Background Information:
Appearance and personality: Yeh Shen Li is medium height for a woman (short for a male), slender, muscularly toned, and has a very innocent look to her. She has bright brown eyes, dark medium length fine jet black hair just a little passed her neck. She is beautiful but looks very innocent and isn't very revealing in her physical appeal, but the attractive sex appeal emerges subtlely. Yeh Shen is more conservative and traditional as opposed to her friend Trynyty. She wears to the ring during matches; black tight spandex pants with red with blue outline fire on the sides of the legs, black wrestling light wearing tennis shoes, a red and black sports bra, and her hands are taped from the knuckles up to the wrists with black tape.

Wrestling style: Yeh Shen is a pure martial artist but she has learned to combine high flying wrestling technical wrestling along with her martial arts to mix things up.

History: Trynyty Wang and her best friend Yeh Shen Li grew up in Shanghai, China almost all of their lives. Both of their families have actually known each other for generations now. Although they are not related by blood, but because of the bond of friendship it almost appears as if they are. There fathers were partners for a Karate dojo in Shanghai where they learned the martial arts. Their particular favorite martial art that they do is Jeet Kun Do seconded by Kung Fu. Both of the girls were very active in high school being apart of the drama, taking music classes, dancing, and doing speech and debate. They can sing and dance very well combining their background in martial arts into their routines. They won high honors in major competitions in China.

Upon graduating from high school, the girls were accepted to travel with a traveling drama and entertainment troup that toured the world. While they were touring they took their first trip to the United States. While performing in Kanas City, they met then EWI superstar, "HellFighter" Michael Shutt. After talking with the girls for quite some time and telling them what he did. He told them to look him up at EWI headquarters. Obviously that HellFighter was attempting to recruit the girls, they took this as another opportunity for them to evaluate for the future when their tour was over. Upon returning to China, the girls looked into EWI and consulted their parents. Although hesitant at first they got the approval to go. The girls took another trip to America and looked up HellFighter at EWI headquarters. HellFighter was able to persuade EWI personel to sign the girls as the first official female tag team. From there, Twin Pheonix were born.

Twin Phoenix debuted on an episode of Heatwave along with a slew of other hopefuls trying to make their mark. Out of all of the rookies trying to make their mark, Twin Phoenix were the only ones that made a remark. They faught fellow rookie males, The Thrill Killas. Althought the Killas won the match via countout, the girls had the match one with their blend of martial arts and non stop high flying offense. Many believe that had Rosanna Fairhurst not interfered, the girls would of defeated these men into the mat. From there until the EWI merger with the Nthwa to become GXW, Trynyty and Yeh Shen have forged an ongoing fued with Fairhurst and Miso that has lasted to the day.

When the merger took place, Trynyty and Yeh Shen were forced to leave the the tag team division that gave them their pro wrestling start, and enter the small up and coming GXW women's division. Althought against the move, the girls took their place without a whole lot of complaining. Again they would face their rivals Fairhurst and Miso along with some new faces like Lori Wilson and Jennifer Rowe. Since the women's division is primarily singles competition, Trynyty and Yeh Shen have found that at times their friendship has been put to the test because of the intense competition, but they are attempting to perservere.

Now Trynyty is attempting to move on while she tries to get her feelings in line with fellow GXW superstar, Zell Hunter trying to start a relationship with Yeh Shen being the friend she has always been. Along with the troubles of the women's division, who knows what is in store for the girls in 2003. Only time will tell for sure.

Enterance: (The lights go completely out. The GXWtron shows pulsing soundwaves that flow in sync with the beginning intro rifts and beats of "The Current" by Blue Man Group featuring Gavin Rossdale. The main arena lights are then replaced with really fast and trippy purple and red strobelights that also are choreographed with the song.)

(Que up a very loud single pyrotechnic blast fires into the air from the stage as the song picks up it's intensity.)

(Fog intermixes in with the smoke from the pyro at the stage just as a figure begins to emerge from the smoke and fog. The figure indentifies herself as Yeh Shen Li. She steps out to a nice crowd pop. She does some martial arts kicks and punches to showcase some of her talents for the crowd.)

(Yeh Shen Li walks down the aisle trying to greet as many outstretched hands as she can en route to the ring.)

Tommy King: "Now making her way to the ring. From Shanghai, China. She is Yeh Shen Li."

(She arrives at ringside where she leaps up on the apron then springboard jumps off executing a full 360 degree roundhouse and landing on her feet in the center of the ring. She runs to each of the four turnbuckles to soak up the cheers from the crowd as the song slowly begins to fade out.)

There are two versions to this move:

1) If the guy/girl is laying on the mat, she executes a backwards shooting star press.

2) While the oponant is still groggy and standing, She quickly gets up on the top rope, facing toward the crowd, she jumps off backwards, over and behind the opanant, while in midair, she catches the back of the oponant's head, and snaps it back with her on the way down like a backwards flipping neckbreaker.
