Loved it. I think everyone knew it would be big, but a $200m opening weekend is crazy.

Went to the midnight showing of it on Thursday, loved the movie. And for anyone going to see it, stick around after the initial credits. It's obvious in this day and time that most of these movies leave a teaser for what's next to come at the end, but this is pretty bad ass.

Question is -- Did you wait til the very end of the credits for the second credits scene? :)

I was the ultimate nerd. I went to the Ultimate Avengers screening. Started at 11:30 AM with Iron Man and worked it's self up to the Avengers at Midnight. It even had Thor, Captain and the Avengers in 3D. Total geekfest and I'm not sorry at all.

Sweeeet.

Also yes everyone who hasn't seen it, stick around not only after the initial credits, but until the very very end where-in after the bad-ass teaser... we are given a hilarious scene at the very end that calls back to a Tony Stark one-liner.

Incredible action, hilarious character moments, excellent interaction and relationships built between characters... just... great stuff.

Same, sorta...
I got to go to the Advanced Screening prior to the release... but then came back to watch the Marvel films all the way up to Avengers, and watch it a second time So many hours... but no regrets.

The only bad part of that movie came from my Cellphone telling me Flyers lost in OT to the New Jersey Scumbags aka the Devils. Other than that the movie was crazy good.

Anyone else felt like it became the Tony Stark show too much though?

I'm sure someone will be complaining shortly about spoilers btw.

Not to give spoliers, I'd have to say the time-traveling puppet musical number near the middle just left me confused.

From Day one of Marvel stating they would make Avengers, I figured Iron Man/Stark would be the center piece with the most time on the movie. Go figure, that was not quite true. Seem's Captain America had a bit more time. I was more shocked though that Black Widow was used so much.
Good article here: http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/5/10/how-much-screen-time-did-each-of-the-avengers-get.html
