act six: the death of superman

"Yeah... I'm ready for this thing, Suki, I... I really am. How's Ehno doing, you got him ready for the big night tonight?"

The atmosphere is electric, the excitement buzzing as Dominic Pericolo, the NLCW World Heavyweight Champion, makes his final drive from his hotel on over to the arena, to the place where in only a matter of several hours will he be facing the man he calls his best friend.

He smiles at the words coming from the speaker in his ear, one of those annoying bluetooth headsets he hates so much but would rather use when driving than anything else. In times like these, when he can hear the happy sounds of his family... that hatred he has for them simply seems to vanish.

Though the hatred for those obnoxious ones who do use them in public stubbornly stays, and with good reason.

Dominic smirks, hearing the questioning tone in the voice of his wife, the wonder in her voice as to where this change of attitude in him had came from, and how it had happened overnight. Sometimes, though... it doesn't take long for a revelation to set in, and in Dominic's case, it had only taken a bit of educating to gain the confidence he had flowing in his veins.

He was ready for everything that Chris Champion had to offer him.

"See, I realized that this time won't be like the others, and... I realized that, in the end..."
