OUT OF RING ATTIRE: Depends entirely on the situation. For the majority of the time he dresses in a very casual 'surfie' style that he developed growing up on the Australian coast- t-shirts of surf brands, denim shorts, jeans, boardshorts, etc.

In terms of 'going out' attire, usually a variety of short-sleeved/long-sleeved shirts and jeans/pants work. Tends not to 'dress up' for official functions unless it's absolutely necessary.

IN-RING ATTIRE: Surfers' boardshorts. Steve likes to use a variety of patterns and colors depending on the occasion, but most commonly will wear turquoise attire. For Pay Per Views, he usually wears a completely new color and pattern for each. Always wears black elbowguards and black wrestling boots. When on the way down to the ring, Steve often wears a silky short-sleeved shirt, left wide open and usually in a pattern matching that of his ringwear boardshorts.

HISTORY

-THE ORIGINS: FROM HIGH SCHOOL TO THE XWF (1994-2004)-

Competitor. Warrior. Lunatic. Die-hard. Revolutionary. Leader. Avenger. Any of these words and many more could be used to describe the man known as Steve Jason. Born in the lower-west (as opposed to south-west, which was much further south) coastal strips not far from Perth, Western Australia, the second of four children to an attorney father and an architect mother, Steve spent the majority of his youth not exactly being the person you'd have in mind as a professional wrestler- in fact, he seemed more content to spend the majority of his youth with the 'surfie' crews of the beaches of the Sunset Coast, riding the waves. While he did have an interest in the sport, any idea of actually going out there and competing had not yet entered his mind.

It was only in 1994 in his senior year of high school that he was finally struck with inspiration in what seemed to be an almost spontaneous manifestation of drive- a random appearance that, thirteen years on, Steve still struggles to understand. While he did still have intentions of going to university and choosing a career- although he had no idea what he wanted to choose- and while he did still partake in surfing regularly- he also began dedicating himself to possibly entering the world of professional wrestling, beginning by studying various martial arts, gaining a formidable array of moves by the time he was twenty.. At this point, he journeyed to the United States for three long years of professional wrestling training. When he emerged from this at twenty-three, he was a definitive pro-wrestling expert, not only excelling in street-fighting, but also became a highly skilled technical wrestler- and even had a few power and high-flying tricks up his sleeve too.

His first stop in the pro-wrestling world was CCWF. While Steve struggled for a brief period, when he adapted he was unstoppable, garnering undefeated reigns as the CCWF North American and CCWF World Heavyweight Champions. He was never defeated for either belt when the CCWF closed its doors in late 2001.

In 2002, Steve's next stop was the X-Treme Wrestling Federation. This move was a lot more difficult for Steve due to the incredible talent involved. While Steve picked up the Canadian title, the XWF crashed when he was just beginning to pick up momentum. It took another year for Steve to bounce back in the new era XWF under the reign of Jonathyn Brown, where Steve suddenly burst into legendhood, taking the World Championship in June 2003, the Universal Championship in September 2003 and the prestigious once-a-year Lord Of The Ring title in November 2003 when he won the 40-man Lord Of The Ring Battle Royal at the Lord Of The Ring Pay Per View. In February 2003, he even became the XWF's first Super Grand Slam Champion when he added the XWF Tag Team Championship to his achievements with his then-long-time friend Jem Williams. And then it all went downhill as Steve not only lost the Tag titles, but failed to capture the Universal Championship from Jem due to a heavily-biased referee, Psyko Stevo, who Steve had defeated once before.

-RISE OF THE AVENGER (2004-2006)-

After what had appeared to be a serious slump in his career, Steve came out of nowhere at Zero Tolerance 2004 to deliver a beating on "Bigg Rigg" John Gambino and declared that he was officially under orders from a group known as the 'Setsujoku-Kai' to take out Gambino and his stable, ReVolution. While many considered this a source of ridicule, Steve proved his seriousness as he completed this mission by defeating Rigg and ending their year-long feud at the Anarchy before Bad Medicine. Steve managed to successfully win a second Universal Championship at Bad Medicine, and while he lost at Leap of Faith, it again took biased referees, fast-counts, feet on the ropes and two-on-one assaults with weapons to put him down, thus reinforcing Steve's reputation as being impossible to defeat one on one. This reputation continued throughout the XWF as he regained his championship at Rage In The Cage 2004. However, this decision resulted in anger from the XWF Owner, Jonathyn Brown, who, at least in Steve's eyes, was doing everything to get the belt off him- to the point where he sponsored Steve's main antithesis and enemy, a 'dark' wrestler who had tried to destroy Steve's indomitable warrior spirit once before, Cyren.

In protest to Jonathyn siding with this malignant force of darkness, Steve took the only option he felt he had- much to the dismay of the fans, he and Jem Williams sided with their former foes Sewaside, T Money and Steve Jason's old CCWF boss, Shane Carver, to oust Jonathyn from all XWF Anarchy control. It succeded, and so Steve's star shone brighter than ever- to the point where he defeated XWF Old Era legend Cooper and retained his Universal title. Barely a few weeks later, Steve defeated Cyren without 'the Sickness' even laying a hand on him. Steve's out-of-the-ring star shone even brighter, starting a Los Angeles nightclub known as Pacific Club Paramount, along with achieving a significant amount of acclaim in England, and a stake in a corporation in Las Vegas. It was looking very rosy for Steve.

Then Steve was injured in a freak assault by a mysterious wrestler known as Biohazard, who appeared for two matches before mysteriously vanishing again.

As soon as Steve was injured, the Black Circle was disbanded, and Shane Carver betrayed Steve and Jem, siding with the most despicable of enemies- Cyren and his supergoth stable The Order- to create the Black Order. Steve tried to watch and wait for some time, but eventually, it got too much. Eventually, Steve could not be content with taking time off and enjoying his enterprises in Australia, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and England. He was compelled by his warrior's ethic to return to the XWF and purge it. His first attempt failed, and Steve temporarily vanished off the face of the Earth for two months. Now, however, he has returned under the banner of his old clan, the Setsujoku-Kai, and he appears set to rally a new revolution over the XWF, one that could be best described in his own words as 'the warriors taking back the game'. Disagreements with his clan have led to Steve going off in his own direction, but he still at least claims to be working in the best interests of the XWF and of the warrior ethos. It would appear, however, that he had become something of a mercenary, joining fellow Unkillable Jem Williams and current Universal Champion Andrew Gibson in attacking individuals at a recent Anarchy despite obviously being distressed at doing so. Soon, it was unveiled that Jem and Steve had been played by Andrew Gibson, Tyger Lilly and Blizzard, who had kidnapped Steve's best friend and Jem's fiance, and swift, brutal retaliation ensued, ending in Andrew Gibson losing his girlfriend, his daughter, and in grave danger of losing his life to Steve Jason and Jem Williams. It is perhaps only because he left after the fall of the CWF that Steve himself is in the XWF and not serving a jail sentence.

Most of the rest of 2005 wasn't exactly the best year for Steve Jason, and will most likely be remembered as a time of betrayals and assaults marring SJ's career like a black cloud. Firstly, he was apparently 'betrayed' by his then-girlfriend Heather Halliwell in August 2005, the infuriated Steve Jason terminating all ties with her after an apparent assault on wrestling fans by herself and Tyger Lilly. Only a month afterwards, Steve's reformed New Wave had serious loyalty issues, with Dynamic Dynamite attacking Steve in anger for Steve receiving a Universal title shot, and Jem Williams betraying the Stinger a second time in what would appear to be anger and frustration due to being stuck in 'Steve Jason's shadow'- a move Steve himself slams as an excuse for Jem's own failures. In addition to being betrayed, Steve also faced the return of a masked ninja impersonating him and persecuting him before finally abducting him in the closing days of September 2005- a ninja who, apparently, was none other than Judas Iscariot, a man many claim Steve 'frightened' out of the XWF two years prior.

Nobody's quite sure what happened in the time Steve was in exile. Steve maintains that he was abducted, tortured and even psychologically manipulated in an undisclosed location in a last-ditch attempt to break the spirit of the Unkillable Icon, if physical termination seemed impossible. Many have believed Steve, a few foolish individuals denied this and were struck down. All we can say is somehow, Steve Jason escaped, foiling the attempts of God's Gift to the XWF and successfully warning the X-Treme Wrestling Federation of a horror they were yet to truly face.

Steve first served as the manager of the BoonDock Saint and guided him towards the 2005 Lord of the Ring, while choosing to wrestle at the Pay Per View himself in a Lord of the Ring Legends match, followed by an entry into the X-Mas X-Treme Tournament. Steve carved his way through the tournament, with the first two opponents refusing to compete and easily gaining a level of revenge over Dynamic Dynamite in the semi-finals. The finals led him to a final revenge showdown with Blizzard at the X-Mas X-Treme Pay Per View for the World Championship- a match that, later, Alex Cutwright successfully earned the right to contend in. Blizzard proved to be only a minor concern, and the real battle came down to Steve and Alex in what many have deemed to be a shattering match of the night, where both men drove each other to the end. Steve eventually captured his fourth World Championship, but had perhaps the closest brush with failing to capture the belt he has ever had.

His return to glory was seemingly halted by the crash of the X-Treme Wrestling Federation hiatus of 2006, which sent every professional wrestler in the company into a state of joblessness. He did, however, make a brief return for a final clash with Judas Iscariot at the XWF Last Breath promotion in mid-2006, taking on his demonic foe in an enormous sixty-minute Four Stages of Destiny match, which saw both men put each other through hell, fire, water, explosives, blades and much, much more. Steve emerged as the victor, and was finally able to close that chapter of his life.

-THE THIRD ERA- YEARS- 2006-2007-

The story did not end after Steve's final battle with Judas, however. It did, however, signal the rise of a 'Third Era' of next-generation XWF superstars, who began to supplant the previous XWF superstars just as Steve and his ilk had supplanted those who had come before him. While some of the previous XWF superstars took this time to fade into antiquity, Steve continued to ride with the new generation, even going so far as to consider himself one of them and relishing the opportunity to face new challenges. During this time, he served both as a key opponent and as an ally of Daniel Malcolm. He also garnished a further World Championship in 2006, and played a major role in the division of the XWF into both the XWF and the XWC.

2007 was considered by many to be a 'rest year' for Steve Jason after a long period of putting out the hard yards. While he has competed in a number of matches in 2007, he has put aside a lot of the year to spend away from the XWF pursuing his own 'destiny' and seeking to understand his role as an Avenger. This journey has taken him all the way to the South Pacific, into territory known to very few- and has led him to meet all kinds of new- and in some cases bizarre- people.

-2008-

2008 was one of the first years in which the X-Treme Wrestling Federation has seen neither hide nor hair of Steve Jason. It was assumed at first that he continued his travels, but eventually he settled into Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and worked for the Platinum Dynasty Wrestling promotion, where he experienced a fair deal of success, earning an impressive win-loss ratio, winning accolades such as the Bloodshed Championship and Platinum Cup, and making a name for himself outside the isolated umbrella of the XWF. After the Parental Advisory PPV in September, however, Steve mysteriously disappeared once again, and this time nobody could track him or even know where he went. However, word is recently filtering out of the news that Steve Jason is somewhere in Europe, and furthermore, it has been confirmed that he intends to appear at the Phoenix Rising XWF event to pay tribute to injured XWF star Christian Phoenix...

-XWF HEAD TRAINER- 2009 AND BEYOND-

After fighting an epic battle with Lee Stone where, for the first time ever, neither man were rival or foe but instead fought solely to pay tribute to two XWF greats in Christian Phoenix and AJ the Exterminator at Phoenix Rising, Steve again seemed to disappear into thin air just as quickly as he'd appeared out of it. Months passed, and doubts remained if they would ever see Steve return again- until the Massacre before Christmas 2008, when Steve returned with a wish to spend the holiday with his 'other family' - the XWF and its stars. Not only that, but on Christmas Day 2008, it was revealed that Steve had a very special gift to give to the federation that had been so good to him- as of 2009, he would serve as the X-Treme Wrestling Federation's new Head Trainer, answering to Home Office and preparing young hopefuls for their quests to become the stars of tomorrow- and helping established names hone and sharpen their skills. It may not be wrestling, but it seems as though Steve Jason has finally returned to the one place he can truly call his home...
