Personality:
Supremely confident in his abilities without ever becoming deluded. Andy has been around the block long enough to know exactly what he’s capable of, and he’s well aware of his shortcomings. Good-natured, playfully cocky, and humorous. Takes no shit from anybody, and will call you out on your bullshit as soon as it leaves your mouth. Wise. Completely in-love with the sport of professional wrestling and dedicated to squeezing every last drop of enjoyment out of it.
Wrestling Style:
Outrageously powerful, light-footed, and as technical as they come. Andy primarily utilises a strength-based offence and excels at throwing dudes around the ring. Lots of suplexes and slams. Can brawl if necessary. Not averse to a game of one-upmanship either, particularly when it comes to striking exchanges. Like his brother, a very strong Japanese influence in everything he does.
Real world equivalent: halfway between Cesaro and Kenta Kobashi.
Usual Match Tactics: (clean / dirty)
Clean and fair. A very “in your face” wrestler who sets-out to impose his will on the competition. Will look to grapple his way into opportunities to drop his opponent on their goddamn head, over and over. Generally fights the same way every single time, because there’s nobody in the business he can’t lift, but will make subtle adjustments depending on who he’s facing.
Usual Spots / Gimmicks:
- If the opponent’s talking shit, he’ll drop ‘em with the STFUppercut, then shout “shut the fuck up” along with The Faithful, because obvs.
- Rule of Three transitioned into the Anaconda Vice.
- Shitloads of chop, forearm, and elbow exchanges.
- The Highland Hangover usually comes directly after a Hex Breaker.
- Looooooottttttttsssssss of deadlifts.
- Sprinting European Uppercuts to a cornered opponent. Or two cornered opponents. Or three. Four? Aye.
