The Matt Denton Shoot Interview

Interviewer:- Thankyou for taking this time out of your hectic schedule for this interview Matt.

Denton:- Don't call me Matt. Call me.... Sir Denton.

Interviewer:- Why?

Denton:- Interview ove...

Interviewer:- Ok ok. So Sir Denton, We'll start off with your first championship reign. The FW...

Denton:- ECW.

Interviewer:- Huh?

Denton:- The first title I held was the ECW Hardcore Championship.

Interviewer:- Oh right. The ECW Hardcore title. How did you feel winning that title?

Denton:- I didn't feel anything, holding a championship for a pile of crap promotion that couldn't afford a proper wrestling ring. I worked my ass off in that promotion and I wasn't offered anything bigger than the Hardcore Championship.

Interviewer:- So basically you were held down.

Matt Denton:- Sort of. In Lehmann's terms I was being held down whilst the owner was jacking off his dog.

Interviewer:- No need for that language Sir Denton.

Matt Denton:- I meant it. I went to his office one time and he was there with his do...

Interviewer:- Eww. Mental picture.

Matt Denton:- Yeah. You should have been there.

Interviewer:- Hell no. Anyway, when you went to FWA, you won the FWA United Kingdom Championship on your first night.

Matt Denton:- Yes. I was lucky enough to pull double duty that night. Winning a Triple Threat match then going into a ladder match. Both very grueling matches. Although it was all made worthwhile as I pulled down that championship belt. That was a good deal... That was until is was slammed torso first into a ladder by some glorified jobber called the Messiah.

Interviewer:- How did you recover so quickly from that attack?

Matt Denton:- After being in such a dangerous environment in ECW, that prepared me for most weapon shots. However, when you go out into a ladder macth, and you are ontop of that ladder.... You can see most of the crowd... That adrenaline rush right there can numb your body, being somewhat invunerable to pain. Then when the adrenaline wore off, the pain wasn't so bad.

Interviewer:- What was the backstage environemt like in the FWA?

Matt Denton:- It was genuinely hateful. It was full of massive ego's battling for the role of top dog...

Interviewer:- MENTAL IMAGE!!!!!!! EWWWWW!

Matt Denton:- You seriously have issues. Anyway, I had my own locker room, meaning that I was better than those assholes.

Interviewer:- You had an on-screen friendship with the owner at that time, Flex Washington. What was he like offscreen?

Matt Denton:- He was a fucking egomaniac. Sometimes when he was on a rant, I would feel like standing up and beating the living hell out of him. And I did that just three minutes before I was fired. When I was beating him up, I felt free. Liberated from the shackles that held me down in the FWA. Granted, I was pushed higher in the FWA than ECW. But there was still something holding me back from being my true self. That thing was Flex Washington. That c**t deserved the attack he got from me. And the best thing is that since it was in the ring... He couldn't do anything about it.

Interviewer:- Right. Well after you left FWA you moved on to PPW.

Matt Denton:- PPW? I never went there.

Interviewer:- Ok then. CWA?

Matt Denton:- Ahh... The CWA. The place that fired me for having an injury. That was stupid. After I was fired, their company went into an immediate downward spiral. I was the only thing that held CWA together. And when they lost me. They lost money.

Interviewer:- Well thats all we have time for. Thankyou for the interview Matt.

Matt Denton:- I told you to call me Sir DENTON! INTERVIEW OVER!
