- Concept

BULL-PRO is a throwback to the territory days of the 70’s and 80’s, with BULL-PRO being one of the smaller promotions in Fédération Internationale des Luttes alliance.

The territory has a bi-weekly live TV show recorded at KAX-10 TV Studios for a small syndication, the weeks in between historical footage is broadcast from the companies sixty year history.

As BULL-PRO runs its shows from a studio TV setting, role-plays should be in the form of ‘in-cards’ i.e., set within the confines of the studio, ring or backstage area.

Additionally or alternatively as we nod to the territory days, most of the TV shows will consist of squash matches with the odd TV main event. Therefore you can write a squash match with your character against one of our Extra/Enhancement Talents.

Shows will be wrote in summary format, the premise of the efed is that it is relaxed and should not take up all of your time to participate in reading or contributing. We’re here to have a bit of fun.

- Backstory

BULL-PRO is the continuation of the Amarillo wrestling territory that has been in existence in way one or another since 1947 when Tommie-Joe Bruce started promoting wrestling cards around Amarillo, El Paso and Lubbock.

After joining the Fédération Internationale des Luttes, Bruce was able to gradually grow the business before handing over the territory to his son Walter Bruce in 1962.

Bruce further expanded into new towns and slowly began to turn the style of the territory into a more violent and rough product, while also recording Saturday television with KAX-10 at their studios on a weekly basis.

It was during this time when Cowboy Le Bouf became the first Amarillo regular to win the World Heavyweight Championship, although he won it and lost it all within the space of ten days while on tour in South America.

During the early 80’s most of Bruce’s top names to promotions in the Carolinas as well as the larger Texas territory Top Class Wrestling, which the Bruce family had a love/hate relationship with for many years.

In 1991 after years of limping by with the regular Saturday morning television slot being moved around and often cancelled without warning for weeks on end, Walter Bruce sold the promotion to two of his top stars Jeff Gunner and Bobby Parsons.

During the 90’s the promotion changed its name many times to Amarillo Xtreme Wrestling, North Texas Wrestling Federation and Ranch Wrestling League.

During this time shares of the office were sold to various people with Cassidy Brewery Ltd taking control in 2002. The following ten years saw a steady if not spectacular product which, while rarely turning a profit did not take the territory into the red all that often.

The latest chapter in the promotion’s history was in the Autumn of 2014 when parent company Cassidy Brewer Ltd went bankrupt during this time the great-grandson of Tommie-Joe Bruce, Leigh Collins exercised the families contractual rights to pick up the territory should it become available for a nominal fee.

Since then Leigh has rebranded the territory ‘BULL-PRO’, negotiated a new contract with KAX-10 to record an hour long weekly Saturday morning show, which will see the channel alternate between broadcasting new material with previous historical footage from the company archives.

- Governing Body

Fédération Internationale des Luttes (FIL) is the fictional global governing body for professional wrestling which was established in 1907 to unify the rules, championships and business dealings of professional wrestling.

Originally their Headquarters were based in Brussels the organisation now has offices in Europe, New York, the Middle East and Japan with more than 50 booking offices around the world all varying in size, style and financial stability.

The current Chairman of FIL is HRH Prince Zaahir Abd al-Rahman of Jordan who works tirelessly to promote the sport around the world.

Occasionally other FIL affiliate promotions will become involved in BULL-PRO storylines whether it is inter promotional shows, tours of japan or the far east or talent exchanges.

FIL recognised world championships normally visit each territory once or twice a year with preference going to the larger promotions.
