# THE SHOW IS POSTED!

# Everyone gets a free week from TONIGHT to read the show and post feedback.

# After this free week, there are going to be a lot of things going on, including figuring out how to mix all of the new people and characters into the flow of DEFIANCE, as well as get current people something to do for the next arc or two.

# Some of the things that are on tap include big picture booking with a number of individuals, house cleaning of the forums, advanced discussions about setting up the DEFIANCE Tag Titles, a serious discussion about adding a third singles title to the mix, and probably some other stuff that I am unable to remember at the moment. EXPECT UPDATES.

# Speaking of the next arc or two, we are officially on the HOME STRETCH of DEFIANCE's first calendar year and that means the build to DEFCON is becoming real. Several people already have partners for the next two arcs and everyone else new or current will be helped getting a dance partner as it were.

# So that all means I will be starting to call on people, who already have partners to work with, to start showing me some progress on their booking for next arc. We should be able to get the first show of the next arc out by the end of the month at the latest, but with all the new people, I am not going to force it for the sake of expediency.

# We're also aiming to finally run the first official episode of the DEFcast to follow up on ASCENSION, talk the future of DEFIANCE, and probably a healthy dose of this communities penchant to talk about random fuckery. Expect this to go down this coming Friday or Saturday, a concrete update about time and day will be made VERY SOON!

# Want to say welcome to Pete, Bobby, and Jason, and now officially (as of this show with a segment), Mikey! Good luck, hope that I can help make your stay as positive as possible.

# Alright, enough of my rambling. You all have a show to read, hope you enjoy, and if you wanna be the coolest, you'll feed this goddamned back and reward your fellow handlers for the huge effort that we've all put into this thing.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #59 IS NOW LIVE!

Enjoyed the last card and this one, mostly for being able to subtly tell the story I want to tell while watching Damien and Evan work their side of things.

Disappointed that no one seems to give a crap about feedback anymore since it's one of the things I look forward to the most. In an angle fed where we already know a lot of what's coming from our own sections of the show, seeing what people uninvolved with my stuff think of what I'm doing is a very large part of the fun.

So, in lieu of segment by segment feedback on this show, my feedback is this:

Feedback in a fed is absolutely essential, and relaxing the requirement to give it is a mistake. It will slow to a crawl, and then disappear completely. I've seen it too many times. You'll hear excuses as to why someone can't write feedback, then you'll see that same person chilling in skype chat during the day. Sometimes, they'll even make sure their time in the chat itself is spent letting everyone know how busy they are. They'll send you a private message when they feel guilty enough about it, when they could have spent that five minutes they spent writing the message to jot down some simple feedback on the show. Excuses will flow, and they'll all be bullshit.

So, that's my feedback.

Other than not providing any feedback, you're all doing super. Love your work.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #59 IS NOW LIVE!

Gonna skip over anything I've written for this show other than to say I hope the people I worked with this week liked it.

--The rundown was hilarious this week and glad that James channeled his inner Mean Girl with one of the signs.

--Donald Trump Supporter is a goddamn gold mine for cVc and personal apologies to Dan for not getting to this sooner than I did. Hopefully, my shitty Sharp dialogue didn't drag this down too much. The rest was gold.

--These Omega segments have been pretty killer. When Omega really gets going in-ring, I really think he could be like THE fucking monster of DEFIANCE. Granted, he's on my dance card right now, but I would fucking love to see Omega/FDJ as either a feud or even a one-off match.

--The build of Jake Donovan beating up some of the BRAZEN folk has a great old-school feel to it (or like current NXT format where they showcase a guy over a job guy/PC student). The post-match with Horry was well done also and now I want to see Donovan get the shit beat out of him (in the best way possible.) The pyro gimmick has been gold for Donovan and looking forward to the blow-off of this feud.

--Great job with the Comedy Hour segment. Lindz/Harmony have a great thing going here and should there be a tag team division, I think I'd like to see these two as a pairing. Keyes is cracking me up, too, but I definitely want to see him in a feud sooner than later. HUGE win for Harmony also over a former SoHer Champion (and even more impressive that he was one of the most dominant ones).

--Evan and Damien have produced some great stuff and the Box/Euge segment was no exception. You can really sense the desperation in Dewey's character, wanting to continue making history (which is a great motivator) and Box is primed and ready to take him down... and the moment when the knife goes into Dewey's back will be great (At least that's where I think this is going.) Likewise, Dan Ryan and Lindsay Troy's own issues have been slowly simmering nicely. Personally hoping for a full-blown feud between the two down the line.

--Booya/Walker was a fun match in a series of the CPI moves and Penn is such a glorious shithead. I like how a lot of these matches tonight have done a great job of advancing other stories, which leads to...

--A very smartly-booked gauntlet match. Horry/Donovan continued, we got a little bit of the Vikings on the main card, and The Euge fakeout was great at the end. I love how the latter turned out to be his ultimate undoing and Troy with a pinfall victory over Eugene Dewey should send him even more off-the-rails than he has been. The FIST Title match is fucking stacked and can't wait to see how that unfolds.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #59 IS NOW LIVE!

THE RUNDOWN
Me.

IMMIGRATION REFORM
SNOWBACKS! That's going in the next rundown signage. That last line from cVc was awesome. Seriously, this was a nifty little segment that mixed it up with a handful of people. This is how you can use a character to involve others, seems like a meaningless segment, but it can be a starting point for things, which makes it worthy of being on the show. Other than some derpy typos, I dunno why Dan was feeling off kilter about the final product, I thought it was good.

SHARP v NATAS
There is a simple detail in this match where Natas is already looking blown up and it causes him to go to a weaker part of his skillset, which gives Sharp an open door to getting right back into the match. That is perfect and it goes well with what Murr wants to do with Natas these first couplafew arcs. Really well done.

PREY - PART 3
Creepy, big sonuvabitch is creepy. It's like if you took Mankind, made him 7 feet tall and black. I'll echo what Lindz said on the 58 thread, I look forward to what you can do with an actual partner.

JAKE v WALTER
Solid heel work by Jake, but this is all about Sam finally blowing out some steam here after getting burnt by Jake at AOD and watching Jake's fire based shenanigans for weeks now. The PPV match is gonna need to be some serious violence to blow this deal off and, HOPEFULLY, spin both of you off into solid directions.

THE LAST NERVE
Me, Seth, Murr... Seth and I are having so much fun writing the SMB's.

MERRY KEYESMAS
Because of course Keyes would confuse Harmony and Lindsay Troy... And I still wanna know what was in the box, damnit!

HARMONY v cVc
No more cocked back and fuckin' loaded, WAT?! (it's cool, Dan, don't freak out, haha)... A solid first chapter, plus the Keyes run in calls back to what he said in the seg prior: "I'll find a way to make it up to you, for your kindness." Also, I like doing segments that can flow into the next match, everybody, take note and remember that if you write a bit to end correctly, it can lead directly into a character's match. This will help with trying to figure out where to put SOME (not all, but some) segments, it's also not a directive, just a general idea to consider as an option... so let's not have every segment needing to lead into a certain match.

I'M NOT THE NERD YOU'RE LOOKIN' FOR
Me and Seth have more fun again, this time with Ty-Walk... Also of note, Ty calling Alecz and Booya the "Super Muscle Bros" is how that name becomes a thing for others to refer to them as. Maybe not over night everybody does it, but it gradually picks up steam.

DUSTY & WOLFE v ALECZ & FLEX
Classic heel refusing to start against his rival is classic.. Good back and forth that doesn't spoil Alecz vs Dusty at Ascension and then the chaos of FDJ and Angel, playing off the BRAZEN show Seth wrote up... Nice sneaky way to have Alecz snake the win after Joe hits his Suplexplex (Barry Windham style, yo).

ONLY YOU
At first I was confused with Euge bitching up here, then I got it, and of course Ol' Boxer ain't falling for none of this horseshit. Basically, this is another perfect use of the Euge and Boxer characters by Dames and Evan, bravo, boys.

SOHER - JONNY v TY
Me.

DIPLOMACY
Last minute seg by Seth is last minute, but it does it what needs to so we don't have to squeeze more in later... That line from Evans about doing the match when it will sell some tickets is straight of the Eric Dane handbook, well played, wanted to make sure I pointed that out.

GORILLA... IN THE MIDST
FRANZ!... Also dat awkward silence... Also... foreshadowing? [sprawlarz?] More Brunk and Lindz doing good talky stuff.

FIST OF DEFIANCE CONTENDERSHIP GAUNTLET
All the props to Lindz for battling right as she was diving head first into a sinus infection to get this done. Additional props to Evan for coming in to help out. I helped plot a couple sections to help out as well for the sake of being able to just focus on writing. Well done team. This whole main event played off so many things, the subplot of the Vikings in BRAZEN wanting a shot at the trios, Sam and Jake getting a little main event spotlight for their deal, and of course, Euge coming in as a double surprise entrant. Everything was well played IMO. At this point, for me, it's not so much the action itself, but what was supporting the action... the conflicts themselves.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #59 IS NOW LIVE!

THE RUNDOWN
I love the signs, reminds me of the late 90’s early 00’s RAW and Nitro’s when that was all you could see in the crowd. I contributed two signs. Rudolph doing the job to the giant DEF fist was pretty cool.

IMMIGRATION REFORM
cVc’s “There’s no background checks in this gun show, bitch!” was the line of the night for me, I lol’d for a good 3 minutes straight. But saying a line like that and flexing at the same time may get him some heat with the Super Muscle Bros. Crank gotta be careful.

SHARP v NATAS
The white meat babyface Andy Sharp, gets a good win under his belt. Whenever I read his matches I always think of him as a high flying version of Ricky Morton circa the 80’s where you could get heat on him just by scowling at him. I think an Andy Sharp/Jake Donovan feud could be MONEY! Evil High Flyer vs. Good High Flyer--High Flyingness ensues!

PREY - PART 3
Speaking of throwbacks, OMEGA here is putting a new twist on vignettes. Like a self narrated vignette and it completely works. DEF’s new monster, anybody?

JAKE v WALTER
Jake looking awesome, and it’s been a privilege writing with you, Blue.

THE LAST NERVE
SMB may be DOA effin’ with Dusty… no more FLEX on the Beach, no more FLEX in the City, no more FLEX Sells, no more *gasp* FLEXUAL HEELING

MERRY KEYESMAS
Yes, all hawt women wrestlers look the same. Easily. If Sam didn’t know Harmony personally (and didn’t get beat up by LT--more on that later) he’d be in the same boat.

HARMONY v cVc
The Beauty with a Booty, to me is a solid contender and rival to Andy Sharp for white-meat babyface of DEFIANCE. That said, she plays off cVc PERFECTLY. cVc as an antagonizing, chauvinistic, dangerous heel to Harmony can only boost them both up, and can only end one way: Harmony’s one night stand with cVc that turns her completely heel. lol

I'M NOT THE NERD YOU'RE LOOKIN' FOR
SMB now pickin’ on MUHBOITAH?! AW HALE NAW! #HOOD FLEX #INTERRACIAL FLEX

DUSTY & WOLFE v ALECZ & FLEX
I liked the psychology in this match, and wouldn’t be surprised to see a seg where the SMB’s and Team HOSS conspired to set Dusty up, which could as of the seg before it, bring in MUHBOITAI for some retribution. But against the combined might of HossFLEX who could Ty and Dusty recruit to help even the odds?

ONLY YOU
I liked this, Euge shooting for this goal with the length of his title reign, all while his world is closing in on him. Box wanting the FIST of DEF too, plays into Eugene’s building paranoia

SOHER - JONNY v TY
Not a bad night for the SMB who cap the night off, showing they are top heels in DEF. With Aleczander and Krueger getting the ‘W’ over Dusty and Wolfe, and Booya winning here, FLEXual Assault is on the rise--wait a minute...

DIPLOMACY
This served to set up the matches for the next DEFtv and for Ascension, and played a bit into Star Wars with Kels as Darth Vader looking to force choke everybody for barging into her office demandin’ shit. Fortunately she didn’t have to force choke anybody as her army of Stormtroopers played by DEF Sec were there to preserve the peace.

GORILLA... IN THE MIDST
The tension between LT and Dan Ryan is off the page, and if anything pops off between the two, they’re in laws, which means Holiday death matches, Birthday Cage Matches, Street Fight Weddings, Last Man Standing Bar Mitzvahs (though that last one does sound pretty awesome)

FIST OF DEFIANCE CONTENDERSHIP GAUNTLET
It’s not secret I mark for the LT character. The Glory to the Uncrowned Queen sign at the beginning was one I requested, and plays in how she’s been realized these past few shows and arcs. This is the other story playing into Eugene’s paranoia. The Queen won’t stop coming for him, and is going through everybody to get to that FIST title. It’s like she’s Mrs. Pac-Man and ate one of those powerups that turned Eugene blue, and she’s eating everything else up until she gets to him. Just hope that for her sake, that Eugene doesn’t shake off that blue state cause if he does, it’s ‘Game Over’.

All in all awesome show. I’ll try to be better at the feedback.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #59 IS NOW LIVE!

Intro
Great rundown of the show and last “weeks” action. I laughed, I learned, and I cried… ok I didnt cry, but the rest was true, Good stuff, love this commentary team. The signs tho…. those are gold.

Immigration Reform
Chance is endorsing Donald Trump for president when he’s inturrupted. Multiple times. First by Harmony, who doesn't see all too mad that CVC cost her a title shot on the last show. She gets her quips in tho, before Andy Sharp gets in on the action. Nice seg, getting CVC all riled up, damn dirty snowbacks and their metrics!

Sharp vs Natas
Good match, I'm enjoying the Natas come back story. He’s trying but not yet in the ring shape he needs to be in. It reads well, That being said Andy Sharp is a fun character to read as well. He has a quick style that translated well in this match, and those signature moves are legit. Good stuff.

Prey Part 3
OMEGA continues to be one creepy bastard, He now sets his eyes on Dan Ryan, and asks the world what would happen if he took someone like Ryan out? Making each and every fan question their own integrity. Great stuff, be careful tho as these segs can get repetitive so you will need to mix it up every time.

Jake Donovan vs Walter Levy
This match was brutal. Donavan with the upper hand Levy with some big comeback spots, but the frustration sets in for Jake and he begins to toy with his opponent. Not ending the match multiple times on purpose before finally the return of Sam Horry and the revenge of the burning. Horry goes nuts on security and it takes Ty Walker to calm him down.

The Last Nerve
Jason Natas runs into the resident meat heads backstage who begin to go right back into making fun of him for being a Nerd when suddenly Natas has had enough and fights back. Only to be outnumbered by the lumbering Giants. In steps Joe Wolfe and Dusty Griffith, to save the day, only Natas is not exactly thankful.

Merry Keyesmas
Fun segment where Keyes runs into Harmony and mistakes her for Lindsay Troy. LOL lots of fun in this one, and hits em with the surprise gift that we will al eventually find out what it was. Hilarious.

Chance Von Crank vs Harmony.
Great match here, nice action and great storytelling. An overconfident Crank has to go against the underdog Harmony who gets the big upset win after catching crank off his guard a few times. Crank doesn't like it and seeks revenge but just in time Henry Keyes makes the save. Well written, the man who didn't know Harmony wasn’t Troy is now saving her hmmmmm….

I’m not the nerd you are searching for
Ty Walker runs into the meatheads who are absolutely laugh out loud awesome! Loving the team of Booya and Aleczander! They exchange words, and suddenly tonights match is for the SOHER title! Wooooo buddy!

Griffith/Wolf vs Aleczander/Flex
Fun read here, great story teling betwen this match and the segment that came before it. I enjoyed this one throughout.Enjoyed the face team of Griffith and Wolfe, really felt like how a real Hee/Face match would go. Aleczander in no hurry to mix it up with Griffith despite his talk to the contrary, FDJ costs the match, but this is not over.

Only You.
Eugene Dewey, current owner of the Fist of Defiance, comes looking for Bronson Box. Finds him, and in a strange twist of fate, offers him a one on one shot at the championship! Oh, one catch! He has to help Dewey walk out of Ascension with the title. Box has too much integrity for that and wants to give him his biggest challenge yet! Going hard in the Ascension match.

SOHER Title - Booya vs Walker.
Awesome match! WOW! This started hot with the big man getting control, Before Walker uses his experience to get the big man angry, knowing he would make mistakes. Throw in a body slamming session, An appearance by Aleczander, and the false win. You have something that reeks of awesomeness! Great match felt it.

Diplomacy
We catch up with Kelly Evans backstage who gets a visitor. Thomas Keeling. He wants Angel Trinidad to face FDJ tonight! Evans denies the request and makes the match for Ascension! WOOOOOOO! Exciting stuff. Good seg.

Gorilla….In the midst.
Lindsay Troy is headed to the ring for her Gauntlet match. She runs into Dan Ryan, after some back and forth, he wishes her luck and extends an assurance of help if it gets out of hand.

The Gauntlet part Deux
Lindsay Troy gets one of the twins (both of the twins) frmo the Viking War Cult first. Never heard of these guys, instantly into it though, I love Monster characters who actually have good stories. The do the ol Blu/Bruise/DOA/Harris swap move. Clearly she wins the first round after a miscommunication by the challengers. Well done.

Sam Horry is up next. It was a hell of a strong style martial arts battle between the two, both beating the hell out of one another. Unfortunately for Horry, Jake Donovan comes to ringside and attacks, causing a countout.

Nicky Corozzo comes out next but before he can get to the ring Eugene Dewey comes in and flattens Lindsay. Nicky concedes and lets Dewey continue the match. Dewey dominates the majority of the match. Only to have Troy move out of the way of his finisher, and she hits hers and rolls him up! Linsday Troy is in!

Awesome match, great progression. Looking forward to the next show.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #59 IS NOW LIVE!

THE RUNDOWN
Always good. I have no complaints. Well done, James.

IMMIGRATION REFORM
Always entertaining from Dan. He didn't feel good about this? eh, I thought it was entertaining. Maybe I'm easy to please. :)

SHARP v NATAS
Looking good. Keeping an eye on what happens with Natas, and Sharp as well.

PREY - PART 3
Big fan of Ed from way back, and I'm enjoying reading Omega again. I know some things, so I shouldn't say too much.

JAKE v WALTER
I need to go back and read more of this. It caught my attention, so that's good.

THE LAST NERVE
Okay, come on guys. You're ridiculous. LOL That's a compliment, for the record.

MERRY KEYESMAS
LOL, and Keyes is better and better. I knew I liked this character the moment I first read him!! ;)

HARMONY v cVc
Solid stuff with a good lead in from the Keyes segment. World building stuff with details that I like.

I'M NOT THE NERD YOU'RE LOOKIN' FOR
More of this foolishness. :)

DUSTY & WOLFE v ALECZ & FLEX
Again, I know stuff. Can't say much. Great psychology in this match. James said the end was Barry Windham-like, who I was a bit of a mark for. I dug it for sure.

ONLY YOU
Building building building. Is it any doubt that Dewey and Boxer segments are going to be great? It's fun to see them on the other side of the main event build. We're like two parallel stories heading for a collision.

DIPLOMACY
Eh, last minute last shminute. You can write these in your sleep, Seth. You're up there in that category to me.

GORILLA... IN THE MIDST
Me and Lindz do the TALKZ.

FIST OF DEFIANCE CONTENDERSHIP GAUNTLET
Lindz with the sinus infection special. Good opponents here too. And props to Damien having Eugene involved in a way that makes LT for the PPV main event. Again, can't say much as I obviously know a lot of details moving forward.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #60 IS NOW LIVE!

Here's my feedback:

Quotent Quotables:

I writed dis.

The Rundown:

Did the job.

Dusty Griffith v. Jason Natas:

Seemed like a good basic go-home match. Continues tensions with shmozz ending. Somewhat predictable, but no complaints really. It's solid booking. I like Team HOSS, and that was good stuff to close out the bit.

One Thing Leads to Another:

This was fun world building stuff. It started to ramble on after a while but it was entertaining, so that's forgivable. Better have good fleshed out segments like this than thinly developed ones.

TEAM HOSS v. FDJ & Massive Cowboy:

Another shmozz finish. I get it. It's a go-home match. I feel like I can feedback this on autopilot because of that, though. I know this was a clusterfuck ending, but I didn't see where an actual ending to the match was written into the text. Nothing from the ref calling it or anything, unless I just read right past it. Eh, it builds. Well written.

Cards on the table:

I co-writed dis.

Harmony & Henry Keyes v. cVc & Jake Donovan:

Solid match. Finally someone eats a pin. Extra star just for that.

If I Can Be Serious...

Excellent segment. Love the interplay between the characters, and smart characterization for Andy Sharp, too. Really enjoyed this.

Southern Heritage Title Match:

Another wonky finish, but I see the need for it more here. This is a title match on the go-home show, so while it's predictable, it's smart booking again. More extra curriculars afterward to keep it moving.

We Found You:

Omega makes his move. I know plenty about Omega since he was in EPW, but I'm excited to see what Ed does with him here.

The People v. Curtis Penn:

Good set up for Ascension. Really nothing to complain about there.

Main Event:

My charac-TAR.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #60 IS NOW LIVE!

DEF REVIEW

Quotent Quotables
Lance Warner creeping the parking lot, waiting for SOMETHING to turn up. He runs into Dan Ryan, asks him about Lindsey Troy but he’s a bit guarded on the subject. Finally he breaks and admits, he wasn't there for her after the show, and it's not his responsibility to be.

The Rundown
Very good intro, and a fun read, love the chemistry between the two guys on commentary.

Dusty Griffith vs Jason Natas.
What a hell of a match this was before interference cut it short. Back and forth, neither guy losing much ground, big moves, had it all. Then the interference from the Muscle Bros. The tables are turned when FDJ and Massive Cowboy come to the ring to even things up. DEFsec breaks up the confusion before anyone is seriously hurt.

Great match, enjoyed it a lot, and thought the end, although messy, works great. Big push for Natas in this one, felt like.

One Thing Leads To Another
This started as very fun with Harmony and Henry Keyes, their chemistry is undeniable. Then I think it got a little jumbled or murky by adding to many faces to it. Near the end I was having trouble keeping up with who was arguing with who, and why no one was stepping into scuffles, and madness. Maybe it was just me, but I get what this was supposed to do, further many storylines as well as set up a match, just seemed like too many people involved.

Team Hoss vs FDJ and Massive Cowboy.
This match was a hellacious big boy fight. Every once in awhile you really need to let the big boys go at it, and brawl all over, thats exactly what this was. Im a bit confused by participants, but maybe its cause I’m new. I have no idea who MASSIVE Cowboy is, not on roster, or managers section, etc. And having read the last two shows, I don’t remember hearing the name pop up. Same with Capital Punishment unless that's just a nickname. Im sure this will clear up in time, and I’m more in the know. OTHERWISE… this was a fun read. FDJ and Cowboy get the win via DQ after Capital Punishment steps in the ring with a chair.

FDJ gets beat up by the entire group post match, and Team Hoss walks off strong.

Cards on the Table
Dan Ryan and Lindsey Troy finally meet backstage and confrontation ensues. A EXTREMELY well written segment. Read naturally and flowed throughout. Found myself rooting for Ryan in this back and forth, and viewing Troy as a bit….bitchy, in her explanation of the situation with the “words happened” thing. But I like the “maybe we're partners, maybe we’re not” dynamic.

Harmony and Keyes vs CVC & Jake Donovan.
WOW, So much action packed into this! I really enjoyed this match from top to bottom. Harmony is getting MAJOR babyface shine, and I’ve fallen in love with the character in the last 3 shows. So innocent and coy. Meanwhile CVC is the exact opposite. Great pairing here and a great result. The finish here was awesome and works perfectly because it really puts EVERYONE over. MOTN so far in my eyes.

If I Can Be Serious
AWESOME SEGMENT! Brought the realness. Super facey move to skip by Penn and shake Booya’s hand. very strong stuff there, this had me hyped up.

So-Her Title Match
Sharp starts off like a ball of fire, and ROCKS Booya early on. Angus’s commentary is hilarious! Clearly he despises Penn. Great match with a cool finish, the on purpose accidental count out. Good stuff there, love the Southern Heritage angle of an injured champion being fought for by someone else.

We Found You
Loved it. I was super iffy on this gimmick since the first time I read it. Didn’t know how this would shake out, or if the creepiness would go over. Tried to reserve my judgement for the pay off, and it was worth it. Cool payoff, super cool creepy moment in the cradle stuff. LOVED IT ALL.

The People vs Curtis Penn
WONDERFUL ESCALATION! This worked very well, and I enjoyed the entirety of it. This has been building for weeks and the payoff here is epic. I cant wait to see this ladder War Match. My favorite ongoing angle.

Main Event:
I love the way Bronson Box is always involved, even when he’s sitting on the apron. He still has something to say lol. The cheating champion dynamic was fun with Box wanting him to play straight. Very good match, long and exciting throughout. Great dynamic heading into the PPV. Enjoyed this very much. Eugene Dewey leaves Box behind and abandons the match. It doesnt take long for the distracted Box to get taken advantage of, and Lindsay Troy wins the match for her team. Good stuff.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #60 IS NOW LIVE!

Quotient Quotables:
I named this, Brunk wrote it.

I liked the last minute audible in having Ryan acknowledge Box's play on DEFtv 58 in trying to get into the ASCENSION main event based on his Acts of DEF win over Dusty. It's one more thing to add onto the pile of frustration for Dan, whether deliberate or coincidental.

Rundown:
I'm glad that signs are A Thing That We're Doing because Henry Keyes is totally a Time Lord.

Dusty Griffith vs. Jason Natas:
Yeah, it was a total clusterfuck ending but if you don't want to see Dusty and Natas beat the shit out of Alecz and Booya at the PPV then you're goddamn crazy. CRAZY, I TELL YOU.

One Thing Leads to Another:
Enjoyed how this carried continuity forward from the last show where Keyes mistook Harmony for Troy. The set-up for the match later on in the evening felt a bit forced; like Brunk said, it rambled. That notwithstanding, I did enjoy it. Co-seg of the night for sure.

Team HOSS vs. FDJ and Massive Cowboy:
HOSSFITE!

Liked the different take on this match, going right from the back into "Just In Progress." Another DQ and no one to help the Southern Bastards.

This makes me wonder if there will be any special RINGSIDE BANHAMMERS brought down by Kels on the rest of Team HOSS to try and keep the PPV fights as fair as possible. I guess we'll find out soon.

Cards on the Table:
Wrote this with Brunk.

Harmony & Keyes vs. cVc & Jake Donovan:
Why Chance Von Crank doesn't have a bedazzled robe with Trump's face on it, I dunno. But he should.

Nice Angus line at the beginning "Baron of the BELL CLAP and the Mistress of the Bitchslap!"

Side-bar: Not that I think Tracey is keen on changing Harmony's theme music but she should 100% be coming out to "Bo$$" by Fifth Harmony.

Harmony's taken a couple of losses via sneaky pin here this arc. Lucky for her (or unlucky?) pins mean shit in a Ladder War. Everyone looks good here heading into the PPV. Thumbs up from me.

If I Can Be Serious...:
Meh, sideways references to real wrestlers is meh...

Liked everything else about this. Seth's gotten right back into the swing of things with Andy Sharp after that extended hiatus. Enjoyed him playing up Booya while Penn seethed in the background.

SOHER Match:
The nature of the ending was a little predictable but the aftermath made up for it. Penn's been a solid, top five heel this arc with this storyline.

We Found You:
#RIPKICKPADS

The People vs. Curtis Penn:
The other half of the co-seg of the night. This is how you move things forward without bogging anything down. Nice job, everyone.

Main Event:
This was mostly Damien (and another stellar match it was); I contributed the opening banter and the entrances.

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #60 IS NOW LIVE!

I just finished reading Dtv60, the first show I've read in several weeks if not months.

I'll pause for you all to boo and throw rotten fruit.

All done? Good. The show was phenomenal. I was instantly brought into all of the ongoing angles and ready to see the PPV! That's really what a go home show is all about!

There were some spelling errors in the first Penn segment, and the Omega segment was written in the wrong tense, but aside from those two nitpicky things it was a wonderful show and I'm glad I read it before Ascension!

I'd do better feedback, but it's 1am and I'm tired and gotta be up in a few hours.

Suffice it to say, with the product we already have, plus the additions we've made to the roster today, business is seriously about to pick up in DEFIAland!

Re: ASCENSION ARC DISCUSSION THREAD - DEFtv #60 IS NOW LIVE!

Lance Warner:Bobby Dean is returning to DEFIANCE after some time away, and Cayle Murray was poised to become a permanent fixture in the UTA's main event scene prior to Sunday's news. I can also confirm, separately from these UTA talent acquisitions, that DEFIANCE original Van Carver also resigned with the company.

WHAAAAAAAAT?!
RAAAAAAHHHHH!

Lance Warner:
Long-time members of the Faithful may remember "The Murder Machine" competing against "The Wargod" Bronson Box in the first match on the first ever DEFIANCE show!

The Faithful in the Wrestle-Plex are rocking and rolling with this news. There may even be some bro-tastic chest-bumps going on.

I was referring to the handler when he RPed as Jimmy Kort back in the day. His new character is brand new. Sorry for the confusion.

I wasn't the only one confused by your post, since I asked James if Van Carver was in DEFIANCE before and he said he was, even before Jimmy Kort.

I'll fix this in the results.
