I'll give it a try....
"Cool" Cancer Jiles vs. "Simply Sensational" Sean Edmunds"
I really like how Edmunds played off of CCJ's gimmick and I enjoyed the multiple character interaction within his roleplays. As for CCJ, I think that he did well, but I wish there was a little more development (i.e. scenes) to go along with the trash talking. I give Edmunds the edge in this one.
Winner: "Simply Sensational" Sean Edmunds
Max Blackshire vs. Kiyomori
Kiyomori's first roleplay was very well done and a nice start to the thread. Blackshire countered nicely, pointing out flaws (which is always a bonus in my book). Kiyomori came back with another solid roleplay just before the deadline. I agree with Paul, as I wish he would have had an opportunity to counter. I'll be honest, this is one of the reasons why I try to put out the first roleplay because coming into a tournament like this with a ton of unknowns (and no back history to work with), its difficult to wait for them to put out the first strike. I have to give the edge to Kiyomori in a close one.
Winner: Kiyomori
"The Only Star" Eric Dane vs. "The Cure" Matt Caje
I felt like both of Eric Dane's roleplays were very similar and I didn't see the need for going through a match by match breakdown, rather than simply focusing on your opponent. Although he only put out one roleplay, I really like Matt Caje as he did buy into the trash talking of Dane and remained focused.
"The Cure" Matt Caje
Boogie Smallz vs. Jesse Ramsey
Sadly a no-show on Ramsey's part, but very well done in Maddog's second roleplay in typical Boogie Smallz fashion.
Winner: Boogie Smallz
Jacob McKail vs. "Total Elimination" Eli Flair
A nice overall roleplay battle between McKail and Flair. However, I've always liked Flair's style and I'm going to have to lean that way in this one.
Winner: "Total Elimination" Eli Flair
Mikey Massacre vs. Alias
Another no-show....why is it that I had to tough battles in the first two rounds, yet there still continues to be no-shows? I understand that things come up, but its not difficult to put together a skeleton roleplay and fill in the holes as needed for your opponent.
Winner: Mikey Massacre
The Phantom Republican vs. Shane Rothenstein
I'm loving the stuff from the PR. His roleplays are well researched and he plays the character perfectly. A decent roleplay by Rothenstein, but not enough for the PR.
Winner: The Phantom Republican
I didn't comment on my own match because obviously I'm going to be bias, however, these are my picks for bracket 3.
