Shawn Kutter vs. Tyson Banks

It was an unusual way to begin the night that would crown the first W3 World Champion. The match between Tyson Banks and Shawn Kutter had just begun their last chance match but the match was interrupted as soon as the two locked horns, but the fashion in which the match was interrupted was very unorthodox and never seen before in W3. The lights just went out and everyone saw it as a power cut but then the lights flashed on and off repeatedly; strobe lights, as everything around seemed to be going in slow motion and nothing was properly visible for a few seconds until the lights came back on, in the ring was no one but the referee looking around for the two W3 superstars, they were no where to be seen and so the referee looked towards the back stage and began the count... 1..2..3..4..5..6....7....8....9.....10! The referee called for the bell and called the match over with a double count out. However more then the result, the main concern and question everyone was asking was that, what had actually happened and where the two men went! Hopefully we can find out at some time in the show.


Chris Roman vs. Sam Madison

In the opening match of the night, Chris Roman basically destroyed Sam Madison by punishing him with all kinds of technical moves from his arsenal. Sam Madison never really displayed any offense as Chris Roman simply reversed everything he had to offer, and ended up putting him to the ground, and giving him some ground and pound. The only time throughout the entire match that it looked like Madison even stood a chance is when Madison reversed a irish whip, and ducked to deliver a back body drop. Roman had this move perfectly scouted, and hit his signature move “Out in Fire”, a vicious double piledriver. Roman then signaled for his finisher “Burning Rome”, and executed it flawlessly when Madison stumbled back up to his feet. After taunting the fans and showboating, Chris Roman finally attempted the pin fall for the three count to pick up a victory in his debut match.


The door of Chris Phoenix's office was shut, and under normal circumstances, Heather would have knocked. But a fresh batch of pissed off has been boiling over since Violence, and she ignored the propriety as she swung the doow wide to take a look at her boss and brother, her newly won title over her shoulder. Pinning her nonchalant big brother with the steel eyes that made her famous, she watched him lean back from his desk, looking like he knew exactly what was in store. Chris appeared to be going over paperwork when he was rudely interrupted..

"What the hell was that, Chris?! I thought we were keeping this business completely subjective from the family bullshit! Would you fire anyone else for just dating someone?"

. Chris slid his chair back and threw his feet up on the desk. He then placed his arms behind his head as she fumed, staring at him.

"Under normal circumstances, no. I fired Ryan Greede simply because I don't approve of the guy. I know what his intentions were, and I don't want anyone taking advantage of my little sister."

“Thats none of your business! Even if you didn't approve of Greede, I'm an adult. I can see who I want."

Heather crossed her arms, staring at her older brother, sighing deeply.

"Look Chris, if you want to play big brother, don't do it in the ring. I've been able to take care of myself for a long long time. if you remember correctly, no one was even supposed to know that we were family."

Chris pulls his feet off of his desk, and sits up. He shakes his head in disbelief, and replies.

"You're an adult? That may be, but as long as you are on my watch, you will not be seeing any low life piece of trash like Greede."

Chris then stands up, and stares into Heathers eyes.

"And yeah, no one would have known we were family, but you had to throw a fit over Ryan's firing. He had it coming, and that goes to anyone else in that locker room that thinks they can take advantage of you."

Heather's eyes blaze.

"I will make my choices as I see fit. Anyone I see from this point on is my business. I'm an athlete and a wrestler here before I'm your sisler."

Heather crosses her arms, lifting her chin cockily.

"You didn't think I knew what Greede was after? Or what every guy is after?"

There was an offhanded grunt from around the corner outside the door from a person just out of Chris's view, one that Heather pointedly ignored.

"C'mon, I deserve more credit that that. I have plenty of people watching out for me. I don't need it from my boss."

Chris becomes angered, and snaps back at Heather.

"Well, until you can prove to me that you can stick up for yourself, and I see it with my own two eyes, you can bet that I will have final say in who you see, especially if they are on my roster."

Chris then begins to laugh in a cocky tone.

"I mean, I'm you're big brother... It's the least I can do."

Heather crosses her arms again, staring at Chris for a long second before the dangerous half smile of hers surfaces.

“That’s fine Chris. You want proof? Book it. Book however you see fit to make it so I can show you exactly what I’m made of. Because I don’t need a babysitter. Not from you, and not from any other person in this federation. And as your TV champ…”

Heather’s eyes blazed one more time evenly.

“I’ll take on whatever you’ve got. And then I want a public in-ring apology from you, in front of God and everyone.”

Heather stares at him for another long second, before slamming the door to her office on the way out.

Chris sits back down in his chair, as a conniving grin spreads across his face.

“I don’t think you know what you just asked for. I’ll find you the perfect opponent for the pay-per-view!”

The scene then fades to a commercial break.



Jen Blackhart vs. Melissa Arctica

In a match of two newcomers, the crowd was entertained by Jen Blackhart, and Melissa Arctica. The crowd really didn’t favor Jen at all, and Jen made it perfectly clear she didn’t care by taunting the crowd on numerous occasions. Melissa and Jen displayed some awesome talent with the offense going back and forth through out the entire match. Halfway through the match, Melissa hit a spinning neck breaker on Jen, that looked as if she might have actually broken Jen’s neck. To the surprise of the ref, and the fans, Jen quickly recovered, and regained the momentum of the match by giving Melissa a snap ddt, and followed that up with rolling thunder. The finish came when Jen Blackhart hit one of her two spectacular finishers, “Black Hatred”, and was awarded with the three count.


Backstage we see Heidi Adams standing in front of the W3 Violence sign and monitor with a microphone in hand. She looks somewhat nervous but quickly composes herself to conduct her next interview.

Heidi Adams: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest now is one of the challengers for the W3 World Championship coming up. He is a newcomer to W3 but already has a large fan following, please welcome, Cody Clark!

Clark steps into frame. His ring gear on and his signature Absinthe VonZipper sunglasses neatly placed over his eyes. He stares down at Heidi, ready to unleash verbal hell.

Heidi Adams: Cody, tonight you challenge for the W3 World Championship, a great opportunity for anyone in this company. What are your thoughts going into this match?

Clark adjusts his elbow pad, pondering the question. He then simple replies, without the slightest hint of hesitation or fear.

Cody Clark: My thoughts? Simple. Win at all costs.

Clark pauses for a moment, letting his message sink into all the ears that have heard it. He then continues, with a stiff tone. The tone of a revolution.

Cody Clark: Heidi, I came to W3 with one goal and one focus, that was to bring this company to the height of it’s popularity, with me as the shining face for all to see. I want to lead this company to the promise land and the only way to do that is to become the W3 World Champion. Preston Payne dropped the ball when he left the company and as a World Champion, that’s not acceptable. Myself on the other hand? After tonight, I will hold the title high above my head and steer the S.S. World Wide Wrestling to far away lands, where we will all achieve the greatness we so rightly deserve.

Clark believes his words, as he says them with such conviction. To doubt his sincerity to these words would be a fools game. His opponents doubt his words, and thus....fools.

Heidi Adams: You’re saying everyone in W3 deserves the same amount of greatness as you hope to achieve in this company?

Heidi obviously didn’t understand Clark’s statement so he explains it to her. For the other people who didn’t understand it this is welcome clarification. But for the people who did, this is minor reinforcement.

Cody Clark: Certainly. If they earn it. You can’t be a slouch around these parts, not like Billy Boltz and Tha Serial Thrilla. You need to be a warrior, willing to sacrifice anything, in order to attain everything. Understand? Myself and El Novo are the only true warriors in this contest and as warriors, we will do battle, we will go head to head and I’m sorry for El Novo, but I will be the better warrior tonight.

The conviction stands strong, who would doubt such confidence? He will be World Champion.

Heidi Adams: You are overlooking Billy Boltz and Tha Serial Thrilla?

Clark quickly replies, his words like the strike of a cobra, quick, deadly and effective.

Cody Clark: Give me a reason why I shouldn’t.

Heidi Adams: Well the-

He doesn’t let her finish, her lacking explanation would only further anger the many Cody Clark fans in the audience, who have paid to see the Epic Messiah preach his gospel of a new tomorrow.

Cody Clark: Exactly Heidi. Neither men deserve this shot, and the only reason they attained it, is because they put out the minimal effort last week and easily defeated two no bodies. When I am at the helm of this company, that will not be acceptable. As World Champion, I want the card beneath me to put out as much great action as I will to close the show. If they don’t, W3 can never survive.

He is doing this for W3 and himself. He wants to take the company to the top. The fans who don’t support him, don’t support W3. These people should leave the event with their heads bowed in shame, for the betrayal of a blossoming company and a valiant leader.

Heidi Adams: You want people to outshine you?

Cody Clark: Not at all, but I want them to try. If I am giving 110%, I expect nothing else from the people beneath me.

The best for W3, anything else is not up to standard.

Heidi Adams: Any closing words?

What a question. For Cody Clark, that question could sprout an hour long dialogue but our hero has a title to win and no time to waste.

Cody Clark: Many. But I’ll only say a few. Tonight marks the second era of W3. Tonight we will start the quick ascension to the top of the world as the best wrestling promotion out there. It all starts with me. I will become W3 World Champion tonight, for World Wide Wrestling.

Clark exits the frame, his words hanging in the air for all to contemplate and ponder. He must win the World Championship tonight to bring W3 to new heights. Anything else would be below unacceptable...


Pike Andrews vs. Kyle Kaos

Hungry for a victory, Pike Andrews set out to gain one against W3 newcomer, Kyle Kaos. The arrogant Kaos had a beautiful debut against Pike Andrews that had the crowd stunned, and not knowing who to cheer for since they are both heels. Even though Pike Andrews dominated the early part of this match, Kaos quickly turned the tables with a spinning wheel kick out of no where, connecting with Andrews head. From that moment on, Pike didn’t seem like the same wrestler that we seen earlier in the match, as Kaos continued beating on him through out the rest of the match. After about ten minutes, Kaos executed the Venöm and followed that up with the pin and three count for the victory.


Suicidal Championship Match
Spade vs. Christian Lee (C)

Christian Lee didn’t stand a chance defending his Suicidal Championship against Spade. Spade was on top of his game, and combined his arsenal of deadly combinations with the usage of weapons at ringside. From steel chairs to garbage can lids, Spade beat Christian Lee to a bloody pulp. Lee was losing so much blood the referee stopped the match half way through to have a medic check on the well being of Lee. Lee refused to quit, and the match went on. Spade eventually set up a table on the outside of the ring, and placed Lee on it before climbing back into the ring and jumping off of the top turnbuckle with a sling shot leg drop. Spade quickly stood back up and threw Lee back into the ring. Before sliding back into the ring himself, Spade grabbed a table and slid that in first. Spade then set the table up, before signaling for his finisher. As the crowd came to life, Spade picked up a beaten and broken Lee, and delivered the Ace of Spades through the table. He pinned him for the 1-2-3 to become the NEW W3 Suicidal Champion!

Spade celebrates his new W3 Suicidal championship. There's a mixed reaction between the crowd as his music hits the PA's, but again, for the second time tonight the lights go off before a strobe light effect started within the arena. There were screams and boo's from some of the anxious audience who looked on; maybe now they may know what is going on and who is behind all this. The arena lights up again but nothing has changed within the ring. Spade looks towards the entrance ramp with his arms out asking what that was all about, his well earned championship around his waist. The curious man and crowd look on as the lights slowly dim and the titantron is all static, as everyone waits.

The titantron moves into picture and it is difficult to see anything clearly, the whole picture is blurred out, but what can be seen are two dim lights, orange with a hint of red now and then, but far from steady. It looks like two candles but that is not conclusive. The picture remains blurred as all of a sudden a voice is heard.

Voice: Congratulations.. Spade...

A deep but soft voice is heard, the pause between the two words evident as into the picture, the new W3 member, Zachriel 'Darkside' Donahue is seen. The man is seen clearly although the background is still blurry. It can be safely said that these are two candle lights in the background, as the man; who looks pale with his long hair partially covering his left eye continued.

Zachriel Donahue: I congratulate you on this memorable night... And this is a memorable night for you Spade, memorable for two reasons... Firstly, for your victory and winning your first ever gold in W3... Secondly, for the introduction of someone who will soon be facing you in that very ring, and taking that Suicidal belt from you... Spade.. You must realise that where there is a beginning, there is always an end.. Death ends life, empires crumble, wars are won or lost, relationships break and end, and in your case Spade, title reigns finish... Spade.. You're now a champion, an extreme champion so it could be said that you have no fear; that your not afraid of anything because your the Suicidal champion, and to be that you cannot have any fears.. But unfortunately for you Spade... Darkside has arrived, Zachriel Donahue, the dark warrior has arrived and rides to you Spade, he rides towards you to make you realise your deepest fear... Yes Spade.. Your deepest fear which you will not realise until I tell it, and a fear which I will make you face in the near future Spade.. The fear of losing what is precious to you... The gold around your waist.. Enjoy the night as much as you can Spade...

Slowly the background which was a blur now comes into full detailed view. In the background, what were first thought to be candles, are actually two fires set ablaze. The burning flames can be seen clearly as Darkside continues to speak looking back towards the flames.

Zachriel Donahue: Two men were the first victims tonight of my dark world... Tyson Banks and Shawn Kutter; a waste of space, a waste of life Spade... W3 is about challenges and about success and how long you can remain successful.. Soon Spade, you will become one of my victims, and that success around your waist, will be mine... The dark warrior rides on towards his battlefield and he will make an example of every obstacle in his way... Every obstacle in my way to get what is around that waist of yours spade... You may brag that you are the sickest, fearless of any opponent; as you are now the suicidal champion.. However I await the moment I meet you in the middle of that ring... Where you shall experience my dark world... Where you shall face your fear...

With that Zachriel 'Darkside' Donahue turns and walks away from the camera as the titantron fades to black before going static and switching off. The crowd are shocked as this new W3 addition has made his mark and his motives clear. Spade looks on confused as the show goes to a commercial.


MAIN EVENT
W3 World Championship
Billy Boltz vs. Tha Serial Thrilla vs. Cody Clark vs. El Novo

The main event of the night was the best match by far. With every single seat in the Quicken Loans Arena being empty, every single fan in attendance stood on their feet eagerly waiting to see who would be their new W3 World Champion. The action in this match even spilled out of the ring, as Billy Boltz and Tha Serial Thrilla took it to the backstage area. Camera crews followed them as they beat and bloodied each other, and executed powerful moves onto the concrete floor. Meanwhile back in the ring, El Novo and Cody Clark put on one heck of a show, basically trying to on up the other. It was made perfectly clear that they had their opponents perfectly scouted. At one point, El Novo applied “The Tokyo End” submission move, and to the surprise of the fans and W3 locker room, Clark did not submit. Instead, he inched his way to the bottom rope to break the hold. El Novo seemed a bit upset, but didn’t let it get to him to bad. The match then switched to the back as we see Boltz knocking Tha Serial Thrilla out by a vicious pile driver onto the concrete. Boltz then headed back out to the ring, as Thrills laid their unconscious. Back in the ring, Clark has gained the momentum, and hit a delayed reverse german suplex. Both men laid in the ring trying to gasp for air as Boltz reentered, and stood in the corner. Boltz then engaged in a verbal argument with a couple of fans at ring side, and didn’t notice Cody Clark getting back up to his feet. Clark then ran over to Boltz with a full head of steam, and knocked him out when he connected with “The God Speed”. With Boltz and Thrilla clearly out of the match, Clark signaled for his finisher. El Novo came back to his feet, and reversed it , trying for a Novo Bomb, but that was quickly countered again, with Clark hitting the “Beginning/Ending”. Clark pinned Novo, as the referee started the three count. Cody Clark gets the pin, and becomes the new W3 World Champion. The arena erupts as Clark’s music hits, and the referee awards him with the coveted W3 Championship title. Clark throws it over his shoulder, and climbs to the middle turnbuckle to hold the title high above his head in celebration. El Novo stands up, and receives a standing ovation as well. Clark then climbs down, walks over and extends his hand in respect to El Novo. El Novo shakes his hand and leaves the ring, as the scene fades with Cody Clark in the ring celebrating his huge title victory.
