RP#7 - Perfection Pt. 8
Prologue/Opening Scene

Walter Doyle

Everyone sat around the dinner table. It had been an especially trying day with things happening that Walter never thought in a million years would happen. He had hit his wife and their son had been stolen. Joyce was still glaring at him as if he was the one who had kidnapped Eric. Julie on the other hand seemed quite pleased about something and Walter could at least look her way for a moment’s peace. Yes, the day had been long but at least they were all here at the dinner table now; Walter, Joyce, Julie, Dennis… and Hank.

The monstrous man who was responsible for all the apprehension in the room sat at the head of the table with a smile on his face. Only Walter and Joyce knew truly the extent of his evil. To Julie and Dennis he was introduced as Walter’s friend and as a sort of life counselor that would be there to help the family deal with some of the problems they were facing and in that regard they told the children that Eric was staying with Joyce’s parents for the time being. It was a believable enough explanation for a young teenager like Dennis and Julie had other things on her mind to really question what her parents were telling her.

Walter looked down at his plate hoping to avoid the glaring eyes of his wife and the smiling face of Hank. He was sitting in Walter’s normal seat at the head of the table, but Walter didn’t feel like he belonged there anyway. In some ways Joyce was right. It was his flat tire that had attracted Hank in the first place and it was his inability to say no to his son about the ice cream that enabled the kidnapping of his son. If he had told Dennis no like he should have then he could have been home in time to protect his family. He could’ve been the man of the house and the rightful protector that he thought he was. Instead he now felt worthless just like his wife had said.

"So Julie how was your day?"

Hank asked as he bit into a piece of the meatloaf that Walter’s wife had prepared. He didn’t know how she could focus on cooking with him starring over her shoulder the entire time, but she had sucked up enough strength to finish the job.

Julie looked over to Hank and seemed a bit reluctant to answer, but eventually spoke, "It was alright."

Hank frowned slightly. He obviously was looking for a more detailed and in depth response, but Julie didn’t feel like talking about her private life with someone she didn’t even know.

Hank, not wanting to let the issue rest continued pressing her, "So I hear you have a date this Saturday?"

Walter looked up as Julie shot her mom a glare. Joyce didn’t respond as she just picked up a piece of food and mechanically shoveled it into her mouth. Julie shook her head as she turned back to face Hank.

"I did, but I don’t anymore."

"Oh, well with Eric gone for the time being I don’t see why you shouldn’t go on your date. It’d be a good thing to get away for awhile while we deal with some things here."

Julie looked a bit suspicious and surprised as she looked towards her parents for confirmation, "Really?"

Hank nodded towards Walter who quickly replied to his daughter, "Of course honey. It’d be good for you to meet some new friends."

Julie smiled, "Thanks daddy."

She couldn’t remove the smile from her face the rest of the dinner and despite how lousy Walter felt he got a small sense of relief from the fact that at least someone in his family could be happy for the time being. He knew it would all get worse before it got better.

Julie Doyle

She had just finished calling Matt and telling him that she could make the fair when she heard a knock at her door. For once she was hoping it’d be her mom or dad so that she could thank them for letting her go out. Yet as the door opened she was a bit surprised to see Hank standing in the doorway.

"May I enter?" he asked politely.

Julie nodded and the large man entered her room. She was both impressed and intimidated by his size as he could barely fit through the doorway. He looked around her room carefully and pointed to her computer chair asking permission to take a seat. Julie nodded once again as he sat down and faced her. He wheeled the chair closer to her bed where she was sitting and looked at her. He had been nothing but polite and still Julie felt uneasy being around him.

"Alright look, I’m not just a friend of your dads, but I’m also a sort of life coach if you will. That’s not my exact title, but to keep it simple let’s just leave it at that. Now I’m not here just to have dinner and meet you guys, but I’m here to help. Walter’s been especially off key lately and I think it has a lot to do with his family and his home life. I know he’s been having some issues with your mother especially after she was placed on medication and I know you’ve been having your fair share of problems with her as well and that’s why I’m here. I’m here to help and turn things around so you all can go back to a loving family just like you used to be. Now, Walter and Joyce won’t be very open about it all so it’s going to be tough for me to find out the problems that they’re facing. They’re gonna be really closed about the topic and won’t want their privacy invaded and I get that, but for me to be effective I’ll need to know things about them that they may not want to share and that’s where you come in. Dennis is just a boy and he’s too young to be brought into this, but you’re an adult yourself and I’m hoping I can turn to you for information and for help. Will you help me help them?"

Julie didn’t know quite how to respond at first. She felt a bit of pride at being called an adult for the first time in her life. She found it amazing that a complete stranger was the one who would finally acknowledge her maturity and not treat her like a teenager. He was here to help and she truly did want her family to go back to how they used to be and if he could help than she’d do what she could to help him. No words came to her however so she just responded with a nod.

"Excellent. Now let me just say one thing. Though your parents might not treat you like an adult you are one. You’re in college and soon you’ll be moving out and thinking about starting a family of your own. If you let your mom and dad control every aspect of your life you’ll never be the adult you can be. Yes, obey and honor your family, but do it reasonably. If you’ve got a date or someone you want to go see then you should do it. Like this Saturday, go and have fun and if something happens well then it happens. You’ll never learn if you don’t make mistakes right?"

She nodded again. This man seemed to say all the right things to her. They resonated with her and made perfect sense. For the first time since she had seen him she was glad he was here. With a smile she decided that she would take his advice.

"Thanks Mr…."

"Hank, just call me Hank. And I’m glad I could’ve been some help. Now, if you ever want to talk about anything don’t hesitate to get in touch with me. Walter and your mom have my number, but that’s a work number. This is my private cell phone number; don’t be afraid to call day or night. I know how you feel; it wasn’t long ago that I was 19 myself. This beard just makes me look older than I am, but really I know the pressures of college and entering adulthood so really don’t hesitate."

Julie smiled and thanked Hank for all his help. Now that he had said it he did look quite young. The beard made him look older, but now that she was looking at him in a new light she knew he was no older than mid twenties. He smiled and closed the door behind him. Julie took the number and placed it in her desk drawer and thought to herself that Hank was actually quite handsome. She wondered if he had a girlfriend.

Journal Entry #7 – November 17, 2009

"Well I’ve gotta hand it to Walter and Joyce they somehow kept their cool. They didn’t let their children know of the impending danger that’s gonna be coming their way and that’s noble of them thinking of their children even as they themselves are rotting away on the inside. I’m gonna scoop them out from the inside and take everything from them. I’m gonna turn them into hollow shells of what they used to be before I crush them.

And fuck, Julie is a sensational piece of ass. 19 and just absolutely fuckable. She’s literally got a perfect body and that whole innocent thing she has going is just hitting all the right notes with. Nice, perky tits and a cute face. God damn, I just want to ruin her so bad. It’s going to be fun seeing how much she can take before she breaks or if that’ll even be necessary. She’s easily suggestible and I could swear she was smitten with me. She’s never been treated like an adult, but I can promise that I’ll treat her like an adult and then some. She’s no Amelia, but she’s not a bad girl to play with. Looks like I’ve found another doll for my collection, hopefully this one lasts longer than the last."
