I've always hated hospital food, you know.

As a child, I often thought the food which my schools provided couldn't be matched in how badly I looked upon them... further down the line of my life, though, I was introduced to the wonders of hospital-provided food. It's quite depressing, actually... for a place meant to provide such security for a patient, a means of bringing their health back... they have food as enticing as death itself.

So when I was first presented with food from the nurse, I could only shake my head and sigh. I knew how concerned the staff of the hospital were about me... knew that they only meant for the best during my time spent waiting for Suki to recover. I knew... knew that I'd left an impression in this hospital-- my ever-constant visits were proof of that. It was almost like I was one of their patients, an injury to the heart so great that they couldn't help but survey my actions like those of a cancer patient. Indeed, I was much like one at this point; the poison pumping from my shattered heart practically corroding away my very body.

It was... more difficult then I remembered, seeing the one you love lie so motionlessly before you.

"Everything will turn out fine..."

My name... is Dominic Pericolo. Not too long ago, my fiance', Suki Minamoto, was injured in a car accident that has left her in a comatose state for the past week. Ever since, there has been only one word which has haunted my mind: Deja'vu. This... this has all happened to me in the past, and it is happening again. Horrors resurfacing, reminding me of what once was able to drag me down. To lose a loved one, to lose a person you'd give up everything for...

I've yet to lose Suki, and I refuse to believe I will. I have given up hope for everything else so I could have enough for her, and I will not lose hope in her as well.

"Mr. Dominic... your agent's here. Are you sure about this?"

"Yeah... I'm going to need it."

I will do what it takes to keep this dream alive.

Ramen Noodle Soup

Like I said... always hated hospital food; so I got used to making my own. The nurses stopped asking questions when I had an agent bring in an oven...

They figured I'd be with her for awhile... and I will be, as often as I can.

Sure, between NLCW and this tournament I entered myself into before the accident, I won't have much time... but I'll have enough to keep my hope alive, and that's what matters. Winning, losing... so long as I can fly back that night, to come see her again, I don't care what else happens.

My name is Dominic Pericolo and, apparently, my opponent's is Tobias C. Smith.

I don't know what to say about you, don't know what to think about you, don't know if I should care that I'm facing you... all I know is that I have to face you, and I guess that I will. So, uh... good luck, Tobias.

Now for that soup.
