True Morale Raiser
It's no doubt that Bonafide brings positive energy to the Cosmos when playing, but as shown in last game's against a Barcelona that seemed more like a pushover than anything, it was shown that Macho brings that same electricity if not more. At the end of the first half the score was 1 - 1, and it was a pretty close game, specially after Barcelona being the first to score with a goal from Samuel Eto'o in the 3rd minute. Farfan got the Cosmos back in the game at the 15th, and from there it seemed to be pretty equal. Then in the 52' minute Macho would come in for a very inactive Paal, among Mancini for Mathieu. Just a few minutes after being subbed in Bonafide blasted a nice shot to beat goal keeper Jorquera to make things 2 - 1 in the 58'. From there it was not only 5 minutes that Halnats, who has a very inactive first half made the 3 - 1. 7 minutes later the recently subbed in Macho made it 4 - 1, and 15 mins later would come Halnats with an assits from Macho to make it 5 - 1. Barca tried to close in the beating after Ronaldinho scored in the 87', but it was obviously too late. It wasn't long after that when Bonafide retaliated with an excellent shot from about 25 feet out to make it a final 6 - 2. The Cosmos seem to be in the right form, and it's obvious that when Macho and Bonafide are on their best day, it's going to be a goal fest!
"It's just a great feeling to know that you have these two guys on your team. Dealing with one is hard, then when Macho steps into the field, it's like almost clear that we're going to win. He could be a nightmare in there if you're on the oppossitions team, and maybe that's why he gets fouled as much as he does. But hey, he still gets the job done. That's just the kind of good player he is." said team-mate Kikinho when asked about Macho's performance. One thing is certain though, and that's that the Cosmos are on one hell of a streak, especially when it comes to facing Barcelona.
