For two hours now, Eli Flair and Angela Davison, otherwise known as Angel Nevenrose, have been walking the streets of San Francisco, looking for Angel's bandmates. They haven't gone back to the club for fear of the police still there.

Still, they're enjoying each other's company.

[font color = "black"]They're an odd pair to be seen walking the streets. Eli Flair is six foot nine, three hundred pounds of muscle, tattoos, and scar tissue. Angela is a "five- foot- short" goth girl with purple hair, black leather/lace/PVC and knee- high PVC boots.

She's proving to be incredibly intelligent.

[font color = "purple"]"So how come you don't want to wrestle anymore, anyway? You kept changing the subject before."

[font color = "blue"]"*SIGH*.... That's a long story."

[font color = "purple"]"You got someplace to be?"

[font color = "blue"]"Ha-ha-ha. I've been a wrestler for seven years now.... most of it has been pretty fun. But when I won the World Title.... I dunno, everything changed."

[font color = "purple"]"How so?"

[font color = "blue"]"There's just a lot of different things that I had to think about. One minute I'm this cult hero kind'a guy, and the next, I'm being held up as a role model whether I want to or not. It's like.... I love being in there and wrestling and pushing myself as far as I can.... but I absolutely hate having to deal with the media, and I hated the second- guessing that every decision I made cost me. I hated the fact that I completely burned my body out in the fall of '99 to try and give the fans a good show.... the same fans that pulled for me to win in the first place were looking to Deacon to 'take the belt from the multicolor- haired freak' five months later."

[font color = "purple"]"You sound like me."

[font color = "blue"]"How so?"

[font color = "purple"]"I love what I do.... singing and writing and performing and making people feel what I sing about.... I'd do it all if there was nobody in the club to hear me. But Mike is intent on making the big money with a major label. I mean.... it would be great to be able to make a living just with my music, but I don't want to have to compromise my views and my words.... they're me, if that makes any sense."

[font color = "blue"]"Believe me, it does."

[font color = "purple"]"And if we were signed, if we actually made it big.... I'd have to be 'Angel Nevenrose' all the time. I'd lose myself in my job.... and I don't know if I have the strength for that. There's times I just want to be ME.... times that I want to be able to be by myself, or be with someone special, or just go to the mall or something without getting more stares and points than I get just for looking like I do."

[font color = "blue"]"Still.... if that's the price you have to pay for achieving your dream, isn't it worth it to put up with some hassles? Isn't it worth a few headaches to do something that you'll never regret being a part of? To do something that could live well beyond your own life?"

[font color = "purple"]"I suppose.... I love seeing the effect my music has on my audience."

[font color = "blue"]"Your music.... that Mike guy didn't write anything?"

[font color = "purple"]"No.... he's only been playing with us for about a year and a half - we've been around ever since I was eighteen. Travis writes some music but most of it, and all the lyrics, are mine."

[font color = "blue"]"So why the hell do you put up with a guy that'll hit you?"

[font color = "purple"]"I don't know.... he.... It's like he made me think that I couldn't do any better.... that for some reason I deserved it when he hit me. He's only done it four, five times in a year and a half, though."

[font color = "blue"]"That's four, five times too many."

[font color = "purple"]"Maybe."

[font color = "blue"]"Seriously, Angela.... find a new guitarist and get yourself signed.... you're too good to rot in that bar forever."

[font color = "purple"]"Yeah? So are you. Besides, I can play every song I ever wrote on any instrument. I play guitar, piano, saxophone, and flute perfectly. You hungry?"

[font color = "blue"]"Yeah.... I could be convinced.

[font color = "black"]They continue walking, talking about nothing in particular.... but Eli can't get his mind off her words....
