Background:

SJ was born in Barcelona Spain, while his family was on holiday, he was one half of a set of twins born on December 29th, in 1977. SJ was born Simon James Funk. SJ is one of four children, He has an older sister Stacy Funk, his twin brother Brian Funk and the eldist Martin Funk. SJ began his interest in wrestling when he was only 7, watching the British wrestling every Saturday. SJ then began training to become a wrestling at the age of 12, and with the large family connection with his twin brother, Brian also joined SJ in a wrestling academy. At the age of 17 SJ was given his first contract, this was with a small federation known as the Spanish Federation of Wrestling, however he did not immediately star in the SFW, but worked in the SFW Academy, along with his brother, It was here SJ took up the name of Funky, representing not just his name, but the character he was, with his ability to get on well with all of the guys backstage. He also worked more along the lines of a high risk taking Luchador. Along with his brother Brian, they became a well liked tag team, and worked well in the academy. A year later SJ was moved up into the SFW, where he made an instant impact, taking on most of the well known Luchadors in the company, all of which he held his own against, and later joined the ranks of Lucha Champion. It wasn't soon after his reign was over, which lasted 3 months, he left the Lucha division, and joined the tag team division, of course he partnered possibly the greatest Luchador of the SFW, Windyman Davis. But this team never lasted so SJ thought about going back into the Luchador division, but was stopped by the owner of the SFW, he told SJ that he would stay in the tag division to help out a new member from the academy, be put over as a face. Of course SJ agreed only to find out later that his tag team partner was none other than his twin brother, known now as The Inferno Kid. So this was when SJ began his tag team career with his brother in the team Firery Disco Fever. From here the duo went on to become 3 time tag champions, before leaving SFW, to join the EEW. EEW began with a bang for the duo when they defeated the duo that reigned for almost two years as tag champs. From that moment, people in the EEW, knew that the owner had just signed one helluva tag team, which later became a trio, with the addition of SJ and Brian's best friend, English born Brazilian Giovanni Zivarno, better known as Mr. Cool.
Then things took a turn for the worse, A large federation took over the EEW, and SJ along with his brother and his best friend was found in the middle of a dispute, between the EEW superstars and the new owner. So instead of taking sides in the matter, SJ left his friend and his brother to join a very small North Eastern English federation, ran fairly close to his hometown of Durham. This was known as the CWF, after a year and a half period in here, SJ became the most dominating force. Winning all the titles they had to offer at least twice, in the form of the tag straps he won four times, twice with his brother who had joined him, once with a man that later became a good friend of SJ's, he was Chris Ward, better known as Mr. Showtime. then finaly with his best friend Giovanni.
Just as things started to look outstanding for SJ, his cousin Steven took ill while at one of the CWF shows, SJ was booked to defend his heavyweight title, but ended up not showing, and causing a lot of mayhem among the CWF fans, it was rumoured that SJ had decided to leave CWF to join a bigger company across the boarder in Scotland, this rumour got worse and a few weeks later, CWF owner had no choice but to strip SJ of the title. The following week during a tournament for the title SJ appear on the big screen, and what he released was shocking news, SJ had broken his contract up with CWF, to leave wrestling and attend the bedside of his cousin Steven, who had been struck down with cancer.
Almost two years later SJ was seen on tv, in another wrestling ring. This time it was in a large English brand known as the EWC, SJ, was on his own after a few of his CWF buddies where told to leave the EWC, SJ began his career working up long and hard, and he became tag champ, as well as the Super Middleweight Champion, but then EWC hit some trouble, imediately, SJ was introduced onto American soil, this time under the Sadistic Wrestling Federation. Joining to the reason of his brother they once again formed FDF, only to lose their second match in one night, for the tag straps, however a few weeks later at the SWF's first PPV SJ and Brian, gained revenge on their opponents, and won the tag straps in a tag team elimination table match. Then things turned bad again, Brian was in a crash with a lorry so to speak, which ended the life of Brian's Fiancée at the time. So SJ and Brian took time off to recuperate. SJ tried to fight his way back into the wrestling business, and joined the RWF, winning the TV-G title in his second match, Funk went on four a month as champion before leaving the RWF to participate in a tournament for another federation. After the tournament SJ took some time off before returning to SWF to see out the rest of his remaining contract, in which time a small fued accured which cause SJ to leave before his contract was up, this time it was to have surgery on his knee. Once his knee was fully recovered SJ returned to action back in the RWF, under a new name of IceMan SJ Funk, along with his brother known now as The Inferno Kid Brian Haye. Their first match back they won the tag titles, reigning undefeated SJ quit RWF with his brother, who had been attacked outside of wrestling.

During the mist of all this SJ' trained up a new young superstar who only 5 years younger than SJ, turned out to be named, Jason Martin Funk, the son of Stacy Funk, making Jason SJ's nephew, Jason better know as Thunderstorm Jason Stockley. Has persuaded SJ, to make one more go of wrestling, SJ agreed and is known currently under the new name Hot Stuff, SJ Funk.
On his return to the ring action, Funk accomplished, feats such as being the last OCW / WIWF Heavyweight Champion, before OCW was folded by its bigger boss RWF, Funk then turned his attention to the MSWA which became AWA, While here Funk teamed with a Russian trained by his good Friend Chris Ward, they only teamed for a few matches and won the AWA tag team titles, until Funk was struck down with a series of severe headaches for which his doctor advised that he should have a few brain scans and some tests ran on him to make sure he was ok. Greatfully Funk was OK and soon regained full fitness already being a tear away from the AWA, Funk decided to go on a few tours, wrestling in random feds, including one of his previous companies SWF. Funk is still on the way back into wrestling after these shocks and will is set to return to action for a tournament in one of the federations that he started his illucrease career. Funk also lost his future marriage to his boyhood sweetheart Rachel Fox, after differences of which neither party have released. It is rumoured that Funk had found his former Fiancée in bed with another man and just flipped out. Calling off the engagement and the 12 year relationship. Now a free man Funk is ready to return to full time in ring action, this time ditching his good lucks, allowing his hair to grow long and bleaching it white, Funk is to be billed from Austin, Texas is it to dawn the leathers, the black pants cowboy boots and hat, while taking the name Six-Shooter Simon J. Funk.
After a stint as the Texan Six Shooter Simon J. Funk, partnering a former arch enemy Dusty Davis, Funk was brutally attacked backstage, still to this day no one has admitted to the savage attack, and Dusty swearing for revenge on the soul who took away his partner. While this was going on, Funk returned to the country he was brought up in most of his life and returned to action touring England, but while he was touring England Funk decided to shave off his long hair trim his beard back, and his chest and decided to return to action as the Showstealer SJ Funk. Funk decided to take his wrestling to another level, instead of going back to the mega fan favourite party animal, Funk left some of the Six Shooter style in him and became the powerhouse. Funk then decided that he was better and fitter since his brutal attack, and has returned to Cairo in the African Isles and no longer run as a Road Hammer.
While running as Six-Shooter SJ, was suspended and returned to England to partake in a few matches in his home country. Once again going under "Hotstuff" SJ Funk. After this came to an End SJ returned to C2W for a week to help his brother Brian. Still as SJ Funk. However after some long thinking the brothers abandoned C2W because of the way the federation was going, Later SJ decided to quit wrestling altogether and refused to say whether a return to in ring action would be lining up for the future, as he released that he quit wrestling to sort his life out again. Now that SJ has sorted his personal vendetta out he believes that he is ready for a return into the business. This time however SJ released that when he returns, no matter what federation he returns to he will only join one that will let him be himself again, and this he is going to go Oldschool. Donning the Old school Name "Funky" as his nickname but still keeping the SJ Funk.
Away from wrestling SJ has found a new light in the form of Best Friend Leon Williams 26year old sister Kelly. The two have since become close and are now going out with each other. This even came after Leon told SJ he wouldn't mind SJ going out with his kid sister.
