Dominic had came so far to face Super Sharp on that day, the fateful day on Capital Mountain. The very same Mountain he now stood atop of. This was the mountain that seperated Capital City itself from the barren wastelands on the other side. Sharp carelessly allowed their fight to go on within the city walls, it was obvious that he was not doing the same for Chris.

When Sharp delivered the final blow Dominic could feel himself flying through the air, a numb feeling encompassing his body. He could feel the impact as his body smashed into the hard rock of Capital Mountain, as he fell alongside thousands of small rocks and several larger boulders. The instant his body hit the ground he had blacked out, thinking for certain he would die.

How long had it been? Days? Months? Years, even? Dominic did not know, but when he reawakened he felt a burning sensation in his stomach and throat from lack of food and water. His entire body felt like it was being crushed, and his tired muscles were twitching at the intensity of it all. Dominic powered up as much a he could, throwing the giant rocks off of himself and falling forward in pain. He was still weak, he couldn't possibly keep fighting.

And it was then he realized...it was over. He looked up to see the once great Capital City in flames, heroes and villains alike doing battle in one of the bloodiest fashions he'd ever witnessed in his life. Tears filled Dominic's eyes as he struggled to his feet, watching in a state of disbelief. So intent was he on the scene before him he never saw Golden Man fly forward, never saw him ready his attack.

But he sensed it, and that was all he needed.

Dominic staggered to the side, ducking the rainbow-colored attack from Golden Man and ramming his weakened body into him, knocking him to the ground. Dominic weakly held out his arm, tilting his head towards the Man to see utter horor in his eyes.

"You...but you're dead!" cried Golden Man in a shrill, high pitched voice. Dominic looked at his hands, burned and charred from his battle with Sharp all that time ago.

"So I was, it may seem...but no longer." whispered Dominic, "A Pericolo never says die."

And with a bang, Golden Man was gone.

Dominic turned his attention to the city, his eyes squinting carefully. He charged in, surveying the damage carefully when he finally saw a man he'd never think he'd see again.

"CHRIS!" shouted Dominic as he rushed forward, only to be speared off his feet by none other then Matthew Christ II, man of 1,000 secret identities.

"I'LL MAKE EVERYTHING GROOVY, YOU ANTICHRIST PUNK!" shouted Logan in a jibberish-like rant, as he rained down upon Dominic with punch after punch. Dominic grit his teeth and shot his arm out, firing off a desperation shot in Logan's face, utterly knocking him out. He sat up, expecting to see Chris taking care of the other man he was fighting...only to see the other man standing before him.

In the corner of his eye Dominic could see Chris chasing after someone...a large, hulking figure. It was then that Dominic's face paled in realization..

Super Sharp...

The crack from Ion's fist sent Dominic spiralling back into reality, as he painfully turned his head back around to focus his attention to him. When Ion caught a glimpse of his face he stood in shock, realizing who he was.

"Dominic...?!" he said in disbelief, as Dominic's eyes softened.

"I'm...sorry Ion." whispered Dominic, and with the chop of his hand he knocked Ion out cold as well. Looking out at Capital Mountain, Dominic could see Super Sharp and Chris Champion had all ready flew to the top and were making their way back down.

'It has to be a trap...Sharp has to be up to something.' thought Dominic to himself, frowning.

Dominic leapt into the air, ready to fly off in his own chase...only to be tackled in midair by Remi BoFrench.

"Ho ho!" shouted Remi in a thick French accent; despite, well, probably not being French at all. "Who do we have here? A villain? Let us see who you are!"

Remi rolled Dominic over, catching a glimpse of his face and blinking in confusion.

"Ze dead man?! But it cannot be!" Remi cried out, eyes wide. Dominic offered a weak smile, chuckling.

"Anything's...possible." he said with a grunt of effort, shooting out his arm and cracking Remi clear under the chin. Ion was just getting up several feet away when Remi found himself slamming into him, both men falling to the ground out cold once more. Dominic winced as he stood, looking out at the mountain.

"This is your battle Chris...but the least I could do is be there for you."

And it was this that brought him to this point. Dominic began his ascent the mountain slowly, still weakened by all of the sudden battles. Sounds of gunfire, cries of pain, the heat of the flames still licking at his back from Capital City. Everything was in ruin...and it was all thanks to the tyrannic reign of Super Sharp. How could they possibly continue on when this man had a strangle hold on the world itself? There was no hope for Capital City, no hope for Earth, so long as Super Sharp still had power.

"Chris...is all we have left." Dominic grunted, forcing himself up to the next level of the mountain much like a freight train on a falling track. His energy was slowly returning but all the while his bodily strength was fading. He was so close to the top of the mountain, so close to where he needed to be...

"WAIT!" a voice shouted from below, as Dominic clutched tightly onto the rocks and looked down under his arm. Ion was ascending quickly, still fresh with energy as Dominic struggled to reach an opening in the side of the mountain. He staggered in and turned, eyes squinting as Ion pulled himself in and looked over at him, frowning a little.

"Matthew Christ is coming for you...it won't be long before he arrives. I was hoping one day I'd be able to face you Dominic...and if Matt is going to come after yu in your condition I doubt you have much of a chance. Allow me to face you now, Dominic...allow us to test our abilities."

Dominic squinted his eyes and sighed, slowly falling into position. He'd nearly beaten Sharp in the past...he'd taken out hordes of enemies one after another, and even now when they were so close to what could be the end times...he had to fight again.

"Let's do this." whispered Dominic, nodding his head.

Sharp couldn't keep him down, there was no way that Ion, Matt, or anyone else in Capital City could either. Dominic was a man on a mission, a fallen hero looking to witness the saving of the world or it's very end. And though he prayed for the former, the latter seemed so close to coming true that waves of fear could be felt running laps along his spine.

They were on the eve of a brand new day for the world itself. Though it was only now getting closer to night time, the metaphorical 'new day' would be soon at hand. Dominic would not miss it, he would be there before the eve of it had came to pass and it was finally upon them.

And with a roar, Ion threw his first attack.
