"Quality Television"

Trent falls face-first onto his comfy bed, tossing his car keys on the nightstand. He buries his face into his pillow, releasing a heavy sigh. He's exhausted. Following someone can takes it's toll.

His shoes find their way onto the floor beneath the foot of his bed. Following not far behind are his socks. The removing of clothing works it's way up until he's stripped completely. He sleeps nude. You should be most comfortable, right?

He climbs under the sheets, tosses and turns until he reaches a suitable level of comfort. He feels something under his back. The remote. He presses a button and the television powers on. He figures he'll watch a little of it. Plus, it's hard for him to fall asleep without something on--the television, radio, or whatever.

He Tivo'd the Hell-Fire Pay-Per-View. He figures he'll watch that. It comes on. Some weird feed is playing. He doesn't pay it much mind, instead he stacks some pillows to rest against.

The opening match comes on. Although, it's not really an opening match. Michael Moore and Goliath seem to be conversing. Goliath then proceeds to quit and Gwenivere voices her objection. It's kind of fucked up how this scenario took place. Trent really wanted nothing to do with the assault on Goliath. He's never had a problem with Goliath and always thought he was a pretty cool guy. Plus, fighting alongside people he's not on the best of terms with wasn't an added bonus. But, it's his job.

A chance of a lifetime match. Funny, that neither of the competitors showed up. Instead, a nice space-filler is presented. The new commish is introduced, J.B. Shooter. He's really simple, almost to the point of being complex. His introduction is strikingly familiar, as if it took place in an earlier show. Hmm, maybe it's just Trent.

Cassie Hurst, the Syndicated Champion, makes an appearance. There's something about her that turns Trent off, oddly. Her persona, her aura, her style, something about her seeds a feeling of uneasiness within Trent. He'd probably fuck her, though.

Cameron Behringer and Johnny Dangerous face off. Trent has to admit that Cameron is pretty impressive. And if he's consistent, he'll go far in SSW. He seems to have the dedication, that even some veterans seem to lack. Admiration could be the feeling Trent has, but of course, Trent admires no one more than himself.

The $25,000 Ladder Match graces the screen. Nothing really spectacular since the new talent involved in the match failed to perform. Gwenivere ends up getting the $25,000. At least, there's a joke about Britney Johnson's nickname, BJ, during the match.

Next, Trent King makes his appearance. New entrance and all, accompanied by his lovely Entrance Girls. He makes a speech in which he gives up the Supreme Championship. Not that he doesn't feel esteemed and honored to hold the most valuable belt of the federation, but he's conquered it already. Twice. He feels it's time for a new goal, new direction. He wants Malice gold. He actually doesn't know where the Supreme Title is. He didn't bring it home with him. But, he is booked in a match at Violence against Stu-E for the prestigious belt. Fuck, what are the odds?

Goliath then defeats Eddie Williams. Maybe he was fueled by his anger over his earlier beating and that allowed him to perform so well. Who knows? It'll be a mystery since he's gone now...

Finally, Trent's match. Not the best one to be booked in. Teaming up with Colton to face Stu-E Price and Daniel Bamlett. He really could not care less about the guys in this match, including his partner. Colton and Daniel are just co-workers. They never really cross his mind as people outside of work. But Stu-E, Trent detests the bastard with a fiery passion. Trent makes the mistake of assuming that people who live in the UK are somehow higher in intelligence, more sophisticated, more civil than others and Stu-E Price instantly proves that assumption false. He's amazed, as well as, annoyed by Stu-E's inability to close his mouth, his constant unasked for opinions and comments, and his overall fakeness. Stu-E's the type of person that will smile in your face and stab in you in the back after a few beers. Trent's never really hated anyone. He either likes or dislikes a person. But, Stu-E has found a part of Trent over the barrier of disliking him. He's sorry, fake, and two inches deep. He will never be able to contend with Trent because of his refusal to shut the fuck up, look, and listen. No one learns by talking. He honestly makes Trent sorry to be an alcoholic. Bitch...

As the show begins to conclude, the final match is Sid Frankenstein versus Jamie "Kodiak" Heck. Kodiak is cool guy. Trent and he joined SSW around the same time and he's watched him grow, while growing himself. He's truly deserving of praise and he's one of the only people Trent can respect in SSW. Sid Frankenstein and Trent have had some interaction, but nothing major. He views him as his biggest challenge now, since he's seeking the Malice Title. He's a tough competitor and a truly dedicated person. Much like Trent. Their battle shall be one to make history.

Trent consciousness slowly begins to drift away. Though his partialy opened eyes, he can see on his alarm clock, that it is a little after two in the morning. He hears an indistinct ringing and realizes it's the doorbell. He groggily climbs out of bed, grabs a robe that he haphazardly tosses on and ties, and heads to the door to see who, at such a time in the morning, would break him away from his quality television.
