*WILL CONTAIN SPOILAGE FOR THE WEST SHOW, WHICH YOU SHOULD PROBABLY BE PREPARED FOR IF YOU'RE READING A FEEDBACK THREAD*
I haven't read the tA Immortal Title match, as I admittedly was dying to dive into the finals, but I read the rest, and I offer humble applause to Katz and any helpers with the West for a monumental effort that I couldn't stop reading.
I really liked the organization of each segment of the West show into "How the West Was Won" chapters. It gave the night a real PPV "This is the BIG ONE" feel, even with Wrestle Bowl still to go.
MARK-OUT MOMENT OF THE NIGHT: Well, for me, definitely Nova's impromptu branding ceremony/rite of passage, followed by his exit from the arena after winning the Finals. Obviously that will resonate with me a little more than dare I say most other people.
On the subject, the very very very maddest of props to Pete for his work with Flair all the way through the Play-offs. I was sure Flair was gonna make it 2-0 against poor Nova, who had a record-setting list of injuries on this show: all his hair burnt off (nice tie-in to PRIME, thank you Katz), a freakin' eagle brand on his shoulder, and a few layers of skin peeled away inside Hell's Kitchen.
Anyhoo, you threw down like a champ, Pete. Well done. If it's really Flair's last match, then I'm honored.
With such a small cast (comparatively with other feds), it was great for Katz to follow each of them after the show through the medium of Randalls' steel guitar. This is the kind of stuff that I know no one else out there is doing, at least not like NFW is doing it.
I'll probably post more later. Just thought I'd get something out here.
