pyro then places Myst in a front facelock as the fans start a chant for Myst. Pyro tells them to shut up, which of course makes them get louder. At ringside, Hellfire Jack backs away from the melee with Gerard and the fallen Lesher and takes his place in his corner while Rated R has taken up a place as well in the opposite corner.
Carl Simms - Wonder if Lesher feels smart right now.
Gerard Angelo gets to his feet and spots Lesher fallen there. He laughs as he heads to his corner, leaving Lesher to get up under his own steam as fans in the area mock the fallen announcer. Pyro battles to hold Myst down as she pushes her way to her feet. He reverses the facelock into a headlock and then tries for a bulldog only to have Myst shove Pyro into her corner where Rated R lands a punch to the jaw on Pyro before Myst rolls him up from behind for the pin. 1...2... Halloween Jack breaks it up with an elbow to the head on Myst. Halloween Jack then grabs Myst by the hair and pulls her to the corner where he tags in Hellfire Jack. Hellfire Jack smiles as he enters the ring and puts the boots to the world champ. Pyro gets to his feet and tags in Gerard Angelo who races over to the corner where Hellfire Jack is and whips him head first through the ropes where he then lands hard on his shoulder on the floor. Gerard poses once with a smile on his face even as Myst tags in Rated R. Rated R charges across the ring and drills Gerard in the back with a shoulder, then whips him off the ropes and backdrops him to the mat as the fans cheer him on, a rare moment for Rated R recently to be sure.
Carl Simms - They must really hate Gerard to cheer Rated R on here.
Rated R then heads out of the ring where Hellfire Jack has just got to his feet. Rated R whips Hellfire Jack towards the ring steps. Hellfire Jack reverses it and drills Rated R into the ring steps instead. Hellfire Jack then quickly rolls Rated R into the ring and then enters the ring himself and applies an Indian deathlock. The ref checks for a submission, but Gerard Angelo comes off the ropes and lands a low flying dropkick to the chin of Hellfire Jack. Gerard then rolls Hellfire over for the pin. 1...2... Hellfire Jack gets his foot on the bottom rope. Gerard stands Hellfire Jack up, whips him into the only neutral corner in the match and then climbs to the second rope and starts raining down punches on Hellfire Jack. However, Hellfire quickly grabs Gerard around the legs and gives him an inverted atomic drop that sends him to the mat. Gerard then struggles to tag in Pyro as Rated R gets to his feet and charges at Hellfire Jack, giving him a series of forearms to the chin. Pyro races in for a spear on Rated R, but Rated R sidesteps it and Pyro instead spears Hellfire Jack to the mat and then Rated R lands the Restricted on Pyro and goes for the pin. 1...2...3! Rated R and Myst grab the win here tonight.
Carl Simms - That match really could have gone to any of the teams involved here. Great battle to end the night.
Henry Lesher is finally up and starting for the back as Hellfire Jack and Gerard Angelo start brawling outside of the ring. Gerard shoves Jack into Henry Lesher, knocking him back to the floor as we see Moose racing out with a chair in hand. Moose swings it at Gerard, but instead it drills Lesher in the head before he can stand and then security mobs the ringside area as everyone in this match are brawling now.
Carl Simms - With Lesher out cold, we'll but you good night and see you all next Monday at Maximum Impact! GWO is the home of the champions!
We fade to black on a shot of Henry Lesher knocked cold on the floor in the knowledge that Ricky Simms is somewhere smiling.
