Dominic Pericolo:// Just another dream

“Funny...that’s not how I remembered the ending of that particular movie.” Dominic said softly, staring up through the darkness at the ceiling overhead. Another dream, another...strange dream, no less.

“What’s wrong honey?” whispered a tired Suki Minamoto, who rolled over and gently clung to Dominic, nuzzling her face into his chest.

“Nothing, Suki...go back to sleep, okay? I’ll be fine.” Dominic sighed, staring up at the ceiling still. “I just had an awkward dream is all.”

With a worried moan, Suki shook her head and held herself closer to him, slowly drifting back into sleep. Yet Dominic couldn’t do such a thing, he couldn’t let himself fall back into a world where his imagination and dreams were allowed to run wild and uncontained.

After all...it would be disappointing for him to finally win the ‘big one’, only to wake up and find it a dream.

Crossing his arms behind his head and darting his eyes about in the darkness, Dominic took in a deep breath and attempted to process the thoughts running throughout his mind. On one hand, he had a North American title match coming up and, as strange as it may seem, he was having flashbacks of Mathew Logan’s words around a year before. On the other hand, he was to participate in an even bigger match later into the night: War Games.

Dark Horizon was just as stacked for him as Eve was, if not even more. He wasn’t sure how he’d be able to walk out of the Pay-Per-View with his career still in tact. Yet he’d been able to survive the Final Solution match, albeit through failure...right?

If he could win War Games for Bradshaw’s team, it would give him the very boost that he needed to go onward into King of Violence, and manage the win to receive his shot for the title.

Likewise, if he could win the North American title...he would still get that boost he needed.

His chances were fairly good, alot better then anyone else’s in the pay-per-view’s, that’s for sure.

“I’ll take them both,” Dominic whispered to no one in particular, a slight smirk crossing his features. “I’ll win War Games, and even before that...I’ll have won the North American championship.”

Memories of his previous reign came to mind, serving to only further his desire for victory, for the ever familiar high of defeating Matthew Logan for one of the best prizes in the game today.

“One way or another, I’ll win it back...” he whispered, nodding as though to confirm his own beliefs, and then in almost an amusing fashion to himself, he added, “I’ll take back my precious...”

Golum had nothing on him and, leading into this PPV, Dominic felt that no one else did either. This was his time to shine...and he’d be damned to let some ‘Deadbeat Superhero’ fuck it up for him.

“Ding ding, you two...” he chuckled, closing his eyes slowly, “Ding. Fucking. Ding.

All hail the future king.
