APPEARANCE:
Dean is a blond man with a teen heartthrob appearance; he keeps his golden hair pulled back in a ponytail, and his skin is pretty much flawless. His features almost appear to have been sculpted to perfection. Dean's build is fairly similar to that of Kurt Angle; however, his legs and neck are slightly longer.
Dean's ring attire consists of a black Undertaker-style tank top and a pair of white slacks, custom-tailored for durability and freedom of movement. A black belt keeps the slacks firmly in place. He wears black wrestling boots and black elbow pads; his full-fingered gloves are white and tuck into the elbow pads. The upper-body attire is hidden under a crisp white dress coat until he actually begins the match.
PERSONALITY:
Dean is one cocky little weasel. Sublimely confident in his own abilities, he feels that he is above most opponents and believes that he is destined to become a legend in the wrestling industry. He is an extreme perfectionist both in the ring and out, taking great care not to botch a spot even a little or stumble over his words. Though he can often be naïve and flighty, once he manages to set a big goal, he'll do whatever it takes to get it.
HISTORY:
A native of the small town of Amherstburg Ontario, Canada, Dean Matthews lived a fairly normal life until the death of a rich uncle. His family inherited a great deal of money - millions, in fact. Eventually, the family used the money to move down to California. When he came of age, Dean took his share of the money and used it to purchase a large house in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
As a lifelong wrestling fan, Dean soon realized the huge opportunities for money-making in that industry; thus, he shelled out some of his dough and enrolled in a good wrestling school. He soon found himself learning the secrets of technical wrestling from various mentors. Dean graduated with top-notch mat wrestling ability, though he was certainly no slump in other areas of the sport.
Dean immediately headed to the indy leagues and made a name for himself there, staying there for a while before signing a contract with New Attitude Wrestling. He quickly rose through the ranks, claiming the Mid-Atlantic Title and becoming one of the company's most talented workers, not to mention one of the most hated heels. However, despite his meteoric rise to success in NAW, Dean found no challenge in the opponents there. He set out in search of a challenge - a search which has ended with his signing of a GXW contract.

Enterance:
As "Sharp Dressed Man" plays through the arena, the lights shift to slowly rotating white as Dean Matthews steps out onto the top of the ramp. He adjusts his coat in one way or another before raising his arms, cuing white and gold columns of pyro to explode spectacularly behind him. Dean then strides down to the ring. If his opponent has already arrived, Dean measures him up carefully; if not, he'll play to the crowd.
